PWR ‘Journey Ascent’
PWR (pronounced ‘Power’) is a start-up watch brand established by two young entrepreneurs from Australia.
In addition to its primary function i.e. timekeeping, watches also reflect an individual’s character. Every individual has the potential to be and do something great, but it is often forgotten. PWR has created watches to serve as a daily reminder for individuals to embrace their true potential and push towards new boundaries.
Their first watch collection takes inspiration from the stages of a personal journey. The first product line to be released is the Journey line. There are three proposed stages within this line; beginning, middle, end.
The first PWR model, the ‘Journey Ascent’ is a chronograph. This unique line is specially created to reflect the stages of an individual journey with plans for two additional designs to be released in the near future. The full set will consist of; Aspire, Ascent, and Apex. The middle stage, Journey Ascent represents the grind, the hustle, the ascent towards new limits. It is for the individual in the process of a journey, on the path towards their goal.
The brand has launched a Kickstarter online crowd-funding campaign to raise funds for the initial mass production of the first model, the ‘Journey Ascent’ chronograph.
Designed for gents, the ‘Journey Ascent’ features a 42mm diameter case crafted from top-quality grade 316L stainless steel. Measuring a thickness of 11.8 mm the watch case is topped with a screwed stainless steel bezel and scratch resistant sapphire crystal front glass with anti-reflective coating for minimal glare. The watch has a water resistance up to 100 meters.
The Sunray finished dial of the watch features luminous hands & markers, date at 4.30h and Stopwatch function featuring SU Chronograph seconds & minutes sub-dials and 24 hour sub-dial. The watch is available in silver or gold case finish with black or blue dial options.
The watch is equipped with a Citizen Miyota Quartz JS25 movement. The watch is worn on a top-quality grade 316L stainless steel or vulcanised rubber with push-button deployment (butterfly) clasp or strap buckle.
During the Kickstarter Campaign (From 01 Feb to 02 March 2019), customers can pre-order the timepiece with special discount prices offering 45% less than the future retail price. Kickstarter price starts from AU$ 200/US$ 145. Estimated delivery in Jun 2018.
