Paul Picot Atelier Regulator with Lapis Lazuli Dial

The Atelier Regulator timepiece with lapis lazuli stone dial perfectly reflects the fundamental values of Paul Picot, the Le Noirmont based watch brand that creates and manufactures Swiss watches with valued horological complications and an understated, elegant yet spirited design.

The complication of this timepiece is therefore not only in the movement (exclusive calibre PP 1100 with regulator functions and COSC certificate) but also in the manufacture of the stone dial. A real craftsmanship challenge that requires a multidisciplinary know-how: from dial manufacture to jewellery art. The stone sheet that composes the dial is extremely thin: only 0.5 mm.

The result is amazing and will seduce the watch experts from the entire globe: the emotion that everyone feels in front of this masterpiece is even stronger when the dial is irradiated by the sunlight.  This timepiece is available in limited edition of 88 pieces in gold and 88 pieces in stainless steel. But more important, each piece is unique to the other as no one lapis lazuli sheet is identically.

Paul Picot Gentleman Minoia Morandi Classic

A tribute to the Gentlemen drivers Minoia – Morandi (the winners of the first Mille Miglia race): now also available in an automatic 3-hands version. Since 2013, Paul Picot, together with its Classic Club “Morandi”, organises a classic race which allows only cars dated before the 2nd World War to participate.

The location of the race is around the wonderful Garda Lake in Italy, a very well-known place by the cars lovers as well as for its famous races such as the Mille Miglia. Minoia and Morandi have won the Mille Miglia’s first edition in 1927 and Paul Picot makes a tribute to these legendary car drivers with a special Gentleman chronograph edition.

This year, the brand headquartered in Le Noirmont is launching the 3-hands version of the Minoia – Morandi Chronograph. A classic watch case with a diameter of 42 mm like the Chronograph version but thinner and more elegant.

The case in stainless steel is characterised by a personalised logo at 9 o’clock, which perfectly matches the black mat dial with Arabic numbers, inspired by the car instruments. A red seconds hand and red driver name give a “sporty touch”. A warm strap in Vintage calf leather finally completes these two watches.

To celebrate the year of the 1st Mille Miglia race, the first 27 bundles are sold as a pair within a single gift box.

Paul Picot C-type 30th Anniversary Edition

In 1987, the offshore powerboat from the Paul Picot Team was winning the most important competition worldwide. To further consolidate the link between the brand and those fascinating and extreme challenges, Paul Picot created a sport watch within its Collection: La Plongeur. The innovative design and the original codes of this creation, made a sensation within the watch market.

Since 30 years, the C-type (the advanced model of the La Plongeur) identifies the sporting spirit of Paul Picot. To celebrate this anniversary, the brand from Le Noirmont reveals a new amazing black steel / 18k rose gold version.

Inspired by the creativity and the vision of Mario Boiocchi, founder and President of Paul Picot, together with Hugo Berger, the watch designer of the House, one of the most innovative and sensational timepiece in term of design and identity has been developed in 1987. Like the majority of iconic designs, La Plongeur A-Type was unique, deeply simplistic, without details or unnecessary ornaments. It stands out for the intrinsic qualities in its shapes and forms: one circle (to symbolise the case), one line (the lines of the perpendicular pattern used by the designer to define the proportion of bezel, lugs, strap,…), one concept.

La Plongeur was an iconic watch and at the same time a very reliable diver instrument. But moreover, the model was different to all other diver and sport watches on the market.  As a tribute for the 30 years anniversary of this unique watch, Paul Picot has created amazing black steel / 18k rose gold version of this historical Collection. Two models available: the classic 3 hands date and a chronograph.

Paul Picot Atelier Cherry Blossom, New Models

During Baselworld 2016, Paul Picot has launched the Atelier Cherry Blossom, a time piece that appeal to women who appreciate elegant lines, colours, arts and crafts. This inspiring romantic story continues…

With outstanding dexterity and attention to detail, the artists hand-paint the “Cherry Blossom” design on a mother-of-pearl dial, which is showcased in the brand’s iconic signature “Atelier” case, in 31 mm and 33 mm diameter sizes.

The dial design is hand-made in miniature using enamel painting. Each dial takes one month to be produced. With delicate strokes of an ultrathin sable brush, the artist applies the enamel painting to a mother-of-pearl dial plate, which is then air-dried during 15 days (those dials can’t be oven baked like the Grand Feu technique).

The subtle shimmer of the natural mother-of-pearl provides the perfect backdrop for the intricate pink and white cherry blossom. Each mother-of-pearl dial is produced as a limited edition of 300 pieces, available in green, pink and blue. The genuine crocodile-leather strap matches the watch perfectly. An optional range with a stainless steel bracelet is also available.

Paul Picot Firshire Ronde Small Seconds

With the new Firshire Ronde small seconds, Paul Picot reaffirms its ability to master the art of combining the classical tradition and values of genuine Swiss watchmaking. With a contemporary, elegant and creative design, Paul Picot continuously research to ally personality and authentic character.

The new Firshire Ronde small seconds is inspired by two fundamental values of the brand headquartered in Le Noirmont (Swiss Jura): pure elegance and timeless design.

The exquisite classic asset of this timepiece is underlined by a traditional automatic movement with the small seconds at 6H, a reduced case diameter (40 mm) as well as a state-of-the-art dial. Inspired by the past, the design is yet contemporary, rich and pure.

The Firshire ronde small seconds exists in two different executions: stainless steel and two-tone (steel and 18 ct. rose gold). Five dials colours are available: white with roman figures (only for the steel version), silver and blue (both with a soleil finishing and applied bâtons indices), ivory (with applied Arabic numbers) and anthracite (with a sublime shaded off dégradé effect and applied bâtons indices).

This new execution of Paul Picot is a sublime dress watch targeting a refined and demanding public looking for classic timepieces that have the power to endure and withstand ever-changing current fashions. The wearer of the two-tone version is particularly sophisticated. The Louisiana alligator strap is available in 3 different colours (black, tobacco and blue) with mat or shiny finishing. A metal bracelet is available for the stainless steel version.

The Firshire Ronde small seconds family will be presented during Baselworld 2017 (March 23rd to March 30th, 2017).

Paul Picot Gentleman ‘Savoia Marchetti’ Limited Edition

This new watch collection from Paul Picot celebrates the Legend of Atlantic Transvolata, a real pride for the Italian engineering technical expertise. In 1933, formation of 25 seaplanes Savoia Marchetti S55X set off from Orbetello for a round trip to reach Chicago and New York and back to Rome. This expedition was organized by Italo Balbo to celebrate the first decade of the Italian Regia Aereonautica and was an opportunity for propaganda at the Universal Exhibition in Chicago: Century of Progress.

To celebrate this extraordinary event, Paul Picot, in collaboration with Alenia Aermacchi, is presenting a limited edition of 25 pieces dedicated to each of the aircraft participating for a total of 625 pieces. An ultra special version of only 10 pieces will be in steel and gold.

The Savoia-Marchetti S.55 was a produced in the 1920s and starred for a decade in various roles in the Italian Royal Air Force. Author of various famous Atlantic Ocean’s Trasvolate became a symbol of the Italian Air Force technological prowess and innovation during the early years of the Italian fascist regime. The only surviving S.55 is the C version on exhibition at the Museum of Tam Sao Paulo in Brazil.

25 SIAI- Marchetti S.55X seaplanes took part to the historic Trasvolata, they were organized in eight squadrons (with one in reserve, call sign I-MARI) all marked with insignias and acronyms. The plane of Balbo had the insignia of an eagle. The flight formation dictated that every three planes per squadron would fly in a “V” configuration with a distance of 500 m between each squadron. Each of these themes is repeated now by Paul Picot on the side of the watch.

Its internal composition consists of diamond micro pigments which give the maximum hardness to the solution. On the Vickers hardness scale PVD obtains a level of 2400-2600 while HDT achieves a much higher 3500-3700. Bearing In mind that diamond is at the top of the scale with a hardness of 8400 Vickers. HDT treatment creates a coat of 3 – 10 microns according to the process employed. HDT treatment must be performed by highly specialized staff and several steps of the treatment are done by hand.HDT is hypoallergenic and does not contain heavy metals. Paul Picot Atelier « L’Art de L’Email » Year of the Horse Limited Edition

Paul Picot’s Atelier “L’art de l’émail” collection reflects the watchmaker’s art at its most refined. For 2014, Paul Picot is presenting an exceptional model. The dial is decorated with Grand Feu champlevé enamelling to celebrate the Chinese Year of the Horse.

The Atelier “L’art de l’émail” watches are embellished using high-quality ancestral techniques: champlevé, flinqué and enamelling. In the champlevé technique, hollows are created to be filled with enamel. In flinqué, incisions are made in the tiniest surfaces to intensify the colours. Lastly, the dial is enamelled. The enamel is carefully prepared and vitrified at 850 degrees Celsius.

This process adorns the dial with a multitude of colours which reflect light in a thousand different ways, delighting the owner afresh each day. The image is drawn to scale and divided into sectors. At this stage, the colours, incisions and shades are determined. Enamel powder is skilfully blended to create the colours. An infinite number of shades of each colour can be achieved. A range of chisels in different shapes and gauges are used for the flinqué technique. The operation is very delicate, as the incisions made are just half a millimetre wide.

With the new Atelier The Horse model, Paul Picot has added another masterpiece to the L’art de l’émail collection. It is being produced as a limited edition of 88 rose gold watches.
