Hamilton Khaki Aviation Pilot Pioneer

Inspired by a Hamilton pocket watch produced during World War II, Khaki Aviation Pilot Pioneer blends vintage aesthetics with superior engineering. This new sporty and technical timepiece is a dynamic addition to the brand’s popular pilot watch collection.

Hamilton Khaki Aviation Pilot Pioneer

In addition to over one million military wristwatches and marine chronometers, timing devices and other instruments, Hamilton supplied U.S. forces with more than 27,000 Model 23 pocket watches throughout the Second World War.

Hamilton Khaki Aviation Pilot Pioneer

A cutting-edge chronograph of its time, the Model 23 was of particular use to U.S. Army Air Force navigators.

Hamilton Khaki Aviation Pilot Pioneer

Slim, ultra-legible numerals, cathedral hands and an authentic railway track outer scale, recreate the Model 23’s elegant dial aesthetic in the new Khaki Aviation Pilot Pioneer. The result is a sporty yet refined variation on a classic pilot watch design.

While the Model 23 was a chronograph and the Khaki Aviation Pilot Pioneer is not, it retains an indisputably technical feel with its time-only mechanical movement. The most notable features include a bi-directional rotating bezel and a prominent winding crown in reference to the ‘onion’ crowns found on vintage aviation watches (including the Model 23), which were made large enough to be used easily while wearing gloves.

Hamilton Khaki Aviation Pilot Pioneer

The Khaki Aviation Pilot Pioneer is available in two sizes, 43mm or 38mm. The larger version, powered by the ETA caliber 6498-1 mechanical movement, is hand wound and features a distinct small-seconds dial. This version is available in a sleek stainless steel or unique bronze case.

Hamilton Khaki Aviation Pilot Pioneer

The smaller version is available with a stainless steel case, and offers a more understated and multi-purpose take on the design, with no small-seconds display. Its H-10 automatic movement features an anti-magnetic NivachronTM balance spring with an extended 80-hour power reserve.

Hamilton Khaki Aviation X-Wind Collection – New Models of Khaki Aviation X-Wind Automatic Chronograph and Khaki Aviation X-Wind Day Date Automatic

Designed for adventurous loving aviators, the Hamilton Khaki Aviation X-Wind watches are now available in a bold new appearance, with camouflage patterns and new color variants extending across the dial, strap and case.

Hamilton Khaki Aviation X-Wind Automatic Chronograph with stainless steel sandstorm beige PVD case and brown camouflage dial
Hamilton first developed the Khaki Aviation X-Wind watches in close collaboration with master aerobatics aces like France’s Nicolas Ivanoff, to offer pilots a unique new functionality: the chance to calculate their correct drift angle according to wind direction, a crucial element in precise navigation at altitude.

Hamilton Khaki Aviation X-Wind Automatic Chronograph with stainless steel case and blue dial

This highly technical element resulted in a complete rethink of the pilot’s chronograph, requiring an inner rotating bezel to display crosswind and drift-angle calculations, screw-down crowns on the right flank of the watch to operate this function, and the pushers for chronograph operations moved to the left side.

Hamilton Khaki Aviation X-Wind Automatic Chronograph with stainless steel sandstorm beige PVD case and brown camouflage dial

The Khaki Aviation X-Wind Automatic Chronograph is equipped with the advanced H-21 movement with silicon balance spring, extended 60-hour power reserve and day-date display.

Hamilton Khaki Aviation Converter Collection: Khaki Aviation Converter Automatic, Khaki Aviation Converter GMT Automatic and Khaki Aviation Converter Automatic Chronograph

Swiss watch brand Hamilton extends its range of pilot watches with models that make conversions and calculations easy. With the Khaki Aviation Converter, Hamilton is enabling crucial flying calculations to be performed on the wrist of modern aviators.

Hamilton Khaki Aviation Converter Collection

The watch’s distinguishing feature is a bi-directional rotating bezel, whose logarithmic gradations interact with the fixed scale around the dial, creating a ‘slide rule’ enabling mathematical calculations while in flight. This can be applied to critical factors like airspeed, distance, fuel consumption, rate of climb or descent and flight time – in fact, it follows the same principles as the E6B “Whiz Wheel”, a paper flight computer that’s still used widely in pilot training today.

Hamilton Khaki Aviation Converter Collection

The slide-rule bezel is also handy for carrying out various unit conversions: kilometers/nautical miles, pounds/kilograms, feet/meters for instance, or currency conversions for those flying internationally.

Hamilton Khaki Aviation Converter Collection

First member of this collection is the Khaki Aviation Converter 42mm Automatic watch with a sleek black dial that features central three hands lay-out and date function. The watch is available in stainless steel (H76615130 and H76615530) or stainless steel with black PVD coating (H76625530 and H76635730).

Hamilton Khaki Aviation Converter Automatic

The Khaki Aviation Converter automatic houses a mechanical self-winding movement (H-10) with a balance spring made of NivachronTM alloy, an exclusive new material with superior resistance to magnetic fields.

Hamilton Khaki Aviation Converter Automatic

In the cockpit, having a watch unaffected by magnetic forces is critical. This superior balance spring alloy ensures precision in any environment. Military pilots’ watches were the first to include anti-magnetic technology that countered the fields generated by radar instruments. The H-10 automatic movement with 80 hours of power reserve.

Hamilton Khaki Aviation Converter Automatic

The Khaki Aviation Converter automatic is available on a brown and black leather strap or a stainless steel bracelet.

Equipped with the very useful second-timezone function, the Khaki Aviation Converter GMT features a massive 44 mm diameter stainless steel case. It has a blue dial and available with brown leather strap or bracelet. Powered by the H-14 movement, the GMT watch includes an impressive 80 hours of power reserve.

Hamilton Khaki Aviation Converter Automatic GMT

The Khaki Aviation Converter Automatic Chronograph rounds out the collection with its H-21-Si movement. Using a high-tech silicon balance spring, it negates the powerful magnetic forces found around airplane cockpits and flight decks.

Hamilton Khaki Aviation Converter Automatic Chronograph

The Khaki Aviation Converter Automatic Chronograph features a large 44mm diameter stainless steel case. It has a black dial with three sub-dials and day-date display.

Hamilton Khaki Aviation Converter Automatic Chronograph

Hamilton PSR

The Hamilton PSR is a reincarnation of the iconic Pulsar watch, which was one of the emblematic creations of the space-age era.

Hamilton PSR

On 6 May 1970, at a press conference in The Four Seasons restaurant in New York City, Hamilton revealed to the world the very first digital electronic wristwatch. Named the Pulsar after the pulsating neutron stars that emit beams of radiation at ultra-precise frequencies, this seemed an object straight out of science fiction, with no moving parts, no ticking sound, and unmatchable durability and accuracy.

Pushing a button on the side of the watch made the time flash in red LED numerals on the dark screen, while holding the button for longer revealed the passing seconds. The watch could be set via a unique magnetic bar hidden in the bracelet.

The inaugural Hamilton Pulsar, the P1, launched to market in 1972, with an original, space-age design to match its groundbreaking technology. With an avant-garde cushion case and bracelet in 18 ct yellow gold, it was an unmistakably elite product, with a $2,100 price tag that matched the cost of a family car. Elvis Presley was among the pioneers who snapped up one of 400 models.

By the following year, the Pulsar was ready for the general public. The stainless steel Pulsar P2, with a more rounded case design and an improved chip module, launched in 1973, pioneering the nascent market for digital watches. Produced in large volume, it was a colossal success.

Hamilton PSR

The new Hamilton PSR is available in two versions: one in stainless steel, and a version in stainless steel coated with yellow gold PVD that’s limited to 1,970 models.

Hamilton PSR

Both watches feature cases in the inimitable wide cushion style of the P2, with the same dimensions of 40.8mm x 34.7mm. The watches are water resistant to 10 bar (100m).

Hamilton PSR

One of the differences with the previous version is the display of time. The Hamilton PSR features a hybrid display mixing reflective LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) and emissive OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diodes) technologies.

Hamilton PSR

Pressing the button will once again bring up light red OLED numerals in the familiar ‘digit dot’ style, while the LCD display ensures that time is also permanently visible in daylight conditions. Combining both technologies means that the display has very low energy consumption.

Hamilton American Classic Intra-Matic Auto Chrono 40 mm

This new Intra-Matic Automatic Chronograph takes inspiration from Hamilton’s Chronograph A model from 1968. This new model, which revives the famous panda dial, is available in two variants in Black or Blue dial.

Hamilton American Classic Intra-Matic Auato Chrono 40 mm

Designed according to the modern tastes, the Intra-Matic Auto Chrono watch comes in a 40 mm stainless steel case, which is slightly larger than the 36 mm diameter of the 1960s watch.

Hamilton American Classic Intra-Matic Auato Chrono 40 mm

Its case houses the exclusive H-31 automatic chronograph movement. With extended 60-hour power reserve, the H-31 delivers Swiss precision and includes a practical date function.

Hamilton American Classic Intra-Matic Auato Chrono 40 mm

The major highlight of this new model is the original panda dial that was so popular in the 60s and 70s. Even the font and Hamilton logo across the dial are the historic version from 1968.

Hamilton American Classic Intra-Matic Auato Chrono 40 mm

The white dial with black chronograph counters is a touch of monochrome magic from Hamilton, a much-loved design element that is true to the American spirit of the 50-year-old original Chronograph A.

Hamilton American Classic Intra-Matic Auato Chrono 40 mm

As for the carbon-paper blue and off-white matt dial version, the matt finishing gives a unique ‘flat’ effect that is authentically vintage in look and feel as well as deliberately muted for such a striking overall piece.

Hamilton American Classic Intra-Matic Auato Chrono 40 mm

Versatile, classic and designed for those who appreciate classic American style, the new Intra-Matic Auto Chrono also benefits from a soft touch leather strap for added comfort.

Hamilton Air Zermatt 50th Anniversary Special Editions – Khaki X-Wind Auto Chrono Air Zermatt & Khaki Pilot Auto Air Zermatt

Since 2011, Hamilton has been a proud partner of the world-famous Air Zermatt mountain rescue service. In 2018, Hamilton presents two special watches to mark the team’s 50th anniversary.

Air Zermatt is arguably the most famous air rescue service in the world. It employs 65 people and operates nine helicopters across three bases in the beautiful Valais region of Switzerland, which is famous for its towering peaks, including the Matterhorn.

The Khaki X-Wind Auto Chrono Air Zermatt Limited Edition houses the H-21-Si, the first Hamilton chronograph movement with a silicon hairspring. In addition, the movement has been precision certified by COSC (ContrôleOfficiel Suisse des Chronomètres) as a chronometer.

Just 100 pieces of the Limited Edition Air Zermatt watch will be made. 50 pieces will be presented to the Air Zermatt team and the remaining 50 will be made available for sale exclusively in Switzerland. In addition to limited edition numbering, each watch bears the name and serial number of one of Air Zermatt’s helicopters from the past 50 years, or one of the service’s main landing spots to differentiate it, making each piece unique.

The watch also features the Air Zermatt logo on the metal rivets of the leather strap and on the counterweight of the second hand. The team’s distinctive bright blue glacial accents are featured throughout the multilevel black dial, while the characteristically X-shape visible between the pushers and crowns surrounding the case complete the sporty look.

The Khaki Pilot Day Date is the second Air Zermatt special edition. The ultra-readable black dial with contrasting numerals and indexes in blue Super-LumiNova® ensures accurate dial reading even during night flights, while the H-40 automatic movement with 80-hour power reserve makes sure your watch is always ready to fly.

These watches are the third and fourth that Hamilton and Air Zermatt as aviation innovators have developed together following the Khaki Flight Timer and Khaki Takeoff Auto Chrono Limited Edition.

Hamilton New Khaki Field Mechanical 38mm

The latest models from Hamilton’s Khaki Field collection are essential kit for life’s adventurers. One of the most popular and widely produced watches in the Hamilton collection, the Khaki Field was the original soldier’s watch.

Rugged, uncompromising and functional, it was designed to meet the needs of military personnel but also became a firm favorite among Hamilton fans and collectors.

38mm matt stainless steel case, three hand display, dark dial with light, luminescent numerals, indexes showing hours and minutes, durable NATO strap: The new Khaki Field Mechanical is a faithful recreation of its original 1940s forebear and it is true to Hamilton’s military heritage. There is nothing superfluous in this new watch, the original version of which was known as the ‘hack’ watch for its stop second function when the crown is released.

There are two new versions to choose from: Matt black dial with white luminescent numerals and indexes in a matt steel sandblasted case and a NATO khaki colored strap with dark brown leather loops; or brown matt dial with sand-colored Super-LumiNova® hands, numerals and indexes with a sand-colored NATO strap and dark brown leather loops.

Robustness thanks to the stainless steel case and lightness from the hand-winding movement and NATO strap work together in perfect harmony for a piece of essential kit for life out in the field.

Hamilton New Khaki Pilot Auto Day Date

The 2018 Khaki Pilot collection brings together the very best of classic Hamilton aviation look and feel from collections past and adding a modern twist to create pilots’ watches that perfectly represent American spirit and Swiss precision.

The new models have H-40 automatic movements with extended 80-hour power reserves. The new sand-colored Super-LumiNova® indexes and numerals glow neon green in the dark and offer enhanced readability to ensure an accurate dial reading even during night flights.

With ultra-readable dials, and the day displayed at 12 o’clock, these timepieces are reminiscent of analog cockpit instruments from vintage aircraft while the new color schemes and PVD treatment offer a modern take. Dark brown PVD treated stainless steel with a brandy brown leather strap; Steel with a desert brown leather strap and full steel with a metal bracelet are the three versions that make up the collection.

This new collection also sees the introduction of the next generation of Hamilton leather straps. Inspired by the leather flying jackets worn by top U.S. military pilots, the rugged, lived-in look of the straps is authentic to the look of leather that has spent a life in the cockpit under the stresses, strains and G-force experienced by pilots. With stylish hot stamping on the leather, the desert and brandy brown straps blend perfectly with the brown hues of the cases and dials.

Hamilton Khaki X-Wind Auto Chrono 2018 Limited Edition

Based on the original Hamilton Khaki X-Wind Auto Chrono, the 2018 Limited Edition is packed with aviation features for pilots and offers a technical perspective including the ground-breaking crosswind calculator of the original.

Limited to just 1,918 individually numbered pieces, the Khaki X-Wind Auto Chrono Limited Edition features a robust 45 mm stainless steel case.

Inside the case is the H-21-Si, the first Hamilton chronograph movement with a silicon hairspring. This material makes the movement more precise as silicon is non-magnetic and less sensitive to shocks. The former is an important feature for pilots because they often stay in environments with high magnetic fields, such as airports. In addition, the movement has been precision certified by COSC (Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres) as a chronometer.

Thanks to newly shaped hands and Super-LumiNova® numerals in sand color that glow neon green in the dark, the watch has enhanced readability. The multilevel black dial allows the eye to navigate between the three counters, the day date window at 9 o’clock and the turning inner bezels. The X-shape visible between the pushers and crowns surrounding the case complete this multi-dimensional theme.

The ‘H’ buckle and sturdy leather strap are in typical Hamilton aviation style and there is also a metal bracelet for those who prefer a full steel look. With the crosswind calculator on the turning bezel, the Khaki X-Wind Auto Chrono Limited Edition represents the very best of aviation timekeeping from Hamilton.

Hamilton Khaki Navy Scuba

Taking inspiration from last year’s highly successful launch of the Khaki Navy Frogman, Hamilton presents the Khaki Navy Scuba, a colourful and stylistic watch dedicated to adventurous and sports activities.

Less rugged than the tough model that inspired it, and as perfectly suited to summer days at sea as it is to a day at the office, the sturdy Khaki Navy Scuba offers faultless precision in a range of three colorful, fun variations. Emulating the triangular hour-markers of its stylish predecessor, each combines a fun and youthful diving appearance. Solid hour markers stand out on a crisp black dial, ensuring easy reading and contributing to the powerful, look of this must-have summer timepiece.

Available in three sizzling options, the Khaki Navy Scuba’s unidirectional rotating bezel is animated with bright orange detail, complemented by a matching second hand and minutes track, and available with stainless steel bracelet or two-tone, “soft feel” NATO strap designed for maximum wearer comfort on the wrist.  Additionally, a full black bezel and dial is also available and be fitted with a triple-row stainless steel bracelet secured by a smart adjustment folding clasp.

Hamilton Intra-Matic 68 Limited Edition

Hamilton presents a new limited edition collection inspired by the historical Chronograph B of 1968 and known by connoisseurs for its black and white reversed “panda” dial.

In 1968 Hamilton presented two new timepieces among others, the Chronograph A with black subdials on a white dial, and the Chronograph B with two white subdials lying against a black background, creating a “reverse panda” face. This type of dial design was very popular in the 60s and 70s, crossing the ages until this day with perhaps more fans than before. Featuring a clean and monochrome design, this watch is highly valued today by collectors.

Great attention to detail was a key request for the new Intra-Matic 68 Auto Chrono, and many elements have almost remained untouched. The dial in particular stays true to the “reverse” panda face of the timepiece’s origins, and is circled by a white tachymeter scale. Black and white seems to be the overall theme of the watch, with the date on a dark background, a snowy white central chronograph seconds hand and black lacquered counter hands. Inside the polished stainless steel case is the automatic H-31 movement and its 60-hour power reserve, a technical extension most welcome in today’s busy lives. Additional parts that have been adapted to present taste include a 42mm case, bigger than its predecessor, and Super-LumiNova® coating on the hour and minute hands for higher legibility.

Sure to delight Hamilton aficionados and collectors alike, the Intra-Matic 68 Auto Chrono emulates that of its illustrious inspiration with vintage-feel pushers placed on each side of the crowns and the same solid stainless steel case back. This overall retro character and sense of heritage is further accentuated by a domed-shape dial and curved hands. Theblack calf leather strap is a cut-edge type, which uses the most traditional strap-production techniques, and is gently perforated for a 60’s-style sporty touch.

An ideal companion for individuals of character with a taste for vintage charm and watchmaking heritage, the 1,968-piece limited edition Intra-Matic 68 comes with a special luxury packaging as the ultimate finishing touch.
