BOUCHERON Ajourée Masy le Caméléon

To support the Only Watch 2021 charity auction, BOUCHERON has donated a gem-set watch.

BOUCHERON Ajourée Masy le Caméléon is a jewelry watch paved with round diamonds, multicolored sapphires, tsavorites and ruby along the chameleon’s body, made of polished white gold. This creation is incredibly complex, due to the chameleon’s particular curved form. This high-jewellery creation features a mother-of-pearl dial with 4 diamond indexes and a silver satin strap.

Boucheron AJOURÉE Amvara Only Watch 2019

Exclusively for the Only Watch 2019 Charity auction, Boucheron has created AJOURÉE Amvara, a jewellery watch. In Sanskrit, « amvara » means infinite space and the snake, symbolizing both happiness and grace, is also a symbol of protection.

An endlessly entwined snake carved in volume around the white gold case and set with diamonds is here to symbolize this idea. Round diamonds are set along the top of the snake’s body, made of polished yellow gold. This creation uses 166 diamonds and is incredibly complex, due to the snake’s particular curved form. The snake coils around the case several times, to remind the infinite symbol.

Boucheron Epure Collection – Epure Automatic 38mm/ 42mm and Epure Automatic Chronograph, 43mm

With the Epure collection, Maison Boucheron becomes an architect of time. With its strong lines, and classic esthetic, the Maison plays on contrasts that come together in a celebration of simplicity, this promising a new and timeless elegance.

Following the launch of the first gold version in gold two years ago, Epure is now introducing 6 steel models for an even more contemporary look. Beneath the Epure Acier’s cleverly simple round case lies a highly complex design and a creative esthetic that enhances Boucheron’s iconic motifs more than ever before.

More than just a timepiece, Epure represents a philosophy of life and embodies Frédéric Boucheron’s vision of time by preserving only the essential to light up life’s most joyful hours.

Special Features

The Cabochon: Electric blue in colour, it has a subtle glow that is unique to the intimate savoir-faire of the Jeweler of Lights. Known as the ‘oracle stone’ in antiquity, this polished sapphire is positioned at the top of the winding crown and of the dial, drawing attention to this iconic Maison Boucheron motif more than ever before.

The Double Gadroon: Placed together, these two rings of polished gold symbolize the eternal love between two beings who are forever bound to one another. The double gadroon is one of the Maison’s oldest motifs.

Oversize 3 & 9 Markers: The oversize 3 and 9 markers are a tribute to the year 1893, when the Boucheron boutique opened at 26 Place Vendôme. Frédéric Boucheron was the first jeweler to set up a boutique in this famous Parisian square and chose the location for its exceptional light.

Clous de Paris motif: A true hallmark of the French capital, the clous de Paris motif reflects the city and its architecture. It is used in many creations (including the legendary Quatre) and creates light effects that are contrasted with the brilliance of the Epure dial.

Boucheron Ma Jolie

Boucheron, the jeweller of precious time, reinvents the jewelry watch exclusively for women. A timepiece in Boucheron’s very latest jewellery line: the Ma Jolie watch draws its inspiration from the codes of Fifties glamour and femininity. It evokes days when beauty meant sophistication and dazzle, and sensuality meant power of seduction with plenty of drama. Today, many women covet a return to a light and assumed femininity, searching for a simple, refined aesthetic.

On either side of the small round case, illuminated with diamonds and reminiscent of a dainty powder compact, two delicate and precious-looking powder puffs twirl. The delicately sculpted bracelet links overlap as to elegantly embrace even the most slender wrist. And finally, the jeweller’s clasp discreetly disappears, creating the impression that the item is crafted from a single piece.

The fine pink gold, carefully worked on, clearly expresses a form of sensuality that only needs to come in contact with skin to shimmer fully, with all its warm glints, and exalt the charm of the woman who wears it. The delicate creation highlights Boucheron’s perfect mastery of different setting techniques used to enhance every single gem: the diamonds are grain-set on the case and link, and bezel-set on the corollas.

Under the iridescent mother-of-pearl dial, enriched with four diamond indexes, lies a quartz movement perfectly adapted to the watch’s feminine dimensions. In a tribute to the olden days’ dainty gestures, the time is adjusted through the case back thanks to a tiny key.

Boucheron Ava Deco

Boucheron, the first jeweller to have chosen Place Vendôme for its premises, owes much of its success to women who have been ardent admirers of its inspired creations. Boucheron started creating its first wristwatches for women in the late 19th century. The lady’s watch – a symbol of emancipation – soon became a must-have fashion accessory. Jeweller’s watches are now a genre in their own right, and the Paris House takes pride in having been one of its pioneers.

As a tribute to radiant and eternal femininity for 2010, Boucheron has created two jewellery watches of outstanding elegance: Ava Déco and Ma Jolie. Both styles are deliberately petite and ultra-feminine, drawing their inspiration from mythical glamour, in an ode to precious sensuality.

Inspired by Ava Gardner’s dignified and mythical beauty, the Ava Déco line’s decorative and ornamental pattern serves to enhance the world’s most desirable precious stone: diamond.

The fabulous jewellery watch, with its delightful interlacing diamond motifs over grey gold, catches the light from every direction, like a Hollywood icon. Like diamond lacework, the aerial motifs delicately intertwine with unparalleled virtuosity: each stone, carefully selected for its radiance, purity and cut quality, is enhanced by a delicate and refined setting technique that lets it shine unhindered and sparkle with a thousand lights.

This timeless and sensual jeweller’s creation features a sleek mother-of-pearl dial enriched with four diamond indexes, under which a quartz movement runs. For a truly glamorous touch, the time is set with a tiny key, which actions a push-button into the case back. Ultimate jewellery detail: the clasp securing the bracelet slips almost unnoticeably under a set motif.

Boucheron Reflet XL Château Latour Vintage 2005

Ever since the 1920’s, precious woods have been one of Boucheron’s materials of choice. In 2010, an exceptional kind of wood inspired the Boucheron workshops to create an innovative and precious timepiece: the two century old oak in which Château Latour’s Grand Millésime 2005 and 1st classified great wine of Pauillac, was jealously aged.

This wood is much more than just a material: the myth of one of the world’s finest vintage wines is embodied in this new version of the Reflet XL watch. In a strictly vintaged edition of 100 pieces, this true collector’s item can be savoured with the utmost delight.

Where transitioning fashions are often the rule, the Reflet watch holds a special place. Back in 1947, its sleek, streamlined design and highly innovative interchangeable strap with invisible clasp made this piece of fine watchmaking a true icon. With the House’s 150th anniversary, the Reflet line was complemented with an XL version, fitted with the superb GP 4000 movement and reflecting the current taste for superlative shapes and intricate mechanisms.

This intensely original watch fully embodies Boucheron’s art of turning a beautiful story into an object of passion for fine connoisseurs of Premier Cru and watchmaking. During the maturation process of Latour’s great wine, one of the key moments is when the wine acquires its finishing traits, revealing the complexity of its flavours, within barrels made of carefully selected oak.

The intimate and mysterious union of wine and wood operates in the silence and darkness of the ancestral “Chais” (wine cellar) in a “perfect exchange”. The wood slowly impregnates, absorbing a small amount of wine – charmingly known as “the Angel’s share”.

This “Angel’s wood”, with its warm, sensual tones of carmine red and crimson, has given birth to a particularly striking masculine timepiece, both powerful and delicate yet restrained. To enhance these few millimetres of genuinely noble wood, Boucheron called upon the finest experts in their art. From the staves of a barrel – formerly home to the precious nectar – the inlayers painstakingly selected the finest wood sections bearing the unique imprint of the sensual “robe”, or colour, of Latour’s fine 2005 Grand vin.

About Château Latour

The Château Latour estate is located at the heart of wine-growing Médoc, where the very legend of Bordeaux wine was born. The finest portion of its vineyards, known as “l’Enclos”, overlooks the estuary of the Gironde, the river to which it owes much of its geological complexity. With its mild climate, the estate benefits from a truly exceptional site.

The unique terroir obtained Premier Cru (First Growth) classification in 1855, alongside Lafite, Margaux, Haut-Brion, with the addition of Mouton-Rothschild in 1973. Today, the men and women who work here – some of them for several generations – remain deeply committed to a permanent quest for excellence, allowing them to consistently produce one of the world’s finest red wines.

Boucheron Crazy Parade Ronde “Seconde Folle” Peacock Watch

Boucheron is adding to the miscellany of its strange and seductive “Cabinet of Curiosities” with a proudly parading peacock. The majestic yet dainty bird seems to have leapt out of a medieval illumination and landed on the face of this most attractive timepiece, which features the finest virtuoso techniques drawn from the arts of enamel, engraving and stone setting.

In order to create a majestic, almost larger-than-life peacock that seems to overrun the limited space it has been assigned, the experienced and complementary craftsmen have each provided the best of their skills. The first of them gave volume to the metal; the second one tamed fire and its palette of mineral colours; and the third set carefully-selected stones in the ocellus of each feather in its majestic plumage, without ever altering any of the previous work.

The highly intricate watch, with its fine and delicate work, features translucent, opalescent and opaque enamels crafted with the “champlevé” technique, which greatly contribute to creating the kind of rare and indescribable magic experienced when discovering the piece. But what makes this a truly superlative work is that the rotary motion given by the “Seconde Folle” complication – associated with the GP 4000 calibre – creates the illusion that the Peacock is actually breathing.

Like a phoenix clad in its richest array, the bird almost seems to have a glowing soul, to the point that it escapes from the space in which it was confined, its feathers spilling over the bezel, itself intricately enamelled and set with precious gems. The animal, thus adorned with colours enhanced by the transparency and deep colours of its materials, arouses aesthetic emotions of a kind seldom experienced.

Boucheron Crazy Ma Jolie Watch

Since 2007, Boucheron had essentially drawn from its bestiary to offer boldly-styled watches, often tinged with a hint of malice. For this year of transition into a new decade, Boucheron has chosen to explore a totally new field of emotions and enrich its palette with designs dedicated to those for whom sensuality is a delightful weapon of seduction.

Yielding to Crazy Ma Jolie’s whimsical spirit is almost a form of euphoria, triggered by the symbolism of its sensual and spiral shapes, like an allegory of a whirlwind of senses.

The dial’s most noteworthy feature is its sophisticated construction, the centre of which is adorned with ribbon motifs set with diamonds and colour stones to form an interlacing pattern resembling sheer lacework. Like petticoats caught up in a frenzied dance, the motifs will exalt the femininity of any woman who decides to wear it on her wrist. On a mother-of-pearl background, they form the centre of an instinctively eye-catching offset composition of gold openwork. Like a tiara, the floating corolla features a bezel-set diamond at the end of each gold thread.

The eye follows the path of its suggestive curves and is eventually caught by the seconds hand, its artful gradient of blended colours revealed in a hypnotic round dance and its pace set by a self-winding mechanical movement from the Girard-Perregaux manufacture. This jewel beautifully reflects passing time, seduces the eye and reveals the magic of femininity, its mystery and sensuality, with the right amount of sparkle and glitter.

The Crazy Ma Jolie watches come in three versions, each unveiling a different virtuoso stone-setting method. With their powerful expression of craftsmanship, these watches vibrate with intense sensuality and bring the jeweller’s art and sensitivity to the very heart of the timepiece. However, as rules are made to be broken, the final piece is fashioned in such a way that the baguette diamonds set on the bezel seem to have been propelled outside the dial by the frenzied dance within.

Boucheron Shéhérazade Tourbillon

The Shéhérazade Tourbillon watch, sculpted from white gold, has the power to evoke Oriental tales, as if a genie had risen from a lamp.

Striking as traditional jewellery can be, glittering with dozens of little coins, with their seamed or beaded circles, catching the eye of the beholder, carried away by the stones’ dazzle and craftsmanship deployed. The artisans, masters of material, have put in motion the sensuality of an oriental princess in an ethereal ballet that music lovers will eagerly liken to the dance of the seven veils in Richard Strauss’ Salome.

And if musicality can be heard in the fleeting hours by who knows how to listen to a watch’s heart, the flying tourbillon shall become the centre of a perfectly-timed ronde – its hypnotic rhythm creating the ability for who owns it to travel in thought. And the pace of seconds rings like an echo in one of the Persian king’s marble halls. Like drops of water on the surface of a mother-of-pearl basin, these infinitely-repeated notes deconstruct the concentric circles they form, the orderly nature of a dial designed like a mosaic formed of subtly-changing colours.

The motive, inspired by the opulence of ancient Persian jewels and ingrained like a precious inlay of fine pearl in pink gold – set with diamonds, rubies, spinels, orange and yellow sapphires – and in white gold – set with diamonds, blue and pink sapphires and amethysts.

The Tourbillon Shéhérazade watch is sensual, poetic, and very opulent. It is the work of a passionate jeweller, which emanates intense charm that aesthetes are sure to appreciate as an expression of oriental extravagance. Every little detail – from the tourbillon carriage formed of foliage partly set with diamonds, to the intricate paving of the dial – invites the beholder to yield to the Arabian Nights’ delights.

Boucheron Ladyhawke Tourbillon

The creative partnership between Boucheron and Girard-Perregaux, initiated in 2007, culminates today in a truly unique piece beating with the famous Tourbillon with three gold Bridges. This movement is a modern, ethereal reinterpretation of the calibre Constant Girard-Perregaux presented at the 1889 Paris Universal Exhibition, earning him a gold medal – the very same year Frédéric Boucheron was similarly rewarded in the Jewellery category.

With Ladyhawke Tourbillon, a falcon clutching a watch powered by the Tourbillon with three gold Bridges movement, Boucheron is further strengthening its image as a jeweller specialised in watches, with animals as the focus point of its creations. With this unique piece, the House’s master craftsmen are offering lovers of rare, soulful objects a falcon fashioned from gold adorned with a plumage of precious stones. This majestic prince of the heavens, ever a loyal companion to the powerful, evokes memories of the Italian medieval legend recounted in the 1985 film Ladyhawke.

The Girard-Perregaux Tourbillon with three gold Bridges movement, a prowess of technique and excellence, is something of an icon in the world of High Watchmaking. The mechanism, with its exceptional finishes, has benefited from the careful attention of master watchmakers. The Tourbillon itself consists of 72 components for a diameter of one centimetre and a total weight of 0.3 gram, and is entirely hand-decorated and assembled. Crafted from solid gold in the High Jewellery workshop at 26, Place Vendôme, it has been fashioned to closely hug the contours of the oval case.

This piece of uncommon presence is set with a gradient of diamonds totalling more than 25 carats, and truly stands out as a milestone in Boucheron’s art of transmuting raw matter into a jewel expressing powerful and positive values of precision, force, courage and speed. Artfully articulated so that the delicate feathers barely brush the wrist of its wearer, Ladyhawke Tourbillon will reveal the magic within whoever chooses to make this graceful bird their emblem.

Boucheron MEC Collection: MEC Bat and MEC Feather

Nature is a favourite theme for the House of Boucheron. The tame MEC collection, which was launched in 2003, has been grown over by a wild and magnificent fauna and given in to the charm of exuberance.

Enlivened by the touch of excess that transfigures simple objects into pure creations, the MEC collection took a radical turn in 2007 with the “Jungle” series. After last year’s MEC Cobra and in keeping with its values, Boucheron once again brings together the know-how of high end watch making and creative world of French jewellery in two quirky and iconoclastic models, the kind that the brand has a secret talent for: the MEC Bat and MEC Feather.

MEC Bat

It is a bat, night-loving creature fabricated by the House of Boucheron’s brimming imagination and seeking repose on the case of the new MEC jeweller’s model. After the chameleon, turtle and snake, here comes the bestiary collection’s newest hunting trophy.

Adorned with rubies, multi-coloured sapphires and diamonds, this strange animal seems to have swooped down directly from the world of Johann Strauss the Younger and will surely put a twinkle in the eye of a few connoisseurs seeking originality and elegance.

Technical details

  • Steel case
  • Self-winding mechanical movement, visible through a sapphire glass decorated with the shape of a Bat
  • White gold Bat set with 82 stones: 51 blue sapphires, 28 purple sapphires, 2 rubies and a black diamond
  • Grey-blue mother of-pearl dial
  • Night blue python skin strap

MEC Feather

The MEC collection’s new “Feather” model is the watch-making incarnation of party time, adding a touch of lightness to this daily timekeeper. It was evidently inspired by the “Belle Époque” and its ostrich feather boas, but also by the huge white feather wraparound fans toted by revue dancers in hip Cabarets. The feather is not just a quill – the appendage of writers – but also a symbol of opulence, what foreign visitors see as the slightly piquant aspect of “Gay Paree”, part of what composes the glamorous image of the City of Lights.

Like an ethereal plume fluttering away from a party favour, the delicate white gold feather set with 117 stones looks like it might fly away with the whims of the slightest breeze. This arabesque, with its fanciful undulations, partly covers the steel case and reveals the pomp of a baroque world of all-night entertainment and joie de vivre.

Technical details

  • Steel case
  • Self-winding mechanical movement, visible through a sapphire glass decorated with the shape of a feather
  • White gold feather set with 117 stones: 9 diamonds, 50 blue sapphires, 26 purple sapphires, 32 yellow sapphires
