Divided By Zero Gamma Series
After Alpha and Beta timepieces, young watch brand Divided By Zero (DBZ) presents their third collection Gamma, which is now live on Kickstarter.
This collection offers space-inspired watches with a luminous design. The main feature of the Gamma watches is the sandwich dial that has a layer filled with a Super-LumiNova pigment. This not only gives the watch an attractive afterglow but also extends the design itself, being an inseparable part of it both day and night.
The Gamma series consists of four models (Villard, Bruno, Hawking and Tyson), each dedicated to a famous scientist from different time periods who studied the mysteries of Space.
All watches in the Gamma series continue to follow standards raised by the previous collection, developing several features even more than before. Each watch has a black PVD-coating on steel parts, a new reworked case which weighs lighter than the predecessor, and it runs on Japanese-made Miyota 1S13 movement.
All timepieces from the Gamma series are equipped with black leather straps with a signature blue edging. All dials are decorated with the multi-layered Swiss Super-LumiNova® afterglow coating by the renowned Tritec company.
The case of the watch is shaped after a spaceship’s saucer. The case has an engineering touch also, bearing several hollow points to make it feel lighter and more comfortable. The back lid has a concentric concave shape to maintain the futuristic look and to add an ethereal feeling. Another accompanying feature is flexible lugs for the utmost comfort in wearing the watch.
The Swiss Super-LumiNova® afterglow completes the design of the dial, highlighting it in the dark. It’s achieved by creating several layers of the dial design, filling the lowest layer with a luminous material. The integral second hand also fits to the design concept.
The overall design palette is traditional to the Divided By Zero identity. The black color prevails in the strap, dial, and construction with inserts of the signature blue color, implemented both in watch and strap design.
Campaign status as on 24 December 2018: Successfully funded and achieved an amount of €39,985 with the support of 237 backers.
