CYRUS KLEPCYS DICE RACING

KLEPCYS DICE RACING is the latest evolution of CYRUS Genève’s revolutionary DICE (Double Independent Chronograph Evolution), which incorporates two separate chronographic movements assembled in a single case.

First introduced in 2021, CYRUS KLEPCYS DICE was the first wristwatch on the market to be equipped with two chronographs capable of functioning totally independently of each other, or in synchrony.

Following the success of the first edition of the KLEPCYS DICE, followed up with the KLEPCYS DICE LIME presented at this year’s Watches and Wonders in Geneva, CYRUS Genève is now introducing a new version of this famous chronograph. The KLEPCYS DICE RACING comes in two case variants, in a limited edition of just 15 pieces each.

Like its predecessors, KLEPCYS DICE RACING is inspired by sporting competitions, and especially by motor racing. This new model comes with an innovative material the Maison has never used before: carbon fiber. Its highly resistant nature, along with its characteristic lightness, thermal insulation and flame resistance, ensure carbon fiber is an appealing choice.

KLEPCYS DICE RACING still retains its iconic cushion-shaped case with a diameter of 42 mm, available in polished/brushed grade-5 titanium, or black DLC-coated titanium which, for this latest addition, has been teamed with an all-new black matt carbon fiber bezel. As the carbon fibre is first layered and then machined, the surface of each bezel will be different from the other, thus giving each piece of KLEPCYS DICE RACING its uniqueness.

Despite the double crown set at 3 and 9,another hallmark feature of CYRUS Genève, the case is waterproof to 10 ATM.

The open-worked dial features a pleasing three-dimensional architecture offering a generous view of the innovative DICE mechanism designed and crafted at the Cyrus Manufacture.

The red and electric blue detailing makes it easier to read off the chronographic functions. The column wheels, the hands of the chrono counter at 3, the central second hands, the minutes on the flange and the monopusher crowns for engaging the two separate chronographs can thus be seen at a glance. Both the chrono hands and the second hands are mirrored, with the latter resetting to 12 (red) and 6 (blue).

The small seconds counter is symmetrical to the minute chronograph counter, providing an aesthetically-pleasant, balanced effect; it is set at 9, with the original three-armed helix recalling the Maison’s logo and a luminescent tip. The small seconds counter and the 30-minute counter are both in anti-reflective smoked sapphire crystal, and surmounted by a bright red lacquered bridge that highlights them.

The open-worked rhodium-plated luminescent hands mark time on a shaped anti-reflective sapphire crystal ring with raised Arabic numerals. These numerals are also luminescent, and emit a blue glow. This transparency allows an unhindered view of the stunning movement powering this masterpiece of fine watchmaking.

KLEPCYS DICE RACING is equipped with the Manufacture’s CYR718 automatic calibre which beats at 28,800 vibrations/hour, offering a 60-hour power reserve when fully charged with just one barrel. Comprising no less than 443 parts, of which 218 for the double independent chronograph, it is housed in a case which is just 16.5 mm thick. The movement has two mainplates, treated with a black PDV and microbeaded finish, for the two chronograph modules.

But assembling this movement and its countless components in a small case was not the only challenge Jean-François Mojon had to tackle.

KLEPCYS DICE RACING features a double chronograph with two display axes; one for the chronograph seconds, and the other for the 30-minute counter. The chronographs are powered by two column wheels which in turn activate the levers and gears that move the seconds and 30-minute chronograph display.

Mojon and his technical team have devised a special insulating system to prevent shocks and dispersion of the energy generated when the chronograph levers are triggered, especially during the return-to-zero phase. This ensures the duration of the phenomenon is measured precisely, allowing the two chronographs to run independently without affecting one another.

An ingenious solution was also found for another challenge: an all-new concentric device has been devised for the motion work mechanism to read off the time. Not only is this mechanism more compact, but it is coaxial to the axes of the hands, freeing up as much space as possible for this chronograph complication.

The movement has been reversed to allow the chronograph mechanism to be visible on the dial side; this affords a fascinating view of the two column wheels that lie at the “heart” of this complication.

The sapphire crystal case-back allows the sunray-decorated bridges to be admired. The bridges alternate a polished/satin effect, and are coated with an anthracite-grey NAC finish which is also applied to the oscillating mass. The single-block rotor is open-worked and finished with a sunray design; the centre of the rotor, engraved with the motto “The Conquest of Innovation”, is embellished with the CYRUS helix in 18k 4N gold.

The KLEPCYS DICE RACING is presented with a bright red Cordura fabric strap and a titanium folding clasp to match the case, and is delivered with an additional strap in soft black rubber.

CYRUS KLEPCYS DICE LIME

CYRUS Genève presents Klepcys DICE Lime, a new interpretation of its Double Independent Monopusher Chronograph.

Introduced in 2021, DICE is an acronym for Double Independent Chronograph Evolution. It is equipped with a Double Independent Monopusher Chronograph movement, developed by CYRUS in its in-house Manufacture in Le Locle. This extraordinary timepiece was developed by Jean-François Mojon, one of the talented master watchmakers in the modern era.

Like its predecessor, the new Klepcys DICE Lime is equipped with two independent monopusher chronographs for measuring two short intervals of time independently or in synchrony, all housed in a single self-winding mechanical movement.

The hallmark feature of CYRUS Genève’s KLEPCYS timepieces is the iconic cushion-shaped case with elongated lugs on the case body, a three-dimensional bezel with rounded corners, and symmetrical twin crowns. Assembly of the case is a complex process involving no less than 26 polished and satin-finish parts.

The Klepcys DICE Lime comes in two versions, crafted from natural grade 5 titanium with a polished/satin finish, or a black DLC treatment. Just 10 pieces are available for each version. Given the amount of space occupied by the unusual calibre, with two mainplates and as many chronographic modules, the size is actually limited, with a diameter of 42 mm and a thickness of 16.5 mm.

The thinner bezel has been slightly adjusted to make more room for the dial and enhance legibility. Titanium is a hard-wearing, extremely lightweight material that makes this model, waterproof to 10 ATM, extremely comfortable to wear.

The 3D architecture of the open-worked display is an emblematic feature in all the Swiss Maison’s watches. It is a meditated approach, and designed to allow the chronograph mechanism to be seen in action from the dial side, from which the two column wheels are clearly visible.

The elapsed times recorded by the two chronographs can be read off at a glance, thanks to the two-colour scheme which CYRUS Genève has adopted in dazzling green and intense yellow. Both hues feature on the two hands of the chronograph counter at 3 o’clock, on the double-scale flange around the dial, on the column wheels and the respective crowns.

The chrono minute and second hands are specular. The first chronograph is picked out in green; the crown set at 3 o’clock starts, stops and resets it to 12 o’clock. The second chronograph is set with the pusher on the crown at 9 o’clock; it is highlighted in yellow, and resets to 6 o’clock.

The open-work luminescent hands are rhodium-plated. They indicate the time on a bevelled, anti-reflective sapphire crystal ring with raised Arabic numerals, also luminescent, which emit a blue glow. The transparency also ensures an unhindered view of the breath-taking movement that powers this model. The small seconds are placed at 9, with an original hand which recalls the Maison’s logo: a three-armed helix with a luminescent tip.

The look of the Klepcys DICE Lime has received an upgrade. The chrono counter and small seconds are both crafted in anti-reflective sapphire crystal with markers and profiles in green. The bridges above the respective counters are lacquer-finished in the same shade. The colour elements are all combined with skill, making for a dial which is aesthetically pleasing.

To round off the style of the new “Klepcys DICE Green”, CYRUS Genève has opted for a green Cordura fabric strap with a titanium folding clasp to match the case. The watch is delivered with an additional soft black rubber strap.

Once again, Jean-François Mojon has surprised enthusiasts with his latest creation: the CYR718 automatic calibre. The movement which powers the Klepcys DICE Lime features two identical chronograph mechanisms which are visible on the dial side, as the movement has been reversed. The symmetrical design offers a fascinating view of the two column wheels that are the “heart” of this complication.

The two mainplates of this innovative mechanism are finished with a black micro-beaded PVD treatment. The additional module for the two independent chronographs is made up of 218 components, all mounted on the two mainplates. With 443 components in total, the mechanism beats at 28,800 vibrations/hour, and the single barrel delivers a 60-hour power reserve.

Klepcys DICE Lime is equipped with two independent chronograph movements and two display axes: one corresponds to the chronograph seconds and the second to the 30-minute counter of the double chronograph. The chronographs are activated by two column wheels, which in turn activate the different levers and couplings that move the seconds and 30-minute chronograph display.

The activation of chronograph levers generates considerable shocks and dispersion of energy, especially during the return-to-zero phase when the hammer on the heart cam is activated. Thanks to a special system of insulation, which ensures precision measurements for the duration of the event, these shocks have no repercussions on the display of the functions. In short, the two chronographs function independently without exerting any influence on one another.

The motion work mechanism that carries the hours and minutes hands also required special attention. Conventionally, this mechanism is composed of several gears placed on different rotational axes. However, to free up as much space as possible for the dual chronograph complication, Mojon came up with a concentric mechanism for the motion work. Not only is the mechanism more compact, but it is coaxial to the axes of the hands.

Cyrus Genève “Klepcys Vertical Skeleton Tourbillon Sapphire” Limited Edition

To mark its 10th anniversary, Swiss luxury watch brand CYRUS Genève presents a special edition timepiece from its KLEPCYS collection.

Founded in 2010, CYRUS Genève turned 10 in 2020. To celebrate this important milestone, the Swiss Manufacture has created the KLEPCYS VERTICAL SKELETON TOURBILLON SAPPHIRE watch in a limited series of 10 pieces.

Designed by master-watchmaker Jean-François Mojon, the first edition of the Klepcys Vertical Tourbillon was released in 2018. It features an innovative manual winding movement with a vertical tourbillon cage. Placed in the middle of the dial for the first time, the tourbillon cage is set on a vertical axis at a 90° angle.

The unique 3-D open-worked dial further enhances the magnificence of this astonishing mechanism. The transparent sapphire crystal case of the anniversary edition allows a complete view of the movement from all angles.

Composed of a total of 29 parts (the sapphire crystal components are the case body with lugs, the bezel, the case back ring and the two sapphire glasses on the dial and on the back side) the style of the 44 mm case, excluding the functional 18k 4N rose gold twin-crowns, has been redesigned to hide a maximum of fasteners, screws and steel elements. Some recessed edges have been slightly rounded to make machining and polishing possible without compromising on design and the strong character of this watch.

The transparency of the case contributes to highlight the18K 4N gold arch, inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s self-supporting bridge, which symmetrically divides the hours and minutes indications. Due to this lay-out, the KLEPCYS VERTICAL SKELETON TOURBILLON SAPPHIRE shows the jumping retrograde hours on a left black micro-beaded arch with luminescent Arabic numerals while the sweeping retrograde minutes are read off on the right arch. Hour and minute hands are also covered with Super-LumiNova for better legibility in dark light conditions.

The seconds are visible on the tourbillon cage thanks to small numbered plates on a 5- second interval scale. Between the two arches of the tourbillon bridge, a black DLC microbillé sphere with a 5mm diameter, set at 12 o’clock, catches the eye. It displays the days of the power reserve (1-4). To achieve a balanced effect, the CYRUS logo is set at 6 o’clock.

This original 3D structure is protected by a tailor-made sapphire crystal glass which is domed and anti-reflective, with a thickness of 1.2 mm.

Thanks to its transparent nature and exclusive open-worked dial, all the features of the in-house manufacture hand-wound movement, calibre CYR625, beating at 21.600 vph and offering over 100-hour power reserve, can be admired in full.

This extra-ordinary mechanical movement can also be seen from the case back. This reveals the masterful finish executed by the highly skilled master artisans at CYRUS Genève. The grey-colored bridges, thanks to the NAC galvanic treatment, are decorated with embossed sunray pattern and have a micro-beaded satin finish that contrasts with the polished finish of the edges.

The two parallel barrels have black lacquered ratchet-wheels adorned with CYRUS’s signature propeller-like logo. The sapphire crystal ring which secures the case back with customized screws, is engraved with the inscription “10 years CYRUS – Est. 2010”.

This new timepiece is completed with a white rubber strap featuring a new embossed prism pattern and is fitted with a 18K 4N gold folding buckle embellished with the CYRUS logo.

Independent Swiss watch brand CYRUS Geneva presents KLEPCYS DICE, a new entrant into the Klepcys collection. DICE stands for Double Independent Chronograph Evolution.

A technically advanced progression of the traditional chronograph, DICE houses a singer-pusher double independent chronograph mechanism driven by a self-winding movement developed by master watchmaker, Jean-François Mojon.

The origins for double independent chronograph date back to 1873, when watchmaker Arnold Frankfeld registered the development of his ‘Double-Stop Movements’ at the New York patent office.

CYRUS KLEPCYS DICE is capable of measuring two short intervals independently. Its Double Independent Chronograph function is not similar as rattrapante (split-seconds chronograph), where the two hands track the time of two events that start simultaneously but end at different times or indicate an intermediate elapsed time.

With a diameter of 42 mm and a thickness of 16.5 mm, the distinctive 26-part cushion-shaped case is water-resistant to 10 ATM/100 m. Available in polished grade 5 titanium or black DLC grade 5 titanium, the case features alternating polished, satin-brushed and sandblasted surfaces. The case back is secured with customised screws with the Maison’s three-armed helix logo.

The twin crowns are equipped with a pusher that sets the three chronograph functions (start/stop/reset). Both are fully functional and embellished with the brand’s helix logo and distinguished by either a red or blue anodised aluminium ring to select which chronograph is going to be activated. The hallmark rubber ring to ensure a better grip of the crown when winding or setting the time is also featured on the KLEPCYS DICE.

Thanks to the open-worked architecture, the prestigious mechanics that powers KLEPCYS DICE command centre stage on the dial.

The two column wheels are highlighted on the dial. Picked out in bright red and electric blue lacquer, they are placed at 12 and 6 o’clock, respectively. The unusual arrangement of the chronograph mechanism on the dial side reveals the motion of the finely decorated wheels, levers and gears mounted on a double mainplate with a black microbeaded PVD treatment.

A host of sapphire crystal elements on the dial offer an unhindered view of this extraordinary calibre. The large sapphire crystal ring corresponding to the time is anti-reflective and features Arabic numerals in relief with white Super-LumiNova that emits a blue glow. The sapphire ring, with its bevelled and polished profile, is cut to make room for the chronograph counter, the small seconds and the two column wheels.

The dimensions of the small seconds at 9 o’clock and the counter corresponding to the two independent chronographs at 3 o’clock are generous to enhance legibility.

Both counters are crafted in smoked sapphire crystal and fixed to a bridge carved in the shape of Cyrus’s logo. The rhodium-plated microbeaded helix is decorated with circular satin finish and doubles up as an original seconds hand with a luminescent tip.

The 30-minute chronograph counter at 3 o’clock – the star function of KLEPCYS DICE – is equipped with two vertically aligned hands in red and blue. Thanks to the bold colours, reading the two elapsed times is instantaneous.

The independent hands track a graduated scale with markers at 15 and 30 minutes in alternating red and blue. The same red and blue colour scheme is used for the two central seconds hands, each measuring a different length. The reason that the hands differ in length is because they track the seconds on a slightly convex flange printed with two parallel scales graduated every 5 seconds and picked out in red and blue.

Mirroring the motion of the hands on the 30-minute counter, the longer red central seconds hand measures time on the outermost scale and returns to zero at 12 o’clock; the shorter blue hand tracks the innermost blue scale and returns to zero at 6 o’clock.

Jean-François Mojon is the mastermind behind the new 443-component CYR718 self-winding manufacture calibre powering KLEPCYS DICE.

KLEPCYS DICE is equipped with two independent chronograph movements and two display axes: one corresponds to the chronograph seconds and the second to the 30-minute counter of the double chronograph. The chronographs are activated by two column wheels, which in turn activate the different levers and couplings that move the seconds and 30-minute chronograph display.

Two main-plates were required for this innovative mechanism. Treated with black microbeaded PVD, the 218 components of the additional module corresponding to the two independent chronographs are mounted on the this two mainplates.

Automatic calibre CYR718 beats at 28,800 vibrations/hour and is equipped with a single barrel offering 60 hours of autonomy at full charge. Furthermore, the balance wheel is protected by an Incabloc shock protection system.

The meticulous attention to detail on the dial of the KLEPCYS DICE extends to the reverse side of the case. Thanks to a sapphire glass case back, the decorative flourishes on the NAC-treated bridges can be admired.

Decorated with an embossed sunray pattern, the bridges display satin-brushed and polished surfaces. The design of the open-worked monobloc rotor is new and features a galvanic grey NAC coating and a sunray finish. The rotor is engraved with the motto “The Conquest of Innovation” and adorned with an 18k 4N gold helix.

KLEPCYS DICE is presented with a grey Cordura fabric strap with a titanium folding clasp to match the case material and is delivered with an additional black rubber strap.

To support the Only Watch 2021 Charity Auction, Independent Swiss luxury watch brand CYRUS GENEVA has created the unique piece “KLEPCYS DICE ONLY WATCH”, a brand-new model featuring a double independent monopusher chronograph.

The term DICE is the acronym of Double Independent Chronograph Evolution. As its name indicates, it is an evolution of the traditional chronograph. The brand’s master watchmaker, Jean-François Mojon, has transformed it into a double chronograph capable of measuring two short intervals of time independently or in synchrony.

However, it should not be confused with the rattrapante version, where the two hands track the time of two events that start simultaneously but end at different times or indicate an intermediate elapsed time.

The unique piece KLEPCYS DICE ONLY WATCH comes in a 42 mm cushion-shaped case made of polished/satin-brushed grade 5 titanium and is water-resistant to 10 ATM/100 m.

The twin crowns, a peculiar code of CYRUS, are equipped with a pusher that sets the three chronograph functions (start/stop/reset). Both are fully functional, embellished with the brand’s helix logo, and distinguished by either an orange or yellow anodised aluminium ring to select which chronograph is going to be activated.

Yellow and orange are the colors that become the protagonists of the aesthetics of the KLEPCYS DICE ONLY WATCH, designed as a tribute to the logo that distinguishes this respected event.

The open-worked architecture allows the view of the prestigious mechanics that powers KLEPCYS DICE ONLY WATCH and highlights the two column wheels on the dial. Picked out in orange and yellow lacquer, they are placed at 12 and 6 o’clock, respectively. The unusual arrangement of the chronograph mechanism on the dial side reveals the motion of the finely decorated wheels, levers and gears mounted on a double mainplate with a black micro-beaded PVD treatment.

A host of sapphire crystal elements on the dial offer an unhindered view of this extraordinary calibre. The large sapphire crystal ring with bevelled and polished profile corresponding to the time is anti-reflective and features Arabic numerals in relief with white Super-LumiNova that emits a blue glow.

The dimensions of the small seconds at 9 o’clock and the 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock are generous to enhance legibility and surmounted by two orange lacquered bridges. The motion work mechanism that allows the display of hours and minutes also required special attention. Conventionally, this mechanism is composed of several gears placed on different rotational axes. However, to free up as much space as possible for the dual chronograph complication, Mojon came up with a concentric mechanism for the motion work. Not only is the mechanism more compact, but it is coaxial to the axes of the hands.

Two mainplates were required for this innovative mechanism. Treated with black microbeaded PVD, the 218 components of the additional module corresponding to the two independent chronographs are mounted on the two mainplates.

It is worth noting that since the chronograph mechanism is visible on the dial side, the movement has been reversed. Its symmetrical design offers a fascinating view of the two column wheels that are the “heart” of this complication. Automatic manufacture calibre CYR718 beats at 28,800 vibrations/hour and is equipped with a single barrel offering 60 hours of autonomy at full charge. Cyrus Geneva Announces Acclaimed Formula E Motor Racing Driver Maximilian Günther as Exclusive Friend and Ambassador

Swiss luxury watch brand CYRUS GENEVA has appointed acclaimed German motor racing driver Maximilian Günther, as friend and exclusive ambassador of the brand.

Maximilian’s passion for motor racing dates back to his childhood in 2005. In his first years of racing, he won multiple karting championships such as the ADAC Kart Masters in 2010.

In 2011, Maximilian Günther became vice champion in Formula BMW and scores numerous victories and podium finishes in the ADAC Formel Masters which resulted in two runner-up finishes in the Championship.

The star of this subdial, which is adorned with the typical raised triangle embellishment and black PVD treatment, is the blue three-armed helix, the Cyrus logo; it has been given a luminescent finish, allowing the seconds to be read off. The end result is an exquisite dial which is harmonious in its many details. The indications are intuitive and can be read off with ease.

During the design phase, CYRUS opted to set local time as the main time; it is displayed with the newly-designed, open-worked rhodium-plated hands.

The local time and home time can be set with the two crowns. In the first position, the crown at 3h is used to wind the movement. In the second position, it adjusts the hour and minute hands of local time. These rotate at the same time as the blue central retrograde hand with a luminescent triangular tip to indicate the home time. Subsequently, by pressing the push button of the crown set at 9h, the local time hand jumps by one hour each time it is pressed until it displays the desired local time. During adjustment, indications of the minutes and the home time remain unchanged.

KLEPCYS GMT RETROGRADE is driven by the powerful and customised CYR708 in-house automatic movement developed by Jean-François Mojon. Designed to be robust and reliable, this precise mechanical calibre is set apart by a design that lives up to the brand’s philosophy. Its annular balance wheel beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour, achieving a power reserve of 55 hours.

The sapphire crystal case back also makes it possible to admire the meticulous work of the skilled craftsmen, who decorate the anthracite grey NAC bridges with slightly curved sunrays in a satin and microbillé finish. The single-block oscillating mass is open-worked with a style which recalls the design on the plate as seen from the dial.

KLEPCYS GMTRETROGRADE comes complete with a customised black caoutchouc rubber strap with a central groove bearing the Cyrus symbol. It fastens with a folding customised clasp in titanium.

Cyrus Watches is joining with the 8th edition of the biannual charity auction of unique timepieces ONLY WATCH to support the research on Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

The charity auction, under the patronage of HSH the Prince of Monaco and at the initiative of Luc Pettavino, President of the Association Monégasque contre les Myophaties, will take place on November 9th 2019 – under the hammer of Christie’s – at the Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues in Geneva.

CYRUS –high-end niche brand with its own independent Manufacture in Le Locle (Switzerland), known for the creation of timepieces with original, avant-garde architectures and movements – is participating the charity event with a model featuring the “alarm complication”.

This fascinating and useful complication – rarely found on a wristwatch – is the “soul” of the unique piece “KLEPCYS ALARM” which showcases an eye-catching green olive dial, expressly made for ONLY WATCH.

The creator of the Cyrus KLEPCYS ALARM, a superlatively manufactured watch with an unusual interpretation of the alarm function that incorporates the typical chime of the minute repeater, is Jean-François Mojon, one of today’s most talented master watchmakers and technical manager of Chronode, the in-house Manufacture of the Cyrus Watches Group.

The common element of this exclusive watch, with a modern, bold style that immediately identifies it with the Cyrus brand, is its iconic multi-layer, cushion-shaped steel case with black DLC coating and its double crown (46 mm in diameter without crowns), extremely comfortable on the wrist thanks to its ergonomic construction.

Two crowns have now become a distinctive feature of Cyrus. Usually, both are functional in all the models of the various collections. The KLEPCYS ALARM is an exception to the rule, as only the crown placed at 3 o’clock – highlighted with a green olive rubber ring – is operational, while the one at 9 o’clock is purely aesthetic.

The bezel frames a large, round, three-dimensional green olive dial with the typical decoration of engraved triangular motifs which is rich in indicators and has many details that make it truly unique.

The hour, minute and second hands are slightly off-centre to the left and show the time on an upper arch, with a decoration that recalls vinyl records, and diamond cut applied Arabic numerals, filled with SuperLuminova, mixed with indices. Between 10 and 12 o’clock is a display with a rotating olive green/black disc and customised screws bearing the Cyrus logo that provides the day/night indication of the main time.

The KLEPCYS ALARM also has a secondary dial, between 3 and 6 o’clock for setting the alarm function. Surrounded by two concentric rings, one white with even Arabic numerals on a 24 hour scale and an outer black one indicating the minutes on a scale of 15, it has a central two-tone olive green/black part subdivided by a red line to distinguish the day-time numbers from the night-time ones.

Between 5 and 9 o’clock, the space on the dial is dominated by a large symmetrical opening that makes it possible to see a section of the movement and attracts attention to the alarm hammer. Its particular design recalls the shape of a bell, exhibits a brushed surface and bevelled, polished corners, and is embellished with the CYRUS logo. It strikes various chimes producing harmonious, easily heard notes for a maximum time of 16 seconds.

Setting the alarm is simple and intuitive. Just pull out the crown in first position to rotate the pointers, in either direction, and select the chosen hour on the 24 hour scale, also setting the minutes at intervals of 5. To know if the alarm is active, just check if the small hand with a luminescent triangular tip at 7 o’clock is positioned to ON or OFF, shown in green and red. Simply pressing on the crown at 3 o’clock turns this feature on or off.

The beating heart of the KLEPCYS ALARM is its in-house manufactured hand-winding CYR1280 calibre which ensures a power reserve of 72 hours. The case back is engraved “ONLY WATCH” and its anti-reflective sapphire crystal allows to admire the elegant architecture of the movement. It displays two parallel barrels with the ratchet-wheel embellished with black lacquer and the helix, Cyrus’s symbol. The exclusive winding system, conceived by Jean-François Mojon in collaboration with his team, allows the barrel placed close to the balance wheel to power the main time and the second to provide the energy to the sub-dial that activates the alarm.

In keeping with the tradition of watchmaking art, no detail is overlooked, and also the bridges of the movement are finely finished and decorated with an engraved, curved sunray pattern, brushed and polished, on which the jewels and the mirror-polished screws stand out.

The KLEPCYS ALARM ONLY WATCH is a unique piece completed by a customised black rubber strap with a central groove bearing the Cyrus symbol and a folding clasp that has a mechanism for a simple and quick size setting.

After the launch of the “Klepcys Vertical Tourbillon” in 2018, the first model to feature a tourbillon complication in its range, the young and dynamic independent CYRUS Manufacture, based in Le Locle, is expanding its collection.

At Baselworld 2019, CYRUS unveiled a new version of its innovative timepiece designed for enthusiasts of high-end exclusive mechanics: the KLEPCYS VERTICAL SKELETON TOURBILLON.

Jean-François Mojon, the Manufacture’s technical director and inspirational master watchmaker, is the mastermind behind CYRUS creations. With this new timepiece, he has set out to renew the magic of the Klepcys Vertical Tourbillon, creating an interpretation that showcases the outstandingly innovative mechanism driving the watch.

The tourbillon cage, placed in the middle of the dial for the first time, is set on a vertical axis at a 90° angle. Painstaking studies by the technical team at CYRUS revealed that this angle ensures the tourbillon cage is almost always in vertical position when on the wrist, thereby optimising its performance in precision.

Spectacular and refined, the new KLEPCYS VERTICAL SKELETON TOURBILLON allows fine watchmaking enthusiasts to dive right into the heart of the movement and enjoy the “dance” performed by its parts while reading off the retrograde time. Each element of the mechanism is finely finished and decorated, transforming it into an animated piece of exquisite craftsmanship.

All the visible elements on the “face” of the KLEPCYS VERTICAL SKELETON TOURBILLON are positioned in such a way that ensure the design is perfectly symmetrical, and are set out in a three-dimensional architecture which adds further depth.

The arched vertical bridge, inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s bridge, decorated using the
“microbillage” technique features bevelled, polished edges and frames the tourbillon cage which performs one full rotation in one minute. It harmoniously divides the dial into two equal parts, making it easier to read off the retrograde hours and minutes. This original 3D structure is protected by a tailor-made sapphire crystal glass which is domed and antireflective, with a thickness of 1.2 mm.

To the right, a DLC black arch decorated with microbillage shows a scale running from 0 to 60 at 5-second intervals. It is embellished with a 4N gold or silver-finish edge, depending on the versions, and indicates the sweeping retrograde minutes with an exclusively sculpted hand. The left-hand arch in white Arabic numerals, which features the same finish as the minutes, marks the retrograde jumping hours. The seconds can be read off the tourbillon cage thanks to small numbered blocks, with the 60 seconds highlighted in red.

Between the two arches of the tourbillon bridge, a black DLC microbillé sphere with a 5mm diameter, set at 12 o’clock, catches the eye. It displays the days of the watch’s power reserve (1-4). To achieve a balanced effect, the CYRUS logo is set at 6 o’clock.

On observing the dial more closely, we can make out the star of the show : the tourbillon, which is almost as if it is gracefully twirling on a stage, interacting with a choreography of wheels, gears and hands that sinuously move in unison.

The upper part of the skeleton dial reveals two rhodium-plated barrels, decorated with the typical engraved triangular motifs we recognize in many CYRUS models. The bridges are microbillé with a dark grey NAC galvanic treatment, and the edges are bevelled and polished. The levers of the retrograde system are satin-polished and rhodium plated. The wheels are rhodium-plated and decorated with cerclage, the cams are mirror-polished. The jewels give a touch of colour to the finished item.

Every component of the hand-winding manufacture movement, calibre CYR625, with a double barrel offering more than a 100-hour power reserve, has been painstakingly decorated to give the KLEPCYS VERTICAL SKELETON TOURBILLON a sophisticated allure.

The “beating heart” of the KLEPCYS VERTICAL SKELETON TOURBILLON can also be seen from the case back. This reveals the masterful finish executed by the highly skilled master artisans at CYRUS.

The grey-colored bridges, thanks to the NAC galvanic treatment, are decorated with a slightly curve sunray pattern and have a microbillé satin finish that contrasts with the polished finish of the edges.

The two parallel barrels have black lacquered ratchet-wheels adorned with CYRUS’s signature propeller-like logo, whilst the screw heads are mirror-polished.

All this beauty is enclosed in a cushion-shaped case which has become a defining code of the Maison. It has a diameter of 44 mm, excluding the two crowns set at 3 and 9, another distinctive feature of CYRUS watches. Respectively, the first sets the time and winds the movement, whilst pressing the second, rapidly corrects the hour.

THE KLEPCYS VERTICAL SKELETON TOURBILLON is a limited edition manufactured in three versions. Five pieces of each are available: in grade 5 titanium with black DLC treatment, in 4N rose gold and a two-tone version in 4N rose gold with black DLC titanium bezel.

The watch is completed with a black alligator leather strap with a folding DLC titanium clasp for the titanium and two-tone versions. The model in 4N rose gold features a brown alligator leather strap, with a gold buckle.

At Basel-world 2018, Swiss luxury watch brand Cyrus unveiled a new watch model, the Klepcys Vertical Tourbillon, from their popular Klepcys watch family. In total 3 versions of this watch are available: GOLD, DLC and GOLD & DLC.

The Klepcys Vertical Tourbillon is equipped with a manual wound movement bearing 53 jewels and beats at 3Hz. Viewing from the front, the major highlight of the watch is a vertical tourbillon complication suspended beneath a curved bridge that stands above the centre part of the multi-layer dial.

The watch dial boasts two retrograde displays: Running minutes on the right and jumping hours on the left. Power reserve is displayed at 12 o’clock with a sphere.

Measuring 44mm diameter, the watch case incorporates a time adjustment / winding crown at 3ó clock and an hour increment pusher at 9ó clock.

Cyrus Klepcys Skeleton Chronograph

CYRUS presents Klepcys Skeleton Chronograph, an unconventional chronograph watch that embodies the Geneva Maison’s DNA.

It has a distinct dial layout with an off-entered subdial for hour and minutes at 3 o’clock, center sweeping second hand, chronograph 30-minute, and 12-hour counters on the vertical axis of the dial (12h and 6h), and small seconds and date display at 9 o’ clock.

Just like the other watches from the collection, Klepcys Chronograph has two crowns. Both of them are integrated with chronograph push-buttons. Pressure on the pusher in the crown at 3 o’clock activates the start/stop while the reset is possible through the pusher at 9 o’clock.

The crown at is 3 o’ clock can be used for winding the movement and setting the time and date. The cushion-shaped case houses calibre CYR314, a self-winding chronograph with 48-hour power reserve.

Dress in a 46mm diameter black DLC stainless steel case, the Klepcys Skeleton Chronograph is available in three dial variants: Dark & Blue, Dark & Red and Darkness. Fitted with a black caoutchouc strap, each version is limited to 50 pieces.

CYRUS KLEPCYS SOLO TEMPO

Introduced in 2016, CYRUS KLEPCYS SOLO TEMPO is a 3-hands timepiece for watch enthusiasts who don’t care about complications but are in search of a simple time instrument to read the time that can complement a casual look as well as a more elegant suit with a distinctive style.

At first glance, one of the immediately recognizable features of KLEPCYS SOLO TEMPO is the cushion-shaped case which incorporates symmetrically opposed crowns at 3 and 9 o’clock, a long key feature of the Maison.

The two crowns, usually both functional in Cyrus timepieces, are an exception here. The one on the right-hand side of the case winds the movement and sets the time while the second one on the left-hand side is not operational and serves to keep the symmetry of its aesthetics.

The case, composed of 26 elements, exquisitely crafted in brushed/polished steel, gold, bicolor with black DLC elements, or in a “total black” look, despite the generous diameter of 46 mm , fits conformably the wrist thanks to the ergonomic shape of the case back and lugs.

Underneath a slightly domed sapphire crystal is the skeletonised dial which allows to perceive some components of the self-winding movement, calibre CYR1015, beating at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) and offering 42 hours of power reserve.

The dial of KLEPCYS SOLO TEMPO boasts an exquisitely designed architecture in three-dimensions, another distinguishing code of the brand, which provides depth and originality. It is enriched with several details which make it unique.

This display features a black lacquered open-worked framework whose central part lays on a smoked transparent disc. The visible ruby of the shock protection system endows the whole with a vibrant touch of colour.

The grained hour ring presents applied trimmed silver or golden indices, matching case executions, and are filled with luminescent SuperLuminova as well as the frosted hands, for optimal legibility also at night-time. The thin seconds hand has a red tip recalling the red&white minutes scale on the flange with Arabic numerals at 5-minute intervals.

Produced in a limited series of 100 pieces in full steel, steel and black DLC, all black DLC steel and in 50 pieces in the 18K 5N rose gold and black DLC version, the KLEPCYS SOLO TEMPO comes with a customized black caoutchouc rubber strap with a central groove bearing the helix, the CYRUS symbol, closed with a folding buckle.

The design of a new case inspired by the original Klepcys has been reworked with regard to both proportions and slimness. Balance is the very core of the Cyrus Klepcys Réveil watch. The various materials and finishes ensure smoothness from every point of view.

The most conventional display for any chronograph features the hours/minutes in the centre and counters located at 3, 6 and/or 9 o’clock. Cyrus now once again opts for originality as it destructures the dial by offsetting the hours and minutes to 3o’clock.

Meanwhile, the chronograph counters are placed on either side of the 3 o’clock subdial, forming a ‘time analysis lab’ spread from 12 to 6 o’clock. At 9 o’clock, the date providing an open one-quarter view the disc serves to emphasize Cyrus’ identity with its clean-cut shapes tapering towards the hour and minute counters.

The brand has added additional improvements by shifting the start/stop and reset functions to the crowns. This means users no longer need to move their fingers from one push piece to the other, thus ensuring significantly increased measurement accuracy.

Developed in collaboration with Jean-François Mojon, the Cyrus KLEPCYS is a very exclusive timepiece with patented and very innovative functions.

This timepiece has 3 dimensional functions that have never been developed before, in addition to a shape that perfectly suits to the wrist. It is equipped with a manufacture automatic movement and offers a unique display of the time on a movable axis, with a retrograde hour function, day/night indication, large date calendar with retrograde rotating three-dimensional tens, and spherical moon with moon phase indication by gradual rise of a patch.

In 2013, Cyrus launched a diamond set version: the KLEPCYS CONQUEST.

Cyrus Klepcys Moon Blue W Motors 2013 Limited Edition

Produced in a limited edition of 7 numbered pieces, the Klepcys Moon Blue version joined the Cyrus Klepcys collection in 2013. This special edition was born out of the partnership between Cyrus watches and W Motors, the manufacture of ultra luxurious supercars.

W Motors is a sports car company based in Dubai. Co-founded by Lebanese automotive designer Ralph R. Debbas in partnership with a number of European investors, W Motors is the first developer of high-performance luxury sports cars in the Middle East.

Unveiled to the public at the Qatar Motor Show in February 2013, Lykan Hypersport is the first hyper car manufactured by W Motors. Costing a whopping 3.4 millions USD each, this hyper car will be produced in a limited edition of 7 only. Each Lykan Hypersport will be delivered together with a customized CYRUS KLEPCYS timepiece with blue moon.

This timepiece features a black DLC-coated titanium case that has a diameter of 48mm (including the crowns). It is adorned with a bezel in brushed black DLC-coated titanium. The slanting lugs and lug flanks in polished 18K white gold ensure comfortable wear. The visible screws in blue remind one of the three-part Cyrus brand logo. The retrograde hand moves along the 180° axis and changes colour (while rotating across the 180 degrees) depending on the time of day (day or night).

Regardless of the hand’s position, minutes and seconds discs are always aligned and accurate during the linear reading of time. This patented alignment is based on a one-of-a-kind mechanism which controls the speed of the (retrograde and rotating) hours, minutes, and seconds wheels.

As far as the date display is concerned the units digits (from 0 to 9) rest one on top of the other, while the tens digits change before the units digits. Once the tens digit reaches the figure 9, the figure moves in retrograde manner and rotates by 90 degrees. It simultaneously makes the away for the space for the next tens digit which is placed before the units digit 0.

Finally, the tribute to the famous Tower of Babel, “which towered to the heavens”, takes the form of a full moon with realistic crater images which links the watch to the sky. The lunar phases are represented by a black patch which gradually covers the full moon. When the moon is fully covered, the three section Cyrus brand logo becomes visible. Time eventually conquers the waning moon.

Jean-François Mojon’s finger print in 5N gold is placed the centre of case back. The caseback also features Cyrus Logo, model and limited edition number, “PROUDLY MADE FOR DEMANDING PEOPLE” and “BABYLON A CITY -STATE WITH A UNIQUE ARCHITECTURE AND GATHERING ALL THE TECHNICAL AND INTELLECTUAL KNOW HOW OF ITS TIME”.

The blue Cyrus screws and hand stitched alligator leather strap blue stitches add further elegance to this timepiece.

When the W Motors (W for Wolf) was launched on the HYPER CAR market in 2013 and was looking for a partnership with a watchmaker, CYRUS was the immediate choice.

W Motors brings together the finest engineers (Magna Steyr Torn) the most experienced designers (Studio Torino) and combine their skills in one of the most ambitious even crazy projects in the eyes of some observers.

The first W Motors Hypersport is Lykan, referring to the werewolf, this half human, half wolf animal with exceptional strength. A close inspection of the Hypersport reveals that the two ends of the bonnet extend along the sides of the windshield, like the two ears of a wolf, a unique feature in the automotive field.

Seen from the front the Hypersport resembles a wild wolf ready to transform itself into a werewolf, powerful and elegant, once the engine starts. Given that the werewolf only reveals itself at full moon, W Motors chose to associate itself with the CYRUS watch brand whose KLEPCYS collection was one of the first in the world to place a three dimensional moon on its dial.

W Motors has been for some time seeking out the ideal partner whose product would be linked in its totality with the history and the concept of this brand. Because CYRUS was created with reference to CYRUS the GREAT, conquest typifies this brand, a conquering spirit that is felt with one single even furtive look at the Hypersport.

This is an interesting element for it suggests that independent brands have the capacity to coexist each reinforcing its legitimacy while sharing a common vision. This is synergy at its best, each independent brand having its own network of customers and journalists allowing the partner brand to benefit from the relationship. It is the right mix of skills.

As is the case with handmade watches, Lykan Hyper cars, 7 of which were produced for the first model, have handmade bodies, made in Italy from layered carbon fibre. The heart of the werewolf works off German technology (highly recognized worldwide for its technical ability) with an engine which is completely handmade, assembled piece by piece in Germany.

W Motors is offering stunning performances on its Hypersport model. With a twin turbo flat six-cylinder engine producing 750 HP, the werewolf goes from 0 to 100 km/hour in less than 2.8 seconds and can reach a maximum speed of 385 km/hour and 980 nm of torque which makes this animal one of the fastest and most powerful in the world.

This vehicle is of course entirely customizable. The customer can choose from a variety of precious stones to be added both to the interior and the exterior of the car: diamonds, rubies, sapphires, emeralds. The finest materials such as gold or platinum are recommended for use in the interior of the vehicles, especially on the control buttons in order to heighten its luxurious and lavish aspect. A concierge service linked to the car is available to the customers 24 hours a day.

The Lykan Hypersport is the most technologically advanced Hypercar in its class. It is the first car in the world with a fully functional holographic display with interactive movement. A 9-inch screen is projected in the interior, allowing drivers and passengers constant interaction and complete control of the multimedia interface of the car.

Interactive functions allow you to select functions by moving your hand in the air, using your finger as a pointer. A passive projection screen thus becomes a large interactive touch screen whose potential uses are wide ranging. The user can interact directly with the hologram by touching it.

Swiss luxury watch brand CYRUS dedicates the very first timepiece of their latest KAMBYS to the prestigious ONLY WATCH 2013 Charity Auction.

In a market dominated by automatic watches, CYRUS has dared to launch a timepiece with manual double barrel winding and a seven-day power reserve. The movement (290 components, 50 rubies) is a 100% in-house manufacture movement, created under the aegis of renowned, award-winning Swiss watchmaker Jean-François Mojon.

The design of this timepiece was developed in perfect synergy with the brand’s identity, which places great emphasis on attention to detail. Recognizable as a CYRUS from first glance, it has a sleek design, where each element has been carefully weighed up and designed by the in-house team. The patented design perfectly moulds the shape of the wrist.

This collection is the fruit of the partnership between CYRUS founders, Julien and Laurent LECAMP. The selection of functions, the manual movement, the design features and the unusual bracelet were all created and developed within the family, with the utmost respect for the CYRUS philosophy.

The distinctive mark of the two cousins can be found discreetly inscribed on the back of the calibre. Four digits, 7778 are etched, recalling the cousins’ two birth dates. Highlighting the classic character of this new timepiece, CYRUS offers elegant functions (hours, minutes, seconds, power reserve) and a unique, secret animation, all brought to life by a spectacular movement which is fully visible through the transparent sapphire crystal case.

At first glance it catches your eye, the power reserve (between 2 and 4 o’clock) will captivate you with its three barrels sliding progressively along a vertical axis as the seven days unfold…Each barrel has a power reserve of two days, apart from the final barrel (three days). The red colour of the final barrel and the upper dial reminds you of the colour of the Principality of Monaco.

The seconds function is truly original and technically advanced, with its three angled hands (red colour), each of which counts 20 seconds before passing the baton to the next hand.

Then there is the secret animation (between 9 and 12 o’clock), which is activated by simply pressing the crown at 9 o’clock. The text ‘pièce unique’ then appears. Press it again, and ‘the flagship of Monaco’ appears to replace the previous inscription. Press one last time and…the CYRUS logo will appear.

The design of the bracelet has also been carefully thought out. A perfect continuation of the curve of the timepiece, the bracelet also has at its centre an opening, at the heart of which there are three barrels in a mechanism which recalls the ‘abacus’ design of the power reserve.

The Klepcys Mars Collection by CYRUS is very exclusive timepiece with a strong identity and innovative ways of displaying time, date and the MARS complication.

This watch pays tribute to two important milestones in the history of Human civilisation. First was the conquest of Cyrus. In 539 BC Babylon the Great falls at the feet of Cyrus. Upon crossing the legendary city walls and after seeing the Ziggurat (a 91- metre high tower in the heart of Babylon, which back then was considered as the gateway between Heaven and Earth), Cyrus pointed his finger towards the MARS and expressed his desire to conquer the red planet.

The second milestone was NASA’s first ever encounter with MARS planet. In July 1976, Some 2,500 years later, the Viking 1 probe by NASA was sent around the red planet to take a series of pictures in order to find a good landing site for Viking 2.

To celebrate these landmarks in the history, in March 2012, Julien and Laurent Lecamp (the 2 double cousins, founders of the CYRUS brand), in collaboration with the famous watchmaker Jean-François Mojon, captured the face of Mars and decided to produce two limited editions of 33 timepieces. The Red Planet inside these CYRUS watches rotates at the same speed as it does in the universe that is every 24 hours, 37 minutes and 22 seconds.

An imposing case with a diameter of 48mm (including the crowns) boasts four walls in the shape of horns with high quality finish, and encompasses the main watch mechanism. The slanting lugs for a black crocodile leather strap fit the wrist perfectly.

The visible screws remind one of the three-part Cyrus brand logo. The retrograde hand moves along the 180°axis and changes colour (while rotating across the 180 degrees) depending on the time of day (day or night). Regardless of the hand’s position, minutes and seconds discs are always aligned and accurate during the linear reading of time.

This patented alignment is based on a one-of-a-kind mechanism which controls the speed of the (retrograde and rotating) hours, minutes, and seconds wheels. As far as the date display is concerned the units digits (from 0 to 9) rest one on top of the other, while the tens digits change before the units digits.

Once the tens digit reaches the figure 9, the figure moves in retrograde manner and rotates by 90 degrees. It simultaneously makes the away for the space for the next tens digit which is placed before the units digit 0. Finally, the tribute to the famous Tower of Babel, “which towered to the heavens”, takes the form of a full moon with realistic crater images which links the watch to the sky.

The lunar phases are represented by a black patch which gradually covers the full moon. When the moon is fully covered, the three section Cyrus brand logo becomes visible. Time eventually conquers the waning moon.

On 22 May 2012, a traditional charity football match took place at the Louis II Stadium in Monaco. The Star Team for the Children, led by HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco, played against the team of F1 Pilots with Michael Schumacher as team captain.

All proceeds from this match went to the Foundation Princess Charlène of Monaco. The Swiss watch-making brand CYRUS was the main sponsor of this event. The brand created special edition Kuros timepiece (limited edition of 99 pieces) for this extraordinary event. This watch was offered to HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco at the end of the match.

A case with a diameter of 44mm (including the crowns) boasts four walls in the shape of horns with high quality finish, and encompasses the main watch mechanism. The slanting lugs designed to a hold spare rubber strap fit the wrist perfectly.

The watch displays hours, minutes, seconds, and the date (in the Cyrus font), and it is also equipped with a chronograph function. The face is fitted with three-dimensional hands (3D) and an easy-read function.

In a single glance, you can read the time at night or during the day (the hands are treated with Super-LumiNova), while a special hand, which can measure time up to or down from 4 hours and 30 minutes, enables the exact reading of hours and minutes in the chronograph function.

During MONACO GRAND PRIX 2012, Swiss luxury watch brand CYRUS will join the world of high speed car racing with its own FORMULA 3 car.

To celebrate this occasion, the young Swiss watch brand introduces two new watch models from KUROS line inspired by the unique designs of sports car. The rubber strap will be developed with the rubber coming from the wheels that will be used during the competition.

Cyrus Genève KLEPCYS Unique Piece for Only Watch 2011

Swiss luxury watch brand Cyrus Genève has created a unique piece of their KLEPCYS watch to support the Only Watch 2011 Charity auction. This 18K white gold and DLC coated titanium wristwatch features time display on a movable axis, retrograde hour function, day/night indication, large date calendar with retrograde rotating three-dimensional tens and a spherical moon.

The KLEPCYS watch was developed in collaboration with award-winning master watchmaker Jean-François Mojon. The movement driving this timepiece is the self-winding Calibre CYR598.

The hour-marker representing 11 on the retrograde scale is highlighted in red as a tribute to the colors of MONACO. It also indicates the year for charity auction – 2011. Likewise, the retrograde hour indicator of this unique timepiece features a ‘white and red’ rotating cube. The logo on the central revolving disk is also highlighted in red.

The case-back of this unique KLEPCYS watch features an 18K red gold coin (copy from the original coin of CYRUS) and the inscription “Pièce unique” – “Only Watch 2011”.

The KUROS collection takes us to the golden era of the great king, CYRUS. The design of the KUROS collection represents the necessary development, a diversion from the conformism of the current era. CYRUS Kuros Titanium & Gold, Reference 598.201.A 1

Thanks to the distinctive crown guard, the watch and its modern and innovative designed crocodile leather or rubber band stay firmly in place on the wrist. The sense of durability and harmony is aroused by the aesthetic and attractive shapes. The watch is additionally strengthened by the folding clasp which completes the design.

The watch displays hours, minutes, seconds, and the date (in the CYRUS font), and it is also equipped with a chronograph function. The face is fitted with three dimensional hands (3D) and an easy-read function.

In a single glance, you can read the time at night or during the day (the hands are treated with Super-LumiNova), while a special hand, which can measure time up to or down from 5 hours and 30 minutes, enables the exact reading of hours and minutes in the chronograph function.

This hand is an important detail as it accurately mimics the shape of the three-part logo which is also found on the crowns, faces, and screws at the back. The bottom of the watch face is the result of precise and careful work. It mimics the shape of similar triangles. The three angles of the triangles resemble the three parts of the CYRUS brand logo.

An attentive observer is sure to notice the crown next to the figure 9 and ponder on its purpose. In the end, the crown was added with the purpose of creating balance, and especially to remind the user of the limited series, and reveal the watch number. By moving the crown to the left, the serial number of your watch is disclosed mysteriously on the plate fitted at the base. An individual series is limited to only 188 watches.

The case back of every KUROS collection watch made of a gold and titanium alloy contains an identical copy of a more than 2,500-year-old COIN, fashioned during the reign of CYRUS. Today, the original is owned by the founders of CYRUS in Switzerland.

The COIN is a remnant of the first currency in the world; thus, it bears a great historic as well as financial value. All gold CYRUS watches bear the imprint of this very COIN containing the images of a lion and a bull, the indisputable symbols of authority during the reign of CYRUS.

Every titanium product from the KUROS collection is engraved with a special message for the owner, either on the coin or around the trademark logo:

By presenting KLEPCYS collection, Swiss luxury watch brand CYRUS pays homage to Babylon, the intellectual and scientific city of the ancient world. Babylon was a city of innumerable material and spiritual treasures also boasted magnificent architecture. But despite its reputable invincibility, the city was conquered. It was subdued by CYRUS the Great who, in contrast to the then military practices of the time, decided to preserve this jewel of destruction.

Babylon was famous its glorious hanging gardens which King Nebuchadnezzar had built for his wife, Queen Amytis. Babylon was well known for its mighty seven-storey tower which reached 91 metres in height and was known as the tower “with its top in the heavens”.

The KLEPCYS collection has brought long-forgotten history back to life. It is only available in a limited series and whose owner will be its sole guardian. This unique timepiece collection reminds us the Babylonian architecture and wealth.

The watch with an 18-carat red gold or 18-carat grey gold case combined with Grade 5 titanium with a DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) finish is available only in a limited series. The visible screws remind one of the three-part CYRUS brand logo and represent the “locks” of the walls of BABYLON.

The retrograde hand moves along the 180° axis and changes colour (while rotating the 180 degrees) depending on the time of day (day or night). Regardless of the hand’s position, the minute and second discs are always aligned and accurate during the linear reading of time. This patented alignment is based on a one-of-a-kind mechanism which controls the speed of the (retrograde and rotating) hour, minute, and second wheels.

Next major highlight of the dial is the patented and unique retrograde date display. The units digits (from 0 to 9) rest one on top of the other, while the tens digits change before the units digits. Once the tens digit reaches the figure 9, the figure moves in retrograde and rotates by 90 degrees. It simultaneously opens the space for the next tens digit which is placed before the units digit 0.

Finally, the tribute to the renowned Tower of Babel, the building “with its top in the heavens”, should be mentioned: a full moon with realistic crater images which links the watch to the sky.

The lunar phases are represented by a black patch which gradually covers the full moon. When the moon is fully covered, the three-section CYRUS brand logo becomes visible. Time eventually conquers the waning moon.

This luxurious watch has been designed in cooperation with Jean- François Mojon who developed the OPUS X by Harry Winston.

The watch face required precise and careful work as well. It mimics the shape of similar triangles. The three angles of the triangles resemble the three parts of the CYRUS brand logo. The logo is identical to the one in the centre of the product, the heart of BABYLON, which comes alive to the rhythm of passing seconds.

The case back of every KLEPCYS collection watch contains an identical copy of a more than 2,500-year-old COIN, fashioned during the reign of CYRUS.
