Jacob & Co. Casino Tourbillon

The new Jacob & Co. Casino Tourbillon watch in rose gold incorporates a classical flying tourbillon complication and a playful roulette mechanism in an elegantly designed 44mm diameter case.

Casino features Jacob & Co.’s first-ever flying tourbillon located caseback-side. This timepiece with an eye-caching black onyx dial stands out with its high-end finishings and sophisticated material details. It also houses a fully functional, free-spinning roulette, complete with 37 pockets and a white ball.

Inspiration: Jacob & Co. Astronomia Casino

In 2019, Jacob & Co. launched Astronomia Casino, one of the most successful versions of the Astronomia series.

As an integral part of the Astronomia collection, it offers a 10-minute rotating platform, a triple-axis tourbillon, a magnesium Earth globe and a spinning 288-facet, Jacob-cut diamond.

Jacob & Co. has managed the design and technical feat of adding a fully working roulette to this already highly functional ensemble. The module which operates that roulette mechanism has been plugged inside the new Casino watch, thus giving it a unique personality.

The Casino case takes its inspiration from the original Roulette timepiece by Jacob & Co., the Astronomia Casino. Yet its dimensions, shape, movement and construction are entirely new and dedicated to this specific piece.

Jacob & Co. Casino Tourbillon

Case

The 44 mm diameter case body in 18K rose gold is thoroughly polished. The caseband is curved, the bezel steep and the sapphire crystal generously domed, all of which creates a single harmonious line.

Jacob & Co. Casino Tourbillion

It’s fitted with four full and wide lugs, whose shape initiates the black alligator strap curve. These angles and this elaborate construction aim at slimming down the Casino profile and make for a more comfortable and ergonomic fit with wrists of all sizes.

One of the attributes Jacob & Co. Casino Tourbillon shares with its forbearer the absence of a crown. Time-setting and winding are both operated with bows placed against the caseback.

The distinct Roulette pusher at 8 o’clock is square and large so as to offer the best finger contact possible. To blend it with the Casino overall case profile, it’s surrounded by a long, crescent-shaped crown guard.

Pusher

This pusher is the heart of the Casino as it operates its signature function, elevated to the rank of an actual watchmaking complication. Casino is a genuine Roulette game.

Once laid out flat on a table, it operates as a fully random game of chance. The pusher propels the wheelhead, complete with 37 pockets, 1 green, 18 red and 18 black. The mechanical construction of this movement part rests on a set of ceramic ball bearings of extremely high quality. The wheelhead spins with high speed and very little friction.

Meanwhile, a white ceramic ball bounces inside Casino. It flies throughout the lower part of the dial and flange, which is fitted with eight diamonds-shaped deflectors.

Dial

The finishings and details of the Jacob & Co. Casino Tourbillon watch set the same tone. The hours and minutes dial is made of a single slab of black onyx, mirror-polished and fitted with applied, 5N gold indices. Their kite-shape is a nod to the kite-cut sapphires, used in several Jacob & Co. creations.

The black PVD flange contains eight diamond-shaped deflectors, which aim at rising the variance level of the roulette game. The wheeltrack flange, that small wall at the foot of the upper side of the dial, is mirror polished, like on an actual roulette, and leaves a small space between the dial and the sapphire crystal.

A space large enough for the entire dial and wheeltrack to act as one continuous ensemble, but small enough for the ball to stay down and end up in one of the 37 pockets.

Movement

The manual-winding Cal. JCAM51 is an entirely new movement with a power reserve of 72 hours. The Roulette module rests on a last generation base calibre. It’s regulated by a flying tourbillon located on the back side of the case.

Its carriage ushers in a new Jacob & Co. design as its arms are engraved and lacquered in the exact same way as the wheelhead. This black and red pattern is also laid out on two applied plates, screwed on the caseback on either side of the bows acting as winding and time-setting crowns. The numbers appear in the same order as the ones on the opposite side of Casino.

Jacob & Co. Casino Tourbillion

Costing $280,000 each, the Jacob & Co. Casino Tourbillon watch is limited to 101 pieces.

Jacob & Co CR7 Epic X “Flight of CR7” and “Heart of CR7”

Jacob & Co presents a special Epic X watch collection to celebrate its association with world soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo.

Jacob & Co X Cristiano Ronaldo Epic X watch collection

Cementing 20 years of friendship with CR7, Jacob & Co has created a new collection with two inaugural timepieces:

  • The Jacob & Co CR7 Epic X “Flight of CR7”
  • The Jacob & Co CR7 Epic X “Heart of CR7”.

This initial collection will be followed up by new designs.

The first “Flight of CR7” in rose gold whose bezel is set with 26 baguette-cut diamonds, was delivered in person to Cristiano Ronaldo in Lisbon on November 18th, just before he left for the 2022 World Cup held in Qatar.

CR7 Epic X Flight of CR7

Jacob & Co. x Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo is a long-standing and close partner to Jacob & Co. Over the past twenty years. Jacob Arabo met Cristiano Ronaldo when the Madeira-born football player was a promising rising star. They both crafted their success from the ground up, building it through relentless determination and hard work. Through the years, their friendship has grown, extending to a business venture in which Jacob & Co creates timepieces inspired by Cristiano Ronaldo.

Jacob & Co X CR7 Epic X Flight of CR7

The CR7 Epic X collection is a profoundly personalized version of the Epic X. It has all the hallmarks: a 44 mm case with X-shaped lugs, a smooth and polished or diamond-set bezel and a colored crown and flange. It is powered by one of Jacob & Co’s most emblematic calibers, the JCAM45.

Jacob & Co X CR7 Epic X Flight of CR7

Hand-wound, this skeletonized movement offers a striking architecture: its two vertical pillars form the central part of the X-shape initiated by the lugs, whose design inspired the name Epic X.

Jacob & Co X CR7 Epic X Heart of CR7

These two pillars are designed to represent Cristiano Ronaldo and the CR7 brand. The left pillar takes on the shape of Cristiano Ronaldo himself, while the right one bears his logo and his signature, both engraved in bold. The skeleton barrel cover is shaped like a football. Another image of Cristiano Ronaldo himself, wearing his iconic # 7 jersey, is printed on the case back’s tinted sapphire crystal.

Jacob & Co X CR7 Epic X Heart of CR7

The Jacob & Co x Cristiano Ronaldo CR7 Epic X collection debuts with two models:

  • The “Heart of CR7” in stainless steel with the bezel either polished or set with 26 baguette-cut white diamonds, green-accented flange, crown, case back and strap
  • The “Flight of CR7” in rose gold with a polished bezel or one set with 26 baguette-cut white diamonds and rose gold and red accents for the flange, crown, case back and strap.

CR7 Epic X Heart of CR7

Each watch follows a chromatic palette, green for Heart of CR7, red for Flight of CR7 – the colors of the flag of Portugal and those of the national football squad.

Jacob & Co. Astronomia Metaverso NFT Venus

Jacob & Co. has created a horological art piece that is acquired first as a digital asset using the blockchain technology. It is also the first ever “digital native” timepiece competing in the “GPHG” Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève, Jewelry category.

Its NFT allows to redeem a physical timepiece: a white gold, high jewelry, high watchmaking, unique piece interpretation by Jacob & Co. of Venus’ appearance.

Jacob & Co. Astronomia Metaverso NFT Venus

The timepiece created by Jacob & Co. was executed in both realms at the same time, with the same intention: designing a graphic and horological interpretation of the planet Venus as a watch.

An extension of the Astronomia collection, whose original concept is to represent a miniature version of our solar system, the Astronomia Metaverso NFT Venus takes this metaphorical view one step further in all manners of execution.

Both digital and physical assets are unique pieces that will not be repeated. The cutting-edge concept, grounded in both binary and actual worlds, has been recognized by members of the GPHG Academy.

Jacob & Co. Astronomia Metaverso NFT Venus

The Astronomia Metaverso NFT Venus is a new, elaborate version based on Jacob & Co.’s successful Astronomia collection. It comes as 44-mm, polished white gold timepiece with wide sapphire openings on the caseband and openworked lugs.

Under its vast, curved sapphire crystal lies a vertical movement with three arms. One is a flying tourbillon, the other is a rotating 288-facet Jacob-cut gem representing a planet and the third is an hour and minute dial, cut from a slab of red spinel.

Jacob & Co. Astronomia Metaverso NFT Venus
The dome is a three-dimensional, gem-set lattice Jacob & Co. used as a canvas to carry the individual nature of each piece in the collection. In the Astronomia Metaverso NFT Venus case, the open-worked dome is made of yellow gold set with white diamonds, yellow diamonds and pink sapphires.

The digital side of Astronomia Metaverso NFT Venus was created in collaboration with unxd.com, an online platform dedicated to bridging the gap between luxury and digital.

Jacob & Co. Astronomia Metaverso NFT Venus

A customer willing to acquire the Astronomia Metaverso NFT Venus is to make his purchase on unxd.com. They will acquire an NFT, a blockchain-secured certificate that is proof of ownership of the digital Astronomia Metaverso NFT Venus.

This NFT unlocks a set of exclusive experiences designed by Jacob & Co. and which will be privy to the NFT owner only. They include a series of invitations to specific brand events and to meet personally with Jacob Arabo and Ben Arabov. The NFT allows its owner to redeem the physical version of the Astronomia Metaverso NFT Venus directly from a Jacob & Co. boutique.

Jacob & Co. Opera Godfather 50th Anniversary Limited Edition

Jacob & Co. presents a limited edition Opera watch to mark the 50th anniversary of The Godfather, the classic movie that won 3-time Oscar and 5-time Golden Globe.

The Jacob & Co. Opera Godfather 50th Anniversary is a 50-piece limited series, a striking cinematic, graphic and musical recollection of Francis Ford Coppola’s cult classic. This haute-horlogerie creation in 18K white gold incorporates the brand’s emblematic triple-axis flying tourbillon and music box complication.

Jacob & Co. Opera Godfather 50th Anniversary Limited Edition

Only a handful of movies have had as deep and lasting an influence as The Godfather. The Opera Godfather series by Jacob & Co. has been designed and crafted as a tribute to the movie’s unique status in both popular and cinema culture.

The Opera Godfather 50th Anniversary incorporates thirteen greatest scenes, in the same narrative order as in the movie. This graphic synopsis is laser-etched onto the white gold case with an unprecedented level of vividness and quality.

Jacob & Co. Opera Godfather 50th Anniversary Limited Edition

The piece also features the movie’s thirteen most famous quotes, some of which are firmly anchored in popular culture, the most famous being “I’m gonna make him an offer he can’t refuse.”

The Godfather Movie Quotes

This 50-piece limited series is housed in a 49-mm white gold case whose sides are decorated with thirteen emblematic scenes from the movie. Each scene is etched on the case using ground-breaking high-intensity, high-precision femtolaser technology that allows an unparalleled level of realism and vividness.

Jacob & Co. Opera Godfather 50th Anniversary Limited Edition

The etching process creates an almost imperceptible texture, so that just as you see the scene, you actually feel the frame from The Godfather‘s movie reel. Chief among them is the image of Don Vito Corleone, etched between the lugs at 6 o’clock.

Jacob & Co. Opera Godfather 50th Anniversary Limited Edition

In the middle of caliber JCFM04, The Godfather‘s emblematic red rose, rendered with incredible realism and quality, rests between the two musical barrels. They power the two-part music box mechanism that plays The Godfather‘s main theme, one of the foundational features of the collection.

Jacob & Co. Opera Godfather 50th Anniversary Limited Edition

In this instance, these barrels have been crafted out of solid rose gold, and each engraved with a total of thirteen cult quotes from the movie. The pieces that cover the blades which create the melody have also been designed especially for this limited edition. One, in the shape of a piano, bears the image of Don Corleone and the other the puppeteer’s strings from the original movie poster.

By incorporating a new set of literal symbols and key elements of the movie’s imagery into the Opera Godfather 50th Anniversary, Jacob & Co. delivers a unique concept. This horological masterpiece fuses the art of watchmaking with symbolism.

Jacob & Co. Opera Godfather 50th Anniversary

In watchmaking terms, the Opera Godfather is a triple-axis tourbillon watch with twin music boxes, complete with combs and barrels. They play The Godfather‘s main theme, composed by Nino Rota, from the movie’s score. As the music plays, the entire movement spins as if in a dance while the off-centered dial turns in the opposite direction so as to remain upright.

Jacob & Co. Opera Godfather 50th Anniversary

In symbolic terms, it celebrates certain artifacts from The Godfather which have become part of pop and cinematic culture: the rose Vito Corleone wears on his lapel at his daughter’s wedding; the puppeteer strings originally featured on Mario Puzo’s original novel cover, which later became the movie’s poster; Marlon Brando himself, featured on one of the piano covers.

Jacob & Co. Opera Godfather 50th Anniversary Limited Edition

Limited to 50 pieces, each Opera Godfather 50th Anniversary comes in its special wood case, lined with red velvet. It contains a crystal decanter with a high-resolution print of Marlon Brando and The Godfather main logo. It also contains an all-new version of The Godfather Pen, which is an integral part of the Jacob & Co. Godfather universe.

God Father BALLPOINT Pen

This black celluloid fountain pen features an ample rose resting at the top of the cap, rendered in red and green enamel.

Jacob&Co. Epic X

Jacob&Co. presents the latest generation of its popular Epic X series.

Launched back in 2015, the original Epic X collection has played a major role in making Jacob & Co. a full-fledged watchmaking brand. Unveiled during the 2022 edition of the Geneva Watch Days, the redesigned Epic X is more sleeker and streamlined. Details abound where Jacob & Co. has subtly altered a shape, a surface, a line, to make the Epic X entirely up to date.

Jacob&Co. Epic X watch stainless steel

The first series of the new Epic X flaunt their bold 44-mm steel case, their 5-link, all-new steel bracelet, their X-shaped lugs and their vertically aligned skeleton movement with Clou de Paris-adorned bridges. A full rose gold version is also being released. They exhibit a new set of crown guards, a new lug design and introduce green, blue or black aluminum components that will lead to infinite possibilities.

The case measures 44 mm in diameter and 13.05 mm in thickness. The bracelet is an entirely new design, derived from the case’s unique angles and curves. Each in the 5-link rows is a polished and chamfered three-dimensional sculpture, with a half-octagon profile and a curved base. This and a careful study in articulation create an ideal fit on the wrist. Moreover, the Epic X remains available with its signature, honeycomb rubber strap.

Jacob&Co. Epic X with black dlc case

Jacob & Co. is releasing three new Epic X versions: Steel case with blue aluminum parts on steel bracelet or black rubber strap, Rose gold case with green aluminum parts on rose gold bracelet or black rubber strap, and a Black DLC case with black details on rubber strap.

When released, the Epic X was also a uniquely designed piece. The X figure that gave the collection its name is to be found on its pairs of lugs. They’re interconnected through the vertical bridges of the skeleton movement, creating a continuous shape throughout the entire piece.

Jacob&Co. Epic X watch with rose gold case and bracelet

All of these distinctive features are preserved, and enhanced in the new series. The most obvious update to the design is the new shape of the case. The once stepped bezel is now smooth and polished, with a steeper angle. The X-shaped lugs are now full and flush, and begin slightly above the sapphire crystal. Their ends are more angular and more vertical, creating an even better fit for the strap.

Jacob&Co. Epic X stainless steel watch with honeycomb rubber strap

The second most recognizable alteration is the caseband, extending far outside the case’s circle to create a set of crown guards. In between them, a redesigned crown exhibits a two-level, notched steel tip.

The new Epic X features several colorful components, crafted out of aluminum. Presently, Jacob & Co. is offering blue, green, and black color themes for this watch. Depending upon the version, any of these colors is applied to the flange, which also bears a redesigned typeface. The same shade appears on the satin-finished edges on the two vertical bridges, the body of the X.

Jacob&Co. Epic X stainless steel watch with bracelet

Powering the Epic X watch is the Jacob & Co. Skeleton Caliber JCAM45, which features a wide barrel at 12 o’clock and the balance wheel at 6 o’clock.

The vertical bridges with the printed brand signature are moved at 12 o’clock. Open-worked, these structures feature the Clou de Paris (or Parisian hobnail) guilloché pattern made of square-base pyramids with polished faces.

The 5.9 mm-thick movement is open-worked to the extreme, a feature that is being masked by the full vertical bridges. It features a high-end balance wheel with regulating screws, almost flush with the dial.

The remaining, black-plated surfaces of the open-worked mainplate are finished with perlage (circular graining), sandblasting and vertical-graining.

A look at the movement’s back reveals the characteristic “Octopus” spring, a refined component with three extremely thin and elegantly curved blades. It acts as a pawl-spring and a setting-lever spring.

Jacob&Co. Astronomia Solar Bitcoin Limited Edition

Jacob&Co. presents the Astronomia Solar Bitcoin, a ground-breaking timepiece inspired by the advent of the first crypto currency.

Unveiled during the 2022 edition of the Geneva Watch Days, this high complication watch from the Astronomia Solar collection fuses Bitcoin-related features within its vertical and rotating manufacture movement. By inserting a Jacob-cut diamond, a Jacob-cut orange citrine and a rotating Earth, Jacob&Co. adds its own craft as a nod to the success of those who have mastered Bitcoin. Twenty-five of them will have access to the multi-rotational piece, which can be paid for in the cryptocurrency of their choosing.

Jacob&Co. Astronomia Solar Bitcoin Limited Edition

The Astronomia Solar Bitcoin watch boasts many details and features that are directly linked to the Bitcoin universe: A Bitcoin currency logo, a flying tourbillon, a yellow citrine sun, a diamond moon, a golden Earth, and a miniature rocket ship to reach for the moon. All these symbols evoke the advent of the first cryptocurrency.

Jacob&Co. will be selling the 25 pieces of this watch in cryptocurrencies. As per international regulations, the brand is obligated to determine a fixed price in official local currencies. Regardless of where the sale ultimately takes place, payment will be available in the crypto of the buyer’s choosing, Bitcoin or altcoin, at the going rate on the day of the transaction. Purchase will be handled by leading payment processing platform Bitpay, which carries Dogecoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and no less than 5 USD-pegged stablecoins.

The Astronomia Solar Bitcoin comes with a 44-mm diameter black DLC titanium case, which features wide lateral openings in the case band, allowing a 360° view on the complicated movement.

The Astronomia Solar Bitcoin also features high, full lugs. Attached from bezel to caseback, their dropping shape creates a vertical angle, from which hangs the black alligator strap. This ensures a comfortable and snug fit on the wrist. The watch has a crown-less, panoramic case and a large domed sapphire crystal. It also has a full caseback, which is actually the movement’s mainplate. It includes two folding bows, which act as crowns.

Inside the Astronomia Solar Bitcoin watch beats a modified version of the Astronomia Solar movement, developed and manufactured exclusively for Jacob&Co.

Jacob&Co. Astronomia Solar Bitcoin Limited Edition

The bottom plate of calibre JCAM19 has been decorated to become an expression platform, fulfilling the symbolic nature of this piece. It’s shaped like micro-chip and circled by keywords that describe the crypto universe: a “peer to peer” system, regulated by “Blockchain”, where “Bitcoin” is the founding and leading “decentralized digital currency”.

Those writings are crafted in positive engraving on the frame surrounding the movement and mounted on ball beatings. They spin counter-clockwise to the tune of one rotation each 11 minutes.

The rest of the movement is built vertically on top of this base. It’s crafted entirely out of titanium and some steel elements. It takes the shape of a three-pronged carousel. One of its arms carries a one minute-flying tourbillon with a wide, open-worked, black cage. A second one holds the hour and minute dial. The third arm contains a rotating, vertical Bitcoin symbol.

The entirety of this vertical structure is topped by a rotating terrestrial globe, and spins on its large, central axis to the tune of one turn every 10 minutes. As a consequence, the flying tourbillon is really a twin-axis tourbillon, with one minute and ten minute periods. Also, the dial is mounted on a differential gear that counteracts the movement’s rotation, so that it always reads upright. And in this instance, it’s shaped like a fan, a nod to the ones found in Bitcoin mining farms’ servers.

Jacob&Co. Astronomia Solar Bitcoin Limited Edition

On the Astronomia Solar movement, the functional prongs are topped with three other ones, with a decorative purpose. They provide the piece with the necessary symbolic substance that makes this an entirely cryptocurrency-oriented piece. One is a sun made of 288-facet, Jacob-cut orange citrine. The other is a moon made of a 1ct white diamond cut with the same technique.

Collectively, they uphold a natural lineage with the Jacob&Co. Astronomia Solar collection. The terrestrial globe made of gold and black lacquer stands at the top of the 19.90 mm high calibre. And as Bitcoin keeps reaching for the moon, figuratively, the movement also features a black rocket, complete with flaming reactor and Bitcoin sign.

Jacob & Co. Astronomia Tourbillon Bucherer BLUE

Jacob & Co. unveils a unique Astronomia Tourbillon watch in collaboration with Bucherer and Sotheby’s.

The Jacob & Co. Astronomia Tourbillon Bucherer BLUE is a marvel of Swiss craftsmanship and the decorative arts. Moreover, this unique timepiece was the first triple axis tourbillon to leave the Earth’s atmosphere.

Jacob & Co. Astronomia Tourbillon Bucherer BLUE

On April 8, from the Launch Complex 39A at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, Axiom Space launched a four-person team to and from the International Space Station (ISS). The flight named AX-1, returned off the Florida coast on Monday, April 25.

A crew member on this historical mission was Eytan Stibbe, an impact investor and philanthropist, leading the Israeli designed Rakia mission to space. He had carried the Jacob & Co. Astronomia Tourbillon Bucherer BLUE watch during the space journey.

The Rakia mission, along with the Astronomia Tourbillon Bucherer BLUE, spent 17 days 1 hour and 37 minutes in space, as the space crew orbited the Earth 273 times at an altitude of 250 miles at nearly 17,500 mph, traveling over 7 million miles in total.

Jacob & Co. Astronomia Tourbillon Bucherer BLUE

With its return from space, the Jacob & Co. Astronomia Bucherer BLUE is set to embark on a public exhibition tour in New York City, first stopping at the Bucherer 1888 TimeMachine from July 11 – 17. From there, moving to exhibition at Sotheby’s New York galleries from July 21-25, before heading to the auction block in a single-lot dedicated live auction on July 26.

On offer with no reserve- and bidding starting at $1- proceeds will be donated to benefit charities, with further details to be announced at a later date.

Jacob & Co. Astronomia Tourbillon Bucherer BLUE

The Jacob & Co. Astronomia Bucherer BLUE incorporates a complex movement with a gravitational triple axis tourbillon.

The dark blue starry background mirrors the deep, captivating color of the firmament (“Rakia” in Hebrew) and the pronounced domed case, made of anti-reflective sapphire crystal, essentially features a microcosm: four satellites turn in constant motion, including the dial, tourbillon cage, a spherical diamond that reflects the moon, and a magnesium lacquered globe that reflects the Earth. All finished in the Bucherer BLUE color scheme, this timepiece is galactic to the core.

Jacob & Co. Astronomia Tourbillon Bucherer BLUE

According to crew member, Eytan Stibbe, the Astronomia Tourbillon Bucherer BLUE timepiece continued to accurately display the time during the launch and return to earth, enduring extremely high G-forces and also micro-gravity while in space.
