Longines evidenza Automatic New Models with Sea Green and Silver Dials

Longines has expanded its “Art Deco” inspired evidenza watch collection by unveiling a new ladies’ automatic model with new sea green or silver dials, plus matching leather straps and a supple steel bracelet.

Longines evidenza Automatic New Models with Sea Green and Silver Dials

The sea green and silver colours respectively evoke sea spray and the open sea. The differentiated treatment of the dials is the signature of this special 2021 version: matt in the centre – with a reprise of the typical “tonneau”-shaped case – and sun ray on the outside.

Longines evidenza Automatic New Models with Sea Green and Silver Dials

The dials thus acquire another dimension, enhanced by the hour circle painted with slender, elongated Roman numerals. The crown is adorned with a blue aluminium ring that gives the case a rhythm that is visually fresh.

Finally, the Longines evidenza comes with sea green and blue leather straps, with the additional option of a supple steel bracelet with triple-security folding clasp.

Longines Spirit Titanium

Introduced as a fitting tribute to the world of aviation, the Longines Spirit watch is now available in titanium, featuring satin-polished case, sandblasted anthracite dial and satin black flange.

Longines Spirit Titanium

The Grade 5 titanium is lighter and more hard-wearing than steel. Slightly darker than steel and more matt, this material gives these new timepieces a contemporary look.

Longines Spirit Titanium

The combination of strong, sleek aesthetic and modern technology gives the Longines Spirit Titanium watch models outstanding temperament.

Longines Spirit Titanium

The Longines Spirit automatic watch plays on the contrasts between dark hues and a subtle gleam. The hands, numerals, stars and hourglass have subdued glints of gold (1N), for a perfect balance of colours and materials. This equilibrium, enhanced by the absence of a date window, further accentuates the watch’s aeronautical symmetry. Its hands and numerals are embedded with “Blue Line” Super- Luminova®.

Longines Spirit Titanium

The Longines Spirit is equipped with an automatic movement with a silicon balance-spring, which is light, nonmagnetic, hard-wearing, stainless and impervious to thermal expansion. All these characteristics enable the models in this collection to be classified as chronometers certified by the COSC (Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute).

The five stars stamped on the dial which, in the history of Longines, were synonymous with maximum quality and reliability. A 5-year warranty also proves the exceptional character of this line.

Longines Spirit Titanium watch with bracelet

The new Longines Spirit watch is available with an interchangeable titanium bracelet (ref. L3.810.1.53.2/6) with satin-polished finish or a NATO type nylon strap (ref. L3.811.1.53.2/6).

Longines Spirit Titanium with nylon strap

The nylon strap has been custom-developed using a special weaving technique that reprises the anthracite and black colours of the dial and offers unmatched comfort.

Longines Silver Arrow

Swiss luxury watch brand Longines presents SILVER ARROW, a modern interpretation of an iconic 1950s timepiece, which was inspired from the world of race cars and supersonic aeroplanes.

Longines Silver Arrow

In 1955, Longines held an in-house contest to find the name for a new timepiece with an avant-garde design. A name emerged that was based on one of the 450 proposals: “Silver Arrow”, a reference to the famous sports cars that dominated the racing circuits of the era. The first “Silver Arrow” was released by the Longines factory in 1956. At the time, each of the brand’s collections bore an emblem. The “Silver Arrow” symbol was a supersonic plane flying through the stars.

Longines Silver Arrow

Today, Longines brings the model back to life with the new LONGINES SILVER ARROW. This timepiece, characteristic of the watches of the 1950s, shows an understated elegance and distinctive silhouette, and is powered by cutting-edge watchmaking technology.

Longines Silver Arrow

The LONGINES SILVER ARROW has a 38.50mm steel case which contains a self-winding mechanical movement (L888.5) with a silicon balance-spring to ensure high-precision accuracy and enhanced resistance to magnetic fields. To prove its reliability, this new timepiece comes with a five-year warranty.

Longines Silver Arrow

Resolutely minimalist, its silver opaline dial features striated indexes – like the original version – and sword-shaped hands, and both of these features are coated with Super- LumiNova®. The absence of a date display and of a “self-winding” indication contributes to its understated character while maintaining the spirit of the original timepiece.

This timepiece features a box-shaped sapphire glass with a multi-layered anti-reflective finish, as well as a screw-down back engraved with the “Silver Arrow” emblem.

Longines Heritage Military Marine Nationale

With its cognac leather strap and golden oplaine dial, The Longines Heritage Military Marine Nationale respects the design of its original model, while meeting today’s aesthetic and technical requirements. Longines Heritage Military Marine Nationale
Longines Heritage Military Marine Nationale – Original Model

The original timepiece created for the French Navy features a 33.50 mm diameter case with a robust case and bezel typical of military models. It houses Longines historical 12.68N movement. The Longines Heritage Military Marine Nationale re-edition features a 38.50 mm diameter stainless steel case.

The original timepieces were identified using the letters M. N. for Marine Nationale, engraved on the back of the case. As for the dial, it bore the words “Longines FAB. SUISSE”. For the Avigation Watch Type A-7 1935 timepiece, the brand takes inspiration from a model ordered by the U.S. AIR FORCE in 1935.

Longines Avigation Watch Type A-7 1935 (New Model with Black Dial)

In 2016, Longines introduced the Avigation Watch Type A-7 1935 with a white lacquered dial. This year, the Swiss watch brand welcomes a new variation with a black shifted dial.

Longines Avigation Watch Type A-7 1935 (New Model with Black Dial)

Faithful to the original model, the new variation sets itself apart with its black dial shifted 40º to the right. The particular orientation of the dial allowed pilots to read the indices without having to release the plane’s control yoke.

Inspired by the historical model, the new edition features a large crown with an integrated single chronograph pusher to facilitate the handling of the watch in the air – even when wearing gloves. The fluted crown located at 12 o’ clock enables control of the different chronograph functions: power, stop and reset, by simply pressing the single push-piece.

Longines Avigation Watch Type A-7 1935 (New Model with Black Dial)

The new Longines Avigation Watch Type A-7 1935 watch has a stainless steel case, which measures 41mm diameter. Topped with an AR coated sapphire crystal, the watch hosts a dial inspired by the historic model. The watch also features a solid stainless steel case-back with engravings.

Longines Heritage Class Tuxedo

The new Longines Heritage Class Tuxedo timepieces celebrate the carefree spirit of the 1940s. The Heritage Classic Tuxedo is available in two interpretations: a 3-hand model and a chronograph model.

Longines Heritage Class Tuxedo

As the name suggests, these timepieces take their design inspiration from the tuxedo suits. To design these new models, Longines has chosen the aesthetics styles of historic timepieces introduced in the late 1940s. The contrast of black and white on their dial is a nod to the tuxedo suits.

Longines Heritage Class Tuxedo Three Hands Automatic

To respect the spirit f the original models, Longines has chosen not to add the word “Automatic” on the dials of these new creations. The date window is also omitted for maintaining the historical inspiration.

The three hands model stands out for the aesthetics of its dial, a typical and very popular design from the 1940s. An opaline silver disc surrounded by a sublime matt black circle off thin baton hands covered with Super-LumiNova. The vintage styled dial also boasts a small seconds counter at 6’o clock.

Longines Flagship New Model with Black Dial

Swiss watch brand Longines pays tribute to its historic Flagship collection with a new model that features a black dial and emblematic design from the 1950s.

Longines Flagship New Model with Black Dial

Launched in 1957, the Flagship collection was one of the first lines to be named by Longines. The flagship flies the flag of the commander-in-chief of the fleet. With this resolutely conquering name, the collection would go on to become a crown jewel for the winged hourglass brand from the 1950s onwards. Initially intended for men, these watches also enjoyed great success with female customers.

Longines Flagship New Model with Black Dial

Today, Longines revisits this timeless, unisex design by drawing inspiration from a rare model with a black dial from 1957, which is particularly prized by collectors. Combining technical expertise and elegance, the new all-black Flagship Heritage will appeal to all vintage watch enthusiasts.

Longines presents the Longines Prize for Elegance to French gymnast Melanie de Jesus dos Santos and American gymnast Samuel Mikulak at 49th Artistic Gymnastics World Championships

On 13 Oct 2019, as the Official Partner and Official Timekeeper of the 49th Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in Stuttgart (GER), Longines honoured French gymnast Melanie de Jesus dos Santos and American gymnast Samuel Mikulak with the ultimate prize outside of competition: the Longines Prize for Elegance.

All participants in the individual men and women allaround finals held respectively on Thursday 10 October and Friday 11 October were nominated for this elegant contest. The winners impressed the whole jury beyond technical considerations for the grace, beauty, harmony and above all, the elegance of their performance, a value cherished by Longines. They both received elegant Longines timepieces, as well as a trophy and a cheque.

Longines presents the Longines Prize for Elegance to French gymnast Melanie de Jesus dos Santos and American gymnast Samuel Mikulak at 49th Artistic Gymnastics World Championships

In Stuttgart, the jury of the Longines Prize for Elegance comprised Rainer Eckert, Brand Manager Longines Germany, Morinari Watanabe, President of the International Gymnastics Federation, Catalina Ponor and Fabian Hambuechen, Women’s and Men’s Artistic Ambassadors for the 2019 Artistic Gymnastics World Championships. The jury’s individual assessments were combined to form a collective judgement reflecting a perceptive and balanced evaluation of the gymnasts’ performances.

Besides, Longines was delighted to support its Ambassador of Elegance, Swiss gymnast Giulia Steingruber. She finished eighteen among the world’s best Artistic gymnasts in the individual All-around Final.

Last but not least, she was seen wearing the Official Watch of the event, a model from the Conquest Classic collection featuring a white mother-of-pearl dial adorned with diamond indexes. This line skillfully combines modernity with the refinement that defines the brand. Elegant and sleek, this latest creation is both feminine and boldly contemporary.

Longines Heritage Classic, New Model Inspired by the Design of a 1930s Watch

With a streamlined design, the new Longines Heritage Classic perfectly respects the 1930s spirit of the piece that inspired it. In particular, it reflects the aesthetic with its sector dial and a subtle balance of colors and lines. Its silvered opaline disk glows, emphasizing the fine blued steel hands which stand out at its center.

The hour circle, adorned with Arabic numerals and hour markers, appears on a satin finished silvered disk. A fine edge, also in silvered opaline, surrounds the hours. Another significant detail of the dial is the small seconds counter rendered in striated silvered opaline, characterized by its size and remarkable position, which remains faithful to the original model.

This new Longines Heritage Classic timepiece is driven by a new, exclusive calibre (L893.5), and features a silicon balance spring. This self-winding mechanical movement, developed especially for the pieces of the Heritage line, enables the small seconds display to be located under the central axis for a design that is even closer to that of the historical pieces. The watch is also distinctive for the diameter of its stainless steel case: 38.50 mm, a contemporary dimension that reflects the elegant pieces of the 1930s.

To perfect this exceptional model, a blue or semi matte black leather strap with beige overstitching adorns the case. These two variations are joined by a denim-effect leather NATO strap of on anthracite or blue color. A tool provided with each model makes it possible to easily interchange these straps on a whim.

Now in its 44th year, the Hampton Classic has become a fixture of the New York City social calendar, attended by more than 3,000 VIP guests, including high-profile celebrities and socialites, who sip, stroll, and spectate throughout the extravagant event while enjoying the exceptional display of horsemanship throughout the weekend’s biggest competitions at six different competition rings. Nearly 50,000 spectators attended the extravagant 2019 Hampton Classic event, presented with Official Partner and Timekeeper Longines.

The legacy Swiss watchmaker’s equestrian sports timing activities began in the 1860s, when Longines first produced a watch engraved with a horse head, followed by a chronograph engraved with a horse and his jockey in the 1880s, which was widely adopted by American race enthusiasts and officials, starting in New York. Today, Longines clocks all the official race times at Belmont for the season and traditionally presents Longines timepieces to the winning jockeys, owners, and race teams of the Belmont Stakes.

Today, Longines is the Top Partner and Official Timekeeper of the FEI (Fédération Equestre Internationale) associating with top-level competitions such as the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ and the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ – including the North American League, the 17-stage Longines Global Champions Tour, as well as the Longines Masters.

Longines is also the Official Timekeeper of the Longines Kentucky Oaks and the Kentucky Derby and clocks all the official race times at Belmont for the season and traditionally presents Longines timepieces to the winning jockeys, owners, and race teams of the Belmont Stakes.

The new Conquest Classic collection was the Official Watch of the 2019 Hampton Classic. The Conquest Classic by Longines skillfully combines modernity with the refinement that defines the brand. Perfectly suited for the women of today, it remains faithful to the brand’s iconic elegance, while offering bold, feminine, and contemporary styling with new dials that mix mother-of-pearl, diamonds, and touches of pink.

Available in two sizes (29.50 mm and 34 mm in diameter) and with select models featuring diamonds, the steel case of the new Conquest Classic houses a quartz movement. The collection offers five different dials – sunray blue, sunray black, sunray silver, white mother-of-pearl or black mother-of-pearl – on which pink or rhodium-plated hands revolve. Pink indexes or diamonds complete the dial of this timepiece, while its steel bracelet lends it further finesse and refinement.

Longines Master Moonphase

A symbol of Longines’ watchmaking expertise, The Longines Master Collection perfectly embodies the values of excellence and elegance that have contributed to building the brand’s reputation across the world.

Since this line of models, all powered by mechanical movements, was created in 2005, it has over the years added new variations and sophisticated features that showcase the watchmaking tradition so dear to the brand.

Today, Longines introduces new models featuring a moon phase indicator at 6 o’clock circled by an Arabic numeral date ring on which a hand points to the current day. The mechanism is powered by a new movement developed exclusively for the brand – the L899 calibre.

In its eternal quest for elegance, Longines has designed a sleek dial for these new pieces combined with timeless design, thus creating a subdued and harmonious aesthetic.

Available in two sizes (40 and 42 mm in diameter), the new models of The Longines Master Collection are available in a range of different dials: black barleycorn with painted Roman numerals, silvered barleycorn with painted Arabic numerals or blue sunray with applied indexes.

The 40 mm version is also available in a version with diamond indexes for a refined result. The new models of The Longines Master Collection are offered with either a stainless steel braceletor a black, brown or blue strap to match the different dial colours.

Longines Legend Diver Watch 36 mm

A reimagined version of a 1960s diving watch, The Longines Legend Diver Watch features prominently in the brand’s Heritage line. An icon of the Saint-Imier company’s watchmaking and aesthetic know-how, this timepiece is now available in 36 mm models. Longines thus gives rise to a range of new creations that will adorn the wrists of women and men in search of authenticity or fans of the vintage look.

As with the previous models in this range, the new variations maintain the spirit and clean lines of the original piece, while adopting modern technical features. Colourful creations or faithful replicas of the 1960s timepiece, these new versions will undoubtedly perpetuate the history of a legendary watch.

The new Longines Legend Diver Watch models house a self-winding movement in their 36 mm steel case. Topped by a domed sapphire crystal, the dial is offered in many iterations from shimmering white mother-of-pearl, to a more classic brown or its original black colour. Polished rhodium-plated hands coated with Super-LumiNova® repeat the chorus of time.

As with the model that inspired them, the stamped image of a diver adorns the screwed back of these timepieces.

A Milanese-style steel bracelet subtly emphasizes the simplicity of these watches, while white, brown or black leather straps harmoniously blend with the colours of the dial.

Longines celebrates elegance at Royal Ascot with Chi Ling Lin

This week, the Swiss watch brand Longines celebrates the English sartorial elegance characteristic of the Royal Meeting at Ascot, as the Official Partner, Official Timekeeper, and Official Watch of this prestigious event. On this occasion, the brand welcomed on Wednesday its Ambassador of Elegance, the Asian actress Chin Ling Lin. As the Official Watch of the event, Longines also highlighted models from the Record collection, a line combining classic elegance and watchmaking excellence.

This week, the Ascot racecourse (UK) hosts one of the world’s most anticipated sports events of the year: the Royal Meeting. The Swiss watch brand Longines is honoured to take part in this prestigious horse racing rendezvous as its Official Partner, Official Timekeeper and Official Watch.

On Wednesday, 19 June, Longines invited its Ambassador of Elegance Chi Ling Lin to experience the Royal Meeting’s unique atmosphere. Following the remarkable victory of Dashing Willoughby in the Queen’s Vase race, the acclaimed Asian actress, together with Longines Vice President Richard Strohmeier, presented elegant timepieces to the winning owners (Mick and Janice Mariscotti), trainer (Andrew Balding), jockey(Oisin Murphy), and groom (Angela Cheshire).

Later on that day, the owner (Sir Evelyn and Lady Lynn De Rothschild), the trainer’s representative, the jockey (Frankie Dettori) and the groom (Corrado Morale) of Crystal Ocean, the winning horse of the Prince of Wales’ Stakes, also received elegant Longines watches from the hands of Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall.

In line with the refinement of the Royal Meeting, Longines is proud to highlight the Official Watch of Royal Ascot, a steel and gold model from the Record collection. Longines’ passion for the equestrian world dates back to 1869, when the brand produced its first equestrian pocket watch, displaying a proud horse head. A few years later, in 1878, Longines developed a chronograph movement, fitted in a case engraved with a jockey and his mount. Seen on the racetracks as early as 1881, this type of timepieces proved extremely popular among jockeys and horse-lovers, as it enabled its user to time performances to the second. Today, Longines’ involvement in equestrian sports includes flat racing as well as show-jumping, dressage, driving and eventing competitions. Longines chose to support equestrian sports as a perfect illustration of its core values: tradition, elegance and performance.
