In 2018, Grand Seiko introduced its first quartz GMT watches from the sports collection. It was comprised of the limited edition SBGN001 and two regular production models (SBGN003 and SBGN005). In the same year, the brand also presented SBGN007, a limited edition quartz GMT watch from its Heritage Collection.
Grand Seiko’s ultimate quartz family, the 9F series was launched in 1993. In 2018, a newly developed GMT movement (9F86) was added. The limited edition SBGN007 commemorates the 25th anniversary of the quartz 9F collection from the Japanese premium watch brand. This timepiece belongs to the Grand Seiko Heritage Collection.
An ideal timepiece for the international traveler, Grand Seiko SBGN007 features a stainless steel case. Measuring 40mm diameter and 12.2mm thickness, it is slightly larger than SBGN001. It is topped with a dual-curved sapphire crystal glass. This model does not feature the external GMT/24H bezel. The watch features a date window at 3’o clock.
Limited edition of 1,200 pieces, Grand Seiko SBGN007 boasts a green dial adorned with the quartz symbol pattern. It features an arrow-shaped, vivid yellow color hand for the second time-zone display. As this model does not have an external bezel, the main dial features the 24-H scale by employing indices for even numbers and Arabic numerals for odd numbers.
The Caliber 9F 25th Anniversary Limited Edition watch is equipped with a special Caliber 9F86 movement in which the normal ±10 seconds per year average is enhanced to ±5 seconds per year. A gold 5-pointed star is embellished above the 6 o’clock marker as a symbol of the high precision rate. The movement allows the owner to move the hands without stopping the watch when setting it to local time.
Secured with a screw-lock crown and screw case-back, the watch offers a water resistance of 100 meters. In addition to the Grand Seiko lion emblem, the letters “Caliber 9F 25th Anniversary Since 1993” and a serial number 001/1200-1200/1200 are displayed on the case back.

This watch collection was created in collaboration with Qi Qi, an international supermodel born in Shanghai and grew up in Vienna, Austria. Sophia Kao (widely known as Qi Qi) is married to Hong Kong movie star Simon Yam Tat-wah. Now based in Hong Kong, Qi Qi has her own jewelry brand “QQM”, which was founded in 2017. In 2018, she also cooperated with Memorigin to design elegant tourbillon watches.
Qiqi was grown up in Vienna. During her childhood days, she used to visit the Vienna Woods forest along with the family. Inspired by her childhood memories, she imagined a fairy tale connecting the Vienna forest as the design concept for this Memorigin Qiqi Design Series.
On the skeleton dial, you can admire a little girl walking in the “forest wonderland”, where not only she meets deer and butterfly, but also two rabbits playing on a swing.
To create a sense of depth, the dial was made by 3 layers, 2 layers of Mother-of-pearl and 1 layer of metal. The dial was hand-painted by the brand’s professional craftsmen. The tourbillon located at 6 o’clock evokes the rising sun. The mushroom-shaped power reserve indicator at 9 o’ clock makes the design more fun.
The Memorigin Qiqi Design Series watch is available in red and green versions. For the green version, the case is decorated with tsavorites and diamonds, and natural sapphires are used as indexes.
For the red version, the case is fully covered by diamonds. Natural rubies are used as index. At 12 o’clock position, there is a 360-degree rotating heart-shaped decoration.

Dragon and Phoenix is a spiritual and cultural symbol that represents auspiciousness and harmony. Dragon is considered to be ancestors of the Chinese people. It is the spirit of self-improvement, vigorous and promising. Phoenix represents great virtue, which carries heavy responsibilities and the kindness of the people. Dragon and Phoenix is the balance between Yin(陰) and Yang(陽), the contrary forces that give rise to each other. Therefore, it was widely used in palace culture and celebrations in China.
Memorigin, the Hong Kong Tourbillon watch brand, has combined the Chinese traditional carving craftsmanship and the excellent Western tourbillon watchmaking techniques to create “The harmony of Dragon and Phoenix / Long Feng He Ming” series.
With the background of heaven and earth on the dial, the Dragon that can control the forces of nature is swimming in the blue sea. The immortal phoenix is flying under the setting sun, which forms a harmonious scene. The 24K Gold Dragon is created with reference to the palace’s sculpture in the late Ming Dynasty and early Qing Dynasty.
The facial expressions, hair, claws and even scales are meticulously crafted. The eyes of dragon are made of Burmese rubies which sparkle brilliantly. It is coming up out of the sea and some of its body is driving out of the water. In order to make it more realistic, not only the dragon’s body under the water is sculpted sophisticatedly, but also the ripples spread across the sea, which makes the dragon, looks vivid and lively.
In the center of dial, a relief carved phoenix is wheeling in the sky, which outlines a peaceful picture. The delicate feather of the phoenix represents fine, soft and elegant. In order to create a perspective view, multi-layered mother-of-pearl and metal are used to create a skeleton dial. The Phoenix is embedded 0.5cm away from the dial. It presents a vivid picture of phoenix flying in the air, which shows the superlative craftsmanship.
Another highlight of this series is “Long Tu Zhu” (龍吐珠), the flaming pearl at 8 o’clock position. According to the myth, Dragon has been practicing for centuries in order to refine a pearl, the internal alchemy, in its body.
The pearl will be thrown out by the dragon whenever it absorbs the energy from nature. Memorigin recreates this legend and uses extremely sophisticated craftsmanship to hollow out the Akoya pearls from Japan, and fills several of the world’s most powerful high-tech tritium gas (H₃) tubes within a 5mm diameter pearl with 9 pieces of parts.
They provide superior brightness with a lifetime reaching 40 years. The pearl rotates at a speed of 60s for one circle with the flying tourbillon of a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour at 6 o’clock position. The endless rotation of the pearl implies the eternity and fortune.
The surface of the dome-typed 2.5D solid sapphire glass meets the visual requirements; you can enjoy the fun of traditional sculptures and high-end mechanical craftsmanship from both front and side of the watch. Memorigin has innovated a special automatic tourbillon movement for “The harmony of Dragon and Phoenix” series. Without affecting the operation of the tourbillon, the parts of watch were minimized. It makes the skeleton dial becomes more spacious as if flying in the sky.

Launched in 1999, the Christiaan Van Der Klaauw Planetarium watch features the smallest mechanical heliocentric planetarium in the world. It displays real time the solar orbits of Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. It also shows you the minutes, hours, date and month. In 2013, Christiaan Van Der Klaauw introduced the new generation of the brand’s iconic astronomical watch.
The new series of CVDK Planetarium watches are equipped with the Caliber 7386 automatic movement where as the old generation models house Cal.1196. The brand has also redesigned the dial lay-out.
The Planetarium display is now positioned at the 6 o’clock instead of 12 o’ clock. The new watch features a single sub-dial (at 12 o’ clock) for displaying the date and month where as old-generation models were provided with two sub-dials. In the new Planetarium edition, the seconds hand has been omitted.
The new models stand out with six applied Roman numerals for displaying the hours of upper dial side except 12H, where you will see the brand emblem. The Sun G is positioned exactly in the middle of the Planetarium. The planet closest to the Sun is Mercury. Mercury is followed by Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn.
Planetarium is one of the most complicated timepieces in the Christiaan Van Der Klaauw collection. It is a fitting tribute to the grand masters of planetarium design such as Nicolaas Copernicus, Johannes Kepler, Christiaan Huygens and Eise Eisinga.
The new CVDK Planetarium watch is available in Steel, Rose Gold, White Gold and Platinum case versions as well as in various dial styles. The case diameter is 40mm.
Equipped with the CVDK Planetarium module and twin barrel, the 35 jewel self-winding movement provides a power reserve up to 96 hours. The rotor is engraved with planets, stars and the ‘Sun with 12 Claws’, the logo of Christiaan van der Klaauw.

This chronograph watch by ROUE takes inspiration from the 1970s motor racing. The chronograph complication enjoys decades-long connection to motor sports. MW&Co.Asset Kota Automatic Flyback Chronograph
These timepieces are equipped with customized version of the Eterna calibre 3916A mechanical self-winding movement featuring small second counter, hours and minutes display, date, chronograph display for seconds, minutes and hours, flyback and second stop.
Manufactured by Eterna Movement SA in Switzerland, the 3916A movement features 35 jewels and beats at 28’800 vph. It provides a power reserve of 60 hours. Equipped with a custom designed rotor, this movement can be admired through the sapphire crystal case back.

Introduced in 2018, the watch “Levels” gets its name from the different levels of the dial. One level stands for your home time while the next level shows you the local time of the place wherever you are at the moment. On the third level the “Alexander Shorokhoff”-logo is placed and the fourth level shows the limitation number of the watch. All levels are of different height.
The most important and highest level is placed above the calendar window. There, at an elevated “bridge” a magnifying glass is positioned in a creative and innovative way in order to enlarge the visibility of the relative small date display of the refined ETA movement cal. 2671.
In this arrangement the magnifying glass resembles a monocle and underlines the creativity of Alexander Shorokhov, who is breaking with the practice to built-in the magnifying glass directly into the sapphire front glass.
The complete rose gold-plated “skyscraper” construction is built on a guilloched basement in petrol-blue or silver colour, creating contrasts and harmony at the same time. The colours have been selected perfectly. However, for an avant-garde artist it would be too simple and unimaginative to leave it like that. Alexander Shorokhov is looking to add something extraordinary in order to give the watch an inimitable characteristic.
By applying a coloured stripe of indefinite form the artist succeeded in keeping the perfect arrangement and, at the same time, to impart the watch the unmistakable “Alexander Shorokhoff-design”.
Among other unique watches by Alexander Shorokhoff this model belongs to the special philosophy of “Art on the wrist“ and is produced in limited edition of only 99 pieces per dial.

In 2018, Alexander Shorokhoff introduced Los Craneos, a limited edition watch as a tribute to Mexican artist Frida Kahlo.
At the beginning of the 20th century, artists like Diego Rivera, José Clemente Orozco, David Siqueiros and Frida Kahlo have revolutionized the Mexican art with their independent, avant-garde and for this time colourful nature of paintings. They all became world-famous artists.
In 2017, during his journey through Mexico, Mr. Shorokhov visited museums and sites, where these artists lived and worked. He was fascinated by the power of their paintings and the blaze of colour, by the exposure and creativity, as well as of their inimitable and national character. He was especially impressed by Frida Kahlo, who had a spectacular but dramatic life full of pain and passion. In 2018, Alexander Shorokhov dedicated a new watch “Los Craneos” to her.
Two items serve as main motif for this watch: The skulls and the tapering metal appliqués on the dial. Both elements represent the fight of Frida Kahlo against death. Furthermore skulls are deeply rooted in the Mexican culture as a symbol for gambling with life and death. This watch models name means Skulls in Spanish. The manifold pyramidal tapering metal elements at the dial symbolize the painful corset of Frida Kahlo. The production of such a dial requires a great deal of time and skill, concentration and patience, because all parts are separately made and then applied step by step.
“Los Craneos” is made as a double-time watch in order to illustrate the situation of Frida Kahlo hovering between life and death, a situation that was normal to her; nevertheless shewas always painting and creating her world famous artworks. Placed on one time zone is the calendar, on the other time zone a central second hand is placed. The artists also lived in two time zones – real life was running gradually, while time working seemed to fly by with the speed of light.
For the double time zones two ETA 2671 automatic movements of are used. Both movements are hand-engraved and can be seen through the sapphire glass back of the case. The case is of solid stainless steel with brushed sides and a hand-polished highgloss bezel.
For the design of this watch, Alexander Shorokhoff refrained from the application of colours – there are only black and silver parts in order to illustrate the dark theme of this watch. This watch model is limited to only 47 pieces. The same number of years Frida Kahlo has delighted people in the world with her artwork.
