HUBLOT King Power Unico Special Edition “Chengdu Super Car Club 19″
On April 2nd 2016, a luxury banquet was held at Johnnie Walker® House™ Beijing to celebrate the partnership between Hublot, Swiss luxury watchmaker, and the super race car club Highway 19 Club, roaring the symphony of super cars and luxury watches. For the first time, the brand partners with a super car club in China and launched the King Power Unico Special edition “Chengdu Super Car Club 19”, which brought the guests a prestigious lifestyle experience.
Hublot has always been intimately related with Ferrari, hoping to promote car culture in a more in-depth way in China. As the witness of speed, time has a close relationship with speed. This time, the cooperation between Hublot and Highway 19 Club is another global as well as ground-breaking attempt between two leading partners, starting a precedent instance for Hublot to cooperate with famous car club. Hublot has always been intimately related with Ferrari, hoping to promote car culture in a more in-depth way in China.
Highway 19 Club has been established in Chengdu for nearly 10 years and has become one of the top luxury car clubs in China. The title of the club was originated from 6 “S”s – Speed, Sport, Spirit, Share, Sage and Show. The letter “S” is the 19th in order of the 26 letters in English. Naturally, the club adopted 19 in its title. Highway 19 Club aims to call upon super car enthusiasts to share their common passion and work together to give back to the society.
King Power Unico Special edition “Chengdu Super Car Club 19” is inspired by race cars with matt black ceramic case and red indexed dial. The 48mm case sports a bezel that took inspiration from brake disc.
Highway 19 Club is clearly integrated in the dial and case back. The center index of 12 is replaced by the symbolic 19. And the small second display at 3 o’clock exquisitely resembles the speed display on a race car.
Housing Hublot’s in-house Unico movement, the King Power Unico Special edition “Chengdu SuperCar Club 19” boasts 72-hour power reserve and red or blue alligator leather strap with rubber. The watch is limited of 19 pieces.
