Limited to just 150 pieces, Chrono-Matic 50 celebrates Hamilton’s horological heritage and one of the most significant breakthroughs in watchmaking history— the creation of the Caliber 11 automatic chronograph movement in 1969.
With its impressive 48mm stainless steel case, this automatic chronograph combines high-performance functionality and distinctive vintage flair. The case has a shield function as it protects the pushers and the crowns. Inspired by the creativity of the early ‘70s, the watch emphasizes a vibrant mix of blue and orange.
The two-tone perforated leather strap mirrors the energy of speed, while the orange hands and print details on the dial underscore the chronograph complication and countdown function.
The Chrono-Matic 50 features a chronograph, a technical marvel with two independent time systems—one for regular timekeeping and the other for measuring shorter intervals.
Powered by a separate hand, the chronograph measures elapsed time with counters for seconds, minutes, and hours. For racers and enthusiasts alike, the tachymeter scale offers the ability to calculate speed with precision, making it an indispensable tool for activities like car racing or running.
Each Chrono-Matic 50 features a specially engraved case back with unique numbering from 001/150 to 150/150.
