LANG & HEYNE GEORG
Presented at Baselworld 2017, the newest creation from the German luxury watch atelier Lang & Heyne, comes dressed in an elegant square case made with gold or platinum. Like other horology creations from Lang & Heyne, this watch model is also named after a prominent ruler of Saxony – GEORG (1471-1539).
Thanks to curved shape of the case, the watch gently fits on the wrist. Measuring 40mm X 32mm X 9.4mm (Length, width and height), the watch case is fitted with sapphire crystal glass on top and bottom. Water resistance of the case is 3atm.
Its silky enamel dial boasts a large sub dial with a blue hand to count every precious second. At the centre of the dial blued minute and hour hands indicate the time.
Powering this timepiece is the Calibre VIII; an in-house developed mechanical hand wound movement that can deliver 55 hours of power reserve.
Measuring 34mm X 25.6mm X 4.8mm (length, width and height), this massive, completely visible movement shows its finely finished golden wheels, levers and springs.
Made of stainless steel, the avant-garde bridges and clocks domed top and the large polished stone countersink capture and reflect light in every viewing angle. Different forms and materials combined with the contrast of polished and matted surface give the movement depth and a fascinating geometry.
Equipped with 20 jewels -19 rubies and one diamond- and featuring seconds hand stop function this exclusive mechanical watch movement beats at the rate of 18,000 vph.
Securing the timepiece around the wrist is an alligator leather strap with shark leather line and pin buckle or folding clasp.
The retail price of the LANG & HEYNE GEORG watch (without VAT) is 26410 EUR for 18 carat rose gold model, 27830 EUR for 18 carat white gold model and 33490 EUR for 950 platinum version.
