In step with creative impulses, tradition has been clothed in daring apparel, conventions have been flouted and classicism has caught up with the present. This appreciation of time propels the creations by the alchemist from Le Noirmont into an urban and dynamic 21st century. A tribute to its origins and to the values perpetuated for the past eight decades.
In 2013, the Excellence collection is enhanced with new models. The first creations housing exclusive complications – Regulator and Power Reserve, Power Reserve, Classic Chronograph or Classic Chronograph with Moon Phases – are clad in black. The dial is in full black, except for the glint of the silvered hands and hour-markers reflecting the polished case.
Some new, exclusively feminine versions have now been added to these original models. While carefully preserving the technical qualities and aesthetic virtues of the collection, Louis Erard has broken free and reinvented a dedicated three-hand model. In his box of tricks, this magician of time has a steel case, a diamond-set bezel and horns, Roman numerals or diamond hour-markers, and a leather strap or steel bracelet.
But sometimes a conjuring trick needs two, so Louis Erard is offering Pair Watches: 33 millimetres for her, 40 for him. The hours, minutes, seconds and date are either feminine and delicate or sophisticated and virile, but always complementary.
And, all the models except the chronographs are available with a steel bracelet.
