Original Grain American Heritage Collection: Watches Made with Reclaimed Whiskey Barrels, Made in USA

The USA based accessories and time-wear brand Original Grain has launched an online crowd funding campaign to promote its new American Heritage watch collection.

These timepieces are made of wood sourced from reclaimed whiskey barrels or decommissioned prohibition-era rack-houses, sourced from Kentucky. These wristwatches are sourced, handcrafted, & finished with partners across the country in 6 different states.

Co-founded by Ryan and Andrew Beltran in 2013 in Oregon, Original Grain is known for its innovative timepieces made of sustainable hardwoods and steel.

Original Grain American Heritage Collection

The American Heritage collection offers watches in two case sizes: 42mm and 46mm. All of them use Ameriquartz movements made by Fine Timepiece Solutions in their production facility in Arizona, USA.

The production of Original Grain American Heritage watches requires both the delicate processes of traditional woodworking and most advanced CNT manufacturing technologies.

The 42mm version is available either in real bronze or in 316L stainless steel with matte black or brushed silver finish. The 46mm model comes in 316L Stainless steel with matte black or copper plated finish.

All models feature sapphire crystal glass, solid steel case-back with custom Kickstarter backer commemorative engraving, and 5ATM (50 meters) water-resistance.

Presently, Original Grain is now offering the American Heritage collection through a Kickstarter online crowd funding project, with pledges starting at $499. A premium Horween leather strap, handcrafted in South Carolina, can be added to each reward tier.

The online funding period is from 22 August to 02 October 2023, with estimated delivery in April 2023.
