TAG Heuer Carrera Three Hands

Swiss luxury watch brand TAG Heuer revisits one of its most iconic collections, the TAG Heuer Carrera, and presents the new generation of a timeless sporty and elegant three-hand watch.

TAG Heuer Carrera Three Hands

The new collection is comprised of four versions: the TAG Heuer Carrera Day Date 41 mm, the TAG Heuer Carrera Twin-Time 41 mm, The TAG Heuer Carrera Date 39 mm and the TAG Heuer Carrera Date 29 mm. All express the brand’s everlasting passion with readability.

TAG Heuer Carrera Three Hands

The new-generation TAG Heuer Carrera Three Hands collection is presented in a wide range of sizes to fit all uses and tastes. The line consists of 13 references within four sub-collections – from a 29 mm to a 41 mm diameter.

All of them incorporate and echo the stylistic codes of the TAG Heuer Carrera Heuer 02 chronographs launched last year. The result is a refined and modern look inspired by the pure style that first made the TAG Heuer Carrera iconic.

TAG Heuer Carrera Twin-Time Date 41 mm

All references will be offered in a stainless steel case – twelve on a steel bracelet and one on a leather strap – with the choice of black, blue, white or silver dials which feature the new Carrera logo. The steel bracelets are equipped with the brand-new H-shaped links, an innovative design which is even more ergonomic and comfortable on the wrist.

TAG Heuer Carrera Date 39 mm and TAG Heuer Carrera Day Date 41mm

The TAG Heuer Carrera in the sizes 39 mm and 41 mm have a Calibre 5 automatic movement and are equipped with a new case with refined lugs. The watches have the new H-shaped bracelet for the steel version and a brown alligator leather strap for the leather version.

TAG Heuer Carrera Day Date 41mm

The dial readability is always a central asset, especially with the bolder hands and refined index integration. The Carrera Date 39 mm is fitted with a date at 6 o’clock, and for the Day Date 41 mm, a thinner date frame has been designed.

Tag Heuer Connected Bright Black Edition

The TAG Heuer Connected Bright Black Edition is an exclusive, superb and fresh reinterpretation of the TAG Heuer Connected smartwatch that combines the style, sophisticated aesthetics and technological performance.

The digital interface of this smartwatch has also received special attention, meaning the TAG Heuer Connected Bright Black Edition includes new versions of the brand’s popular watch faces as well as a brand new dial called Eclipse.

Tag Heuer Connected Bright Black Edition

The new edition of the TAG Heuer Connected watch harmoniously combines stunning design with the finest materials and features two perfectly complementary colours: the intense sheen of golden accents combined with the depth and intensity of black. This luxury smartwatch is fitted with an elegant ceramic bezel, the softest leathers for its strap, a crisp sapphire crystal and new golden markings.

Tag Heuer Connected Bright Black Edition

For the TAG Heuer Connected Bright Black Edition, the brand’s designers first selected a grade 2 titanium watch case and gave it the “Black Titanium” look. This effect is achieved by sandblasting and a black diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating, which gives the piece a supremely elegant matt black finish. It was applied to the watch’s clasp as well, with ever-thoughtful attention to detail.

Tag Heuer Connected Bright Black Edition

The piece’s understated elegance is enhanced by its black ceramic bezel, which has been mirror polished to offer a beautiful contrast against the microbeaded case. The bezel features graduations and markings in golden lacquer, as do the black DLC-coated pushers and crown, adding subtle and sophisticated finishes to the piece.

The TAG Heuer Connected Bright Black Edition will be released alongside three new beautiful and easily interchangeable straps, with a comfortable and resistant rubber base and elevated soft leather covering, and in elegant colours, sporty chic blue, natural golden brown and classic, timeless black. Owners of the TAG Heuer Connected Bright Black Edition will thus have even more options available to quickly switch up the look of their watch depending on the occasion or their unique taste.

Tag Heuer Connected Bright Black Edition

These three new colourways will join the existing TAG Heuer straps collection. The new straps are suitable for all third-generation TAG Heuer Connected watches.

To complement its sophisticated aesthetic, the TAG Heuer Connected Bright Black Edition’s digital interface has also been enhanced with some beautiful new features.

The TAG Heuer Connected Bright Black Edition will include the brand new watch face named Eclipse, created in-house and available for all TAG Heuer Connected watches. But for the special edition, the new Eclipse dial will be customised with a beautiful golden colour to perfectly match the standout casing of the TAG Heuer Connected Bright Black Edition.

Tag Heuer Connected Bright Black Edition

In addition to the new dial, six of the famous TAG Heuer Connected watch faces have also been redesigned to seamlessly coordinate with the special edition colours. The Helios, Classic and Porsche dials, for example, are elegantly reimagined with gold elements to create perfect harmony with the design of the watch.

TAG Heuer Connected Bright Black Edition wearers will have access to many perfectly matched combinations including the never-before-seen Eclipse as well as Helios, Synopsis, Timekeeping and Classic from the core collection reworked to be paired with the golden accents of the new piece, plus Orbital and Heuer 02, which already offer complementary colours within their wide range of personalisation options.

Tag Heuer Connected Bright Black Edition

The TAG Heuer Connected Bright Black Edition is available for CHF 2,500 at TAG Heuer boutiques worldwide as well as on the brand’s e-commerce website.

TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 New Additions

Following the launch of the new TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 series during Watches and Wonders Geneva in April, TAG Heuer has released three references, including a new iteration of a TAG Heuer icon, the all-black, lume-dialled TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 Night Diver.

TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 New Additions 2021

These three TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 models take the collection to 11 references. All three new models are non-limited and go into the core collection, each with a 43 mm stainless steel case and rubber strap equipped with TAG Heuer’s innovative adjustable folding clasp.

TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 Calibre 5 Automatic black dial Reference WBP201A.FT6197

The new black and blue versions pick up on the bracelet models introduced at Watches and Wonders: both are colour-themed with matching black or blue dials, ceramic bezel inserts and rubber straps.

TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 Calibre 5 Automatic blue dial Reference WBP201B.FT6198

The standout model of the release is the black DLC-coated Night Diver. Its stainless-steel case, bezel, crown, caseback and clasp are all coated in matt black diamond-like carbon, known as DLC, a high- performance, hard-wearing finish designed for use in extreme conditions. The bezel insert is highly resistant black ceramic.

TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 Night Diver - Calibre 5 Automatic, Reference WBP201D.FT6197

The TAG Heuer “Night Diver” was first introduced in the mid- 1980s. Loved by active, style-conscious watch buyers who push their limits,  it became one of the most celebrated sports watches of its era.

TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 Night Diver - Calibre 5 Automatic, Reference WBP201D.FT6197

TAG Heuer has created a faithful update to this much-loved watch, retaining and improving signature details such as the famous 12-sided bezel and the dial’s horizontal engraved lines to produce a refined, highly versatile modern classic.

TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 Night Diver - Calibre 5 Automatic, Reference WBP201D.FT6197

The Night Diver’s other signature feature is its fully luminescent dial, which is coated in green Super- LumiNova® to deliver exceptional glow-in-the-dark performance. To ensure ultimate legibility in extreme low-light conditions, the watch’s minute and central seconds hands are filled with blue lume to contrast with the green of the dial.

TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 Night Diver - Calibre 5 Automatic, Reference WBP201D.FT6197

The hour hand and octagonal hour markers at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o’clock are filled with green lume, and the remaining octagonal hour markers are all edged with black lacquer. The triangle on the unidirectional rotating bezel at 12, which is crucial to accurately and safely measure dive times, is also filled with striking blue lume to match the blue of the minute and central seconds hands.

Each of the new TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 references comes with a beautifully engineered integrated rubber strap equipped with TAG Heuer’s newly developed adjustable clasp system.

TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 Night Diver - Calibre 5 Automatic, Reference WBP201D.FT6197

These straps will be cut to length as part of a fitting process at a TAG Heuer boutique or by an authorised dealer. The wearer will then have the freedom to adjust their strap to accommodate a wetsuit, or simply to reflect changes in ambient conditions that make the wrist expand or contract.

TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 New Clasp

The fine-tuning system developed by TAG Heuer allows this adjustment can be made to extremely small tolerances. This is done by pinching and sliding the button on the side of the clasp.

TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 New Additions

The clasp also features double safety push-buttons that prevent it from being unlocked by accident. It’s this level of utility that underscores the Aquaracer Professional 300 series’ ultimate luxury tool watch status.

TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 New Additions

As with the eight pieces in the launch collection, the three new references pick up on the six signature features that have defined TAG Heuer dive watches since 1983: a unidirectional rotating bezel, a screw-down crown, water resistance to at least 200 metres, luminous markings, a scratch-resistant crystal and a double safety clasp.

TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 Calibre 5 Automatic black dial Reference WBP201A.FT6197

The form carries a number of further details that enhance its luxury feel and performance. The 12 sides of the bezel are all faceted for grip, the crown is protected to prevent accidental damage and there’s a magnifying glass over the date, which is integrated into the underside of the sapphire crystal, making it smooth to the touch.

TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 Calibre 5 Automatic black dial Reference WBP201A.FT6197

The dial with its trademark horizontally engraved lines have also been refined for the new generation of watches and are now set slightly further apart than in previous Aquaracer iterations, giving the watches their elegant, sophisticated look.

TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 Calibre 5 Automatic black dial Reference WBP201A.FT6197

As with the launch collection, the three new TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 references are powered by TAG Heuer’s Calibre 5 automatic movement. They all have solid casebacks stamped with the famous scaphander diving suit, complete with a 12-sided faceplate. All TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 models are water-resistant to 300 metres (30 bar, 1,000 feet).

In April, TAG Heuer also introduced a highly collectible limited-edition version of the TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 at launch to both complement the core collection and salute the design’s wonderful heritage. It’s called the TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 Tribute to Ref. 844.

TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 Tribute to Ref. 844 - Calibre 5 Automatic, Reference WBP208C.FT6201

This timepiece is inspired by the fabled Ref. 844 divers’ watch introduced in 1978. Only 844 examples of the TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 Tribute to Ref. 844 will be made and launched in September 2021.

TAG Heuer Connected x Super Mario Limited Edition

To celebrate the beginning of a long-term collaboration between the two brands, TAG Heuer and Nintendo have created a limited-edition smartwatch featuring Nintendo’s most famous character: Mario.

Generations of gamers have grown up with Super Mario, with more than 370 million Super Mario games sold worldwide since 1985. Since the first Super Mario Bros. game launched in Japan in 1985, Super Mario – with his red cap and blue overalls – has become recognised the world over.

TAG Heuer Connected x Super Mario Limited Edition watch

At the heart of this collaboration, the TAG Heuer Connected watch is a unique combination of the refinement and elegance of a chronograph-inspired timepiece crafted in the purest watchmaking tradition, with a state-of-the-art, custom-designed digital experience geared towards performance. It offers customers a striking and versatile wristwatch to enhance their individual lifestyle, from daily connected services to immersive sports experiences.

TAG Heuer Connected x Super Mario Limited Edition

This brand-new and action-packed digital creation, combining luxury and sport with fun features along the way, encourages the wearer to get out and about and step up their physical activity with Mario, to be rewarded by the pleasure and satisfaction of marking their progress.

TAG Heuer Connected x Super Mario Limited Edition

Mario himself is always on the move, whether he’s running and jumping, or playing sports like golf and tennis. His upbeat and active personality will encourage wearers of this smartwatch to enjoy moving too. With its watchface, which becomes livelier and more animated the more the wearer is active, this edition of the TAG Heuer Connected changes as its user makes progress, for a fun and motivating way of keeping active throughout the day.

TAG Heuer Connected x Super Mario Limited Edition

The animations are based on the gamification rewards system: Mario greets you with a welcoming salute in the morning and as the day progresses and you rack up your step count, you unlock rewards at each stage of your daily target – 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% – a different animation plays out on the dial.

These take the form of Super Mario’s famous objects: at 3 o’clock the Super Mushroom that makes Mario grow, at 6 o’clock the Pipe that allows him to travel fast and at 9 o’clock the Super Star that makes him invincible lights up. And when you reach 100% of your daily step count target, Mario climbs the Goal Pole, another iconic feature of the video game.

TAG Heuer Connected x Super Mario Limited Edition

The idea is inspired by the famous “easter egg” concept that all gamers know very well, which consists of hiding features and surprises as a bonus in video games. The interactive watchface will be pre-installed on the TAG Heuer x Super Mario Limited Edition, but TAG Heuer will also make it available on other editions of TAG Heuer Connected at a later stage.

The TAG Heuer Connected Super Mario limited-edition comes packed with exclusives, both in the digital experience it delivers, and on the watch itself. The interface has been completely redesigned in the Super Mario colours.

TAG Heuer Connected x Super Mario Limited Edition

For this limited edition, TAG Heuer’s famous Connected watchfaces have been reinterpreted with Super Mario special versions, four dials revisited to include special details associated with Super Mario.

The Timekeeping watchface was reskinned using the retro elements from the 1985 version of Super Mario Bros. with Mario, all in pixels.

Also, two versions of the Heuer 02 watchface were created exclusively for this edition: a fun rendition using Super Mario’s iconic red and blue colours, and a more classic one with subtle touches of Super Mario’s red cap. Lastly, the Orbital watchface had its neural network replaced by Super Mario’s iconic elements rotating in a beautiful and mesmerizing movement.

TAG Heuer Connected x Super Mario Limited Edition

On the exterior as well, the TAG Heuer Connected Limited Edition was designed with exclusive and subtle references that will delight Super Mario fans. The bezel graduation, push buttons and crown logo were filled with Super Mario’s famous red cap’s lacquered colour, making the watch instantly stand out from the core collection.

The bezel features three iconic symbols at the three, six and nine o’clock positions, in a nod to the Super Mario objects included in the dial animations that the user can unlock and discover only when achieving goals throughout the day.

TAG Heuer Connected x Super Mario Limited Edition

The new-look steel case also comes with two novel interchangeable straps, both featuring the signature Super Mario red colour: an elegant black leather on red rubber and a sporty alternative in matching red perforated rubber. The M symbol of Mario is engraved on the strap buckles and on the crown. Lastly, the screw-down case-back bears the special inscription “TAG Heuer x Super Mario Limited Edition”.

TAG Heuer Connected x Super Mario Limited Edition

The TAG Heuer Connected x Super Mario Limited Edition is presented in a packaging designed exclusively for this collaboration. It also comes with a travel case in Super Mario red. This edition limited to 2,000 watches will be available only in selected TAG Heuer boutiques and at http://www.tagheuer.com in some regions, from 15th July 2021.

TAG Heuer Only Watch Carbon Monaco

TAG Heuer has announced its return to Only Watch with the TAG Heuer Only Watch Carbon Monaco, a one-off, high-end, hand-finished version of the Swiss watch company’s iconic square-cased automatic chronograph that will never be recreated.

The unique watch will be auctioned at Only Watch 2021, the biennial charity watch auction, which is scheduled to take place this year in Geneva on 6 November.

The Only Watch Carbon Monaco is inspired by the mythical black-PVD-cased Monaco Reference 74033N known by collectors as the “Dark Lord”. It was produced in limited quantities in the mid-1970s and never appeared in a Heuer (as the company was called until 1985) catalogue or any of the company’s advertising. Today, it is extremely rare and highly prized.

TAG Heuer Only Watch Carbon Monaco

The TAG Heuer Only Watch Carbon Monaco’s case tells the story of this special watch using state-of- the-art manufacturing techniques. It’s forged in black carbon fibre, giving it a wonderfully mysterious look.

TAG Heuer has used carbon fibre for the Monaco case before with the 2018 Monaco Bamford, but this is a unique case that was designed explicitly to carry the largest sapphire crystal caseback ever applied to a Monaco. TAG Heuer’s engineers wanted to give the watch’s future owner an unimpeded view into its bespoke movement, while ensuring the watch remained water-resistant.

The striking skeletonised dial that gives the watch so much of its character is also carbon. It was created in collaboration with TAG Heuer’s long-time partner, the highly regarded dial specialists ArteCad, and is worked from a single piece of carbon fibre.

The dial’s architectural look was created by milling and drilling the basic form to reveal striking structural shapes that stretch across the face of the watch like the struts on a racing car, a design that makes subtle reference to TAG Heuer’s integral role in the evolution of modern motor sport over more than six decades. Each of the dial’s intricate skeletonised facets has been finished by hand using the fine-watchmaking technique of anglage, which gives the dial its depth and multidimensional look.

Underneath these, a date wheel peeks through, as does the top side of the movement. Typically, the top side of a calibre is left raw as it’s unseen, hidden by a solid dial. But in this case, TAG Heuer elected to hand-finish it to ensure every element was as exceptional as it could be, even when partially obscured, a decision that’s symbolic of the relentless attention to detail applied to the watch.

Sitting on top of the carbon dial are three black galvanised brass plates that form the watch’s chronograph and small-seconds subdials. Orange detailing sampled from Only Watch’s 2021 sun-kissed colour palette makes the hands stand out against the black dial, while the hour markers are individually machined blocks of highly luminescent beige Super-LumiNova®.

The TAG Heuer Only Watch Carbon Monaco is powered by TAG Heuer’s in-house Heuer 02 automatic chronograph, a Swiss-made movement with an 80-hour power reserve.

This, however, is a unique expression of the Heuer 02, created exclusively for the occasion. Not only has the movement been beautifully decorated by hand, it also carries TAG Heuer’s groundbreaking in- house carbon hairspring, developed by the company’s celebrated TAG Heuer Institute.

Appearing in the Heuer 02, and therefore a Monaco for the very first time, the carbon hairspring delivers exceptional levels of anti-magnetism, shock resistance, stability across temperature ranges and refined geometry for excellent chronometric performance. The movement also features a unique oscillating weight in the form of the TAG Heuer shield, which is not only hand finished throughout, but is also decorated with a fine line in the gradient orange to yellow colour of Only Watch 2021.

Astonishingly, the seamless transition from orange to yellow was achieved by hand, painted by the master dial artist and micro-painter André Martinez. André is based in Le Locle, only a few kilometres from TAG Heuer’s headquarters in the Swiss watchmaking town of La Chaux-de-Fonds.

But the movement’s story doesn’t end there. To match the spirit of Only Watch, TAG Heuer decided to give the movement an exceptional level of finishing and to work with Artime SA, one of the watch industry’s leaders in decorative techniques. This continued the watch’s bespoke story and demonstrated the company’s ongoing commitment to traditional watchmaking savoir faire.

TAG Heuer Only Watch Carbon Monaco case back view

There are no fewer than 10 types of hand finishing. The most visible is the rare graté decoration. Applied by hand, this creates the chequered-flag motif seen on the movement’s bridges and its surround, which carries further special engravings. To create an additional sense of depth, the movement also features further hand finished techniques including anglage, black polishing, circular graining, straight graining, perlage, snailing, sandblasting, chevron engraving and sunburst finishing.

It took 25 hours of additional hand-finishing to create this spectacular effect, producing a fine-watchmaking story worthy of Only Watch.

Exclusively for this unique watch, TAG Heuer has created a novel strap that looks like a metal bracelet, but which is in fact made of leather. The link effect is produced using a highly skilled process that took months to perfect. First, silicon is injected into the sole of the leather. This is then heat-stamped with a mould in the shape of a metal link bracelet, creating the three- dimensional effect. TAG Heuer has never used this technique on a watch strap before.

TAG Heuer Monaco Titan Special Edition Chronograph 39 mm

Made of Titanium, the new Heuer Monaco Titan Special Edition is a classic sports chronograph inspired by the iconic TAG Heuer Monaco collection’s origins in motorsports. Limited to 500 pieces, this new model combines the timeless elegance of the TAG Heuer Monaco with bold and modern details.

TAG Heuer Monaco Titan Special Edition Chronograph 39 mm

Heuer launched the Monaco in 1969. This iconic watch is named after the most glamorous of the Formula One Grands Prix. The original Heuer Monaco was instantly recognisable thanks to its daring and iconic design, its blue metallic dial, red and light blue hands, and above all the square-shaped waterproof case housing the first-ever automatic chronograph movement and positioning the crown on the left-hand side.

TAG Heuer Monaco Titan Special Edition Chronograph 39 mm 1

Jack Heuer considered motorsports to be a natural fit for a chronograph and timekeeping expert, and a powerful tool to promote watches, including this disruptive model. He wanted his watches to display strong links with the racing world, which is why the TAG Heuer Monaco was named after the famous Formula One Grand Prix de Monaco, of which TAG Heuer went on to become the Official Watch. Moreover, TAG Heuer is the official timekeeper of the classic Grand Prix de Monaco Historique and the Official Watch of the Monaco Top Cars Collection museum.

TAG Heuer Monaco Titan Special Edition Chronograph 39 mm 1

This new TAG Heuer Monaco goes beyond the norm and opts for titanium, a material rarely used in this collection. The case is made of Grade 2 titanium, renowned for being both exceptionally light and tough, refined by sandblasting for a matte finish which lends the watch a raw beauty.

TAG Heuer Monaco Titan Special Edition Chronograph 39 mm 1

This new TAG Heuer Monaco Titan Special Edition features a vivid and gleaming silver-coloured dial which perfectly complements the titanium case. A rare edition in the TAG Heuer Monaco collection, the light dial offers the benefit of very good visibility and an attractive contrast to the sub-dials, indexes and hands of the watch.

TAG Heuer Monaco Titan Special Edition Chronograph 39 mm 1

The black sub-dials, bright red accents on the central hand and the red index marker at 12 o’clock add character to the overall look while revelling in references to racing circuits and the official colours of TAG Heuer. The world of motor racing also inspired the rubber look of the sporty anthracite alligator strap and recalls the tyre grooves of racing cars. The indexes and sub-dials are coated with Super-LumiNova® to ensure optimum visibility in any conditions.

TAG Heuer Monaco Titan Special Edition Chronograph 39 mm 1

Finally, this special-edition TAG Heuer Monaco Titan is equipped with a modern version of the famous Calibre 11 automatic chronograph movement which celebrated its debut in the original 1969 Monaco. This reinterpretation of the movement links back to the 1969 case with its engraved “Monaco Heuer” logo.

TAG Heuer Monaco Titan Special Edition Chronograph 39 mm 1

The sporty design also recalls the original model in brushed steel, as do the push buttons, which as in the first edition are placed on the right, while the crown is positioned on the left-hand side of the case: one of the features contributing to the uniqueness of the TAG Heuer Monaco since its creation. This version of the Calibre 11 combines all the technology and expertise of TAG Heuer and celebrates a design on which the world’s first ever automatic chronograph was based in 1969.

TAG Heuer announces American sprinter and hurdler Sydney McLaughlin as its brand ambassador

Swiss luxury watch brand TAG Heuer has appointed American sprinter and hurdler Sydney McLaughlin as brand ambassador. This new partnership confirms the watchmaker’s commitment to speed and precision sports and its support of exceptional athletes who exemplify the “Don’t crack under pressure” brand motto.

21-year-old Sydney McLaughlin is a record-breaking sprinter and hurdler and an inspiration on and off the track. In 2016, she was part of the US Olympic team at age 16 for the Rio Summer Olympics. She made history as the youngest US Olympian to compete in track and field since 1972, and set a junior world record in the 400 m hurdles at the Olympic team trials.

At the 2019 IAAF World Athletics Championships in Doha, McLaughlin won gold in the 400 m relay and silver in the 400 m hurdles, breaking the record for the third fastest time in history.

Sydney McLaughlin
Sydney McLaughlin

The track and field prodigy displayed her winning mindset even before launching her pro career, not losing a high school race – indoor or outdoor – since 14 June 2014, being named the 2015–16 and 2016–17 Gatorade Girls National High School Track and Field Athlete of the Year, and shattering records while competing for the University of Kentucky.

Just a few weeks ago, Sydney broke yet another milestone for a sprinter: she became the first woman in history to post a sub-13-second time for the 100 m hurdles, a sub-23-second mark for the 200 m and a sub-53-second run in the 400 m. Sydney is also a committed advocate, using her voice and platform to support issues she is passionate about, such as anti-bullying for example.

These outstanding achievements have paved the way for McLaughlin’s second Olympic challenge as a member of Team USA. She will head to the trials in Oregon at the end of June in the hopes of making the selection for the Tokyo games this summer.

Tag Heuer Carrera Green Special Edition

Limited to 500 pieces, TAG Heuer Carrera Green Special Edition is an exceptional timepiece in a brand new colour: a deep blue-green with an intense shimmer. This watch artfully combines the tradition inherited from the first Heuer Carrera models with modern elegance, brought together by an incomparable Riviera style.

Tag Heuer Carrera Green Special Edition chronograph

The TAG Heuer Carrera collection pays homage to the brand’s fascinating motor racing heritage with a line of timeless, sporty and elegant chronographs. Since their introduction more than 60 years ago under the visionary Jack Heuer, these timepieces, with their clean lines and perfect proportions, have become an instantly recognisable icon. And this expertly reworked new edition is a worthy successor to the original 1963 model.

Tag Heuer Carrera Green Special Edition

The TAG Heuer Carrera Green Special Edition chronograph has in fact plenty in common with the Heuer Carrera ref. 2447. The signature lugs, stylish case, polished push buttons and dial all chime pleasingly with its illustrious predecessor, but the details and broader diameter – enlarged from 36 to 39 mm – bring it right up to date.

Tag Heuer Carrera Green Special Edition

The dial boasts a sober, sophisticated tricompax structure with three snailed subdials: a minute chronograph at 3 o’clock, hour chronograph at 9 o’clock and permanent second indicator at 6 o’clock.

Tag Heuer Carrera Green Special Edition chronograph lume shot

The hour and minute hands are faceted and coated with Super-LumiNova® for optimum readability. Behind the retro-style “glass box” domed sapphire crystal, also inspired by the original Heuer Carrera, the dial sports the emblematic Heuer logo and Carrera name.

Tag Heuer Carrera Green Special Edition

And last but not least, the new feature that makes this watch stand out from the crowd: the dial’s stunning teal sunray-brushed colour. Rarely featured in TAG Heuer collections, this colour is a subtle blend of blue and green, giving this timepiece a fresh, creative flair and sophisticated boldness.

On the caseback, there are touches of teal on the movement’s column wheel and in the “Calibre Heuer 02” and “Swiss Made” inscriptions on the oscillating mass, visible through the transparent case.

Tag Heuer Carrera Green Special Edition

The TAG Heuer Carrera Green Special Edition features the Calibre Heuer 02 manufacture movement, a cutting-edge automatic chronograph movement made exclusively in Switzerland at the TAG Heuer factory in Chevenez. This movement comprises 168 parts, including a column wheel and vertical clutch – a guarantee of outstanding chronometric performance. It also boasts an impressive 80-hour power reserve.

Tag Heuer Carrera Green Special Edition

Worn on a black alligator leather strap featuring a folding clasp with two safety push buttons, this model is limited to 500 pieces and engraved with the mention “SPECIAL EDITION” on the caseback.

TAG Heuer Formula 1, New Color Variations

Celebrating the start of the 2021 F1 season in Bahrain, TAG Heuer unveiled 4 new references in its TAG Heuer Formula 1 collection. Their bright colours and asphalt-effect dial lend these watches a fresh urban look that will enchant the newest generation of motorsport fans.

Since 1968 and the first sponsoring agreement signed by Jack Heuer with the Swiss racing driver Jo Siffert, TAG Heuer’s association with Formula 1 has never faltered. Back then, the champion sported the brand logo on his car and his racing suit. Thanks to him, many racing drivers began to wear a Heuer on their wrist, making TAG Heuer the watchmaker par excellence of the F1 circuits.

TAG Heuer Formula 1, New Color Variations

Paying tribute to this heritage, in 1986, TAG Heuer designed a collection exclusively dedicated to Formula 1. With their disruptive design, steel case and quartz movement, these watches combined vibrant colours with a rubber strap. Their innovative and racing looks won them overnight success.

TAG Heuer Formula 1, New Color Variations

Today, TAG Heuer is still very much part of the circuit scene and will continue to support the Red Bull Racing Formula One team in the upcoming 2021 season debuting in Bahrain, while being the Official timekeeper of the Monaco Grand Prix and long-standing sponsor of the Automobile Club de Monaco.

TAG Heuer Formula 1, New Color Variations

The TAG Heuer Formula 1 collection celebrates this unwavering passion for the race track and confirms its iconic role as motorsport’s coolest watch with four new and unmistakable editions.

TAG Heuer Formula 1, New Color Variations

The novelty pieces – 3 chronographs and a three-hands model – come with a 43 mm diameter steel case and ceramic bezel, an asphalt textured dial and, on certain models, a nylon strap that recalls the harness inside a cockpit. Above all, though, it sports the same gleaming colours that abound in the paddock.

TAG Heuer Formula 1, New Color Variations

This latest livery introduces a lime yellow along with a vibrant orange, a colour that has been part of the TAG Heuer DNA for more than fifty years. In the 1970s already, Jack Heuer presented an Autavia with orange accents on the central hand and indexes.

TAG Heuer Formula 1, New Color Variations

A bold choice that earned the model the nickname ‘Orange Boy’ among watch aficionados. And when the company launched its TAG Heuer Formula 1 in 1986, this fun colour, symbol of energy and action, had already taken its place in the palette.

TAG Heuer Formula 1, New Color Variations

Dominating the dial, orange enjoys the limelight on the three-hand model, while on the chronograph, adopting the understatement of the lime yellow, it elegantly highlights the hands, indexes and subdials and contrasts on the ceramic tachymeter-scale bezel. An urban, audaciously sporty look that is sure to appeal to the young lovers of speed and powerful emotions.

TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300

TAG Heuer presents Aquaracer Professional 300, the new generation dive watches from their best-selling Aquaracer collection. Bold andyet elegant, highly functional and yet versatile, these ergonomic, extreme-performance mechanical watches reflect TAG Heuer’s fearless, avant-garde spirit. This new series recalls a legacy that TAG Heuer began more than 40 years ago.

Aquaracer Professional 300 Calibre 5 Automatic

That legacy began with the Heuer Ref. 844, a divers’ watch released in 1978. It had a memorable dial design with a red 24-hour scale, prominent lume-filled hour markers and a rotating divers’ bezel with a crystal-clear minutes scale for safely timing dives.

In the four decades since the watch was launched, TAG Heuer has continued to push the limits of divers’ watch design and performance, through celebrated pieces such as the Night Diver and the 1000 and 2000 Series models, while the Ref. 844 has become a collectors’ favourite.

Aquaracer Professional 300 Calibre 5 Automatic

For the Aquaracer Professional 300 launch collection, TAG Heuer’s designers worked with a clear concept – to create a bold, high-performance, ergonomic watch for divers that was distinctively TAG Heuer. On top of that, they wanted to respect the company’s divers’ watch tradition while delivering design and material refinements that would meet and exceed the high expectations of today’s customer.

This meant working with the Aquaracer collection’s six signature features and updating and upgrading them. Since 1983, the collection has always offered a unidirectional rotating bezel, a screw-down crown, water resistance to at least 200 metres, luminous markings, a sapphire glass and a double safety clasp – real-world functions that divers know to rely on in the deep.

Aquaracer Professional 300 Calibre 5 Automatic

To start, the team turned to the most visually arresting and immediately recognisable element of the Aquaracer’s design – its 12-sided unidirectional rotating bezel. The designers kept the basic form and evolved it, integrating a scratch-resistant ceramic insert across the collection and fluting each of the 12 facets so the bezel would be easy to grip and turn, no matter which facets the wearer is holding. They also re-engineered the bezel’s internal tooth profile so that the rotating mechanism becomes smoother, quieter and easier to set.

Aquaracer Professional 300 Calibre 5 Automatic

They also upgraded the sapphire glass, integrating a magnifier over the date at 6 o’clock into the underside of the glass so that the surface is smooth to the touch. This simple but effective forward step also makes the date easier to read from wider angles.

The bezel’s silhouette was then used to inform further elements of the Aquaracer Professional 300’s design, so that it now has eight octagonal hour markers and a 12-sided crown. This elegant uniformity gives the new watch’s design language its consistency.

Further improvements were then made to the overall look and legibility of the watch. The new model has a wider, more sword-shaped hour hand (reminiscent of the last of the TAG Heuer 2000 Series, introduced in 2004) and a narrower minutes hand to create a clearer distinction between the two hands in low-light conditions.

TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 Calibre 5 Automatic with blue sunray-brushed dial

For extra clarity, the designers chose green Super-LumiNova® for the hour hand and hour markers, and blue Super-LumiNova® for the minutes hand. The crown protection has been rethought too, and is now softer and more rounded, cupping the crown in a style reminiscent of the Ref. 844. Combined, these small details become significant, because they deliver greater legibility, meaning a diver can refer to their watch with far greater confidence, even in extreme conditions where visibility is greatly reduced.

Aquaracer Professional 300 Calibre 5 Automatic

During the conceptual phase, TAG Heuer’s designers also recognised that, as well as being a reliable instrument, the Aquaracer Professional 300 needed to be adaptable to multiple environments. More and more wearers are turning to divers’ watches for their robustness and versatility, while at the same time wanting a watch for both work and play.

With this in mind, they evolved the Aquaracer’s overall form to be thinner and lighter. The case, bezel and metal bracelet have all been slimmed down, without compromising the watch’s core performance features, such as water-resistance to 300 metres (30 bar), while also improving durability. The new watch’s lugs are now shorter, while the case edge has been chamfered and polished to give more harmony to the watch’s visual impact and add refinement. As a result, on the wrist, the watch now has a more sophisticated profile, and is lighter and more ergonomic.

To complete the Aquaracer Professional 300’s look and feel, the designers returned to the famous scaphander diving suit that first appeared on the Aquaracer case back in 2004. The familiar, authoritative motif continues to underline the value of the watch to its users, who are the latest in a long line of underwater explorers who chose the Aquaracer.

Reflecting the facets that become the new design’s fil rouge, they made the diving helmet more angular and added a 12-faceted faceplate. Behind it sits a repeating hexagonal motif. The case back will now also always be square to the case so that the scaphander sits upright.

As a result of these technical and aesthetic upgrades, the new Aquaracer Professional 300 is both a nod to the past and a contemporary design ready for the future. At launch, there will be seven references in two sizes in the core collection.

Four references will have a 43 mm case diameter, and three will feature a case measuring 36 mm. Each has a uni-directional rotating divers’ bezel with a ceramic insert and an engraved minutes scale. Six of these will be in stainless steel, with the choice of black, blue or silver dials. There will also be a 43 mm piece in high-tech matte Grade 2 titanium with a green dial.

The stainless-steel models have either a black or blue ceramic bezel insert with a white triangle at 12 o’clock filled with blue Super- LumiNova®.

The titanium model has a green ceramic bezel insert with a yellow triangle at 12 o’clock, and every indication on its minutes scale is filled with blue Super-LumiNova® to maximise low-light visibility.

To give the watches the bold sophistication established as a core principle during the concept phase, all seven references have been given stylish engraved dials.

The 43 mm models carry over one of the signature design cues from the outgoing Aquaracer, namely the dial’s engraved horizontal lines, only now these have been set further apart, contributing to the watch’s more considered look.

The dials on the smaller 36 mm models are engraved with a wave pattern, which was introduced in 2019.

The blue 36 mm model also has eight diamond hour markers and polished central bracelet links.

Each reference features a new integrated metal bracelet design, equipped with a highly sophisticated fine adjustment system that can extend or reduce the bracelet length by up to 1.5 cm. This enables wearers to resize the bracelet so the watch can be worn over a wetsuit, or adjust the bracelet size to cater for changes in climate or temperature, without taking the watch off.

TAG Heuer is also introducing a highly collectible limited-edition version of the Aquaracer Professional 300 at launch to both complement the core collection and salute the design’s wonderful heritage. It’s called the Aquaracer Professional 300 Tribute to Ref. 844, and, as the name suggests, it picks up on the story of the fabled Ref. 844 divers’ watch, introduced in 1978.

In creating this beautiful watch, TAG Heuer’s designers mixed a high-tech Grade 5 titanium case with a number of visual elements from the archive piece. The flat black dial carries the Ref. 844’s red 24-hour scale, which was originally intended as a quick conversion chart for on-the-field professionals reporting the time against the 24-hour clock.

The watch also has vintage lume and a black perforated rubber strap based on an original design created to allow water to swiftly pass between the watch and the wearer’s wrist.

TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 Tribute to Ref. 844 Calibre 5 Automatic Limited Edition

In keeping with the watch’s repeating-facet design code, those perforations are octagonal. Only 844 examples of the Aquaracer Professional 300 Tribute to Ref. 844 will be made.

TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 Tribute to Ref. 844 Calibre 5 Automatic Limited Edition

All eight references in the new Aquaracer Professional 300 collection are powered by TAG Heuer’s Calibre 5, an ultra-reliable Swiss-made, automatic mechanical movement that drives hour, minute and seconds hands and a date, which is now positioned at 6 o’clock, in keeping with the design codes of the new generation of TAG Heuer watches. Every model has a solid case back and provides water resistance to 300 metres (30 bar).

TAG Heuer Connected Golf Edition (Upgraded Version)

The TAG Heuer Connected Golf Edition, launched in June of 2020, quickly established itself as the smartwatch of choice for the global golfing community. Now, this connected has been upgraded with new features, including the world premiere of enhanced maps and an exciting club recommendation tool, for its popular Connected Golf Edition. The luxury brand has also recently entered into a partnership with professional golfer Tommy Fleetwood, who will proudly wear the watch.

TAG Heuer Connected Golf Edition (Upgraded Version)

Improved 2D & 3D mapping

TAG Heuer Golf has always visually stood out with its unique mapping technology, displaying interactive 2D maps on the watch, and realistic 3D courses on the phone. But TAG Heuer is bringing the experience to another level with this latest update. The Connected Watch now displays upgraded 2D maps with even more details, including forests and single trees. The mobile application also comes with massive 3D map improvements, both on Android and iOS, as all textures (water, rough, fairway, etc) and assets (trees, walls, etc) have been upgraded.

TAG Heuer Connected Golf Edition (Upgraded Version)

On iOS devices, TAG Heuer innovated by using SceneKit, the latest Apple high-level 3D graphics framework, to make the 3D renderings more detailed than ever. IOS users will even enjoy simulated shot trajectory for better post-round visualization on their phone. The overall feel and design make the experience more realistic than ever before and recall the visuals seen on telecasts of professional tournaments. These renderings are unique to TAG Heuer Golf and show the brand’s commitment to constant innovation.

The Driving Zone feature, unique to TAG Heuer, has met with great success since its launch in June 2020. It automatically shows players the landing zone of their previous tee shots, helping them adopt the strategy that suits them best.

The TAG Heuer Golf app has accurate, up-to-date maps of more than 40,000 courses around the world and can accompany any player no matter where their love for the sport takes them.

Club recommendation

One of the most exciting new features on the watch is the innovative club recommendation tool. As the user moves the target on the map, he is recommended the right club based on distance. The user can first set up distances for each of his club, and the watch will then take into account the shots he recorded for even better recommendation. The feature can be easily disabled for players in tournaments or on courses where its use is not allowed.

Enhanced scoring

Keeping score on the watch is one of the features most appreciated by Golf Edition owners. The revamp of the app now enables visualizing the score in stroke play, stableford, or match play, making the watch the perfect companion for friendly rounds as well as competitions. For players who wish to play with both their TAG Heuer Connected Golf Edition watch and their smartphone, a new built-in Bluetooth connection allows for faster synchronization, which delivers an even smoother experience when starting a round or synchronizing scores and shots.

TAG Heuer Connected Golf Edition pushers: Recording shots and distances with optimal precision

The shot tracking feature, activated by the top pusher, has proved to be highly appreciated by TAG Heuer Connected owners. More than simply tracking the score, it also records shot distance as the player walks to the ball. For iOS users, shot trajectory is then simulated and displayed on the 3D maps on the phone for post-round analysis. Also, the more players record their shots this way, the better the club recommendation will be.

TAG Heuer Connected Golf Edition (Upgraded Version)

The TAG Heuer Connected watch features an ultra-lightweight 45-mm black titanium case that reflects the design and refined finish of the brand’s renowned chronographs. It is crafted in the purest watchmaking tradition, with a state-of-the-art, custom-designed digital experience geared towards performance. Delivered in exclusive packaging, The TAG Heuer Connected Golf Edition comes with a dedicated travel pouch and golf accessory box. It offers customers a striking and versatile digital wristwatch to enhance their individual lifestyle and golf game.

Thanks to its intuitive interchangeable bracelet system, with a single clip motion, the wearer can effortlessly change the watch’s look.

TAG Heuer Connected Golf Edition (Upgraded Version)

Other styles can be purchased in durable rubber, offered in a classic black scale pattern with red or lime green stitching, or in bolder perforated red, orange, blue, or khaki. Striking straps crafted in rubber and leather are also available in either green or brown.

The experience on the wrist is complemented by the TAG Heuer mobile companion app that allows for even greater personalisation and insights into the wearer’s other sport activities, such as running, cycling or fitness. TAG Heuer has also added a new Wellness App to its digital ecosystem, which allows wearers to help wearers stay fit and in good shape – simply and effectively – while maintaining their lifestyles.

Tommy Fleetwood

Tommy Fleetwood, the newly appointed brand ambassador of TAG Heuer, represents the Connected Golf Edition.

The 29-year old Englishman has achieved international success as a five-time European Tour Winner and a member of 2018’s victorious European Ryder Cup Team. As the face of the TAG Heuer Connected watch Golf edition, Tommy has been working closely with the TAG Heuer Connected team’s software engineers in Paris and lending his professional expertise to further develop the already best-in-class TAG Heuer Golf app and enhance the overall player experience of the app.

Tommy Fleetwood

Fleetwood claimed his first European Tour title in 2013 at the Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles, and finished in the top 50 on the Race to Dubai for four consecutive seasons before landing his second title at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship in 2017.

That proved to be a breakthrough season, as Fleetwood also won the prestigious French Open title and joined golf’s elite by ascending to the top ten on the Official World Golf Ranking and finishing the year as Europe’s Number One player. Fleetwood received the Seve Ballesteros Award (formerly the Players’ Player of the Year Award) in recognition of his remarkable achievements.

Tommy Fleetwood

He successfully defended his Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship title in 2018 and was then runner-up in the US Open Championship at Shinnecock Hills where he posted a final round 63 – the equal lowest round ever recorded in a US Open and tied-second lowest score in the history of all four Major Championships.

Fleetwood made a record-breaking Ryder Cup debut at Le Golf National in France in September of 2018, as he and his great friend Francesco Molinari became the first European partnership to win four matches out of four over two glorious days in Paris. Fleetwood and Molinari, or Moliwood as they became affectionately known, were the foundations for Team Europe’s unforgettable 17½-10½ victory over the USA.

Tommy Fleetwood

At the end of 2019, Fleetwood captured the Nedbank Challenge at Sun City in South Africa. One of the European Tour’s most prestigious events, the Nedbank Challenge has long been called ‘Africa’s Major’ due to the difficulty of the golf course at the Gary Player Country Club and the consistently world-class field of players the tournament attracts.
