OMEGA Quadrella Mini High Jewellery, Red Gold Version

Introduced in 2007, this Quadrella Mini High Jewellery timepiece from OMEGA’s Constellation family sparkles in the radiance of 1,724 diamonds that adorn this sumptuous and extremely feminine marvel in unique snow setting pattern.

The red gold case measuring 25.30 x 19.30 mm, which is adorned with mesmerizing 10.18 carats worth of diamonds, displays hallmark features of OMEGA’s classic Constellation family with central claws or “griffes” and its bracelet with horizontal links that blends harmoniously with the case.

The snow setting plays on variations of diameter to achieve the effect of snowflakes that generously cover the case, the dial and the bracelet. The diamonds have been set with such skill that the surface of the watch is smooth and soft to the touch. Even the characteristic Constellation claws that hug the case, enlarged for the occasion, have a sprinkling of 15 snow set diamond on each claw. No detail has been overlooked and even the diminutive crown is encircled by the precious stone.

Against this diamond-encrusted canvas, OMEGA’s designers have created a sublime dial with wavy patterns evocative of the sun’s rays or the markers of a sundial. To mark the passing hours, Roman numerals, so distinctive of the Constellation range, have been applied in 18-carat red gold at III, VI, IX and XII o’clock although two of the quarter numerals are slightly smaller in size. The remaining hour markers are represented by 8 diamond indices. The dial features elegant 18-carat red gold “feuille” shaped hour and minute hands that have been diamond polished in keeping with the refined standards of this watch.

The 18-carat red gold horizontal link bracelet is embellished with 1,384 snow set diamonds. The joint bars that separate each link and their sleek polished surface create a pleasing visual contrast in this galaxy of twinkling diamonds.

The dial and precision OMEGA Calibre 1376 quartz movement of the Quadrella are protected by a domed, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides. The OMEGA logo and name have been etched on the inside of the sapphire glass.

Introduced in 2004, the Quadrella range joined the high-end Constellation lineage proposing a curvaceous, “tonneau” or barrel-shaped case, reminiscent of Art Deco styling. Like other Quadrella models, this High Jewellery watch has a battery life of 32 months and is water resistant up to 30 metres.

True to its Constellation origins, the caseback is engraved with the “Observatory Medallion” that alludes to OMEGA’s ongoing association with astronomy and space discovery and the name of the watch, Quadrella. The workmanship that has gone into making this refined ‘mini’ timepiece is extraordinary and, as befits such a luxurious creation, the Quadrella is available only upon request.
