LOCMAN ITALY® MONTECRISTO SKELETON PVD

Italian watch brand LOCMAN expands its MONTECRISTO collection by adding a new skeleton timepiece.

LOCMAN introduced the Montecristo Classic watch in 2009. With its strong and identifiable design, this model immediately became popular not only for the Italian watchmaker but also for the collective imagination in terms of sports watches.

In 2019 LOCMAN created a Montecristo Skeleton, made with a steel and titanium case for the grittier version, and with rose gold finishing for the more precious and refined one. Today, the Montecristo Skeleton is further enriched with unmistakable details and presents its most elegant version with the model in PVD Total Black and Total Blue.

LOCMAN MARE 300 METRI

LOCMAN MARE 300 METRI is an automatic diving watch inspired by the Italian watch brand’s connection to the Maritime world.

MARE is Italian for sea and the MARE 300 METRI watch represents the brand’s sporty, aquatic spirit. The three-hand timepiece from the Tuscan watchmaker, whose headquarters overlook the port of Marina di Campo – one of the most famous resorts on the island of Elba – represents an important milestone for LOCMAN’s divers’ watches.

LOCMAN MARE 300 METRI

Water- resistant to 300 metres, this timepiece features a titanium case back secured by four screws, with a visible movement and a crystal with sapphire treatment for increased robustness and transparency. It’s a combination made possible by superior engineering that guarantees the watch’s elevated performance.

LOCMAN MARE 300 METRI

With a 44 mm AISI 316L steel shaped case and screw-down crown, reminiscent of classic diving models thanks to its unidirectional rotating bezel, the watch boasts a strong personality and typical Locman design. The Italian flag, positioned at 6 o’clock, provides continuity and reaffirms the brand’s strong identity.

LOCMAN MARE 300 METRI

The Mare collection is available in four versions whose colours recall those of the oceans. Three steel watches feature ombré dials that echo the shades of water, with full colour giving way – at 6 o’clock – to lighter shades. Black becomes anthracite grey, deep blue fades into a more transparent shade and bright green softens into a light green. The steel model with a Rose Gold PVD coating, however, presents a solid black dial.

LOCMAN MARE 300 METRI

The self-winding Mare 300 Metri has a stainless steel bracelet. It’s an extremely technical bracelet, perfectly integrated with the case, which enhances the watch’s sporty feel as well as its diving concept. The timepiece is also available with a vegetable-tinted silicone strap.

LOCMAN Stealth 300 Metres Carbon Chronograph

Italian watch brand LOCMAN enriches its collection of Super-technical diver’s watches by presenting the new Stealth 300 metres Carbon, a chronograph featuring an all-carbon case and dial.

LOCMAN achieved a world first in 2003 by launching the world’s first watch with a carbon fibre case, accomplishing an authentic revolution: high-tech materials made their grand entrance into the watchmaking world, radically changing its technical and aesthetic characteristics as well as its production techniques. LOCMAN has consistently pursued this path, steadily investing its resources in research and new technologies. The Scuola Italiana di Orologeria (S.I.O.), the company’s in-house academy, devotes part of its facilities to the study of new materials, yielding significant results.

In 2009, LOCMAN launched the Stealth collection, a line of watches with high technical content inspired by the famous military aircraft that are invisible to radars. The construction dynamics, the materials and the designs used to produce these planes share a number of common denominators with the LOCMAN collection.

In 2014, LOCMAN launched the super-technical professional diver’s watch collection by presenting the Stealth 300 Metres Automatic, powered by a mechanical self-winding movement developed by the S.I.O.

2015 was the year of the Stealth 300 Metres Carbon Automatic with an impressive forged carbon case, carbon fibre dial, titanium case-back and with a mechanical self-winding movement. Now, after the launch of the Stealth 300 Metres chronograph in steel, the Elba-based watch company is rounding off the collection by presenting the Stealth 300 Metres Carbon Chronograph featuring an impressive forged carbon case, carbon fibre dial and titanium case-back.

Stealth 300 Metres, the much appreciated LOCMAN diver’s watch, now reaches the top of the range with an even more high-performing, resistant and extremely light chronograph. The screw-down pushers prevent accidental handling and are fitted with double silicon O-ring seals.

Flaunting a generous 46 mm diameter, the case of the Stealth 300 Metres Carbon Chronograph houses a high-quality Ronda quartz movement equipped with the split-time function serving to measure intermediate times, such as two phenomena that begin at the same time but subsequently involve different time periods.

The lightness of carbon also enhances the wearability of this timepiece which, alongside its professional usage, is also perfectly suitable for everyday life. Stealth 300 Metres is not intended exclusively for passionate diving enthusiasts and professionals, but also for a public with a keen eye for styles and trends that recognises the urban beauty of this watch. The quintessential designs and the material contrasts between the forged carbon of the dial and the carbon fibre dial infuse this watch with a very distinctive appeal. The splendid veined pattern of forged carbon varies in every watch, making each Stealth 300 Metres Carbon Chronograph a truly one-of-a-kind piece.

The sturdy 60-minute unidirectional rotating bezel is made of ABS, an innovative thermoplastic polymer that is also extremely light and yet resistant to shocks, pressure and above all to variations in temperature. Featuring a knurled pattern that ensures a better grip during dives, the bezel is intended to guarantee the smoothest and most stable possible clicking. The broad dial is designed to ensure optimal readability even in poor visibility conditions thanks to the luminescent treatment applied to the hour-markers as well as the hours and minutes hands.

A magnifying glass is fitted above the date window and the titanium case-back is secured by four screws. The Stealth 300 Metres Carbon Chronograph is teamed with a strap in perforated hypoallergenic silicon or in natural leather.

LOCMAN Stealth 300 Metres Carbon

Italian watch maker LOCMAN boasts a prestigious record: In 2003 the company launched the world’s first watch with a carbon fibre case. It was a watershed moment, when hi-tech materials entered the world of watchmaking and dramatically changed production dynamics. LOCMAN has pursued this path with consistent determination, investing resources in research and new technologies. The Sculoa Italiana di Orologerie (S.I.O., Italian School of Watchmaking), the company’s in-house academy, devotes much of its facilities to the study of new materials.

This year, LOCMAN previews its Stealth 300 Metres Carbon, with all-carbon dial and case. Stealth 300 Metri, LOCMAN’s extremely popular diving watch, becomes even more efficient and resistant to shocks and atmospheric pressure.

The lightness of carbon also favours the wearability of the timepiece, meaning that it lends itself equally well to professional and everyday use. Stealth 300 Metres targets not only diving amateurs and pros, but also consumers attentive to style and trends, who will appreciate its urban appeal. The essential design and contrasting texture of the forged carbon case and the carbon fibre dial make the watch especially eye-catching.

The sturdy unidirectional 60-minute bezel is made of ABS, an innovative thermoplastic material that is ultra-light but nonetheless resistant to pressure and, above all, to temperature changes. Adorned with a knurled faceted pattern that ensures a better grip during dives, the bezel was designed to ensure the smoothest and most stable possible clicking.

The large dial is intended to guarantee optimal readability even with poor visibility. The hour and minute hands as well as the hour-markers are luminous thanks to Superluminova treatment, and the date is topped by a magnifying lens. The generously sized 46 mm case of the Stealth 300 Metres houses an S.I.O. Calibre 1 mechanical self-winding movement driving hour, minute, second, and date functions. The titanium case-back is secured by four screws.

Stealth 300 Metres Carbon comes with a perforated hypoallergenic silicon strap or a natural leather strap.

Locman Montecristo Lady

Radiating high-tech refinement, liable to enhance a wide range of contemporary outfits: it is MONTRECRISTO LADY is the feminine version of the iconic watch from LOCMAN ITALY, the watch company headquartered on the Island of Elba.

MONTECRISTO LADY features the same avant-garde lines as the masculine model, but scaled down to fit the daintiest wrists, with a 34 mm-diameter case. The effect is truly surprising: the powerful shapes and high-tech elements of MONTECRISTO, such as the screw-down crown equipped with double O-ring seals ensuring maximum water resistance (down to 100 metres), become even more desirable within this miniaturised version.

In the Diamonds version, the round case is adorned with natural diamond-paved central lugs and  a ‘crown’ of diamonds set on the dial hour-markers. The titanium and steel case is also available with a scratch-resistant PVD coating in golden rose, chocolate, total black, or indigo blue shades. The watch glass, rendered unbreakable by a special scratch-resistant treatment, is fitted with a magnified window just above the date for enhanced read-off.

The dial, which is also available in natural white mother-of-pearl, features stamped numerals and hour-markers. The strap with wrist vents is made of smooth, anti-allergenic, plant-dyed silicon and fitted with a steel folding clasp.

Locman Montecristo Automatic Chronograph

Locman presents Montecristo Self-Winding Chronograph, the first chronograph driven by a mechanical movement developed by the SIO – Italian School of Watchmaking.

For the creation of their first mechanical self-winding chronograph, the SIO – Italian School of Watchmaking, part of the LOCMAN group, was partnered by DePa Swiss Movements, an enterprise of Swiss artisans specialised in movement concept and development.

The SIO – Italian School of Watchmaking was founded by Locman in 2006 with the intention of establishing a research centre and constant monitoring the quality of their watches. Over the years, SIO has certified and also developed the mechanisms of its major collections, partnering with companies for special projects.

For this timepiece Locman has developed a completely reliable, sturdy self-winding module. The engineers also focused on the rotor weights so as to optimise the bidirectional winding stored by the self-winding mechanism for an average of up to about 50 hours. The oscillating weight is enhanced with a bright yellow shade and personalised with the LOCMAN ITALY logo. The calibre reference – SIO/DPch 88 – is indicated on the movement mainplate.

After upgrading the Montecristo’s movement, the SIO engineers went one step further and also revisited the design, giving it some extra competitive edge. The dial features sunray pattern enamelling, the minute counter is placed at 3 o’clock and the small seconds subdial at 9 o’clock, while the tachometric scale – absent in the quartz version – appears around the inner bezel ring of this model.

The AISI 316L steel and titanium case is made of exclusively non-allergenic materials usually found in surgical instruments, and is topped by a flat glass with a special sapphire treatment to give the material a hardness comparable to that of natural sapphire as well as an exponential increase in its transparency. Tested water resistant to 10 atmospheres, the Montecristo Crono case is attached to the silicon or hi-tech Lorica strap by the distinctive triple-bar lugs.

LOCMAN Stealth Professional 300 Metres

Italian watch brand LOCMAN unveils Stealth Professional 300 m dedicated to diving professionals. These are watches tested for dives down to a depth of 300 metres. They represent an important step in the growth of this Elba-based company that was founded almost 30 years ago and has achieved some impressive results, in terms of both case construction design and, more recently, in the field of movement development.

To achieve the best levels of water resistance, SIO (Italian School of Watchmaking founded by LOCMAN in 2006) engineers have worked on all Stealth case components so as to reinforce them.

The Stealth Professional 300 M screw-down crown has been scaled up and fitted with a double silicon O-ring. The watch glass, rendered more transparent by a special sapphire treatment, is now thicker without losing clarity.

The thickness of the 316L surgical steel and ultra-light titanium case has also been increased. The sturdy unidirectional 60-minute bezel is in ABS thermoplastic material, which is innovative, light and ultra-resistant to impacts, pressure and – above all – to temperature variations. Its knurled pattern ensures a better grip during dives and it was designed to ensure the smoothest, most stable clicking possible.

The large dial is intended to ensure optimum readability even in poor visibility: the hands are luminous thanks to Superluminova treatment on the hour-markers and the hour and minute hands. The date is topped by a magnifying lens.

The generously sized 46 mm case of the Stealth Professional 300 M houses a S.I.O. Calibre 1 mechanical self-winding movement driving hour, minute, seconds and date functions. The Stealth Professional 300 M comes with a strap in hypoallergenic black silicon or in natural leather for urban use.

LOCMAN Aviatore Collection (New Versions)

The historical LOCMAN Aviatore collection is making its reappearance with new cases featuring lighter and sleeker lines in PVD treated monochrome interpretations – meaning clothed in a state-of-the-art coating that is ultra-resistant to impacts and wear while creating intense shades of navy blue, chocolate brown or deep black. The enamelled, sunray or carbon fibre dials for models with mechanical movements are distinguished by an even more incisive graphic design.

The entire collection is a tribute to the classic shapes of pilot’s watches and is inspired by the models in use during the early 1940s.

The soft, linear design echoes that of vintage aircraft cockpit instrument panels, while the black, chocolate brown and ivory-toned colours of the dials, straps and cases are typical of military issue equipment.

The construction project developed by the SIO (Italian School of Watch Making, founded by LOCMAN in 2006), meets the demands of reliability and practicality relating to measuring time in flight as well as in the field of sports activities.

The round 44 mm-diameter steel and titanium case, along with the dial featuring large white numerals, guarantee maximum readability. The indexes and hands, apart from the central seconds hand, are coated with superluminova – an innovative luminescent substance totally compatible with the human body, unlike tritium which is generally used for this purpose.

Even the domed protective glass is reminiscent of vintage models, although with a significant difference, since it is rendered scratchproof by an innovative sapphire treatment endowing it with a hardness equivalent to that of natural sapphire. The SIO-certified mechanism features a mechanical self-winding movement also available in a version with a dual-time display.

Aviatore also comes with a quartz mechanism in chronograph and standard watch versions. The straps, secured by steel pin buckles, are made of padded natural leather with contrasting stitching, or in ultra-sturdy biocompatible plant-dyed silicon rubber. All the models are guaranteed water-resistant to a depth of 50 metres.

LOCMAN CHANGE Collection

Fitted with a broad, sturdy and reliable steel case, CHANGE watches from Italian watch brand LOCMAN come with a highly innovative internationally patented feature: the strap may be changed in one smooth move at any time of the day by slipping it in and out of a dedicated slot on the back of the watch that works like a belt loop.

This interchangeable strap system provides a chance to choose a different colour to match a specific outfit or a mood, or else a different material better suited to a given situation and to the changing world around the wearer.

Through the ease and speed of this gesture, CHANGE is revolutionising the modern view of the watch, propelling it from its conventional status as a simple and static timekeeping instrument that is separate from other surrounding objects, to a new role as a truly interactive instrument.

CHANGE watches are sold in an elegant soft leather pouch with a set of natural leather straps in various colours that are perfect for more formal or urban occasions, or an anti-allergenic plant-dyed silicon strap clearly designed for sports activities. The innovative characteristics of CHANGE watches are the focus of a spot AD that LOCMAN has shot on the Island of Elba, where the watch Brand has its own headquarters.

LOCMAN MONTECRISTO PROFESSIONAL

Consistently pursuing its strongly sporting vocation, the MONTRECRISTO watch by LOCMAN appears endowed with avant-garde technical features that guarantee an even higher level of sturdiness and water resistance. Stemming from an in-depth research and development process conducted by the technicians and engineers or the S.I.O., the Scuola Italiana di Orologeria (Italian Watchmaking School) created in 2006, MONTECRISTO PROFESSIONAL is designed for immersion to great depths and for use in extreme sports.

Tested in real-life conditions by a team of professional divers in the waters of the Tuscan Archipelago, where LOCMAN is headquartered, and indeed actually facing the beautiful island after which it is named, MONTECRISTO PROFESSIONAL features a broad steel and titanium case guaranteed water-resistant to 120 metres thanks to a series of avant-garde protective devices for the screw-down crown, the chronograph pushpieces and the case-back secured by four screws.

MONTECRISTO PROFESSIONAL is equipped with either an elaborate mechanical self-winding movement or a quartz-driven chronograph movement. The assembly, adjustment and precision testing of this watch are performed in the LOCMAN laboratories by the technicians and master-watchmakers of the S.I.O.

In developing this mechanical movement, particular attention was devoted to the making of the oscillating weight, a determining element in the efficient automatic winding of the watch: built in a “heavyweight” alloy according to a patented design and coated with a black PVD treatment, the MONTECRISTO oscillating weight ensures perfect rotation when the watch is fitted on the wrist, including during the small movements typical of daily life. The mechanism is visible through a sapphire crystal pane fitted into the case-back.

The steel unidirectional bezel for measuring dive times is notched to ensure a better grip and facilitate adjustment even under water. The eminently readable dial is topped by a flat sapphire crystal with a magnified window positioned just above the date, secured to the case by a nylon gasket. The three-bar lugs connect the case to the steel bracelet or the breathable natural silicon strap with wrist vents. Fitted with a folding clasp, the strap features a device facilitating length adjustment, which avoids the owner needing to have this operation done by a watchmaker or by the company itself.

MONTECRISTO PROFESSIONAL, whether in mechanical self-winding movement or quartz chronograph versions, is also available with an allblack case coated with a deep black thin composite ceramic film: a state-of-the-art treatment that is ultra-resistant to both shocks and wear.
