The latest special edition of the DS-1 Powermatic 80 comes with not just one, but two straps. An exchange system makes it easy to switch from the Milanese stainless steel strap to its mocha calfskin counterpart in just a few simple steps.
So the look of the watch can be varied in style, to suit to the occasion and one’s tastes. The fine mesh of the Milanese strap with butterfly clasp, lends the new Certina DS-1 Powermatic 80 an elegant finish. The mocha-brown leather strap with pin buckle, on the other hand, assures a sporty, vintage look. The watch comes with both straps and appropriate spring bars.
With the help of a small moveable pusher on the bar the two straps can be exchanged without the use of any tools.
But whether Milanese or leather: both straps are a perfect frame for the 40-mm diameter case in stainless steel. The silver-colored, domed dial with refined sun-ray finish is enhanced by blued hour, minute and seconds hands. The slim index appliqués and a date window at 3 o’clock round off the design harmoniously.
The heartbeat within the watch comes from a modern Powermatic 80 automatic movement with up to 80 hours power reserve. The proven DS Concept, which has provided Certina watches with «Double Security» for 60 years now, assures maximum durability.
