Raketa “Tu-160 Pilot” Automatic Watch
The Raketa “Tu-160 Pilot” is an Automatic Wristwatch for Russian pilots conceived in collaboration with Tupolev Tu-160 aircraft engineers.
Like the Russian supersonic Tu-160 aircraft (nicknamed the White Swan), the Tu-160 Pilot watch is distinguished by its sober design and its total reliability. The 24 hour dial enables fighter pilots to read the time when it is difficult for them to distinguish day from night as can be the case during flights at high altitude over 50,000 feet or beyond the arctic circle.
The shock protection of the balance wheel protects the mechanism from shocks and vibrations. The key features of the dial have luminous paint which ensures that they remain perfectly visible during night flights and are protected by an ultra-strong sapphire glass.
The watch can resist pressure of 20 ATM (equivalent to submersion to a depth of 200 metres).
The ultra-reliable “Raketa – Avtomat” automatic movement is one of the most reliable in the world and is entirely produced by the Raketa Watch Factory in Saint Petersburg.
