Boasting an original design and equipped with a patented movement, this unprecedented chronograph watch features four horizontally positioned counters. The genius behind this iconic creation was Palmiro Monti, who was the brand’s CEO at the time. The Swiss brand now celebrates 20th anniversary of this incomparable horological marvel by launching a new Chrono 4 series.

Eberhard & Co. 20 Years of Chrono 4

Celebrating the twenty years of success and innovation, the new Chrono 4 embodies all the technical expertise developed by Eberhard & Co. since its establishment, with a visual appeal in keeping with contemporary styling. The stainless case measures 42 mm in diameter. The finish is polished, as is the steel bezel featured on one of the two versions, the other having a ceramic bezel and a more sporty-looking tachymeter scale.

Eberhard & Co. Scafograf 300 MCMLIX Edition with Matt Blue Dial

After last year’s success with the “MCMLIX” celebration edition, the SCAFOGRAF 300 collection now welcomes a new version boasting a blue colour scheme.

Eberhard & Co. created the first SCAFOGRAF in 1959, with the aim of meeting the growing demand for diving watches. This model became one of the La Chaux-de-Fonds Maison’s greatest successes. It has been counted as one of the most coveted diving timepieces.

Eberhard & Co. Scafograf 300 MCMLIX Edition with Matt Blue Dial

After the launch of the first two models (water resistant down to 100 and 200 metres respectively), the SCAFOGRAF 300 version and its evolutions followed, managing to create a timepiece able to withstand a depth of 1000 metres.

In 2016, driven forward by its desire for constant research and innovation, Eberhard & co. designed a re-issue of the SCAFOGRAF 300, a modern re-elaboration which, that very year, went on to win the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève.

The Eberhard & Co. SCAFOGRAF 300 “MCMLIX” edition, a diving watch, with the name itself, through the transcription in Roman numerals, evokes the year of its original launch, and boasting a galbe dial in blue, Eberhard & Co.’s signature colour, with matt finish and indexes and hands featuring a ‘vintage’ luminescence. The self-winding mechanical movement is housed within a 43 mm diameter steel case, with convex sapphire crystal and automatic helium escape valve at 9 o’clock.

Eberhard & Co. Scafograf 300 MCMLIX Edition with Matt Blue Dial

The unidirectional rotating ceramic bezel, also in blue, has ‘vintage’ luminescence on the first quarter of the minute scale. The screw back is decorated with a starfish, the emblem of the collection. The water-repellent leather strap enhances the casual-chic look of the watch and features blue stitching, similarly evoking the rich blue tone of the dial.

Eberhard & Co. X Sergio Bonelli Editore Zagor Limited-Edition Chronograph

Sergio Bonelli Editore has partnered with luxury Swiss watchmaker Eberhard & Co. to mark the 60 the anniversary of Zagor, the comic hero created by the leading Italian comic book publisher.

Zagor – the Spirit with the Hatchet – is an iconic character created in 1961 by author Guido Nolitta (aka Sergio Bonelli). To celebrate its 60th anniversary of this comic character, Eberhard & Co. created the exclusive Zagor chronograph limited edition, available in only 120 numbered pieces.

Eberhard & Co. X Sergio Bonelli Editore Zagor Limited-Edition Chronograph

Sergio Bonelli Editore is a long-established Italian comics publisher, and has the largest output of literature designed entirely in Italy. In 2021, Sergio Bonelli Editore is celebrating its 80th anniversary. Its characters spawn decades, winning over generations of fans.

Among the most popular, Tex, the famous ranger devised in 1948 by “novelist turned comics creator” Gianluigi Bonelli, and illustrated by Aurelio Galleppini. Tex’s widespread success, together with the Bonelli family’s entrepreneurial spirit, provides countless readers with comics entertainment of the highest order, across all genres and settings.

It is precisely with Zagor, hatched in 1961 from Sergio Bonelli’s imagination, that the publisher gradually transformed the themes and blueprints of traditional adventure, within a project of renewal of the classic cartoon adventure concept: from Mister No (in 1975) to Ken Parker (in 1977) to Martin Mystère in 1982.

In the 1980s, the publisher was hugely successful with the Dylan Dog comics, followed by other hits such as police officer Nick Raider and sci-fi character Nathan Never. Then they introduced fantasy series like Brendon and western horror Magico Vento, and three collections focused on the female characters Legs Weaver, Julia and Gea. The most recent series are Dampyr, Morgan Lost and Orfani.

Sergio Bonelli Editore, now led by Davide Bonelli, Sergio’s son, currently combines an extensive output of comic series with the development of their multimedia counterparts.

Eberhard & Co. X Sergio Bonelli Editore Zagor Limited-Edition Chronograph

The commemorative watch made by Eberhard & Co. features a stainless steel case and a grey dial highlighting the ZAGOR 60 logo to mark Zagor comics 60th anniversary. Among the three sub-dials, the counter at 9 o’ clock has a Zagor symbol shaped indicator for monitoring continuous seconds. This timepiece is equipped with the ETA 7750 self-winding mechanical chronograph movement.

Eberhard & Co. ‘Scientigraf’

Swiss watch brand Eberhard & Co. presents a modern recreation of the brand’s ‘Scientigraf’ timepiece released in 1961.

Eberhard & Co. ‘Scientigraf’

Ever since its establishment in 1887, the Swiss watchmaker has always brought in several technical innovations that are truly beneficial to users, exploring solutions in a variety of domains. Over the years, Eberhard & Co. has developed countless inventions and patents designed to solve all the main issues likely to affect mechanical watch movements, including in particular the problem of magnetisation.

Eberhard & Co. was one of the first Swiss manufacturers to offer an antimagnetic watch. Released in 1961, the ‘Scientigraf’ timepiece featured a Faraday cage made of soft iron which acts as a shield for watch movements. Its function is to absorb electromagnetic waves, preventing them from reaching the mechanisms. The ‘Scientigraf’ model of 1961 was one of the timepieces that pioneered this technology, and was extremely successful at the time thanks to the reliability of its performance.

Eberhard & Co. ‘Scientigraf’

Eberhard & Co. has now created a new edition of its historical ‘anti-magnetic’ watch. Modelled on the features of its predecessor, the new version also offers all the enhancements derived from the application of modern technology and contemporary design.

Eberhard & Co. ‘Scientigraf’ watch faraday cage

The new ‘Scientigraf’ measures 41 mm in diameter, is water-resistant to 100 m and is powered by a self-winding mechanical movement with dial readings for hours, minutes and seconds at the centre.

Eberhard & Co. ‘Scientigraf’

The steel case presents a polished and satin finish and the screwed-in caseback is customised with a period logo and an inscription referencing the tests successfully passed at the specialist centre in La Chaux-de-Fonds, certifying compliance with ISO 764 2020 standards.

Eberhard & Co. ‘Scientigraf’ watch with bracelet

The sapphire glass is carved out and domed, and features an anti-reflective treatment. The two dials available are in mat black, enhanced with a “galbé” finish and two luminescence options for the indices, either vintage or orange. The circular area radiating outwards from the center is luminescent too.

Eberhard & Co. ‘Scientigraf’ watch with leather strap

The ‘Scientigraf’ watch will have a water-resistant black leather strap with a decorative cordura insert or orange stitching (depending on the dial version) and a buckle customised with the Eberhard shield. Also available is the steel Chassis® bracelet.

Eberhard & Co. ‘1887 Remontage Manuel’ New Blue Version

La Chaux-de-Fonds based Swiss luxury watch brand Eberhard & Co. presents a new edition of its ‘1887 Remontage Manuel’ timepiece in blue, the official color of the Maison.

Equipped with the exclusive EB140 manual-winding calibre, the ‘1887 Remontage Manuel’ timepiece features an architecture specially designed for the Maison.

The movement is characterised by meticulous attention to detail, particularly in the area of the balance-cock and the large gear bridge, both rhodium-plated, with circular waves in the centre and a spiral paper perimeter. The screws are blued and the engravings are gilded.

Eberhard & Co. ‘1887 Remontage Manuel’ New Blue Version

The ‘1887 Manual Remontage’ is defined by soft lines. The steel case, with a diameter of 41.80 mm, houses the blue dial with vintage-inspired ‘Clous de Paris’ finishes, featuring Roman numerals, rhodium-plated indexes and a trapezoidal date window positioned at 6 o’clock. The embossed logo, an integral part of the historical heritage of the Maison, is documented in the archives of the early 1900s. The caseback has a central sapphire crystal zone allowing the EB140 calibre to be seen at its best.

The chromatic uniformity between the dial and the blue alligator strap enhances the charm of a unique timepiece which, by its name, embodies and represents Eberhard & Co.’s strong link with its history and its foundation, created in 1887 in La Chaux-de-Fonds.

In 2019, the Maison re-established its headquarters inside the historic baroque-style building in the city centre, known as ‘La Maison de l’Aigle’. The brand also opened a museum in the same building, so allowing a public of enthusiasts to admire the watchmaking creations that have marked more than 130 years of the brand’s history.

To mark these important events and further consolidate this return to origins, the internal EB140 calibre was created and integrated in the ‘1887’ model designed for this occasion.

Eberhard & Co. SCAFOGRAF 300 “MCMLIX” Edition

The new SCAFOGRAF 300 “MCMLIX” Edition watch celebrates the 60th anniversary of the iconic Eberhard & Co. SCAFOGRAF diving watch collection.

Eberhard & Co. SCAFOGRAF 300 “MCMLIX” Edition

Launched in 1959 to meet increasing demand for reliable diving watches, the SCAFOGRAF collection has been one of the biggest success stories of Eberhard & Co. The technical characteristics of the watches made them one of the most coveted instruments for diving enthusiasts.

The first two models, water resistant to 100 and 200 metres respectively, immediately climbed to the apex of the market, encouraging Eberhard & Co. to take on new challenges. The result was the Scafograf 300 (a version for professional divers), and its subsequent evolutions which could resist depths of up to 1000 metres.

In 2016, Eberhard & Co. returned with the re-edition of the SCAFOGRAF 300, a diving watch that exceeded all expectations in terms of awards. In fact, that same year, it received the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève, the most prestigious recognition in the haute horlogerie sector.

The SCAFOGRAF 300 is an automatic-winding mechanical diving watch with a 43 mm Ø steel case, unidirectional rotating ceramic bezel, curved sapphire glass and valve enabling the release of helium at 9 o’clock.

Eberhard & Co. SCAFOGRAF 300 “MCMLIX” Edition

A celebratory edition called “MCMLIX”, in Roman numerals the year of the collection’s birth, will be available this summer. The all-black dial and ceramic bezel are animated by hands and markers with “vintage” luminescence.

The caseback is decorated with the symbol of the collection, a star fish, while the black rubber strap is integrated and features small reliefs in the shape of the House “shield” on the inside to improve breathability. The numerals “MCMLIX” are imprinted on the dial, as a tribute to a very significant step in Eberhard & Co.’s history.

Eberhard & Co. Traversetolo New Models with Blue Dial

Eberhard & Co. showcases a new version of Traversetolo, the legendary forerunner of the generously sized cases, enriching the range with a blue dial and a new strap in white technical fabric.

Eberhard & Co. Traversetolo New Models with Blue Dial

Eberhard & Co. launched the model in the 90s, strongly contributing to the launch of the new trend for extra-large watches thanks to a 43 mm diameter case running a manual winding movement created in the 50s and perfected over time. It was immediately a great success and still today Traversetolo is one of the collections most loved by fans, even in the wake of the current popularity of “vintage” models.

Traversetolo, which comes in a closed caseback version and in the “Vitré” version with visible movement, will be offered in blue, the same colour used for the details of the new rubberised straps.

The new dial will be enriched with a “soleil” decoration, while the “blued” processing has been reserved for the seconds counter. Readability in the absence of light will be ensured by the presence of white super-luminova on the indices and on the traditional “bâton” type hands.

Eberhard & Co. Nuvolari Legend “The Brown Helmet”

In the wake of the great success achieved by the latest addition to the Tazio Nuvolari collection, the Nuvolari Legend automatic timepiece, Eberhard & Co. presents the new version “The Brown Helmet”, featuring a dial in a warm “antique leather” nuance that perfectly matches with the look of this vintage-inspired chronograph.

In fact, the design of Nuvolari Legend recalls that of the first pocket and wrist chronographs produced at the beginning of the last century by the Maison from La Chaux-de-Fonds, while being paired with a case and movement with purely contemporary features: solidity, reliability and durability.

Eberhard & Co. Nuvolari vintage-inspired chronographLegend “The Brown Helmet”

For the choice of the new dial, the Maison was inspired by the natural leather accessories so much loved by the great champion, who made them the essential talismans from the moment he got behind the wheel: a vest that protected him from the wind and a soft helmet which also succeeded in suppressing some of the infernal noise produced by the automobiles of that time.

These cult objects are now exhibited at the Nuvolari Museum in Mantova, together with the twin of the pocket watch by Eberhard that Nuvolari always carried with him.

Eberhard & Co. Nuvolari vintage-inspired chronographLegend “The Brown Helmet”

The Eberhard & Co. Nuvolari Legend “The Brown Helmet” watch is offered with a steel case 43 mm in diameter. Waterproof to 30 metres, in addition to its timepiece functions, it offers a central tachymetric spiral scale in Km/hr.

The transparent caseback allows you to admire the oscillating weight, decorated with a gold reproduction of the fabulous Alfa Romeo Type 12/C, the companion of many victories of the “Flying Mantuan “. A “checkerboard” motif, inspired by the starting flag of motor racing, decorates the edge of the caseback.

Eberhard & Co. 1887

This new manual-winding model pays tribute to the founding date of Eberhard & Co.

In 1887, the time, when the Swiss Maison was founded by Georges-Lucien Eberhard, La Chaux-de-Fonds was already the town that most represented the heart of Swiss watchmaking in the world. The historic Baroque style building, built by the founder and known in the town as “La Maison de l’Aigle”, brought together the watchmaking studios and the family home under one roof.

Today Eberhard & Co. has returned to its roots by re-establishing its headquarters within the Maison de l’Aigle and has contributed to restoring the imposing eagle that defines it, dominating “Le Pod”, the main road through La Chaux-de-Fonds, from the roof of the building.

To celebrate this turning point, Eberhard & Co. inaugurated its first museum, offering enthusiasts the chance to admire the horological creations that have marked over 130 years of industrial history.

Eberhard & Co. 1887 watch

This is clearly a decisive step that the Maison has taken in the context of its long-term vision. Proof of this is the presentation of a new, exclusive calibre, the EB140, entirely produced for Eberhard in La Chaux-de-Fonds, and of the new model destined to house the movement inside: the Eberhard “1887”.

The EB140 calibre is a manual winding movement (14”’- 28,800 A/h-18 rubies) with exclusive architecture and special technical and structural specifications.

Eberhard & Co. caliber EB 140

The aesthetic aspect also reveals meticulous care over details, particularly the bridge for the balance wheel and the large bridge for the gear trains, distinguished by the traditional finishing with a “circular wave” pattern. The screws are blued and the incisions are gilded.

Eberhard & Co. 1887

The new “1887” model was designed to express all the potential of this calibre. It is a watch with balanced lines, with a 41.80 mm diameter steel case that leaves ample space for a dial of extreme elegance, available in two versions with gold or rhodium-plated numbers and indices.

The taste is a bit “rétro”, thanks to the “clou de Paris” workmanship and the trapezoidal date window, which has already been adopted by Eberhard & Co. for some historical models. The logo on the dial is part of the historical heritage and is documented in the archives of the early 1900s. The sapphire crystal case back proudly shows off the beauty of the EB140 calibre.

Eberhard & Co. 1887

Great detail has also been given to the choice of straps, among which, in addition to the traditional alligator models, a new creation will be presented. It is the result of a collaboration with the prestigious ULTURALE tie-makers, one of the best-known ambassadors of this historic Neapolitan sartorial tradition.

It is a Jacquard silk strap, in two different versions combined with the two dials, dedicated to the “dandy” of the new millennium and produced exclusively for Eberhard & Co.

Eberhard & Co. Nuvolari Legend

Created 30 years ago, the ‘Tazio Nuvolari’ collection of timepieces from Swiss watch brand Eberhard & Co. pays tribute to Tazio Nuvolari, the champion driver who dominated the decades between 1920 and the late forties.

Also, Eberhard & Co. has been the main sponsor of the Nuvolari Grand Prix for over twenty years. In this role and through the many models of watches he has inspired, the Maison has helped enormously in paying tribute to the ‘Mantovano Volante’, proudly aware of the fact that the champion of technical perfectionism chose an Eberhard to accompany him in everyday life.

Eberhard & Co. Nuvolari Legend watch

The Tazio Nuvolari collection mainly consists of sports watches, and many versions have been added to it over the years. Some of these have been inspired by great victories or enterprises realized by the champion. The latest, Nuvolari Legend, seeks to celebrate the essence of the man and of the sportsman, consecrating him among those who will never be forgotten.

Eberhard Nuvolari Legend watch

Nuvolari Legend is an automatic timepiece with a steel case, available in two sizes: 39.5 mm and 43 mm in the Grande Taille version. The model is water resistant down to a depth of 30 meters and features a black dial with luminescent Arabic numerals, a minutes counter at 12 o’clock, a hours counter at 6 o’clock and a spiral tachometer scale in km/hr in the centre.

Eberhard & Co. Nuvolari Legend

The movement can be admired through the transparent sapphire crystal base, which is secured by eight screws, decorated with a checkerboard pattern inspired by the race start flag and customised with name of the model and the historic stylised Alfa Romeo Type 12C in which the great driver obtained many victories.

The ‘vintage’ look of the new timepiece is enhanced by the matching antiqued leather strap. This model is also available with a steel Charme bracelet.

EBERHARD & Co.

Eberhard & Co. is a traditional Swiss watch company which has a rich heritage of manufacturing exceptional mechanical timepieces including some innovative chronographs since 1887.

Origins

In La Chaux- de-Fonds, in 1887, Georges Eberhard a mere 22 years of age, founded the Manufacture d’Horlogerie Eberhard & Co. The Company specialised in the production of technical watches, launching the pocket chronograph, followed in 1919 by the first wrist chronograph.

In 1935, innovation centred on the double pulsating chronograph, offering the stop and start functions without having to reset to zero; 1938 was the year that saw the launch of the first chronograph with an hour counter. When 1939 arrived, it heralded a new revolution: the Company created a wrist chronograph equipped with an innovative fly-back device, enabling dual time keeping. These were the years when the Eberhard chronographs were ploughing through the waves on the wrists of the Italian Royal Navy’s officers.

After the war, the first ladies model was launched, after which, at the end of the 50s, the first Extra-fort made its appearance, a real watch industry jewel with seconds hand re zeroing by means of a sliding push piece. Technical passion and the taste for a challenge brought together Eberhard and the “Frecce Tricolori” (Three-coloured Arrows), to which the Chronomaster was dedicated in 1984. The Company’s centenary (1887-1987) was celebrated with the Navymaster collection. 1992 was the year of the “Tazio Nuvolari” chronograph, created in honour of the greatest car racing legend of all time.

Tazio Nuvolari” Chronograph

In 1996, production was orientated towards large-sized models: the Traversetolo was born, with its 43 millimetre diameter. The following year saw a new milestone: “8 Jours”, which, thanks to an exclusive device, needs rewinding only once a week. The third millennium opened with Chrono 4, the first and only chronograph in the history of watchmaking to display four counters aligned horizontally, subsequently also aligned vertically with the Chrono 4 Temerario.

In 2003, a new model was added to the “Tazio Nuvolari” collection, dedicated to the famous victory of the Vanderbilt cup. Then once more in the context of extreme challenges, the Scafodat collection was launched in 2006, tackling the ocean depths down to 500 metres.

In 2007, Eberhard & Co. celebrated its 120th Anniversary with a chronograph dedicated to this important milestone: the “Chronographe 120ème Anniversaire”, which is the custodian of 120 years of history, passion and dedication. In 2008, the Company is embellishing its collections with important developments to its most representative models and, in this way, laying the bases for new and exclusive projects in the future.

In 2009 the Company reinterpreted the spirit of Extra-fort with a refined version “Vitré” and presented the special steel chronograph “Tazio Nuvolari Edition Limitée Grand Prix TN”, produced in only 999 pieces.

In 2010 the “Grand Prix” line was enriched by a red gold edition, limited to 123 precious pieces. With Gilda, Eberhard & Co. gives a new meaning to its concept of femininity, thanks to its soft lines and harmonious details expressing modern and timeless elegance. To confirm the continuous search for evolution and innovation gave birth to Chrono 4 Géant, an indomitable, sporty and dynamic chronograph.

In 2011 the brand introduced a special titanium version of the latter with a gutsy, distinctive look. The same year Eberhard & Co. celebrated the 10th anniversary of Chrono 4 with two limited Editions of Chrono 4 Grande Taille and Chrono 4 Géant Titane.

In 2012 the Maison celebrated its 125th anniversary with “Extra-fort Roue à Colonnes Grande Date 125ème Anniversaire”, 125 years dedicated to research and constant innovation. Champion collection launched in the early ‘90s is revisited in a contemporary style with Champion V and Champion V Grande Date. On the occasion of the 120th anniversary of Tazio Nuvolari’s birth Eberhard & Co. introduced “Tazio Nuvolari Data”.

Important Watch Collections

8 Jours
The 8 Days collection combines tradition with committed workmanship as it comprises mechanical hand winding watches which need winding only once every 8 days. The dial has a days-left indicator, with a patented device, whose hand shows the remaining power reserve i.e. for how many days left the watch will still be telling the time.

The Company’s innovation here is a special winding device consisting of two overlapping springs, which, together, are more than one metre and a half long, while a standard wrist watch has only one spring, about 30 cm long. The brand also added a precious Grande Taille version of the 8 days timepiece. This new model has a case of considerable size (Ø 41mm) version and reveals part of its precious, hand-winding, mechanical movement.

The “8 Jours Grande Taille” model is equipped with a crocodile strap, is waterproof to 3 atmospheres, has a sapphire glass and is available in elegant dial versions.

Champion
The Champion collection was launched at the beginning of the 90s. The brand recently revisited this sports oriented collection by adding new models Champion V, and Champion V Grande Date, with big date at 3o’clock. Dedicated to a strong, sporty wrist, Champion V and Champion V Grande Date are proposed with a variety of dials and bezels which exalt their distinctive personality signed by Eberhard & Co. A special edition from this line, the Champion V Grande Date Animalier features “zebra-striped” dial which expresses the strength and charisma of this chronograph. The black and white stripes are also on the mineral glass bezel. Champion V Animalier is the expression of a skilful technical and aesthetic combination, refined and exotic at the same time, which confirms the creative versatility of Eberhard & Co.

Chrono 4
Introduced in 2001, the Chrono 4 is the first and only chronograph in the history of watchmaking with four aligned counters. This Registered Design is an aesthetic and functional innovation and represents a technical revolution thanks to the device developed and patented by Eberhard & Co. with sophisticated complexity. Indeed the entire mechanism operates using no fewer than 53 rubies.

Never before had minutes, hours, 24 hours and seconds been arranged horizontally in a linear progression. Available in several versions including the Chrono 4 Géant series.

Chrono 4 Temerario
Chrono 4 Temerario presents itself in a completely original and unique way and boasts 3 exclusive patents developed by Eberhard & Co. One of these regards the movement, another concerns the access system to the crown, and the third relates to the safety clasp of the leather strap and the bracelet. Equipped with a mechanical automatic movement and an Eberhard & Co. device, Temerario features the auxiliary dials – continuous seconds and 24 hours – and the hour and the minute counters in a vertical row. The two push buttons of the chronograph are situated at 11 o’clock and 1 o’clock. Beneath the case, at the level of the chronograph’s push buttons at 1 o’ clock, there is a lever that when trigged releases the lid of a small chamber, at 12 o’ clock, in which the crown is kept. This device that opens the chamber is exclusive to Eberhard & Co. The strap and the bracelet are both fitted with the innovative and exclusive deployment clasp Déclic.

The well-known Chrono 4 Temerario, famous for its many patented features, is also offered in an exclusive version, limited to 370 pieces. This version’s unique feature is the use of a special internationally patented carbon protection treatment, DLC-Dianoir®, acronym for “Diamond Like Coating”, a revolutionary surface treatment which, when applied to steel, takes on a black colouration making it scratch-resistant and impervious to humidity. An appropriate technical solution also from an aesthetic point of view, giving this model a particularly tough, sporting appeal

Extra-Fort
Extra-fort represents an important stage in the history of watchmaking. It’s a chronograph by Eberhard & Co. which, as a post-war offspring, became a synonym for a new era in horology in the 50s. Half a century later this by now renowned timepiece was freshly interpreted and brought up to the state of the art by the same Maison Suisse. The Extra-fort is a mechanical automatic winding chronograph, with sapphire glass, and water – resist ant down to 3 or 5 atmospheres, depending on the models. The Extra-fort preserves the spirit and charm of a watch that has made history. The collection is enriched by particular éditions limitées.

Extra-fort, circa 2000

From the 40s Extra-fort is one of the Swiss Maison’s most representative models. After having redesigned its style in the new millennium, equipping it with an automatic chronograph movement, the Extra-fort now comes with a 41mm steel case, retaining the class and innate charisma of its predecessor. Water-resistant to 5 atm, with a domed sapphire crystal, it is available in three different dial versions, embellished with a special diamond-finish, interspersed between the tachometer and minutes scales. The Extra-fort Grande Taille is available with a crocodile strap or “Chalin” steel bracelet.

The Extra-fort Automatic collection consists of mechanical automatic winding watches in steel, 18 ct. pink gold or white gold, available in the version “just time” or “Grande Date” also with power-reserve, with a sapphire glass and the caseback locked by screws. The “just time” version has a wide choice of dials: from the classic anthracite and “argenté” to the coloured blue and burgundy. The special models “Grande Date” and “Grande Date Réserve de Marche” feature a transparent caseback in sapphire glass to reveal the movement with its embellishments “Côtes de Genève”. Among these, the “Edition Bleuet” deserves particular attention.

Extra-fort Rattrapante : The steel version of the Extra-fort Rattrapante is an exclusive chronograph proposed by Eberhard & Co. in a limited series of 333 pieces. Elegance and prestige are the characteristics best describing this model, equipped with fly-back and column-wheel devices, thanks to which it is possible to measure intermediate time and double chronometry. Through the Extra-fort Rattrapante sapphire crystal case back, a refined movement can be seen, which is much sought after and finished in highly refined detailed. Eberhard & Co. also offers the Extra-fort Rattrapante model in 18 ct. red gold in a limited edition of 121 pieces.

Extra-fort Roue à Colonnes Grande Date: This mechanical chronograph perfectly combines aesthetical and mechanical elegance, in harmony with tradition and innovation. The chronograph’s functions are controlled by the column-wheel by means of a modified mechanical movement with automatic winding that operates in accordance with a new and exclusive process, namely a precise, accomplished mechanism that is visible through the sapphire glass caseback. Extra-fort Roue à Colonnes Grande Date reinterprets the elegant and harmonious lines of its predecessors and it is available in steel, in pink gold and in a special white gold version featuring a finely worked dial.

Extra-fort Roue à Colonnes Grande Date 125ème Anniversaire:
This exclusive and elegantly styled automatic chronograph celebrates the 125th anniversary of Eberhard & Co. With a 41 mm steel case, produced in a limited edition of500 pieces, this Extra-fort model is proposed with an argenté or black dial with contrasting counters profile, featuring Arabic numerals at 1, 2 and 5 o’clock, symbolising this important anniversary. A previous edition in 18 kt pink gold, limited to 125 pieces: Extra-fort Roue à Colonnes Grande Date 125ème Anniversaire is also available.

Glida
With Gilda, Eberhard & Co. gives a new meaning to its concept of femininity. The soft lines of the elliptical case, the harmony shown by the exclusive details and the floral motif engraved on the caseback express modern and timeless elegance. The extreme refinement of Gilda is enhanced in all models by precious materials, such as mother-of-pearl and diamonds. Sensual, strong-minded, studded with little secrets, just like a woman.

Les Courbées
Les Courbées is a collection of mechanical watches with automatic winding that combines originality and elegance. Available in steel or in 18 ct. pink gold, these models have a rectangular case with slightly curved profile and a vaulted sapphire glass. For those that prefer precious details, the steel version is also available with 34 diamonds on the bezel. The crown is screwed-in and the caseback locked by four screws. The dial is available in white, black or blue featuring large, eye-catching stylised Arabic numerals that emphasise the watch’s uniqueness. The “Grande Date” version has an automatic movement with power-reserve indicator.

Les Courbées

Scafodat
Scafodat is the name of the diving-watch collection for professional use; it resumes and actualises the Eberhard & Co.’s tradition in sport watches with technical features. The ingenuity of its production and the careful selection of the materials make Scafodat water-resistant down to 500 m. Scafodat is characterised by such interesting technical details as the big crown located at 4 o’clock, equipped with a special security device. The crown activates the inner rotating flange, protected by a non-reflecting sapphire glass, which is especially useful for indicating diving times on a sexagesimal basis. The security valve is fitted on the middle part. It works automatically and sees to it that helium escapes in the decompression phase.

Scafodat comes in steel; it has a mechanical automatic movement and screw-in crown. The caseback is locked by screws, and an individual feature of it is the traditional seahorse image that was inspired by the original design registered in 1958. The black dials have triangular indexes warranting high-grade readability both in the classical and sportive versions. Scafodat is available with the special Chicane bracelet in steelwith an innovative system to lengthen it (Patent Pending) and the Déclic clasp, or with an ergonomic rubber strap devised for optimum wearing comfort.

Scafomatic
With the creation of Scafomatic, Eberhard & Co. has chosen modern, functional lines that are carefully adapted to the sober and balanced style, for which the Swiss Company has always been noted. This mechanical watch, with automatic winding and a sporty look, has a domed sapphire crystal, protecting a generously proportioned, fully steel case (42 Ø), perfectly complementing the particularly distinctive dial. Available in a variety of colours, the dial reveals an outer gloss-finish highlight and a regular alternation of large Arabic numbers and indices of an original trapezoidal shape, all luminous, guaranteeing 24-hour optimum legibility. The ancient shield, engraved in a prominent central position on the case back, is a symbolic fragment of history, representing a faithful and constant reminder of the tradition of the House of Eberhard. Water-resistant to 5 atmospheres, Scafomatic is fitted with a black or white rubber bracelet, embellished with a buckle bearing the “E&Co.” signature

Tazio Nuvolari
“Tazio Nuvolari” is a mechanical automatic winding chronograph, water-resistant, with screw-in crown, sapphire glass and black dial. The special pearl-finish of the caseback, secured by screws, and of the bezel, drew inspiration from the vintage racing car instrument panels. The engraving of the driver’s signature and the stylised image of the mascot tortoise – given to the great Nivolaby Gabriele D’Annunzio, with the dedication “To the fastest driver in the world, the slowest animal” – make these chronographs absolutely unique. The caseback of the “Gold Car Collection” models is transparent to reveal the beauty of the movement with its high-grade embellishments and the rotor with its equally as subtle engravings depicting a stylised 18 ct. gold replica of that Alfa Romeo Tipo 12/C which the great Flying Mantovanian used to drive to his impressive victories.

Eberhard & Co. celebrated the 120th anniversary of the birth of Tazio Nuvolari with the “Tazio  Nuvolari Data” model, an automatic mechanical chronograph dressed in a 43 mm steel case. The black dial featuring “perlée” finish has two counters at 12 and 6 o’clock, for minutes and hours respectively; the latter also features the date. The “Tazio Nuvolari Data” special edition is embellished with the particular bezel with 74 black diamonds (1.11 ct.).

The “Mouvement Gravé” edition features a precious hand engraving on the movement and on the 21 ct. gold rotor, available upon request on some models in the “Tazio Nuvolari” collection. Among the “Tazio Nuvolari Gold Car Collection” models, whose name is an instant reminder of the Alfa Romeo represented in masterly fashion on their rotors, we simply had to have an elegant 18 ct. gold version, now available only to order.

“Tazio Nuvolari Grand Prix TN” in gold revives the essence of sporting passion, enhanced with the extraordinary class of precious metal. Sapphire glass and water-resistance to 3 atmospheres round off an exclusive chronograph in a limited series of 123 pieces. An imposing 43-millimetre case, whose lines are embellished with a subtle, warm interplay of colour combinations, making it unique.

The steel version of “Tazio Nuvolari Grand Prix TN” has the strong, unique personality of a great champion. A robust case of ample proportions (43 mm diameter), water-resistant up to 3 atmospheres, sapphire glass, a black ceramic bezel and distinctive appearance: a gutsy, modern chronograph in a limited series of 999 pieces. Another version of “Tazio Nuvolari Grand Prix TN” features an imposing steel case (Ø 43 mm), characterised by the white colour of the ceramic bezel, the details on the dial, the engravings on the case back and the original strap with red stitching. Limited edition of 999 pieces.

The “Tazio Nuvolari – Vanderbilt Cup” collection is dedicated to one of the most exciting and renowned race from Nuvolari, won on Long Island in America in 1936. Mechanical automatic winding chronograph, “Tazio Nuvolari – Vanderbilt Cup” also features significant technical details from the past but revised in accordance with modern criteria.

“Tazio Nuvolari – Vanderbilt Cup”

The crown features a coaxial pushbutton recalling the chronographs from the ‘30s. The case has a hinged double caseback that can be opened with a special vertical sliding pushbutton. On the internal part of the back cover are depicted a stylised reproduction of Nuvolari’s legendary tortoise, the driver’s initials and there is also space to apply an individual dedication. The finely machined movement is revealed through a sapphire glass with Tazio Nuvolari’s signature.

Chrono Traversetolo
Chrono Traversetolo is a mechanical chronograph with automatic winding characterized by a very finely machined movement that is revealed through the transparent caseback in sapphire glass.

The rotor deserves particular attention: it is entirely decorated with “Côtes de Genève” embellishments, circular, and it is elegantly personalized with a shield – the old symbol of the Maison – that depicts the letter “E” in 18 ct. gold. Chrono Traversetolo comes in steel; it has a large-sized case (Ø 43 mm.) and it features special push-buttons for the chronographic functions with a particular, curved shape. Available in different dial versions, Chrono Traversetolo comes either with a crocodile strap, the steel Chaland bracelet or a rubber strap.

Chrono Traversetolo

The collection is also enriched by an attractive édition limitée, offered in a “Noir” version. The “Noir” version of the Chrono Traversetolo, limited to 333 pieces, is especially remarkable for its use of the special patented carbon treatment DLC-Dianoir® – Diamond Like Coating – which by providing the steel case and buckle with a black coating, gives this version a particularly attractive appearance, looking even tougher through the choice of the black dial with contrasting red numbering.

Traversetolo
Traversetolo is accurate, resistant and reliable. The qualities of this watch lie in its large size and its movement, conceived in the ‘50s and improved through the years: one of the most traditional and highly esteemed movements in Swiss watchmaking. Traversetolo is available in the classical version, with minted caseback and marks in relief, Vitré with transparent caseback which reveals the movement, and in a special Vitré version dedicated to left-handed

Aliante
Aliante comes in steel, it has a mechanical movement with hand-winding and a big case (Ø 41 mm.), whose thickness of 8 mm. gives to it a slim line and optimum wearing comfort. Aliante is characterized by the reintroduction of the old shield, emblem of the Maison, which personalizes the inner part of the dial as a delicate embellishment in the same colour. The prestigious symbol is also on the crown and on the caseback, where it is minted with the “E” in relief. To celebrate the refinement of the new watch by Eberhard & Co., the shield “E” comes on the “pont de rouage” of the movement.

Replica
The Replica collection is inspired by the distinctive line of a 1930s model which the Maison Suisse used to supply to the Officers in the Italian Royal Navy. Mechanical chronograph with automatic winding, Replica is available in different versions, most notably so, a model with full calendar and with or without moon phases.

Montres en or
In this collection of classic gold watches, Eberhard & Co. combines reduced, no nonsense design with the richness of materials thus creating forever lasting models in 18-carat white, yellow or classical warm pink gold with hand winding, automatic winding or quartz movement.

Strictly mechanical with hand winding and also in the sophisticated “savonnette” style.

Gingi Date
The Gingi Date collection features pure, stylish lines that impart to it a seductively feminine charm all of its own. This quadrangular model comes in steel, with calendar, and curved sapphire glass. Gingi Date is available either with a classical dial or with coloured mother-of-pearl dials featuring raised indexes or original stylized hearts; all dials are also offered in the precious version with diamonds. This elegant watch is also available in a smaller version in pink gold, called “Gingi”, which features a classic dial without date.

Désirée

The original structure of the steel bracelets and the elegant design of the gold ones make this timepiece a precious ladies ornament offered in different dial versions that will easily adapt to any occasion. The collection is enriched by a precious édition spéciale.

Bracelets or
In this collection, characterized by the richness of its materials and by the lucidity of its design, Eberhard & Co. combines its tradition of watchmaking with the art of the master goldsmiths to create precious wrist jewels in 18-carat gold: ladies models made of a rich material, in which the skilful play of the lights and the nobility of the shapes create real jewels whose elegance never goes by.

Aquadate
The Aquadate watches have been part of Eberhard & Co. collections since the 60’s. Today, the Maison Suisse presents new, up-to-date models. The style of Aquadate can be sportive, elegant, or luxurious, depending on the combination of different materials such as steel, gold and diamonds. This model of good wearability and aesthetic impact, offers two bezel versions and has a white, black or blue dial or a pink, skyblue or green mother-of-pearl dial. Precious dial versions with diamonds are also available. Aquadate, for gents or for ladies, has a mechanical automatic winding or quartz movement, is water-resistant and features a sapphire glass with magnifying lens providing optimum readability of the date, a screw-in crown and a caseback fixed by screws.

The deployment clasp Déclic by Eberhard & Co.
The patent pending deployment clasp Déclic is a new accurate detail that the Maison has added to its watches. The traditional constructive technique has been improved thanks to a special security mechanism, which prevents the opening of the deployment clasp Déclic, when worn.

Déclic, available in steel and in 18 ct pink or red gold, is easy to adapt and to combine with the leather and rubber straps, or the steel bracelets. Its correct closing is ensured by a “click” which indicates that the lever has reached its right position.

Eberhard & Co. CHRONO 4 130 – Celebrating 130th Anniversary of the Brand

Swiss watch maker Eberhard & Co. celebrates its 130th anniversary and to mark this special occasion the traditional watch brand has created a commemorative version of its iconic CHRONO 4 watch line.

Founded by Georges-Lucien Eberhard in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1887, the traditional Swiss watch making house now celebrates 130 years of its special passion for an art made up of charm and precision, its uninterrupted history of taking up new challenges and its watches with timeless personality.

The success of Eberhard & Co.’s creations spans the entire twentieth century, enabling it to file numerous patents which have consolidated its position among the aristocracy of luxury Swiss watchmaking. This innovative spirit has found expression in precious timepieces with high technical content which have marked important stages of development, particularly of the chronograph, among other timepieces.

Eberhard & Co. CHRONO 4 130

1894 saw the creation of a pocket watch with an innovative patented setting system. 1905 was the year for a special watch with a patented new system for reading the hours and minutes. 1919 saw the launch of the era’s most advanced single button wrist chronograph, while 1921 produced a watch with a special patented device – “Calotte Patrouille” – protecting the movement from dust and moisture.

In 1935 the Maison unveiled an unprecedented chronograph with two buttons for stop and restart without resetting, then in 1939 the “rattrapante”, or split-seconds, chronograph made its appearance, followed by the Extra-fort chronograph in the early 1940s.

1942 was the year of the “Magini System”, a split-seconds chronograph that was one of the protagonists of the Italian-Japanese raid during World War II, flying from Rome to Tokyo and back. The ’50s were the setting for the Scafograf diving collection, whose 300 model was re-released in 2016 to great success, receiving several awards including the “Sport Watch Award” at the prestigious Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève.

Eberhard & Co. CHRONO 4 130

The Sixties saw the Contograf become an emblem of its time thanks to its innovative features, in the true style of a Maison that is always ahead of its time.

Collectors and enthusiasts of the Eberhard brand could easily complete the list by citing a number of fascinating new mechanisms and absolutely unique shapes, each of which has in some way left its mark on the world of watchmaking. In addition, from the very beginning the Eberhard name has been adopted by the sports world and military specialists, participating in the great achievements of many outstanding personalities.

Eberhard & Co. CHRONO 4 130

Since the early decades of the last century, officers of the Italian Royal Navy have worn Eberhard & Co. chronographs on their wrists, while the Maison’s “Frecce Tricolori” Chronomaster has accompanied the flights of the world’s most famous aerobatic team since 1984.

This overview would not of course be complete without the collection dedicated to the legendary motor racing champion Tazio Nuvolari, the great driver who was never without his Eberhard pocket watch.

In recent times, the range has been enhanced with the 8 JOURS which, by means of a special device patented by Eberhard & Co., only needs winding once a week, and the Extra-fort, a re-interpretation of a chronograph that has been an iconic collection since the Forties.

Eberhard & Co. CHRONO 4 130

And last but not least, for the new millennium the Maison revolutionised the way we tell the time with the Chrono 4 (patented – registered design), the first and only chronograph in the history of watchmaking with four aligned counters, a veritable icon of the brand today.

Never before had the minutes, hours, 24 hours and small seconds been arranged horizontally in a linear progression. Never before had telling the time proved to be so remarkably natural. A milestone of excellence, achieved thanks to the passion and commitment put into creating a mechanism that is unique for the complexity and difficulty of its construction.

For these reasons Eberhard has chosen the Chrono 4 to celebrate its 130th anniversary, as an emblematic model which embodies the essence of the Maison and confirms its natural propensity for evolution and growth, its ability to reinvent itself while keeping its personality and independence intact, and without sacrificing its deep bond with its roots.

The commemorative version is the CHRONO 4 130, in a steel version with an attractive, sporty look and also in an extraordinary limited edition of 130 units. Featuring a new 42 mm Ø case framed by a bezel with circular satin finish; the crown, personalised with the number “130”, is positioned between the two drop shaped chronograph buttons.

Eberhard & Co. CHRONO 4 130

Three dial variants are available. In all versions, the central soleil part of the dial is delimited by a diamantage-finished circle, while luminescent indices are applied on the outer azurée zone.

Waterproof to 50 m, the case-back of the Chrono 4 130 is secured by 8 screws and features a central medallion in bas-relief with sandblast finish, personalized with the CHRONO 4 130 logo, where the 4 is raised. The model comes with a grey-black carbon wear strap.

Consist of 130 pieces to celebrate the anniversary of the Maison, a Chrono 4 in a very refined version. The steel case has the same dimensions as the standard edition but it houses a skeleton dial, argenté or black, which reveals the main plate and the wheels with DLC® finishing, protected by an upper bridge in a special sapphire glass that is 3 tenths of a millimetre thick, an element of highly complex construction.

Eberhard & Co. CHRONO 4 130

A rhodium plaque, secured to the main plate by two screws, shows the name of the model and the historic trademark of Eberhard & Co., as used for the first wrist chronograph in 1919. The sapphire glass case-back provides a view of the circular oscillating weight, finished with Côtes de Genève and customized with the number 130.

This edition also comes with a grey-black carbon-wear strap.

Eberhard & Co. Scafograf GMT

After the success of Scafograf 300, introduced last year and winner of the “Sports Watch Prize” at the prestigious Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève, Eberhard & Co. updates the Scafograf watch line with a delightful GMT version.

This essential idea has inspired the Swiss watchmaker to create Scafograf GMT, an automatic steel model that maintains the same lines as its predecessor, the Scafograf 300, but has different technical features, starting with the case (43 mm Ø) and triple time zone function that is operated via the position of the bezel and the central GMT hand.

Eberhard & Co. Scafograf GMT watch

The bidirectional rotating bezel is made of steel with a ceramic insert and is available in black or blue depending on the version of the dial, which is proposed in the same colours. The finish is galbé with curved, luminescent applied indices.

Water-resistant to 100 m, Scafograf GMT has a screwed case-back, personalised with the engraving of a stylised hemisphere, and comes with a black or blue integrated rubber strap, with a customized “E” shield, the company’s emblem.

Small shields also feature on the inside of the strap, providing good breathability. The model is also available with a Chassis® steel bracelet completed by a Déclic® deployment clasp (Patented).

Eberhard & Co. Extra-fort Special Edition for Moreschi

Traditional Swiss watch brand Eberhard & Co. has created a special edition timepiece in association with Moreschi, the legendary Italian manufacture which produces most elegant shoes and other leather goods.

One of the best examples of Swiss excellence in the watch-making world paired with the most sophisticated of leather goods has produced the “Extra-fort Special Edition for Moreschi”; an elegant and refined watch that best expresses a number of characteristics shared by the two companies: a unique and unmistakable style, timeless class and great attention to detail.

The idea of creating an Eberhard & Co. watch for Moreschi was inspired by the long-standing and deep-rooted bond of friendship and mutual respect between the two companies: indeed, the watchmaker’s timepiece owned by Mario Moreschi, the company’s founder and grandfather of the current proprietor, dates back to 1949.

Jealously guarded and handed down from generation to generation, as tradition would have it for the most valuable and best-loved products, this watch has been a source of inspiration for both companies, eventually leading to the idea of creating a special product that would combine Swiss watch-making know-how with Made in Italy craftsmanship.

Eberhard & Co. Extra-fort Special Edition for Moreschi watch

The “time-only” mechanical self-winding watch uniquely expresses Eberhard & Co.’s predilection for elegance and harmony. It has a 40 mm case and a beige dial with “soleil” finish. The colour choice comes from the desire to evoke the warm tones of the finest leather.

The dial is customised with the symbolic logo of the company for which it was created, positioned at twelve o’clock, two men’s shoes that come together to form the brand’s identifying M.

The dark brown ostrich leather strap with hand-sewn beige stitching was specifically designed by Moreschi and matches the dial perfectly. The watch has a screw-down crown, curved sapphire glass and is water resistant to 50 metres.

After being “unveiled” for the very first time at the international watch-making fair in Basel, the model, in a limited edition of 200 pieces, was officially presented at the Milan Men’s Fashion Week (17 – 21 June) during a dedicated event in Milan on Monday 20 June, at Pisa Orologeria.

The watch will be available as from the autumn in Moreschi mono- and multi-brand stores around the world.

This year, from 5 – 8 May, another memorable event has been added to Eberhard & Co.’s rich programme of sponsorships in the world of vintage cars: the renowned Targa Florio, which has celebrated its 100th edition and at which the watchmaker has been the Official Timekeeper and presented a chronograph especially created for the competitors in this race.

Set up in 1906 through the enlightened genius and entrepreneurial spirit of Vincenzo Florio – a highly cultured man enamoured of his native land – the “world’s oldest and most famous” automobile race, an icon of Italy and of Sicily in particular, which has left its mark on the history of motor sports, looked proudly towards the future through a four-in-one event: Targa Florio Rally, Targa Florio Historic Rally, Targa Florio Classica and Targa Florio Historic Speed.

It has been set to be the motor racing event of the year, bringing together extremely valuable cars, great champions, crews from the four corners of the world, collectors and enthusiasts. The history of this discipline came to life again in the very places where it was born, passing on a culture which, besides being all-Italian, is part of our global heritage. The cars and the streets which saw the feats of great drivers such as Fangio, Varzi, Nuvolari, Merzario and Vaccarella featured once again prominently in the event.

The bond between the Swiss watchmaker, which has been producing high-quality timepieces since 1887 and which has been one of the major players on the old-timers’ scene for over 20 years, and exclusive cars goes back to 1992. It is a love that has endured over time and that is constantly being enriched by innovations such as this latest addition to the fold and the decision to create a special model dedicated to the racing enthusiasts lucky enough to have the honour of taking part in this edition.

Eberhard & Co. Champion V Special Edition for the 100th Anniversary of Targa Florio

Eberhard & Co. has come up with the Champion V Targa Florio watch to celebrate the race’s Centenary. Being a sports chronograph, it is ideal for all those who face the trials of life and their passions with pluck and determination. It has been given to all participants (1 per crew) and all competitors had the chance to purchase a second watch at a special price.

Elegant, sophisticated and sporty, Champion V is a mechanical, self-winding chronograph with two counters, one for the minutes and one for the hours, where style and technology merge in a highly versatile equilibrium. The dial of the special edition Targa Florio is customised with the logo of the 100th edition and its style and colours are evocative of motor races.

Waterproof at 50 m, it has a 42.80 mm steel caseback with convex sapphire glass, a caseback fixed with 6 screws and enhanced by polished satin finishes, a steel bezel with a circular aluminium insert that has been treated with anodic oxidation and it comes with a leather strap with a customised “E&Co.” buckle.

Besides the race participants, some Champion V Targa Florio chronographs have also been given to selected celebrities that have accepted the invitation to be present at the anniversary.

Eberhard & Co. New SCAFOGRAF 300

It was the 1950s when the Swiss watchmaker Eberhard & Co. decided to conquer the sea and its mysterious depths.

These were the years in which Eberhard & Co. presented its Scafograf collection, designed to be worn by the adventurous and sporty with a dynamic spirit and love of life. Enriched over the years, the collection was made up of steel models which were water-resistant to 100, 200, 300, 400, 750 or 1000 metres, with or without a rotating bezel and luminescent hour markers.

The Scafograf 300 incorporated all the main features required of a dive watch: automatic with a sturdy, shock resistant steel case (Ø 42.5 mm), a graduated black bezel to control elapsed dive time, a high-contrast dial with luminescent hands and markers and a stainless steel expandable bracelet; everything that intrepid divers and water-sports aficionados would need in the enthralling depths.

The date at 3 o’clock – unusual for a dive watch – and the look of this model made it agreeably suitable for every day wear. The 300 in the name of this watch indicated the depth to which it was water-resistant.

Eberhard & Co. now presents a new edition of this model, reinterpreted in a contemporary way.

Eberhard & Co. New SCAFOGRAF 300 watch

The new SCAFOGRAF 300 is a mechanical, self-winding diving watch, with a Ø 43 mm steel case, an unidirectional rotating bezel in ceramic, with luminescent markings on the first 15 minutes scale, curved sapphire glass and a helium escape valve at 9 o’clock. The “galbé” black dial has luminescent applied indices and the date at 3 o’clock.

The name of the model, the central seconds hand and the dots can be white, light blue or yellow. The hours and minutes hands are also luminescent.

Water-resistant to 300 m, the new Eberhard SCAFOGRAF 300 has a screwed case-back personalised with an engraved starfish. The model comes with an integrated black rubber strap or a Chassis® steel bracelet with deployment clasp Déclic® (Patented).

Swiss watch bramd Eberhard & Co. has received a commission to issue a special Super Limited Edition of their iconic Contograf chronograph, exclusively for senior officers in the Sultanate of Oman’s Armed Forces.

The Limited Special Edition of the Contrograf sports a desert camouflage pattern on the watch face, in keeping with the sandy terrain of the Sultanate and the colours of the Royal Army of Oman.

The timepiece is set apart from the equally stunning green-toned camouflage Contograf that took the horological world by storm when it made its debut. The glamorous edition of Contograf in green camouflage, has been one of the most successful models of the year, the limited edition of 99 pieces was quickly sold out and is presently the object of desire of many watch collectors.

Eberhard & Co. Super Limited Edition Camouflage Contograf – Special Edition Timepiece in Honour of the Oman Armed Forces

The Sultanate of Oman, a trading and maritime empire that straddled Asia and Africa in its heyday and home to legendary sailors and explorers, is today one of the most beautiful Countries in the Arabian Peninsula.

The Sultanate has been wisely ruled by His Highness the Sultan Qāboos bin Said Al Said and has gained an enviable reputation as one of the preferred destinations for world class international tourism.

This Special Edition of the Contograf is characterized by a mimetic dial “camouflage” in khaki and brown tones, with applied black indices, faceted. The ceramic bezel with unidirectional rotation serves as a frame for the tachometer scale inspired by automotive design.

The case back of each watch is numbered and has a special engraving with the words “The Royal Oman Armed Forces” marking them out as collector’s watches.

Eberhard & Co. Tazio Nuvolari Desk‐Clock

The deep bond between Eberhard & Co. and the world of classic cars, and in particular the legend of Tazio Nuvolari, has been celebrated with a unique tribute.

The Swiss watchmaker has once again taken inspiration from the superlative sporting history of the Mantuan driver, full of incredible anecdotes, unrepeatable performances and unbeatable records.

Just as Tazio Nuvolari loved to put himself to the test, pushing himself beyond his natural limits and experimenting with new driving techniques, Eberhard & Co. has made a brief detour from the road of wristwatches by presenting a Tazio Nuvolari Desk‐Clock.

Eberhard & Co. Tazio Nuvolari Desk‐Clock

The new model confirms the distinctly sporting look of the Tazio Nuvolari collection, with a diameter of 10.8 cm delimited by a polished bezel whose surface is treated with palladium. The clock is animated by a very silent quartz movement with striking seconds. The flat mineral glass reveals a black dial featuring a “perlée” area with 12 luminescent Arabic numerals profiled in red.

Red is also the color of several other details like the central seconds’ hand, the driver’s signature and the initials “TN” on the white carapace positioned in the central opaque black area. The same color is also used for the stitching on the side of the watch that is covered by black leather. Tazio Nuvolari’s name is engraved on the removable case‐bottom.

Eberhard & Co. Extra‐Fort Automatic – New Dial Versions

New dials now enhance and complement the Extra‐fort Automatic range, the time‐only model from one of the watchmaker’s oldest and most emblematic collections.

With these new versions Eberhard & Co. once again expresses its taste for elegance and for harmonious forms and colours which, through the classic appearance of the Extra‐fort Automatic, reaffirms values which will last over time.

The range now includes three brand new dials: “argenté”, black and grey, for a sober but sophisticated style. The dials also feature Roman numerals together with rhodium‐plated indices in the outer area, ensuring clear legibility at all times.

The “azurée” finishing, a decorative technique applied to the surface of the outer area, together with the “frappée” finishing in the central area, creates a compelling contrast of colours and styles and transforms the watch in a perfect marriage of craftsmanship and modernity.

Eberhard & Co. EXTRA‐FORT AUTOMATIC watch

The Extra‐fort Automatic has an automatic mechanical movement protected by a 40 mm diameter steel case, and is waterproof to 50 metres. The caseback is fixed with six screws, it has a screw‐in crown and the dial is protected by a domed sapphire glass. The new look is completed by an alligator strap ‐ available in black or brown ‐ or a “Chalin” steel bracelet.

Eberhard & Co. EXTRA‐FORT AUTOMATIC watch

The Extra‐fort collection was created in the 1940s. Since then various commemorative editions and reinterpretations have been produced, featuring sophisticated technical solutions such as the column wheel chronograph and the “rattrapante” (split‐second) version.

With a look seemingly unchanged in decades, the Extra‐fort can be considered the forefather of the contemporary chronographs in the elegant‐sports segment.

Eberhard & Co. EXTRA‐FORT AUTOMATIC watch

At the beginning of this century, in response to specific market demand for smaller, more simple watches, the Extra‐fort range was expanded to include a non‐chronograph version with just time and date functions, the emblem of a classic look which has gained many admirers among lovers of fine horology.

It is this version, the Extra‐fort Automatic that Eberhard has updated, enriching the range of new dials available.
