Unveiled at Baselworld 2018, the new Aquis Chronograph model picks up from last year’s redesigned Aquis models, which now feature slimmer, more streamlined cases.
While the case, lugs, crown protectors and bracelet have all been thoughtfully reconsidered, the Aquis’s impressive diving credentials remain. The 45.5mm stainless steel case is water-resistant to 50 bar (500 metres) and features a uni-directional rotating bezel with a scratch-resistant black ceramic insert.
The strap options all have inventive folding clasps with Oris’s sliding-sledge extension system that allows the wearer to adjust strap length without taking the watch off, greatly improving the experience of using the watch. It’s powered by a Swiss Made automatic chronograph movement.
A small gap between the uni-directional rotating bezel and the case means the bezel is easier to grip and adjust. The stainless steel case back features a feet to metres conversion chart and the Oris shield emblem.
