Longines Elegant Collection

The new generation timepieces from Longines’ Elegant Collection spotlight stripped down design and innovative materials.

Offering a subtle balance between their conspicuously simple aesthetic and their high-tech movement, these automatic wristwatches are also available with a strap in vegetable material, a first for the winged-hourglass brand.

Longines Elegant Collection

The modern elegance of these new watches is also combined with straps in vegetable material, a first for Longines, in taupe or black. As a responsible alternative, the exterior of the loop is composed of a new innovative material made from recycled apple waste. The interior is made of recycled corn rubber.

Innovative and long-lasting, this vegetable material has the same qualities as leather with respect to how it feels to the touch, how comfortable it is to wear and how good it looks, and also offers a similar lifespan.

Longines Elegant Collection

These new watches can also be worn on a stainless steel bracelet. There is also a bicolour version with case and bracelet combining steel and rose gold plate.

Available in 34.50 mm and 39.00 mm diameters, The Longines Elegant Collection offers a selection of dials: matt white with painted Roman numerals, brushed silver with diamond hour markers or white mother-of-pearl with diamond hour markers.

Longines Elegant Collection

Effortlessly combining genres, The Longines Elegant Collection celebrates pure minimalist elegance while still honouring the Longines watchmaking tradition.

These new pieces in The Longines Elegant Collection offer a clever contrast between their stripped-down aesthetic and the new-generation movement that drives them. Longines has completely rethought this collection that pays tribute to the elegance that is the brand’s DNA.

Longines Elegant Collection 2022

The Roman numerals and all the other elements that compose the dial have been completely redesigned to offer a pure, contemporary design.

Longines Elegant Collection

Even the movement that drives these new pieces has been pressed into the service of this minimalist style. Its large distance between centres enables the counter of the seconds subdial to be shifted away from the central axis, further accentuating the harmony and character of the new Longines Elegant watches.

Longines Elegant Collection

The self-winding mechanical calibre (L891.5) developed exclusively for Longines is fitted with a balance-spring made of silicon, a lightweight material resistant to corrosion, ordinary temperature fluctuations and magnetic fields, making possible the offer of a 5-year warranty on all the pieces in The Longines Elegant Collection.

Longines Spirit Zulu Time

Equipped with multiple time zones, the Longines Spirit Zulu Time is a continuation of the renowned Swiss watch brand’s precision instruments worn by the world’s greatest pioneers on their legendary exploits. Its origins and its name come from the first Longines dual-time zone wristwatch manufactured in 1925, which featured the Zulu flag on its dial – Zulu referring to the letter “Z” which designates universal time for aviators and members of the armed forces. An exclusive new Longines in-house calibre with a silicon balance-spring drives the time zone display.

Longines Spirit Zulu Time

A modern technology allows the hour hand to be adjusted independently of the GMT indicator. Additional time zones are read using a 24 hour hand and a bidirectional rotating bezel, also graduated over 24 hours. Extremely accurate with a power reserve of 72 hours, this new movement is chronometer-certified by the COSC (the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute), in a nod to the five stars stamped on the dial which, in the history of Longines, was a guarantee of a movement of the highest quality.

Longines Spirit Zulu Time

Aesthetically, the Longines Spirit Zulu Time stands out with its meticulous execution and the particular care given to the various finishes on the details – whether shiny, matt, polished, in relief or embossed. This model features a bezel enhanced with a coloured ceramic insert, and is available on a matt black, sandblasted anthracite or sunray blue dial, with a date window now centred at the 6 o’clock position. Its hands and numerals, coated with Super-LumiNova®, enable the time to be read under all circumstances.

Longines Spirit Zulu Time

The 42 mm steel case has an interchangeable stainless steel bracelet or an interchangeable brown, beige or blue leather strap. These straps all have a folding clasp fitted with a new fine adjustment system for maximum comfort and a perfect fit.

Longines Spirit Zulu Time

The Longines Spirit Zulu Time takes reference at the first Longines wristwatch to indicate a second time zone: the model Zulu Time of 1925 with its typical Z-flag on the dial. Z stands for Zulu Time, the universal time format – used historically and today – in aviation and military.

Longines Spirit Zulu Time

Longines has more than 100 years of expertise in the development of timepieces indicating different time zones. The brand watchmakers introduced the first Longines pocket watch indicating two time zones in 1908, built for the Ottoman Empire (today Turkey). This watch operated with double hands to indicate the hours and minutes, thus enabling to indicate Turkish time and French time on the same dial. Longines filed a patent for this technique in 1911 (“Montre turque à deux tours d’heures“), followed by a second patent in 1918 (“Montre à double cadran”).

Longines Spirit Zulu Time

In 1931, Longines developed a special cockpit clock, delivered to pioneering American pilot Clyde Pangborn, the first pilot to fly nonstop from Japan to USA. This special instrument was equipped with double hands to indicate hours and minutes, and two concentric 24-hoursdials.

In this family of cockpit clocks we find a bit later as well a watch with two 12-hour dials, again with double hands. For the wrist of pilots Longines modified in 1933 a large 47mm-Weems watch with a double set of hour and minute hands.

Longines evidenza Automatic New Models with Sea Green and Silver Dials

Longines has expanded its “Art Deco” inspired evidenza watch collection by unveiling a new ladies’ automatic model with new sea green or silver dials, plus matching leather straps and a supple steel bracelet.

Longines evidenza Automatic New Models with Sea Green and Silver Dials

The sea green and silver colours respectively evoke sea spray and the open sea. The differentiated treatment of the dials is the signature of this special 2021 version: matt in the centre – with a reprise of the typical “tonneau”-shaped case – and sun ray on the outside.

Longines evidenza Automatic New Models with Sea Green and Silver Dials

The dials thus acquire another dimension, enhanced by the hour circle painted with slender, elongated Roman numerals. The crown is adorned with a blue aluminium ring that gives the case a rhythm that is visually fresh.

Longines Spirit Titanium

Introduced as a fitting tribute to the world of aviation, the Longines Spirit watch is now available in titanium, featuring satin-polished case, sandblasted anthracite dial and satin black flange.

Longines Spirit Titanium

The Grade 5 titanium is lighter and more hard-wearing than steel. Slightly darker than steel and more matt, this material gives these new timepieces a contemporary look.

Longines Spirit Titanium

The combination of strong, sleek aesthetic and modern technology gives the Longines Spirit Titanium watch models outstanding temperament.

Longines Spirit Titanium

The Longines Spirit automatic watch plays on the contrasts between dark hues and a subtle gleam. The hands, numerals, stars and hourglass have subdued glints of gold (1N), for a perfect balance of colours and materials. This equilibrium, enhanced by the absence of a date window, further accentuates the watch’s aeronautical symmetry. Its hands and numerals are embedded with “Blue Line” Super- Luminova®.

Longines Spirit Titanium

The Longines Spirit is equipped with an automatic movement with a silicon balance-spring, which is light, nonmagnetic, hard-wearing, stainless and impervious to thermal expansion. All these characteristics enable the models in this collection to be classified as chronometers certified by the COSC (Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute).

The five stars stamped on the dial which, in the history of Longines, were synonymous with maximum quality and reliability. A 5-year warranty also proves the exceptional character of this line.

The new Longines Spirit watch is available with an interchangeable titanium bracelet (ref. L3.810.1.53.2/6) with satin-polished finish or a NATO type nylon strap (ref. L3.811.1.53.2/6).

Longines DolceVita New Models

Swiss watch brand Longines expands its DolceVita collection by adding a new model featuring a sectorised dial typical of the Art Deco period.

Longines DolceVita New Models 2021

Inspired by a model from the 1920s and characterised by a rectangular case, this line offers an extensive range of men’s and women’s timepieces in an ode to the Italian “dolce vita”. Longines continually develops its DolceVita range of variations, like so many different ways of living and expressing la dolce vita.

Longines DolceVita New Models 2021

This year, the collection takes on a new sectorised dial characteristic of the Art Deco style. Asserting a subtle balance of silver tones, it is distinctive for its hour-circle adorned with Arabic numerals and long, fine hands, as well as cross hairs at the centre of the dial. This dial, characterised by its simplicity, completes the men’s models of this line.

Longines DolceVita New Models

Longines Silver Arrow

Swiss luxury watch brand Longines presents SILVER ARROW, a modern interpretation of an iconic 1950s timepiece, which was inspired from the world of race cars and supersonic aeroplanes.

Longines Silver Arrow

In 1955, Longines held an in-house contest to find the name for a new timepiece with an avant-garde design. A name emerged that was based on one of the 450 proposals: “Silver Arrow”, a reference to the famous sports cars that dominated the racing circuits of the era. The first “Silver Arrow” was released by the Longines factory in 1956. At the time, each of the brand’s collections bore an emblem. The “Silver Arrow” symbol was a supersonic plane flying through the stars.

Longines Silver Arrow

Today, Longines brings the model back to life with the new LONGINES SILVER ARROW. This timepiece, characteristic of the watches of the 1950s, shows an understated elegance and distinctive silhouette, and is powered by cutting-edge watchmaking technology.

Longines Silver Arrow

The LONGINES SILVER ARROW has a 38.50mm steel case which contains a self-winding mechanical movement (L888.5) with a silicon balance-spring to ensure high-precision accuracy and enhanced resistance to magnetic fields. To prove its reliability, this new timepiece comes with a five-year warranty.

Longines Silver Arrow

Resolutely minimalist, its silver opaline dial features striated indexes – like the original version – and sword-shaped hands, and both of these features are coated with Super- LumiNova®. The absence of a date display and of a “self-winding” indication contributes to its understated character while maintaining the spirit of the original timepiece.

This timepiece features a box-shaped sapphire glass with a multi-layered anti-reflective finish, as well as a screw-down back engraved with the “Silver Arrow” emblem.

Longines Heritage Military Marine Nationale

With its cognac leather strap and golden oplaine dial, The Longines Heritage Military Marine Nationale respects the design of its original model, while meeting today’s aesthetic and technical requirements. Longines Heritage Military Marine Nationale

Like the original timepiece, the case-back of the current version is screwed. The new timepiece features a domed sapphire crystal box type glass. The lightly grained golden beige dial features super-LumiNova coated Arabic numeral hour markers and brown super-LumiNova embedded blued-steel hands.

The new Longines Heritage Class Tuxedo timepieces celebrate the carefree spirit of the 1940s. The Heritage Classic Tuxedo is available in two interpretations: a 3-hand model and a chronograph model.

Longines Heritage Class Tuxedo

As the name suggests, these timepieces take their design inspiration from the tuxedo suits. To design these new models, Longines has chosen the aesthetics styles of historic timepieces introduced in the late 1940s. The contrast of black and white on their dial is a nod to the tuxedo suits.

Longines presents the Longines Prize for Elegance to French gymnast Melanie de Jesus dos Santos and American gymnast Samuel Mikulak at 49th Artistic Gymnastics World Championships

On 13 Oct 2019, as the Official Partner and Official Timekeeper of the 49th Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in Stuttgart (GER), Longines honoured French gymnast Melanie de Jesus dos Santos and American gymnast Samuel Mikulak with the ultimate prize outside of competition: the Longines Prize for Elegance.

All participants in the individual men and women allaround finals held respectively on Thursday 10 October and Friday 11 October were nominated for this elegant contest. The winners impressed the whole jury beyond technical considerations for the grace, beauty, harmony and above all, the elegance of their performance, a value cherished by Longines. They both received elegant Longines timepieces, as well as a trophy and a cheque.

Longines presents the Longines Prize for Elegance to French gymnast Melanie de Jesus dos Santos and American gymnast Samuel Mikulak at 49th Artistic Gymnastics World Championships

In Stuttgart, the jury of the Longines Prize for Elegance comprised Rainer Eckert, Brand Manager Longines Germany, Morinari Watanabe, President of the International Gymnastics Federation, Catalina Ponor and Fabian Hambuechen, Women’s and Men’s Artistic Ambassadors for the 2019 Artistic Gymnastics World Championships. The jury’s individual assessments were combined to form a collective judgement reflecting a perceptive and balanced evaluation of the gymnasts’ performances.

Besides, Longines was delighted to support its Ambassador of Elegance, Swiss gymnast Giulia Steingruber. She finished eighteen among the world’s best Artistic gymnasts in the individual All-around Final.

Last but not least, she was seen wearing the Official Watch of the event, a model from the Conquest Classic collection featuring a white mother-of-pearl dial adorned with diamond indexes. This line skillfully combines modernity with the refinement that defines the brand. Elegant and sleek, this latest creation is both feminine and boldly contemporary.

Longines Heritage Classic, New Model Inspired by the Design of a 1930s Watch

With a streamlined design, the new Longines Heritage Classic perfectly respects the 1930s spirit of the piece that inspired it. In particular, it reflects the aesthetic with its sector dial and a subtle balance of colors and lines. Its silvered opaline disk glows, emphasizing the fine blued steel hands which stand out at its center.

The hour circle, adorned with Arabic numerals and hour markers, appears on a satin finished silvered disk. A fine edge, also in silvered opaline, surrounds the hours. Another significant detail of the dial is the small seconds counter rendered in striated silvered opaline, characterized by its size and remarkable position, which remains faithful to the original model.

This new Longines Heritage Classic timepiece is driven by a new, exclusive calibre (L893.5), and features a silicon balance spring. This self-winding mechanical movement, developed especially for the pieces of the Heritage line, enables the small seconds display to be located under the central axis for a design that is even closer to that of the historical pieces. The watch is also distinctive for the diameter of its stainless steel case: 38.50 mm, a contemporary dimension that reflects the elegant pieces of the 1930s.

To perfect this exceptional model, a blue or semi matte black leather strap with beige overstitching adorns the case. These two variations are joined by a denim-effect leather NATO strap of on anthracite or blue color. A tool provided with each model makes it possible to easily interchange these straps on a whim.

Hampton Classic Official Timekeeper Longines Presents Timepieces to Prize Winners

Swiss watchmaker Longines returned as the Official Partner and Timekeeper of the Hampton Classic Horse Show, which was held in Bridgehampton, New York from August 25 to September 1. Longines also named a model from the New Conquest Classic collection the Official Watch of the Hampton Classic. The precision and elegance of this Swiss timepiece are qualities shared by the premier jumping riders who competed throughout the event.

Longines presented elegant watches to winners in ceremonies honoring their distinguished performances in the Longines Rider Challenge, the Longines Cup, and the Grand Prix. The $30,000 Longines Leading Rider Challenge prize was awarded to Ireland’s Shane Sweetnam, who accumulated the most points in the Open Jumper classes to take the prize for his third time.

His strong performance riding Kirschwasser SCF also helped Sweetnam claim victory in the $75,000 Longines Cup once again. Canada’s Mario Deslauriers riding Bardolina took the Grand Prix prize, beating out his daughter Lucy Deslauriers to take the win.

Now in its 44th year, the Hampton Classic has become a fixture of the New York City social calendar, attended by more than 3,000 VIP guests, including high-profile celebrities and socialites, who sip, stroll, and spectate throughout the extravagant event while enjoying the exceptional display of horsemanship throughout the weekend’s biggest competitions at six different competition rings. Nearly 50,000 spectators attended the extravagant 2019 Hampton Classic event, presented with Official Partner and Timekeeper Longines.

The legacy Swiss watchmaker’s equestrian sports timing activities began in the 1860s, when Longines first produced a watch engraved with a horse head, followed by a chronograph engraved with a horse and his jockey in the 1880s, which was widely adopted by American race enthusiasts and officials, starting in New York. Today, Longines clocks all the official race times at Belmont for the season and traditionally presents Longines timepieces to the winning jockeys, owners, and race teams of the Belmont Stakes.

Today, Longines is the Top Partner and Official Timekeeper of the FEI (Fédération Equestre Internationale) associating with top-level competitions such as the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ and the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ – including the North American League, the 17-stage Longines Global Champions Tour, as well as the Longines Masters.

Longines is also the Official Timekeeper of the Longines Kentucky Oaks and the Kentucky Derby and clocks all the official race times at Belmont for the season and traditionally presents Longines timepieces to the winning jockeys, owners, and race teams of the Belmont Stakes.

The new Conquest Classic collection was the Official Watch of the 2019 Hampton Classic. The Conquest Classic by Longines skillfully combines modernity with the refinement that defines the brand. Perfectly suited for the women of today, it remains faithful to the brand’s iconic elegance, while offering bold, feminine, and contemporary styling with new dials that mix mother-of-pearl, diamonds, and touches of pink.

Available in two sizes (29.50 mm and 34 mm in diameter) and with select models featuring diamonds, the steel case of the new Conquest Classic houses a quartz movement. The collection offers five different dials – sunray blue, sunray black, sunray silver, white mother-of-pearl or black mother-of-pearl – on which pink or rhodium-plated hands revolve. Pink indexes or diamonds complete the dial of this timepiece, while its steel bracelet lends it further finesse and refinement.

Longines Master Moonphase

A symbol of Longines’ watchmaking expertise, The Longines Master Collection perfectly embodies the values of excellence and elegance that have contributed to building the brand’s reputation across the world.

Since this line of models, all powered by mechanical movements, was created in 2005, it has over the years added new variations and sophisticated features that showcase the watchmaking tradition so dear to the brand.

Today, Longines introduces new models featuring a moon phase indicator at 6 o’clock circled by an Arabic numeral date ring on which a hand points to the current day. The mechanism is powered by a new movement developed exclusively for the brand – the L899 calibre.

In its eternal quest for elegance, Longines has designed a sleek dial for these new pieces combined with timeless design, thus creating a subdued and harmonious aesthetic.

Available in two sizes (40 and 42 mm in diameter), the new models of The Longines Master Collection are available in a range of different dials: black barleycorn with painted Roman numerals, silvered barleycorn with painted Arabic numerals or blue sunray with applied indexes.

The 40 mm version is also available in a version with diamond indexes for a refined result. The new models of The Longines Master Collection are offered with either a stainless steel braceletor a black, brown or blue strap to match the different dial colours.

Longines Legend Diver Watch 36 mm

A reimagined version of a 1960s diving watch, The Longines Legend Diver Watch features prominently in the brand’s Heritage line. An icon of the Saint-Imier company’s watchmaking and aesthetic know-how, this timepiece is now available in 36 mm models. Longines thus gives rise to a range of new creations that will adorn the wrists of women and men in search of authenticity or fans of the vintage look.

As with the previous models in this range, the new variations maintain the spirit and clean lines of the original piece, while adopting modern technical features. Colourful creations or faithful replicas of the 1960s timepiece, these new versions will undoubtedly perpetuate the history of a legendary watch.

The new Longines Legend Diver Watch models house a self-winding movement in their 36 mm steel case. Topped by a domed sapphire crystal, the dial is offered in many iterations from shimmering white mother-of-pearl, to a more classic brown or its original black colour. Polished rhodium-plated hands coated with Super-LumiNova® repeat the chorus of time.
