In Japan, Akane (茜) refers to the vivid madder red, a natural dye historically used in textiles and art. This color symbolizes passion, vitality, and the glow of twilight skies.

The new Dream Moonphase Kaguya AKANE watch blends this timeless cultural heritage with celestial inspiration. It has a radiant mother-of-pearl raden dial, transformed with Pantone dye into a striking red while preserving its natural shimmer.

At 10 o’clock of the main-dial, the watch features a moonphase sub-dial and a unique 31-day moonplate date display, replacing the traditional date wheel with a graphic moon design that echoes the Tale of the Bamboo Cutter.

Powered by the Hangzhou Factory H7M01 automatic movement, the Kaguya AKANE is also available with a gold Tsukimi moon disk, honoring Japan’s moon-viewing tradition, TSUKIMI.
