GAVOX WATCHES – Models with Technical Specifications, Price, Brand Details, History, News and Archives

Gavox Longitude GMT

Belgium based watch brand Gavox presents the Longitude, a “true” GMT watch with integrated bracelet made with 316L stainless steel Kolsterising®.

Measuring 39 mm in diameter, Gavox’ first automatic GMT watch is powered by the Miyota 9075 movement. It displays “true” GMT, which means that the 24h hand can be set on a reference timezone, while the 12h hand can be moved forwards or backwards when crossing timezones.

The embossed dial features an asymmetric pattern reminiscent of waves on the surface of the sea, and it is available in black, dark blue or turquoise.

True to Gavox’ track record in developing instrument watches for armed forces, the indices, hands and bezel dot are coated with Swiss Super-Luminova for optimal readability. Offering a third time-zone function, the bezel features 48 clicks to display half hours.

The case and bracelet feature an elaborate succession of faceted surfaces that are alternatively brushed or polished. All stainless steel parts are fortified with Kolsterising®, a surface hardening process that makes stainless steel more impervious to scratches and dents.

Available in four references, this collection will be produced in limited edition. The Gavox Longitude GMT watch comes with custom strap extensions that support any 20mm nato, zulu or leather straps.

The Gavox Longitude GMT watch is water-resistant to 20 bar (200 meters). The sapphire crystal glass with internal anti-reflection coating offers optimal readability.

Gavox Avidiver

Gavox presents it new model Avidiver. As the name suggests, this new automatic wristwatch carries some specific characteristics of both diver and aviator watches.

The watch does not feature a diving bezel over the case or inner bezel for second time-zone. But the watch can indicate the diving time as well as second time zone with the help of an innovative feature. On the first look, you can notice a unique and bright orange triangle at 12’o clock.

By positioning the triangle at various points across the dial, one can set a second time zone (such as with a Zulu bezel), or track their elapsed time (as with a typical dive bezel). The movement of the orange triangle can be controlled by operating the screw down crown at 2’o clock.

The Avidiver watch, which can withstand pressure up to 20 ATM (200 meters), comes in a forged surgical stainless steel case. Equipped with Miyota 9015 automatic movement, the watch displays basic time indications plus a date window at 4’o clock.

The watch dial offers perfect legibility during dark conditions of ocean depths thanks to its multi layer sand witch construction enhanced with thick superluminova paint, large hour markers & Arabic numerals and photo-luminescent hands.

This recreational diving watch, which can also be used as an aviator watch, comes loaded with high end specifications such as:  double domed sapphire glass, double ring screw down crown, see thru caseback and top grade PVD layer.

The Avidiver watch comes in Silver or Black PVD case colour versions. Dial colours available are Black, Blue and White.

Gavox Aurora

After 3 years of research and two major innovations, Belgian watch brand Gavox unveils the Aurora, a wrist watch for pilots and Travellers.

The Aurora is the world’s first multifunction quartz watch that handles all geographical and political time zones. It allows to keep track of a reference time and display a local time by increments of 15 minutes, in order to handle non-standard time zones with a difference of 15, 30 or 45 minutes. As much as 20% of the world’s population lives in non-standard time zones.

Designed based on the feedback of professional pilots, the watch also includes navigational features such as fly-back mission timer and countdown. Astronomical features include: perpetual calendar and moon phases.

The display borrow cues from aircraft instruments to allow a quick read of uncluttered information; and all functions are displayed in semi-circles, which prevents the hands from overlapping and hiding critical information. Forged in surgical stainless steel, the case can be immersed to a static depth of 100 meter and is fitted with a scratch resistant anti-glare crystal.
