ROUE WATCHES
ROUE is a young watch brand founded by Alex Iervolino, who is a Brazilian designer and collector of vintage watches, classic cars, German Braun radios and mid – century Scandinavian furniture. After his stint with finance sector for more than 20 years, Alex has decided to venture into the watch making. In 2017, he founded a micro-brand named ROUE, which means wheel in French, as a nod to the designer’s love for classic cars.
Although influenced by iconic watches of the past, with particular attention to 1950s Universal Genève, 1960s Speedmaster to 1970s Lemania and Orfina, the contemporary timepieces designed by Alex boast their own personality and soul. Rarely seen on other micro-brands, every Roue watch is entirely designed by the founder. This creative and engineering process can take more than a year if included samples approval and the final ok for the production beginning.
