Tudor Black Bay Fifty-Eight Bronze Boutique Edition (reference 79012M)

TUDOR has launched a bronze version of its famous Black Bay Fifty-Eight model, featuring for the first time a bronze bracelet fitted with a new clasp with rapid adjustment system. Boasting a nautical inspired “brown-bronze” colour palette, this extra-ordinary timepiece is available exclusively in around fifty TUDOR boutiques throughout the world. This new model is equipped with the in-house self-winding calibre MT5400.

Tudor Black Bay Fifty-Eight Bronze Boutique Edition (reference 79012M)

The new Black Bay Fifty-Eight model comes with a 39 mm bronze case. Its material choice is an aesthetic nod to the bronzes on old ships and other deep-sea diving equipment. Its proportions are based on the first TUDOR divers’ watches dating from the second half of the 1950s, particularly the famous 7924 reference or “Big Crown”, the first TUDOR watch to be waterproof to 200 metres (660 ft), presented in 1958.

Tudor Black Bay Fifty-Eight Bronze Boutique Edition (reference 79012M)

The case of Black Bay Bronze has an entirely satin-brushed finish that guarantees the homogeneous development of this patina.

The combination of a domed dial in matt “brown-bronze”, shaded concentrically from the exterior towards the centre, and a bezel presenting the same gold accents found on the hands and hour markers, completes the face of this model.

Tudor Black Bay Fifty-Eight Bronze Boutique Edition (reference 79012M)

The Black Bay Fifty-Eight Bronze model marks the first time that the brand has produced a bracelet entirely from bronze. Its satin-brushed links adopting the style of TUDOR bracelets of the 1950s and ’60s, with rivets, are coordinated with the case and will develop a patina at the same pace.

Tudor Black Bay Fifty-Eight Bronze Boutique Edition (reference 79012M)

A new bronze clasp, also satin-brushed, with a redesigned cover and TUDOR “T-fit” rapid adjustment system for the length, completes the total bronze look. Easy to use, requiring no tools and offering 5 positions, this practical system allows wearers of the Black Bay Fifty-Eight Bronze to carry out a fine, instant adjustment on an adjustment window along the entire length of the 8 mm bracelet.

Tudor Black Bay Fifty-Eight Bronze Boutique Edition (reference 79012M)

Inspired the brand’s naval heritage, TUDOR presents a free complimentary strap with its Black Bay Fifty-Eight Bronze model. This “brown-bronze” woven jacquard strap carries the signature central yellow thread. Woven in France on 19th century Jacquard looms by the Julien Faure Company in the St-Etienne region, this fabric strap’s manufacturing quality and comfort on the wrist are unique.

Tudor Black Bay Fifty-Eight Bronze Boutique Edition (reference 79012M)

The Manufacture Calibre MT5400 has the finish typical of TUDOR Manufacture Calibres: Its rotor in tungsten monobloc is openwork and satin-brushed with sand-blasted details, and its bridges and mainplate have alternate sand-blasted, polished surfaces and laser decorations.

Tudor Black Bay Fifty-Eight Bronze Boutique Edition (reference 79012M)

Equipped with a variable inertia balance and a non-magnetic silicon hairspring, the Manufacture Calibre MT5400 is certified as a chronometer by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC), with its performance going beyond the standards set by this independent institute. In fact, where COSC allows an average variation in the daily running of a watch of between -4 and +6 seconds in relation to absolute time in a single movement, TUDOR insists on between -2 and +4 seconds’ variation in its running when it is completely assembled.

Tudor Black Bay Fifty-Eight Bronze Boutique Edition (reference 79012M)

Like other models in the Black Bay line, the Black Bay Fifty-Eight Bronze model features a dial inspired by the TUDOR divers’ watches produced during the 1950s. It adopts the characteristic angular hands known to collectors as “Snowflake” that appeared in the brand’s 1969 catalogue. Finally, its unprotected crown and the holes of the bars that pass through the horns are inspired by that of the first generations of TUDOR divers’ watches.

Bell & Ross – BR V2-93 GMT Blue, BR V2-92 Military Green and BR V2-94 Aéronavale Bronze

Since it was founded, Bell & Ross has been passionate about military history and its functional and aesthetic archetypes. Flight instruments will always be a source of watchmaking inspiration for its designers. As such, military specifications provide Bell & Ross timepieces with rigorous and exacting standards in terms of legibility, functionality, precision and reliability. Modern-day codes also drive Bell & Ross to revisit historic pieces to create new models whose design and technology are in line with current trends.

It is in this spirit that, this year, Bell & Ross has unveiled three singular watches that evoke its three realms of expression: Sea, air and land. Both classic and modern, all three are driven by a reliable Swiss mechanical movement with automatic winding and are equipped with a “NATO Stretch” strap with a practical closure system, created using parachute straps. The practical strap makes for a very sharp, on-trend look and is in line with the neo-vintage trend which is popular with its fans.

Bell & Ross BR V2-93 GMT BLUE

Following on from the BR V2-93 GMT 24H launched in 2018, this year, Bell & Ross has completed its range of watches targeted at modern frequent travellers – both professional and civilian – in search of a chic and functional timepiece. The contemporary design of the BR V2-93 GMT Blue is perfectly suited to 21st century travelers.

Bell & Ross - BR V2-93 GMT Blue with nato strap

Its 41-mm round steel case is characteristic of the Vintage series, with integrated protection for the screw-down crown. With a galvanic blue case-back featuring a sunray pattern, the dial is a nod to the world of air travel and long transatlantic trips, while the second hand counterweight is subtly styled in the shape of an aircraft. The bi-directional rotating bezel in two-tone anodized aluminium (grey for daytime and blue for night-time) means the time in a second time zone (shown on a 24-hour scale) can be read instantly thanks to the fourth hand, or the “GMT” hand, with its stand out red arrow.

Bell & Ross - BR V2-93 GMT Blue with stainless steel bracelet

For optimal legibility, the four faceted hands and the decal indices and numerals boast a photo-luminescent coating in white Super-LumiNova®.

Bell & Ross BR V2-92 MILITARY GREEN

Based on the principle that the essential should never give way to the superfluous, with this new BR V2-92 Military Green model, Bell & Ross engineers and watchmakers have designed a practical watch perfectly suited to all uses.

Paying tribute to the men on the ground who were the first to use the wristwatch as fundamental instruments for their missions, Bell & Ross has unveiled a sport-chic civilian version of its BR V2-92 which evokes nature and wide-open spaces. Staying faithful to the military technical specifications, the anti-reflective matte khaki dial is legible both day and night, the sapphire crystal is scratch-resistant and the Swiss mechanical movement with automatic winding is highly precise and has been tested for all types of missions.

Bell & Ross - BR V2-92 Military Green

To ensure optimal legibility, the BR V2-92 Military Green shares the same lineage as watches from the Bell & Ross “LUM” collection which are treated with green-coloured Super-LumiNova® C3 to maximise their luminescent qualities. Playing on both the discreet nature of the khaki camouflage dial and its functional design, it is aimed at professionals and daily adventurers searching for a timepiece which is robust and timeless.

Bell & Ross - BR V2-92 Military Green with nato strap

Faithful to lines from the Bell & Ross Vintage collection, its 41-mm round steel case with a crown guard is equipped with a glass dome, or “glass box”, and a black bi-directional rotating bezel in anodized aluminium to measure short periods.

Bell & Ross - BR V2-92 Military Green with stainless steel bracelet

In a nod to well-known Bell & Ross “Military Type” references, the BR V2-92 Military Green continues this connection both on a technical and stylistic level. The date is displayed in a round window at 4.30 – one of the brand’s signature features – the khaki disc inside being the same colour as the dial. Adventurous and urban, the BR V2-92 Military Green goes back to basics yet continues the great tradition of professional timepieces.

Bell & Ross BR V2-94 AÉRONAVALE BRONZE

In a nod to the Vintage BR Aéronavale collection, this year Bell & Ross went a step further and unveiled a new BR V2-94 Aéronavale Bronze in a limited edition of 999 pieces that combines functionality and elegance while subtly reflecting the prestigious ceremonial uniform of French naval officers.

Bell & Ross - BR V2-94 Aéronavale Bronze watch

This elegant chronograph is clearly aimed at lovers of beautiful timekeeping instruments. In stabilised CuAl7Si2 bronze (91% copper, 7% aluminium and 2% silicon), its 41-mm case stands out with its distinctive yellow gold colour. Known for its changing nature that gives it its unique character, bronze – a material cherished by Bell & Ross – provides a whole palette of unique shades.

Similar to the other chronographs from the Vintage series, the BR V2-94 Aéronavale Bronze is equipped with a fixed bezel, here in navy blue anodised aluminium. Its ocean blue dial is decorated with gilt metal indices and numerals and baton-shaped skeletonised hands in white Super-LumiNova® for optimal legibility.

Bell & Ross - BR V2-94 Aéronavale Bronze watch with nato strap

The functional, ultra-curved “glass box” sapphire crystal reinforces both the classic style of the piece and its resistance. In this sense, the BR V2-94 Aéronavale Bronze meets all the criteria of the military technical specifications intended for such a timepiece. This refined chronograph featuring screw-down pushers will appeal to collectors looking for a model with a vintage feel which evokes the “bi-compax” chronographs from the 1960s which featured two sub-dials.

AVI-8 Flyboy Eagle Squadron Bronze Automatic Limited Edition

The Eagle Squadrons were three fighter squadrons of the Royal Air Force (RAF) formed with volunteer pilots from the United States during the early days of World War II (prior to America’s entry into the war in December 1941).

By 1942, following the attack on Pearl Harbour, the Americans had joined the war effort, and the three squadrons formed were transferred to the United States Air Force. Nonetheless, the bravery, sacrifice by a small group of Americans has not been forgotten and is commemorated by The Eagle Squadrons Memorial located in Grosvenor Square opposite a statue of Franklin D. Roosevelt.

The AVI-8 Flyboy Eagle Squadron Bronze Automatic Limited Edition pays tribute to the Eagle Squadron through a vintage pilot watch forged out of a classic silhouette. It is imagined with both history and technology, creating a timepiece that is a perfectly wearable homage to this chapter in the heroism of military aviation.

AVI-8 Flyboy Eagle Squadron Bronze Automatic Limited Edition watch

A 39mm diameter case with a 22mm lug width sits comfortably on the wrist in a proportion true to the pilot watches worn during the war. As these timepieces cases are bronze, it may develop a layer of oxidization over the surface of the case known as patina. A flat sapphire lens with anti-reflective coating offers a scratch-resistant clear window to the dial.

The dial itself offers legibility and clarity with the matt finish complemented by multiple layers of Swiss luminous painted on hour indexes. Blunt shape hands for the hour and minute display are also generously lumed for low-light visibility.

AVI-8 Flyboy Eagle Squadron Bronze Automatic Limited Edition

The Eagle Squadron is powered by a custom modified Seiko TMI NH35 self-winding automatic and is water-resistant to 50 meters.

The watch hugs the wrist with a vintage, horizontal hand-stitched leather strap but also comes packed with another supple yet sturdy genuine leather NATO strap.

AVI-8 Flyboy Eagle Squadron Bronze Automatic Limited Edition

Limited to 300 pieces, this uniquely elegant timepiece comes packed in a handsome canvas-covered field like box along with a brass plated plaque, extra strap and strap changing tool, making for a superb watch appealing to enthusiasts and collectors alike.

TAG Heuer Autavia Bronze

Earlier in 2019, TAG Heuer introduced its legendary Autavia timepiece as a new stand-alone collection that boasts the versatility, ruggedness and reliability that characterised the original Autavia from 1960. Two durable and timeless models in noble bronze with a green or brown colour scheme, powered by the COSC-certified automatic-winding Calibre 5, are now available in stores and online. The Autavia in bronze is an ideal choice for explorers who want their watch to live with them and show off their unique and adventurous lifestyle.

TAG Heuer Autavia Bronze automatic watch

The 42mm watch features a fumé green or brown dial with a bidirectional rotating ceramic bezel in black or brown, respectively. The brown model is presented on a brown leather strap, while the green model features a khaki-coloured leather strap. A tyre and propeller have been etched into the titanium caseback as a nod to the collection’s rich heritage and the Autavia’s origin: automobile and aviation.

TAG Heuer Autavia Bronze

Bronze is not only elegant and characteristically timeless, it is also rugged and ready for a lifestyle that includes the great outdoors. The warm appearance of the metal alloy has long been valued by watch fans and collectors. It is anti-magnetic and resistant to normal wear and tear. Bronze is also well-known for its maritime heritage – it is not susceptible to saltwater corrosion, making the bronze Autavia models suitable for ocean adventures.

The most distinguishing feature of the bronze TAG Heuer Autavia models is the unique patina that naturally develops on the bronze case, which will be different for every watch depending on the wearer’s habits over time. The brushed finish of the case ensures that the patina develops evenly. When exposed to elements such as water and air or changes in temperature, the bronze surface will undergo a process of oxidation.

TAG Heuer Autavia Bronze

Starting with a red-brown colour and then turning a blue or greenish colour, this colourisation effect on the metal is completely natural, and the hue depends on the type of bronze and the elements it has been exposed to. Every oxidation pattern is unique, and the wearer is able to make the watch truly their own. The verdigris tint does not reduce the quality of the material, and the vintage appearance of the case tells the story of the adventures the watch has embarked upon with its wearer. It is also possible to accelerate the oxidation process or reverse it to maintain the original look of the bronze.

TAG Heuer Autavia Bronze watch

Suitable for any adventure or any style, the strap or bracelet of every model in the Autavia collection is interchangeable. The bracelet and strap are easy to switch quickly using simple push buttons on the underside of the case – no tools are necessary. NATO straps, leather straps and stainless-steel bracelets are sold separately, so wearers can create their own combinations to complement their unique look.

TAG Heuer Autavia Bronze automatic watch

TAG Heuer’s stylish, cockpit-inspired watch features eye-catching elements that are rooted in the history of the line. What fans loved about the original – its functionality, timeless style and numerous combinations – are also evident in these stylish new models. The extra-large crown takes inspiration from pilot’s watches and timers that featured oversized crowns to make them easier to use while wearing gloves. The original Autavia was known for being highly legible in any conditions, and this is also the case with the bronze versions. The hour markers and hour, minute and seconds hands are coated in SuperLuminova®, making it possible to read the time even when the wearer’s adventure leads them into the dark.

The avant-garde Swiss luxury watchmaker’s DNA is clearly visible with these sturdy, reliable and fashionable bronze creations. Displaying the authentic Autavia identity, they combine an enduring material with a lasting heritage strengthened by the journeys of the most adventurous TAG Heuer aficionados.

Oris Big Crown Bronze Pointer Date

Swiss watch brand Oris celebrates the uniquely historic role of its signature Big Crown Pointer Date by casing it in solid bronze and using a bespoke finish that makes each bronze dial a one-of-a-kind.

Oris’s Big Crown Pointer Date first entered the Oris collection in 1938, more than eight decades ago. Its creators made a watch for glove-wearing aviators – hence the oversized crown and clear Arabic-numeral dial – but they also made a beautiful object.

The Big Crown Pointer Date’s continued relevance owes much to the original design. But it’s also a reflection of its role in Oris’s revival after the 1970s Quartz Crisis, and in the revival of the Swiss watch industry.

Oris Big Crown Bronze Pointer Date automatic watch

The role of the Big Crown Pointer Date in Oris’s decision in the mid- to late 1980s to rebuild the company with only mechanical watches was critical. It had a story, a purpose and an emotional value that the quartz-powered novelties of the day simply couldn’t compete with. It became an Oris signature and a symbol of the Swiss watch industry’s dramatic revival.

Oris Big Crown Bronze Pointer Date automatic watch

Today, more than 30 years later, Oris is introducing the Big Crown Bronze Pointer Date. The bronze case and dial symbolize Oris’s industrial philosophy and the eternal value of a Swiss Made mechanical watch. The solid bronze dial is chemically treated and coated with a transparent matt lacquer to create a unique finish for every piece.

Oris Big Crown Bronze Pointer Date automatic watch

Oris was founded in 1904, and around 1910 made its first watch for pilots. Louis Blériot had flown across the English Channel in 1908. Shortly after, Oris created a pocket watch with an image of a Blériot plane engraved onto the case. That was followed in 1917 by the company’s first pilot’s wristwatch, a clever piece that could only be adjusted when a button above the crown was activated. Two years ago, Oris created a centenary edition of this landmark watch.

Oris Big Crown Bronze Pointer Date automatic watch

In 1938, Oris produced a watch that would become known as the Big Crown Pointer Date. It had an over-sized crown that could be easily operated by a pilot, even when wearing gloves; large Arabic numerals, so the time could be read quickly; a fluted bezel; and a central hand with a pointer tip that indicated the date. More than 80 years later, the same design principles continue to inform the Big Crown Pointer Date. Over time, it’s been refined with material and mechanical improvements, but its timeless pioneering spirit remains.

Hublot Classic Fusion Special Edition Bronze Anticlockwise, In Partnership with Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons

Building on their successful, shared “Vision” of being different and unique, Hublot and UAE partners Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons launched an all-new timepiece on November 22: the Classic Fusion Special Edition Bronze Anticlockwise.

This is Hublot’s first-ever watch made fully from bronze, with a grey dial, and featuring an anticlockwise movement, another first for the watchmaking brand.

Hublot Classic Fusion Special Edition Bronze Anticlockwise, In Partnership with Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons

David Tedeschi, Regional Director for Latin America & Caribbean and Middle East & Africa, and Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons Chief Commercial Officer Mohammed Abdulmagied Seddiqi presented the piece to press and collectors during Dubai Watch Week 2019.

Designed and produced at the Hublot Manufacture in Switzerland, the Classic Fusion Special Edition Bronze Anticlockwise turns back time with its 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 O’clock Indian numbers indexes positioned backwards on the dial, and its hands turning counter-clockwise. The self-winding anticlockwise movement inspires the wearer to take a step back in time and admire the UAE’s impressive path that leads it to its current greatness.

Hublot Classic Fusion Special Edition Bronze Anticlockwise, In Partnership with Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons

Hublot cut its Classic Fusion case out of bronze, a material created over 10,000 years ago through a fusion of copper and other metals such as aluminium, manganese, nickel or zinc. The alloy has the advantages of non-magnetism, resistance to corrosion and a distinctive appearance through its unmistakable hue. As bronze is covered with a natural patina that protects it and lends it an unparalleled finish, it gives this special edition a beautiful color that contrasts with the grey dial which positions its 3N gold-plated appliques in an unusual direction.

An homage to the avant-garde spirit of Hublot, the highly anticipated watch with its grey calf and gold stitched strap is limited to 100 pieces.

DAVOSA Argonautic Bronze TT Limited Edition

Inspired by the historical background of bronze in its association with diving, DAVOSA has developed the brand’s latest diver’s watch, the Argonautic Bronze TT. After the Argonautic Bronze with complete bronze case, launched by DAVOSA last year, the successor model appears in two-tone design (TT = Two Tone), likewise limited to 300 pieces.

While the case is made of satin-finished stainless steel, the distinctive bezel with an illuminated dot in the triangle above the twelve is made of marine-grade bronze. While it initially gleams in a warm reddish golden tone, it will oxidise over time and develop an unmistakable patina that makes each piece unique.

The textured black dial under the scratch resistant and anti-reflective sapphire crystal bears the suitable inscription Vintage Super LumiNova in the colour “Old Radium” on the indices and hands.

The waterproof, 22 mm wide integrated rubber watch band is also black, with stainless steel folding clasp. Overall a combination that is as elegant as it is distinctive. The 43 mm diameter and 13.5 mm height of the case also are not least in representing this.

Underwater, the DAVOSA Argonautic TT scores with all the features of a professional diver’s watch: The case with screw down crown and back is waterproof down to 300 meters and equipped with a manual helium valve at the 10 o’clock position – this protects the watch and the diver alike: When the valve is open, the lighter helium molecules escape from the case first, which prevents the crystal and crystal seal from being blown open by excess pressure so that the watch will maintain its function as a reliable timepiece.

Dive times can be set precisely by using the rotating bezel ring – and thanks to the clearly structured dial with SuperLumiNova on the indices and hands, it is possible to read them quickly and clearly at any time, even underwater.

The DAVOSA Argonautic Bronze TT houses the Swiss automatic DAV 3021 movement with a power reserve of 38 hours. And the individual engraving of the model number on the case back as well as the elaborate wooden packaging are reminiscent of the fact that it remains an exclusive one-of-a-kind piece.

The suggested retail price is 898 Euros.

Delma Shell Star Bronze Limited Edition

The independent Swiss watch brand DELMA has been producing precision timepieces for over 95 years. A focus on divers’ watches was established early in the brand’s history and has remained a core component of their innovation and performance. The new Shell Star Bronze evokes heritage and progress in diving as well as in watchmaking.

DELMA’s early maritime success was due to the exceptional technical qualities of their timepieces which continuously evolved as diving grew in popularity and extremity. In the late sixties the brand’s first divers’ watch, the Periscope, demonstrated innovation and potential underwater.

When the Shell Star was introduced in 1975, it met the needs of professional divers and solidified DELMA’s position as experts in the field. These models paved the way for the resilient Blue Shark collection first launched in 2011 to further amplify the brand’s performance and expertise at greater depths.

Solid bronze was selected for the case of the new Shell Star for its unique propensity to evolve and become more personal with exposure to the elements. It is considered a “living” metal as interaction with water, air, and sun cause it to oxidize and create a natural individual patina. Thanks to this fascinating feature, each Shell Star Bronze matures differently with the life of the wearer.

These special characteristics make the new Shell Star Bronze charismatic on the surface and in deep water. Durability and comfort are also essential for the new edition. Bronze, an alloy of copper and tin, is particularly resistant to corrosion. It has long been used in naval and professional diving applications including portholes and deck fittings as well as dive equipment and has therefore proven to be ideal for the new divers’ watch.

The stainless-steel case back creates a barrier between the responsive bronze and the wrist while the characteristic concave form of the Shell Star case is utilized to ensure ultimate comfort.

In profile, the Shell Star is unmistakably derived from the seventies. The curvy silhouette is reminiscent of quintessential design elements of the period. The wide toothed bezel is accompanied by integrated horns that blend seamlessly into the curvaceous crown protection emanating stylish robustness.

In keeping with the established high standards, DELMA’s new Shell Star Bronze possesses precise dive time control with a matching unidirectional rotating bezel appointed with luminous indexes and numerals.

A helium escape valve and secure screw-down crown heighten the strength and functionality with water resistance to 500 meters. The three hands and indexes with Super-LumiNova C3 ensure great visibility in total darkness.

Faithful to the spirit of the collection, the Shell Star Bronze possesses the key historical characteristics of its predecessors: a spade central seconds hand, railway track and indexes in orange and white.

The sand textured dial in green, blue, and brown are reminiscent of the seabed and the combination of bold and earthy colors are quintessential seventies. The DELMA customized movement with gold rotor is revealed through the stainless-steel case back with central porthole.

The distressed leather bracelet can be paired to match or compliment the dial creating 5 limited edition combinations. Like its predecessors, the Shell Star Bronze outperforms in style and durability.

Hanhart PRIMUS Nautic Pilot Bronze Limited Edition

The new PRIMUS Nautic Pilot Bronze from Hanhart comes with an extremely hard bronze-coated case instead of a copper-tin alloy and is limited to 300 pieces. The Bronze coating of the case of the new Flieger chronograph has 1’300 Vickers (HV) and is over five times harder than usual steel cases, which have around 220 HV. The case is highly resistant to external influences and scratches.

The PRIMUS Nautic Pilot Bronze stands out from the crowd with its distinctive design. Due to its durability and build quality, it is the perfect companion for all kinds of activities: in the air or on the water, on the plane or on the yacht, on the beach or in the office.

Hanhart is well known for the production of aviation chronographs. In the past the manufactory from the Black Forest also built watches for the Marines. The inspiration for this new chronograph was the color of the ocean.

With the new PRIMUS Nautic Pilot Bronze Hanhart combines the themes of air and water: the royal blue dial color and the bronze case are reflecting the element water, while the clear dial design, the skeletonized hands and the canvas strap with leather inlay reflect the element air.

For the PRIMUS collection, which stands for a modern interpretation of the Hanhart history, Hanhart has decided to choose a case material that isn’t changing over time and is produced with modern technology. In comparison to copper-tin alloys the case of the PRIMUS Nautic Pilot Bronze will not age and will not apply copper rust.

Thus, the new aviator chronograph with a hardness of 1’300 Vickers (HV) is the perfect alternative for anyone who appreciates a bronze designed case and wants to retain this color, without a change or constant reprocessing of the case to restore the original condition.

Despite its modern, simple design, Hanhart’s typical features have not been left out. Significant recognition features of Hanhart chronographs are the fluted bezel with red index point and the red pusher.

Like the historic models from the 1930s, Hanhart relies on the proven bicompax design: the totalizers at 3 and 9 o’clock provide a harmonious appearance. They are as well very useful with display of the small second at 9 o’clock and the 30-minute stop at 3 o’clock.

Perfect daytime and nighttime legibility is ensured by Super-Luminova coated numerals, hands and indices. The flexible lugs lead to maximum comfort on each wrist.

Limited to 300 pieces, the PRIMUS Nautic Pilot Bronze will be retailed for 2950 Euro incl. VAT. Delivery starts in October.

Tockr D-Day C-47 “Alfred Pepper” Bronze Limited Edition

Specialized in aviation inspired watches, Texas-based watch brand Tockr has joined with the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) to introduce a new 75-piece limited series of bronze commemorative watches known as the D-Day C-47 “Alfred Pepper.” Tockr named the new watches after decorated 99-year-old World War II pilot 1st Lieutenant Alfred Leland Pepper, an Ohio-based veteran who flew a C-47 and other twin-engine planes during the war.

Tockr Founder Austin Ivey, himself a pilot and grandson of a WW2 pilot, personally presented one of the new bronze watches to Lt. Pepper at a CAF event in Urbana, Ohio, on May 13, 2019. The event also gave Lt. Pepper another chance to step back in time and go inside the cockpit of a historic WW2 era plane known as the D-Day Doll.

Following the initial launch of Tockr’s stainless-steel C-47 “That’s All, Brother” watches in late 2018, Lt. Pepper’s grandson contacted Tockr to purchase a watch for his grandfather. The gift of this commemorative watch seemed a fitting way to honor his grandfather’s service, since its dial is made from salvaged aircraft material from “That’s All, Brother,” the C-47 plane that led the D-Day combat invasion into Normandy.

Tockr learned that Lt. Pepper had served as a pilot in the 403rd Troop Carrier Group, the 64th Troop Carrier Squadron in Guadalcanal and the 13th Army Air Force. He flew twin-engine planes (including a C-47) without a navigator, relying simply on sight, radio, compass, waves, or the instruments of the day.

Logging over 1200 hours of flight time before war’s end, Lt. Pepper successfully executed many drop and resupply missions and troop transports and earned many medals for his distinguished performance. This news inspired Tockr Founder Austin Ivey and Co-Founder Sophy Rindler to name the new watch after Lt. Pepper. They also planned to fulfill one of Lt. Pepper’s lifelong wishes: to see one of those WW2-era planes again.

Tockr and CAF arranged a special private event for the Ohio-based veteran on Monday, May 13, at Grimes Airport in Urbana, Ohio to present him with his new “Alfred Pepper” watch, in front of a WW2-era C-53 plane which flew in the original D-Day squadron 75 years ago, led by the “That’s All, Brother” C-47 aircraft. “The D-Day Doll” dropped paratroopers and supplies, and also evacuated the wounded.

The stop in Urbana was just the first stop for this historic aircraft on a seven-week U.S. tour before it embarked again to Normandy to mark the 75th anniversary of the D-Day invasion. This June, the “D-Day Doll” C-53 will join CAF, “That’s All, Brother,” and over 250 other historically significant war birds to return to the skies over Normandy in tribute to D-Day veterans, and Tockr’s D-Day C-47 watches will be along for the ride. A portion of each D-Day C-47 “Leland Pepper” watch sold at tockr.com/dday will support CAF’s restoration and maintenance of these historic planes.

Since late 2018, Tockr has released two 100-piece editions of the D-Day C-47 watch in stainless steel, and the 75-piece bronze limited D-Day C-47 “Alfred Pepper” series is the latest extension of the collection, designed and produced by Tockr in partnership with CAF to mark the 75th anniversary of the D-Day invasion. No more than 500 D-Day C-47 watches will ever be made by Tockr, and no more than 75 bronze watches of that series will be made.

The dials of this 75-piece bronze edition are also cut from authentic salvaged aircraft material from the “That’s All, Brother” aircraft, which led the D-Day invasion into Normandy, 75 years ago. Tockr has taken the utmost care to faithfully preserve and protect the original, genuine markings and unique character of the airplane material through each dial.

Consequently, no two watches are alike. The D-Day C-47’s distinct dial types each featured dark to light hues of brown and green and varying degrees of painting, stamping, or weathering. “Clean Cut” dials feature light to medium weathering and exhibit some light, original distressing; “Stamped” dials feature medium weathering and select “Stamped” models also display original typography in yellow, brown or blue hues. “Hard Worn” models feature heavily weathered, crackled, and chipped dial material with large areas of exposed aluminum.

Through an anti-glare sapphire crystal, the wearer can admire each precious piece of history, preserved beneath a special anti-corrosion sealant. An airplane-shaped second-hand, coated in vivid orange SuperLuminova, ticks along over the dial, visually linking the watch to the storied “That’s All, Brother” aircraft.

The Austin, Texas-based brand commissioned legendary watch designer Emmanuel Gueit to design a 42mm cushion-shaped case for the watch series, and the case also houses a Swiss automatic ETA 2834 A6 movement that is assembled in Switzerland.

Each Tockr D-Day C-47 “Alfred Pepper” model comes presented in a military-inspired, keepsake wooden box with two straps: a drab green strap made from canvas webbing and a brown leather band.

The Tockr D-Day C-47 “Alfred Pepper” retails for $2,700.

Ulysse Nardin Marine Torpilleur Military, New Models in Black DLC Stainless Steel with Black Dial and Bronze Case with Midnight Blue Dial

This spring, Ulysse Nardin pays tribute to its military heritage by expanding its Marine Torpilleur Military collection with two new models in khaki and bronze – two military-style limited editions of 300 pieces each, which are at once formal and relaxed, urban and adventurous, elegant and liberated.

Dynamic curves and a clear military stature mark the identity of these two new contemporary watch dynamos – two interpretations that embody the timeless elegance of the military timepieces of yesteryear.

Originally featuring either an off-white “eggshell” dial to match a vintage-style light brown leather strap, or a black back-ground with orange Arabic numerals and a black strap with stitching in the same orange of the luminescent indexes, these two new editions are propelled to the forefront of UlysseNardin: a full black version in black DLC with black dial, touches of khaki on the indexes and a khaki “trellis fabric” strap, and a bronze version – an “evolving” material – with midnight blue dial.

The choice of bronze, a metal discovered in 3000 B.C. and widely used throughout naval history around the world for its robustness (propellers, diving suits, etc.), makes perfect sense.

Non-magnetic, bronze is highly resistant to corrosion thanks to the phenomenon of oxidation, which forms a protective oxide surface layer once stabilized. As such, each case naturally wears with use, ensuring a unique relationship between owner and timepiece. The Military Bronze model features a stainless-steel case back to avoid any risk of allergies.

Water resistant up to 50 meters and stamped with the iconic Torpilleur torpedo ship on the case back, both editions are housed in a majestic crown and a 44 mm case.

Equipped with the Manufacture UN-118 movement and a silicon anchor escapement, the model is COSC certified.

The small seconds, located at 6 o’clock, is embellished with the individual number in red. The model, engraved with the initials C.W. (“Chronometer Watch”) proudly displays its reference to military chronometers of the past, whose designs strictly adhered to the codes of the armed forces.

Hublot Classic Fusion Chronograph Berluti – Cold Brown (Titanium) and Cold Gold (Bronze)

For the fourth opus born from the partnership began in 2016, Berluti and Hublot have taken the Art of Fusion even further: the case features both the “Scritto” text and the patinated leather palette – iconic signatures of the luxury shoe brand. This model is available in titanium or bronze, paired with a Venezia Cold Brown or Cold Gold leather strap. This series will be exclusively available in Japan (Isetan, Hublot stores in Ginza, Osaka and Kyoto) and in the New York Hublot boutique from 19 June to 20 July 2019, and worldwide the next day.

Olga Berluti expertly developed this carefully studied process of applying essential oils and pigments which give the shoes their unique character, in order to defy time and the rules of colour. The “Scritto” – also one of the hallmarks of the luxury shoe brand – refers to an eighteenth-century French letter which Olga Berluti bought at auction.

Handwritten lines of text make their mark in this iconic collection, the expression of a labour of love crafted by hand. Encapsulating the Venezia leather – a natural material – in a water-resistant case was a feat in itself.

These two elegant hybrid timepieces are powered by the HUB1143 automatic chronograph movement and, from the strap to the dial; they showcase an infinite array of autumnal colours in all their contrasting shades. These timepieces are presented in a bespoke box containing a complete Berluti leather care set. Each version will be available in a limited edition of 200 pieces.

With a universal diameter of 42mm, the polished/satin-finished bronze case of this new Clifton Club will acquire a patina over time. At the heart of this exceptional case which is only 10.3 mm thick, is a proven “Swiss made” self-winding mechanical movement with 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz).

Baume & Mercier Clifton Club Bronze

The sporty lines of the Clifton Club Bronze are also highlighted by its screw-down bronze crown, its unidirectional rotating bezel, water-resistance to 10 ATM and a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The screw-down stainless steel case back is decorated with the Clifton Club collection coat of arms.

Baume & Mercier Clifton Club Bronze caseback

The Clifton Club Bronze is available in four versions. The first is the black dial and black “All Road” calfskin version with sailcloth-like patterns and a blue rubberised calfskin lining – available with an additional brown nubuck calfskin strap.

Baume & Mercier Clifton Club Bronze

The second version has a brown dial and a brown nubuck calfskin strap with off-white topstitching and an additional black rubber strap. The third version has a blue dial and blue rubber strap.

The fourth version has a green dial and a brown nubuck calfskin strap with off-white topstitching. Again, for these two last references, an additional bracelet is available: a black calfskin strap with a green rubberised calfskin lining.

Baume & Mercier Clifton Club Bronze

Each bracelet is equipped with a pin buckle with stainless steel loops.

Bell & Ross BR 03-92 Diver Green Bronze Limited Edition

With this new diving watch, Bell & Ross pursues its aspiration by evoking the historical roots of underwater exploration. This nod to the origins of these adventures can be seen on the case-back, which bears the engraving of a 1940s diver.

This timepiece captures the spirit of the military watch with the legacy from the past. In total compliance with military and diving requirements, the monochromatic olive dial is perfectly readable night and day thanks to its gold-plated appliqué indices with Superluminova® inserts.

Its case and bezel are made from bronze, a material that is deeply linked to diving history. Bronze was used in the past for deep-sea helmets and naval construction, in fitting parts and propellers. Although inalterable, bronze forms a patina over time depending on its environment and gaining a unique shade over the years. As time passes, the metal provides its wearer with beautiful tones of reddish brown or greyish green, giving it a robust and distinctive touch, and making it unique.

The specific alloy used for this new 42 mm timepiece is a satin-polished CuSn8, made of 92% copper and 8% tin. The khaki leather strap confirms the watch’s genuine vintage spirit but can be replaced with a rubber strap to be used while diving.

This limited edition distinguishes itself from the others through its dial. Bell & Ross introduces an appealing combination that makes two worlds meet for the first time. The alliance of Bronze –the diving industry’s metal of choice– and olive green –mirroring the color of the military camouflage uniform– works beautifully together, giving it a neo-retro and rugged look.

MeisterSinger Bronze Line

German watch brand MeisterSinger presents the first three watches in its new Bronze Line.

With the new Bronze Line, MeisterSinger underscores the instrumental character of its timepieces with three watches, each with its own unique character, in a case made of this traditional material.

Robust and weatherproof, bronze was for a long time the ideal casing for scientific instruments and devices, whether in seafaring or in the field of medicine. The fact that a bronze case is not only capable of reliably protecting a watch over a long period, but also reveals its age, was another reason for MeisterSinger to craft three of its most successful models in bronze. The choice of the color of the dial is quite striking. The historical case material, the numerals and the hand in “Old Radium”, and the instrument-like red tip of the hand provide a contrast to the deep blue sunburst finish of the dial.

Just as the stainless steel versions of the three MeisterSinger models differ from one another, they also have their own unique character when encased in bronze.

No.03 Bronze Line

The No.03 is a MeisterSinger classic model with its understated appearance and the unadorned clarity of its dial, and has already won prestigious design awards. Despite its imposing 43-millimeter diameter, it is a timepiece of simple elegance – but also a genuine eye catcher in the bronze version.

The reverse side of the watch features a six-fold screwed steel back with a glass exhibition window that provides an excellent view of the Swiss automatic movement. The No.03 in bronze comes with a hand-sewn calfskin watchstrap in dark brown and a bronze buckle. The single-hand watch will be available from April.

Technical details

Model: No.03 Bronze Line
Diameter: 43 mm
Case: Bronze, six-fold screwed exhibition back, 5 bar, sapphire glass
Movement: ETA 2824-2 or Sellita 200-1, automatic, date
Power reserve: 38 hours

Perigraph Bronze Line

The Perigraph follows the MeisterSinger principle of clear circular arrangement. The date is not displayed in a window, but on the open date disk at 12 o’clock, making the Perigraph particularly reminiscent of classical analog instruments. This impression is additionally reinforced in the bronze version, thus creating the image of noble commitment to scientific traditions.

The reverse side of the Perigraph features a six-fold screwed stainless steel back with a sapphire glass exhibition window that provides an excellent view of the Swiss automatic movement. The bronze watch with its dark brown, hand-sewn calfskin watchstrap and bronze buckle and will be available from April.

Metris Bronze Line

The Metris is a young, robust companion for any time and any place – for the office or the beach. Perhaps this particular model of the Bronze Line is more likely to pick up a few small scars on the case and a patina from outdoor use – after all, it is water-resistant up to 20 bar.

The contrast between these signs of ageing and the sunburst blue dial are therefore all the more interesting. The multifaceted structure of the case and the opulent blue dial make the Metris an eye-catcher in any situation, even if the gala calls instead of the wilderness.

The bronze case of the Metris has a diameter of 38 millimeters and a six fold screwed stainless steel back. The watch is powered by a Swiss automatic movement. The Metris in bronze comes with a dark brown calfskin watchstrap and a bronze buckle and goes on sale in April.

Tudor Black Bay Bronze, New Model with Slate Grey Dial

The famous Black Bay Bronze model, winner of the “Petite Aiguille” prize at the 2016 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève and a symbol of TUDOR’s naval heritage, is now available in a new slate-grey model with shaded dial.

Following the introduction of the first bronze model, a Black Bay with a chocolate brown dial, TUDOR continues to explore this rare bronze material with its characteristic patina. A new colour scheme based on slate grey now embellishes the dial and bezel of this imposing divers’ watch, whose aesthetics change over time and whose naval inspiration can be found in every detail. The impressive Black Bay Bronze also offers high technical performance thanks to its Manufacture Calibre MT5601.

The central feature of the Black Bay Bronze model is its 43-millimetre bronze case, an aesthetic reference to the brass used in old ships and other diving equipment. This “living” metal, a high-performance aluminium-copper alloy used particularly in naval engineering for submerged parts that need to be highly resistant to corrosion, will produce a subtle, unique patina on every watch case, based on the wearer’s habits. In addition to a highly functional appearance, in line with the world to which it pays tribute, the Black Bay Bronze presents entirely satin brushed finishes that guarantee homogeneous development of the patina.

The combination of a slate-grey dial, shaded from the exterior to the centre, and a bezel coupled with gold accents found on the hands and hour markers completes the model’s aesthetics.

The Manufacture Calibre MT5601 that drives the Black Bay Bronze model measures 33.8 millimetres, the widest diameter of all TUDOR’s calibres. It displays the hours, minutes and seconds functions, and its appearance and finishes are typical of TUDOR Manufacture calibres. Its openwork rotor is satin-brushed with sand-blasted details, and its bridges and plate have alternating polished sand-blasted surfaces and laser decorations.

Its build has been designed to ensure robustness, longevity and reliability, as has its variable inertia balance, which is maintained by a sturdy traversing bridge with a two-point fixation. Thanks to these qualities, together with its non-magnetic silicon balance spring, the caliber is certified as a chronometer by the Ofcial Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC). The movement delivers a 70-hour power reserve.

In an aesthetic tribute to the brand’s naval heritage, TUDOR has identified the historic uses of its watches and reinterpreted them in its latest models. For example, the French Navy had TUDOR watches delivered without bracelets and then fitted them with their own straps, handmade or otherwise. One of them, found on a period divers’ watch kept in the brand’s archives, is made of elastic recovered from French rescue parachutes. This ultra-functional relic, recognisable by its gold-coloured thread, is the reference behind the slate-grey woven jacquard strap available for the Black Bay Bronze. A second option is an aged black leather strap whose straight cut accentuates the rustic effect.

Like other models in the Black Bay line, the Black Bay Bronze model features a dial inspired by the TUDOR divers’ watches produced in the 1950’s. It also adopts the characteristic angular hands known to collectors as “snowflake” that appeared in the brand’s 1969 catalogue. Finally, the unprotected winding crown, like the holes drilled across the horns, are typical features of the first generations of TUDOR divers’ watches.

The Black Bay line is the result of the subtle blend of traditional aesthetics and contemporary watchmaking. Far from simply being an identical re-release of a classic, it brings together over 60 years of TUDOR divers’ watches and yet remains firmly anchored in the present. Whilst it is neo-vintage in conception, its manufacturing techniques, reliability, robustness and the quality of its finish are consistent with today’s most rigorous requirements.

Montblanc 1858 Collection – New Watch Models with Bronze Case and Khaki Green Dial

Montblanc has updated their 1858 Collection by unveiling new watch models that capture the spirit of the great outdoors with an elegant pairing of bronze case and khaki green dial.

Precise, legible and robust for use in extreme conditions, the legendary professional Minerva watches from the 1920s and 1930s were conceived for military use and exploration. The new timepieces from the 1858 Collection pays tribute to the Minerva Manufacture’s extraordinary heritage.

Hiking through forests, across fields or up to the highest peaks, the Montblanc 1858 Automatic, Montblanc 1858 Automatic Chronograph and Montblanc 1858 Geosphere are trusted companions for fearless adventurers and explorers.

The Montblanc 1858 finds its inspiration in the world of mountain exploration, with the introduction of a new khaki-green colour that enhances the connection to nature. A reinterpretation of the Minerva pocket watches and chronographs from the 1920s and 1930s, the new Montblanc 1858 timepieces capture the spirit of the past in a modern way combining a vintage looking bronze case enriched with aluminium that evolves over time and innovative, highly functional in-house complications.

The polished and satin-finished bronze cases feature slim bevelled horns while the case back is crafted from titanium featuring a bronze colour coating. The case back is also engraved with the emblematic Mont Blanc mountain, a compass and two crossed ice pick-axes, as a nod to the spirit of mountain exploration. Other details include fluted crowns that recall those on period timepieces and robust, domed, sapphire crystal glass boxes that highlight the vintage look of each watch.

For legibility and design, the khaki-green dials contrast with historical luminescent cathedral-shaped hands with a “cloisonné” design that have been slightly domed for one of the finest finishes. Other details include beige SuperLumiNova-coated Arabic numerals, a railway minutes track and the original Montblanc logo from the 1930s era with its historical font and emblem of the Mont Blanc Mountain.

Providing a contemporary look, the watches are equipped with high-quality woven “NATO” straps. These straps are handcrafted in France at a traditional weaving manufacture that has been in production for over 150 years. Thanks to this artisanal know-how, the “NATO” straps are refined, robust, durable and very comfortable on the wrist.

In order to guarantee the performance of the product line, all the Montblanc 1858 models undergo over 500 hours of simulated wear, with specific testing and controls under extreme conditions. The Automatic, Chronograph and Geosphere models are also water-resistant to 100 metres ensuring performance in all environments.

This year marks the arrival of four new 1858 editions: Two new 1858 Automatic models, an 1858 Chronograph and an 1858 Geosphere. The two new 1858 Automatic models come in a choice of a full-bronze 40mm case (previous versions had a steel case and a bronze bezel) paired with a khaki-green dial, or a steel case with a black dial.

The new 1858 Chronograph comes in a 42mm full bronze case with khaki-green dial, providing an ideal backdrop for the bi-compax counters. And last, but not least, the 1858 Geosphere, which is dedicated to the world’s Seven Summit mountaineering challenge, the holy grail of mountaineering adventures, is now also available in this new bronze/khaki colour scheme.

Speake-Marin London Chronograph Bronze

Speake-Marin expands their London Chronograph collection with two stunning bronze case models.

The London Chronograph collection is from now on a recurrent watch collection concept that re-edits iconic vintage movements every year. The use of vintage movements is indeed part of Speake-Marin’s strategy to develop and to exclusively work with exceptional movements.

For this new limited edition, Speake-Marin pays tribute to one of the most loved chronograph models of the 20th century: the Valjoux 72 Calibre. The Valjoux 72 is often seen as the finest manually-wound chronograph ever thanks to its column wheel and its three counters. Issued from the Valjoux 22 base calibre, the Valjoux 72 Calibre appeared in 1938 for the first time with 13 lines.

Then, it proposed a very perfect layout for great chronograph legibility:
– Two pushers
– Three sub dials: one for real-time seconds, 30-minute and 12-hour

The Valjoux 72 was a very popular chronograph movement, used by some of the largest and most successful movement manufacturers such as Rolex and Tag Heuer. In 2016, the auction sale of Paul Newman’s Rolex Daytona reached over one million dollars, and is therefore an incredible demonstration of the Valjoux 72 popularity among watch collectors.

Although these calibres were produced in large quantities in the second part of the 20th century, these movements are very rare nowadays. The movement components used for the London Chronograph were stored in a safe for many years and it took time for Speake-Marin to find working pieces. Once checked, the components have been assembled, decorated and controlled within our Speake-Marin atelier.

For these two new limited editions, the London Chronograph is housed in a 42mm bronze case with a three-dimensional dial. The dial is indeed in 3 dimensions with 3 floating white counters that indicate 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock, real time 60-second counter at 9 o’clock and 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock. The chronograph function can be easily read thanks to the orange colour code with the hours counter at 6 o’clock, the minutes counter at 3 o’clock and the central second hands.

Speake-Marin created for the first time its Piccadilly case in bronze to really echo the vintage spirit of the collection. The bronze material that is used to manufacture the case is an alloy of bronze and tin without any chemical treatment, which will generate fast oxidation and will make each timepiece unique. It will bring a natural patina that will enhance the overall London Chronograph look.

Two dial versions are available: one in blue or one in grey, both have colour gradients to give depth to the dial, a feeling which is strengthened by the 3D bronze indexes. The orange colour of the chronograph function is a tribute to sport racing counters, while the gold colour is used for the Hours Minutes Seconds function.

Last but not least, the central wheel at the centre of the dial is shaped like the Speake-Marin symbol and rotates with the hours. This central rotor is engraved with “London” and “Chronograph”, two words that appear at 12 o’clock.

Hublot Classic Fusion 45mm Chronograph Bronze “Bucherer Blue Edition”

Created in partnership with luxury watch retailer Bucherer, the Hublot Classic Fusion Bronze Bucherer BLUE EDITIONS timepiece features an elaborately designed bronze case and a mechanical automatic movement. Boasting a blue dial, this luxurious timepiece from the Bucherer BLUE EDITIONS skilfully blends innovation and tradition with an extraordinary combination of materials and revolutionary design to make a particularly strong masculine style statement.

The colour blue embodies innovation and tradition as well as modernity and dynamism for renowned watchmaker Hublot. This fascinating mix of opposites resulted in a truly unique approach to creating the new timepiece for the Bucherer BLUE EDITIONS.

The philosophy behind the Classic Fusion collection is the watch manufacturer’s vision to combine classic watchmaking, pioneering design and outstanding craftsmanship – a great source of inspiration for the new Bucherer BLUE EDITIONS model. The special edition Hublot has created for Bucherer celebrates this unique art of fusion and disruptive design featuring the combination of precious metals and industrial materials that Hublot pioneered with the Classic Fusion created as an homage to the brand’s original designs in the 1980s.

In the Classic Fusion Bronze Bucherer BLUE EDITIONS, Hublot for the first time combines a bronze case with a black ceramic bezel and six H-shaped titanium screws – an unsual and masculine blend of materials and colours that creates a bold style statement. The blue satin-polished dial with a sunray finish further emphasises the masculine design, and a blue rubber strap in combination with alligator leather adds the perfect finishing touches to this impressive creation.

This timepiece for the modern gentleman already features a beautiful natural patina, and Hublot’s distinctive bronze, with its subtle yellow and pink undertones, develops its individual character over time, ensuring every watch is a unique piece for its wearer.

The watch has a diameter of 45 mm and boasts a mechanical HUB1112 automatic movement with a 42-hour power reserve and a date display. The new special edition will be available exclusively in selected Bucherer stores in the UK and in online shop from 15 November 2018.

Bucherer, Chopard, Hublot, IWC Schaffhausen, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Longines, H. Moser & Cie., Panerai, Piaget, TAG Heuer, Tudor and Vacheron Constantin.

The central theme of the collection is the colour blue. For countless artists over the centuries, blue has been a source of inspiration, reminding us of the sky and sea. It has also become a symbol of the company Bucherer, and hence an identifying feature of the Bucherer brand.

Maurice Lacroix AIKON Automatic Bronze Limited Edition

Swiss watch brand Maurice Lacroix is expanding its AIKON Automatic range by launching a new limited edition model with bronze case and blue dial. Limited to 500 pieces worldwide, this new watch features high-quality design and top-notch finishing. The bronze case acquires a patina over time that is always unique, creates a watch that is trendy, exclusive and original.

The AIKON collection is the descendant of the Calypso. This benchmark model—the brand’s best-selling model of the 1990s—already incorporated the AIKON’s main distinctive features: an integrated water-resistant case and a flat sapphire crystal encircled by the famous six-arm bezel.

With its dynamic angles and pronounced polished and satin-finished surfaces, the AIKON
Automatic Bronze has a real presence on the wrist. It is eye-catching, from the bracelet to the case. The energetic, taut curves and sophisticated play of colors clearly communicate the modern, masculine dimension that Maurice Lacroix’s design imparted to this model with its 42 mm diameter. Its satin-finished edges are polished, as are its six signature AIKON arms on the bezel.

The blue dial of the AIKON Automatic Bronze features an eye-catching motif in relief. It is entirely decorated with small, regular squares. The applied hour markers that circle the dial are plated in pink gold and are supplemented with Arabic numerals at 3, 6, 9 and 12 o’clock. Its bold character, high standard of finishes and ergonomic design make the AIKON Automatic Bronze an extremely sophisticated watch, without impacting its price.

The AIKON Automatic presents a diameter of 42 mm. Water-resistant to 200 m, its steel case is a perfect match for its blue calfskin topstitched strap. It is closed by means of a butterfly clasp, in steel for the parts that are in contact with the skin, and in bronze for the parts that are visible.

DAVOSA Argonautic Bronze Limited Edition

In this timepiece, Swiss watchmaker DAVOSA combines a historic material with high functionality of a modern diving watch.

For centuries bronze has been the material of choice for nautical devices as well as for the first diving bells. Now some watch manufacturers have begun rediscovering this heritage material. Bronze is easy to work with and its unique, yellowish red sheen gives it a distinct look compared to materials like gold, silver and stainless steel.

The Argonautic Bronze comes in a limited edition of only 300 timepieces. Once again, Swiss watchmaker DAVOSA displays its expertise in making a watch with intricate mechanical features. While a helium valve, the use of high-tech ceramics and a sophisticated automatic movement ensure high levels of safety and precision when diving.

The surface of the watch reacts to its wearer and prevailing climatic conditions, so the DAVOSA Argonautic Bronze develops an individual patina in the shortest time. This makes each watch one of a kind in what is already a strictly limited edition.

When it comes to safety, quality and design, the timepiece certainly fulfils all the requirements of a first-class divers’ watch. At the heart of the watch resides a Swiss Sellita SW200 precision automatic movement, housed in a bronze case with a diameter of 42 mm and height of 13.5 mm.

Anti-reflective, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and a screwed crown complete the look. An elaborate relief of a stylised diving helmet with a water surround decorates the screw-down, black PVD-plated, stainless steel back and indicates that the watch is part of a limited edition.

The hands, indices and the satined or polished bezel inlay made from high-tech ceramic and detailed with vintage, ‘old radium’ SuperLuminova team up beautifully with the colour play of the bronze and plated stainless steel.

In combination with the clearly structured, either blue or black dial, a glance suffices to instantly grasp all important information. Finally, the DAVOSA Argonautic Bronze is a professional divers’ watch, offering water resistance down to 300 metres where light is scarce.
