Hyper luxury Swiss watch manufacture Roger Dubuis has created a limited edition Excalibur Monobalancier timepiece in collaboration with world-famous Japanese artist Hajime Sorayama.

Limited to 28 pieces, this Poinçon de Genève certified timepiece is presently available in Japan only. This 42mm timepiece in titanium is equipped with a modern Roger Dubuis mechanical skeleton movement.

The skeleton calibres manufactured by Roger Dubuis in Geneva are the essence of the expressive singularity of the Excalibur collection. Every single component being finished by hand, the watches are symbols of passion.

Developed for the new generation Excalibur watches, the Roger Dubuis Calibre RD720SQ comes with improved performances. It offers an increased power reserve up to 72 hours thanks to a new gear train toothing and escapement optimization through its geometry. Improved durability thanks to new lube, and increased precision thanks to 4hz frequency.

The new Roger Dubuis Excalibur Monobalancier watch created in partnership with Hajime Sorayama mixes both creative territories of the artist and the brand.

Hajime Sorayama is known worldwide for his works in fine art, illustration and industrial design. His notable works include the initial design of first generation of Sony AIBO robots and the pin-up works for men’s magazines like Penthouse.

The star-shaped bridge redesigned by Sorayama, turns curvy and full polished, same as the titanium case and bracelet, like an echo of his metallic 3D sculptures. The micro rotor displays a moiré effect, with a fixed fringed sapphire glass and a mobile engraved metallic part, to remind the artist’s obsession about light reflection.

The white lacquered box is adorned with hot-stamped Roger Dubuis with Sorayama font.

The Excalibur Sorayama MB watch comes with a polished titanium bracelet. It is the first Roger Dubuis grade 5 titanium bracelet to feature its Quick Release System.

Roger Dubuis presents a new Black Ceramic version of its Excalibur Monobalancier watch that was unveiled during the Watches and Wonders 2022 luxury watch event.

The emblematic creations from Roger Dubuis, Excalibur watches comply with the Poinçon de Genève, one of the most respected certifications of Haute Horlogerie.

Roger Dubuis presents Excalibur Monobalancier, the latest evolution of the iconic Excalibur collection.

For the inaugural Monobalancier edition, Roger Dubuis used EON GOLDTM, a specific 750/1000 5N gold alloy that is more resistant to tarnishing when exposed to extreme conditions.

Both contemporary and sophisticated, this Excalibur watch comes with a series of mechanical and aesthetic improvements.

Inside the watch beats RD 720SQ calibre, a brand new self-winding movement with improved performance. It offers increased power reserve up to 72 hours thanks to a new gear-train toothing and escapement optimization through its geometry. It also has improved durability thanks to new lube, and increased precision thanks to 4 Hz frequency.

The micro-rotor is optimised to minimise its vibrations, and crafted from Pink Gold 750/1000 and Tungsten finished with an engraving of the Roger Dubuis’ monogram to modernise its design.

The Maison has doubled the balance wheel inertia to improve stability and make it less sensitive to shocks. In the same way, better efficiency and energy transmission is achieved by optimising the shape of the escapement wheel, now constructed from diamond-coated silicon, and paired with adjustable, diamond-coated silicon pallet-stones, and a new lube.

The Excalibur Monobalancier watch comes with clean cut lines, fluted bezel and sharp notches, while the signature star is reshaped to levitate freely above the barrel.

A contemporary approach is further evident in the decorations amplifying the expressive nature of this 42mm timepiece, including highly contrasted decorations such as sandblasted, satin-brushed surfaces, and polished angles.

Meeting the exceptional high standards of the Poinçon de Genève, two editions are available, one with an EON GOLDTM case and an embossed black calf-leather strap, the other one also with an EON GOLDTM case and adorned with 60 round-cut diamonds and an embossed purple calf-leather strap.

Roger Dubuis has launched a new timepiece from the iconic Knights of the Round Table collection. This new creation unites rare artistic mastery, outstanding craftsmanship and unbridled creativity.

This pink gold watch boasts the emblematic Knights of the Round Table dial design. Made of 18k 750/1000 pink gold, the twelve hour-markers are shaped after armed knights.

Dressed in medieval armour with plates, shield and helmet, each of these micro-sculptures has its own unique postures. The transparent blood-red flange and the magma inspired texture on the black dial are made of from precious Murano glass.

The 18K gold case incorporates signature details like notched bezel and three-legged strap attachments. The crown and its protector are intentionally shaped like the guard of a sword, designed to appear as if a blade is stuck inside the watch. The transparent sapphire crystal ring under the bezel provides the view of the knights.

The Roger Dubuis Knights of the Round Table is equipped with the automatic Monobalancier RD821 calibre. This movement maintains the excellentest standards of hand-finishing and haute-horlogerie artistry, according to the criteria of the Poinçon de Genève.

Visible through the exhibition case back, the oscillating weight of the movement spotlights a circular finish comprised of two woven layers of tilted pyramid shapes that create the appearance of castle-stained glass. Inspired by the triangular notches around the edge of the timepiece, this sophisticated design choice provides a fascinating view of the rotor moving inside the mosaic.

Secured with four screws, the pink gold case-back also features the engraving of the famous oath: “Around this table, the bravest knights will gather as equals. They will set forth in search of adventure, righting wrongs, protecting the weak and humbling the proud.”

Swiss luxury watch brand Roger Dubuis presents Excalibur Spider Huracàn Automatic, a limited edition specifically developed for the launch of the Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2, the super car involved in the Super Trofeo GT races.

This automatic timepiece features a 45mm diameter case made of SMC carbon, a composite material developed in-house and similar to the one used on the Lamborghini Huracán’s monocoque chassis and body panels, while black DLC titanium is used on the bezel.

With a honeycomb motif made famous by the Huracán supercar, the hexagonal dashboard of the Lamborghini Huracán is reflected in the design, while twin barrels and a 12° tilted balance wheel represent the signature calibre associated with Lamborghini Squadra Corse. Visible through the sapphire crystal caseback, the semi-skeletonised movement reveals a Huracán wheel rim inspired 360° oscillating weight.

Dressed in a distinctive khaki green and electrifying orange, this sharp and super-sleek timepiece boasts a Black DLC titanium crown inspired by the Huracán’s racing nuts. The upper calibre strut-bar bridge is reminiscent of those found on the V10 engine itself.
