ROUE HDS Hands

The ROUE HDS Hands watch takes inspiration from the designs of German industrial designer Dieter Rams; most importantly from the minimalistic yet attractive radios designed for Braun during the 1980s.

The elements of the HDS offer a deft blend of German minimalist expression inspired by the best of Rams’s work for Braun. All versions feature a bold oversized outer minutes-ring surrounding two separate hour-tracks – one housing clean Arabic numerals, the other line markers.

The separate concentric rings give off a stepped effect, enhanced by the subtly darker gray of the outer minutes ring. The hands are tapered, adding some contrasting curve and liveliness to the domination of straight lines. What’s more, the gasket yellow is echoed through the dial emblem and seconds hand.

The HDS watch comes with a 41.5mm diameter, brush finished 316L blasted stainless steel case. This ROUE watch is driven by a Japanese Miyota 2315 quartz movement. There are 2 color variations.
