The GMT movement boasts a jumping hour feature to easily set the local time and change the date forward or backward at any time of the day without losing a second.

Affirming the exclusivity of the movements are the unique NORQAIN decorations visible through the transparent caseback such as the golden “double-N” NORQAIN logo, symbolising the Swiss Alps, on the oscillating weight and “Adventure – Freedom – Independence”, the brand’s core values and NORQAIN collection names, engraved on the bridge.

NORQAIN also offers four-year international warranty, which can be extended to five years when the customer joins the NORQAINER Club within one month of their purchase.

10% of the earnings of NEVEREST sales will be donated to the Butterfly Help Project, created by Norbu Sherpa and Andrea Sherpa-Zimmermann of Wild Yak Expeditions.

NORQAIN ADVENTURE NEVEREST

NEVEREST is a new sub-collection in its Adventure family from NORQAIN’s Adventure family.

The family-owned Swiss watch company has recently launched three remarkable NEVEREST 3-hand models introduce the charitable partnership with the Butterfly Help Project. Earnings from the sale of these models will help children from Nepal learn and thrive in the classroom.

These are the first timepieces in the Adventure collection to be fitted with the high-performance Manufacture Calibre NN20/1, which the brand developed in partnership with Kenissi.

NORQAIN ADVENTURE NEVEREST in steel and gold

The name “NEVEREST” speaks to NORQAIN’s positive attitude, momentum, and never-resting approach to climbing industry summits. Underscoring the collection’s connection to Mt. Everest, part of the inspiration behind the name, is NORQAIN’s support of the Butterfly Help Project in Nepal, which was founded by Norbu Sherpa and Andrea Sherpa-Zimmermann of Wild Yak Expeditions.

NORQAIN ADVENTURE NEVEREST

From the very beginning, mountain climbing has been a part of NORQAIN’s story – from the Swiss Alps in the logo to Mt. Everest, the inspiration behind the newest collection. The collection name captures the independent watchmaker’s adventurous spirit and its unending motivation to push the boundaries of the industry. The launch of NEVEREST is the start of a new chapter in NORQAIN’s on-going adventure; a story that now includes a partnership that helps others overcome challenges and enjoy the view from the top.

NORQAIN ADVENTURE NEVEREST

Ten per cent of the earnings of NEVEREST sales will be donated to the Butterfly Help Project. This organisation, created by Norbu Sherpa and Andrea Sherpa-Zimmermann of Wild Yak Expeditions, helps families of sherpas who have lost their lives in the Himalayan mountains and gives their children access to education.

Andrea Sherpa-Zimmermann from Switzerland and Norbu Sherpa, who has successfully climbed Mt. Everest seven times and has earned the title of Sirdar, met in 2011 when Andrea attempted to summit Cho Oyu with Norbu leading the way. They founded Wild Yak Expeditions in 2014 and were married two years later in 2016, when Andrea also conquered Mt. Everest.

With Wild Yak Expeditions, Norbu and Andrea not only want to make the dreams of mountaineers and adventurous travellers come true; they also want to give something back to Nepal’s people, who may not have the same chances in life. They believe that education leads the way to opportunity, which is why Andrea and Norbu founded the Butterfly Help Project.

NORQAIN has committed to sending 50 children to school in 2021 and supporting them in the coming years. With earnings from the sales of NEVEREST watches, the independent brand will support more children in need through the Butterfly Help Project. The financial aid they receive through the sales of NEVEREST watches will pay for school fees, classroom material, books, uniforms, and athletic equipment.

Inspired by the appearance of the world’s highest peak, the Adventure NEVEREST 40mm Glacier has a captivating silvery look – from the steel brushed and satined case, to the grey bezel and dial. Red accents like the zero marker on the grey bezel ring, the central seconds hand and the “Chronometer” inscription stand out against the cracked white dial.

NORQAIN ADVENTURE NEVEREST 40mm Glacier 1

The cracks resemble the jagged crevasses of Khumbu Icefall, the most dangerous stage of the climb to Everest’s summit. The markers and hour, minute and seconds hands are coated in X1 Superluminova, which is 60% stronger than the standard Superluminova. A knurled texture on the edge of the steel bezel and the unidirectional-rotating click system make it easier to manipulate and keep track of passed time.

NORQAIN ADVENTURE NEVEREST 40mm Glacier

This NEVEREST model is presented on a stainless steel bracelet (USD 3,250.00), a textured rubber strap (USD 3,050.00) or a flexible fabric strap (USD 3,050.00). At its heart is the powerful NORQAIN Manufacture Calibre NN20/1. This watch is water resistant to 200 metres.

NORQAIN ADVENTURE NEVEREST 40mm Glacier

The eye-catching Adventure NEVEREST in steel and gold is limited to 100 pieces – as indicated by the caseback engraving of “ONE OF 100”. The 40mm timepiece has an 18ct 5N red gold bezel fitted with a black ceramic ring. For optimal handling, the edge of the unidirectional-rotating bezel is knurled.

NORQAIN ADVENTURE NEVEREST in steel and gold

The dial features a new take on the characteristic “NORQAIN pattern” with a grey and black design constructed through a complex production process. The “Chronometer” indication in red matches the tip of the central seconds hand.

NORQAIN ADVENTURE NEVEREST in steel and gold

This captivating model has three bracelet and strap options to choose from: a textured black rubber strap with the same knurled style as the bezel (USD 4,380.00), a steel bracelet with an additional security clasp (USD 4,580.00), or a flexible fabric strap (USD 4,380.00).

NORQAIN ADVENTURE NEVEREST

NORQAIN also presents a sportier version of the timepiece with its recognisable dial pattern in forest green and black – a dynamic look for the unique dial design. Its stainless steel bezel has a black ceramic ring.

NORQAIN ADVENTURE NEVEREST

Like its limited edition counterpart, this model is available with a stainless steel bracelet (USD 3,190.00), a black rubber strap (USD 2,990.00) or flexible fabric strap (USD 2,990.00).

NORQAIN ADVENTURE NEVEREST

Both models are water resistant to 200 metres, making them the most water-resistant timepieces in NORQAIN’s entire collection.

All three timepieces are equipped with NORQAIN’s Manufacture Calibre NN20/1, visible through the sapphire glass caseback.

NORQAIN ADVENTURE NEVEREST

The COSC-certified automatic movement has a power reserve of 70 hours. The sturdy construction featuring a traversing bridge with two-point fixation ensures the timekeeping performance will not be hindered by powerful activity.

The exclusivity of the movement is confirmed by the engraving of the brand’s core values – “Adventure – Freedom – Independence” –on the bridge and the recognisable “double N” logo engraved on the oscillating weight. The launch of its Manufacture Calibres in February 2020 marked an important milestone for the family-owned brand.

NORQAIN also offers four-year international warranty, which can be extended to five years when the customer joins the NORQAINER Club within one month of their purchase.

NORQAIN – Independence 21 Limited Edition & Independence 21 DLC Skeleton Limited Edition

Swiss watch brand NORQAIN presents two new timepieces from its Independence series.

The Independence 20 model launched last year – the first NORQAIN timepiece to be fitted with the brand’s Manufacture Calibre – was limited to 200 pieces worldwide and sold out in just a few days. This new Independence 21 model follows the path of its predecessor but stands apart with an attractive midnight blue dial.

With its unique scratched pattern and remarkable chronometer-certified movement featuring a 70-hour power reserve, this model is poised to be among the brand’s bestsellers. In addition to this timepiece, NORQAIN is launching a skeletonised model that demonstrates the brand’s passion for horlogerie without straying from its values and adventurous DNA.

NORQAIN Independence 21 Limited Edition

Every single model of this Independence 21 timepiece is one of a kind. Each one of the 200 midnight blue dials is brushed by hand, which results in a unique scratched pattern that cannot be duplicated – no two pieces are alike. However, the exceptional timekeeping quality of each watch is the same, thanks to the Manufacture Calibre NN20/1 with 70-hour power reserve.

NORQAIN Independence 21 Limited Edition

This movement is visible through the scratch-proof sapphire glass caseback. Produced in collaboration with movement manufacturer Kenissi, which was founded by watch brand Tudor, the NN20/1 is stylishly decorated with NORQAIN touches such as the golden “double-N” logo – symbolising the Swiss Alps – and the brand’s core values engraved on the bridge as “Adventure – Freedom – Independence.”

NORQAIN Independence 21 Limited Edition

The calibre NN20/1 exceeds industry standards and has been issued COSC certification. Its sturdy construction features a traversing bridge with two-point fixation that ensures the timekeeping performance will not be hindered by powerful activity. When the customer registers to join the NORQAINER Club within one month after their purchase, they will receive an additional year of warranty for a total of five years.

NORQAIN Independence 21 Limited Edition

A box-shaped scratch-proof sapphire glass protects the midnight blue dial, which has an outstanding black inner bezel. The hand-applied facetted and polished hour, minute and seconds hands are coated in C1 Superluminova, as are the 12 indexes around the dial.

Demonstrating NORQAIN’s watchmaking mastery is the 42 mm stainless steel case which is decorated with three different finishes. The brushed, polished and sandblasted finishes give the case a dynamic and elegant appearance.

NORQAIN Independence 21 Limited Edition

“ONE OF 200” is engraved on the caseback to confirm the exclusivity of this mechanical timepiece and the NORQAIN Plate on the left side of the case can be customised with a message or word to live by.

The watch is presented on a brushed and polished stainless steel bracelet (USD 3,290.00) or an integrated high-quality black leather strap (USD 3,110.00).

NORQAIN Independence 21 DLC Skeleton Limited Edition

It is the first NORQAIN timepiece with a skeletonised movement. Underscoring its exclusivity, only 100 pieces of this impressive timepiece will be produced.

The unique design of the skeletonised movement is based on the architecture principles of beam construction: each support point is held by at least two arms. In traditional skeletonised movements, the arms are not straight and there is often only one arm per support point.

NORQAIN Independence 21 DLC Skeleton Limited Edition

Thanks to the unconventional design of the Sellita SW200-1 S skeletonised movement, it always remains rigid and offers exceptional shock resistance and a high level of robustness, which distinguishes it from other skeletonised creations.

NORQAIN Independence 21 DLC Skeleton Limited Edition

The lack of dial gives the wearer and admirers a clear view into the heart of the timepiece where the components of the movement in a metallic ruthenium colour are responsible for its eye-catching design. The NORQAIN logo is on the scratch-proof sapphire glass and the “Chronometer” designation is on the ring, allowing for more of the skeletonized movement to be seen.

NORQAIN Independence 21 DLC Skeleton Limited Edition

The case, bezel, NORQAIN Plate and bracelet are fashioned from stainless steel with a DLC coating (USD 4,360.00). This is the first time the brand introduces a bracelet with DLC coating.

The complex and detailed finishings – brushed, polished and sandblasted – are visible on the 42 mm case. The watch can also be worn with an integrated black leather strap for a more casual look (USD 3,990.00).

The novelties that will house these exclusive Manufacture Calibres will be presented at an event hosted by NORQAIN in Zermatt this June. The timepieces will be part of NORQAIN’s standard collections, complementing the existing pieces in all the three lines: Adventure, Freedom and Independence. As with the timepieces that make up the brand’s current collections, the new models will also feature customisable details such as the acclaimed NORQAIN plate and strap options.

The launch of two Manufacture Calibres and the strategic partnership with Kenissi is an example of NORQAIN putting its values of innovation and quality and its daring spirit into action, and more announcements can be expected as a result of their long-term collaboration.

NORQAIN

NORQAIN is a fully independent, family-owned Swiss watch company located in Nidau (Bienne) in the heart of the Swiss watch industry.

NORQAIN was founded by Ben Küffer, who belongs to a traditional watch making family that has been producing Swiss Made watches in the Bernese Jura, the centre of the art of watchmaking for more than 4 decades. With this young and independent, family owned watch brand, the founders unite original Swiss values of quality; reliability and trust have been deeply rooted for generations.

The Chairman of the Board, Marc Küffer, has more than 45 years of experience in the manufacturing of Swiss luxury watches. He was also a member of the Board of the Swiss Watch Industry Association for more than 25 years. Ted Schneider, the son of the watch legend Théodore Schneider is also a member of the Board of Directors. Mark Streit, a Swiss ice hockey legend and Stanley Cup winner, is also part of the management team and board.

NORQAIN stands for high-quality Swiss made watches. The three collections – Adventure, Freedom and Independence which are available for men and women – are exclusively equipped with mechanical automatic movements.

A NORQAIN is a watch produced in Switzerland with a strong design and a striking uniqueness. Every timepiece is handcrafted with unconditional attention to detail. The models of the three collections are in a price range of CHF 1500.00 – CHF 4500.00.-.

The Adventure Sport collection by NORQAIN is a Swiss Made watch line with a sporty and strong character. The distinctive “NORQAIN pattern” on all the dials, the knurled bezel and the accentuated self-confidence of this watch make it unmistakable.

The Freedom 60 collection is inspired by the 60s.The characteristics of this collection are the incredibly beautiful design elements – starting with the vintage straps with the unique “NORQAIN stitches”, followed by the box type glass with its origin in the 60s and the reduced dial with hand – applied indexes.

The exclusive Independence collection is for independent, nonconformist and successful people who aren’t afraid of their flaws and live in the moment. The chronometer certified model for both ladies and gents is available as a limited edition released only once a year. The collection will be presented at Basel-world 2019.

A special feature of the brand’s watch collection is the distinctive NORQAIN plate, which can always be found on the left side of the case of all models. This plate can be engraved with your own personal message.

Presently, NORQAIN collections are available for purchase at leading Swiss retailers and with independent family-owned companies like Spinnler & Schweizer, Sonderegger, Galli, Michaud (Neuenburg & Verbier), Zegg, Ruckli and Stäuble. On 24th January 2019, Mark Streit launched the brand in the US and Canada during the NHL All Star Game in San José. Until the end of 2019 NORQAIN will be available at over 50 retailers worldwide and will present an interesting e-Commerce strategy where all sales incorporate the dealer network.
