Lebois & Co releases the first official photos of its Venturist watch and its successful Observatoire Chronométrique+ test and certificate

The Swiss luxury watch brand Lebois & Co has recently released the first official photos of its Venturist watch and its successful Observatoire Chronométrique+ test and certificate. Furthermore Lebois & Co announces their ‘An Evening with Lebois’ tour where friends and fans of the brand can see and try the Venturist, the Avantgarde Date editions as well as Lebois & Co’s vintage timepieces. Confirmed cities are Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London, Zürich and Los Angeles.

Earlier this year Lebois & Co announced that their newest model, the Venturist, will come with TIMELAB’s Observatoire Chronométrique+ certification which allows this watch to enter the very private and restricted sphere of this Swiss quality certification.

Now, 85 years after the original ‘Compagnie des Montres Lebois & Cie’ was founded (Dec. 14, 1934), the company is proud to share the first official photos of its Venturist and its successful Observatoire Chronométrique+ test and appurtenant certificate.

‘An Evening with Lebois’ tour

Lebois & Co invites friends and fans for an informal evening with their team. To see and try the Venturist but also to check out the Avantgarde Date editions and some of the company’s vintage timepieces or simply to have a drink with the team and talk watches and other important stuff. The Venturist is the second model of the recently relaunched historical Swiss made watch brand. It is a stylish tool watch that stands out for its sturdy yet refined design, while its intricate inner workings are visible through a transparent back. The aesthetics are elegantly contemporary yet subtly inspired by the longstanding Lebois & Co design tradition.

TIMELAB’s Observatoire Chronométrique+ (OC+) standard

TIMELAB’s OC+ certification is based on more thorough and comprehensive testing than the standard ISO 3159, which allows the watch to receive the title of ‘chronometer’, used and followed by laboratories such as COSC.

Instead of only verifying the chronometric performance of uncased movements, the OC+ procedure does so ‘on-the-wrist’ for the fully assembled watch, under various conditions. The power reserve, and resistance to water (up to 100 meter in the case of the Venturist) and magnetism are put to the test as well. Every individual Venturist is tested in Geneva for 21 days and is only awarded the ‘Observatoire Chronométrique+’ certificate if all tests are 100% successful.
