MIDO Multifort 8 Two Crowns
A fusion of technology and geometry, the new MIDO Multifort 8 Two Crowns is a sports watch with clean, powerful lines. Framed by an octagonal bezel, this stainless steel watch features a rotating flange activated by a second crown located at 2 o’clock.
On its subtly worked matt black dial, the magnificent reliefs of a horizontal motif create a dazzling play of light. The “recessed” indexes – round and trapezoidal on the quarter-hours – create a three-dimensional effect, like the perimeter of the dial.
Against this intense backdrop, the display indications stand out in white. Super-LumiNova® ensures that the indexes and hour and minute hands are perfectly legible. The date appears at 3 o’clock – a useful function for day-to-day use.
An internal rotating bezel completes this efficient display. Operated by a dedicated crown at 2 o’clock, this calibrated 60-minute flange can be used to count down the time.
This function, inspired by diver’s watches, is making a comeback at MIDO. This sporty face is topped by a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective treatment on both sides for optimal readability.
But it is the Multifort 8 Two Crown’s bezel that really sets it apart. With a great finesse in execution, this time it features eight polished facets, contrasted with a satin-finish. The brilliance of the stainless steel extends through the case and bracelet, whose links with their geometric surfaces create a dance of multiple reflections. On the sides, the two crowns treated with black PVD echo the dial.
The Multifort 8 Two Crowns beats to the rhythm of the Caliber 72, renowned for its exceptional slimness. Carefully crafted and decorated, this latest-generation Swiss movement is revealed through the model’s transparent case back.
It offers an extended power reserve of up to 72 hours and formidable accuracy. A Nivachron™ balance spring guarantees exceptional resistance to magnetism and shocks.
MIDI Multifort 8 Two Crowns is also available in a stainless steel version (M047.507.17.041.00) with a matt blue dial and a rubber strap with reliefs in the same colour.
