Ateliers deMonaco Admiral Chronographe Flyback Stradivari

Swiss haute-horlogerie brand Ateliers deMonaco presents a special edition of its Admiral Flyback Chronograph in collaboration with architect and designer Luca Stradivari.

Available in four limited editions (steel, 18 carats rose gold, white gold and yellow gold), the new Admiral Chronographe Flyback Stradivari watch is a spectacular creation with an eye-catching geometric dial and the ingenious fly-back chronograph function.

Ateliers deMonaco Admiral Chronographe Flyback Stradivari

Luca Stradivari is a direct descendant of legendary luthier Antonio Stradivari – creator of the famous Stradivarius violin. Luca Stradivari has infused the new Admiral Chronographe Flyback Stradivari watch with his exhilarating creative energy. His keen eye for curves, lines and perspective has influenced the silhouette of this timepiece, its relief and dynamism as daring as its creator.

More than an architect and designer, Luca Stradivari, has also inherited a particular sensibility from his ancestors that has undoubtedly intensified his pursuit of perfection.

Produced by the Italian family Stradivari during the 17th and 18th centuries, Stradivarius violins are now a highly sought after antique masterpieces. Today, the auction price of these exceptionally collectable violins fetches up to several millions of US dollars. Whether it is a mechanical luxury watch or a classic violin, attention to detail is a must.

Some traditional techniques remain secret within a family. For example, no one has definitively solved the mystery of the legendary Stradivarius and its uniquely special sound. In spite of the many theories surrounding the specific make-up of the varnish used, the internal wood structure, its chemical treatment for improving its resonance, none of it has been established for sure to this day.

Growing up in a world where he came into contact with very finely crafted objects produced to the highest standards from an early age, Luca Stradivari has developed his vision of the perfect object made from the finest materials.

Ateliers deMonaco Admiral Chronographe Flyback Stradivari

Housed in a 42 mm case enhanced by a raised middle, the well-defined black geometric dial with intertwining lines capable of transporting its admirers to other horizons reveals the dreamlike spirit of Luca Stradivari.

Coated and curved, bold polished triangular hour markers in opposite directions frame this fantasy and give the piece its dynamism. Elegant dauphine hands indicating the hours, minutes and seconds of the chronograph glide over the signature of the architect and designer, given pride of place at 6 o’clock. At 9 o’clock, you’ll find the small seconds counter and on the opposite side, the chronograph’s minutes counter.

Ateliers deMonaco Admiral Chronographe Flyback Stradivari

The open case back allows the dMc-760 calibre to be admired. Decorated by hand, there is intricate circular satin-finishing, perlage, Côtes de Genève, chamfering and traits tirés adorning the bridges. Completing the piece is the signature 22 carat gold oscillating weight, a feature of all the brand’s automatic watches, carefully revolving around the movement. Beating at a frequency of 28,800 vph, it has a power reserve of 38 hours.

There are four limited edition models available: one steel model limited to 88 pieces and 36 in 18 carat gold, including: 12 white gold, 12 yellow gold and 12 rose gold.

Ateliers deMonaco Admiral Chronographe Flyback Stradivari

Finally, to ensure the various elements can be appreciated in exceptional detail, the two sapphire crystals on the case (bezel and case back) benefit from an anti-reflective treatment on both sides.

The flyback function first appeared in 1936, enabling pilots and elite athletes to time themselves over long and short distances. A straightforward concept, it allows the chronograph to be stopped, reset and restarted with a single press of the push-piece, rather than three successive presses.

True to its goal of making complications both easier to use and more efficient, the patented Admiral Chronographe Flyback by Ateliers deMonaco is no exception. This feature measures a succession of elapsed times, while eliminating many repetitive and unnecessary operations. The flyback module has only 96 parts, making it one of the most efficient flyback modules in the world, as well as one of the most affordable, thanks to its ingenious construction.

Ateliers deMonaco Admiral Chronographe Flyback Armure Collection, New Models

Inspired by the armour of the Chevalier en Armure represented in the seal of Monaco, the new Admiral Chronographe Flyback Armure watches are truly exclusive and innovative pieces for connoisseurs and horology lovers.

Back in 2017, Ateliers deMonaco launched the first Admiral Chronographe Flyback Armure timepieces featuring an Armure-treated stainless steel case combined with a multi-layered anti-reflective coated sapphire crystal glass. One year later, the Maison partnered with Prato Automobiles choosing this specific Armure watch case to create two Admiral Chronographe Flyback models to be part of the Prato line.

The 2019 models are available in two different finishings. The first one comes with a beautiful blue dial adorned with polished silver-coloured Roman numerals and dauphine shaped hands, offering an elegant and harmonious contrast. The second one has a black and white aesthetic; the watch features a silver coloured dial & hands whereas the Roman numerals are black PVD coated.

Ateliers deMonaco Admiral Chronographe Flyback Armure Collection

Both models are embellished with a beautiful guilloche decoration at the centre of the dial as well as Ateliers deMonaco’s signature lozenge-shaped hour-marks.

To power the Admiral Chronographe Flyback timepieces, the patented self-winding dMc-760 calibre is used. The movement features an innovative “direct return-to-zero” mechanism that helps the flyback function to be even more accurate. This piece of technology is encased in an ergonomic 42mm case diameter, strengthened by Ateliers deMonaco’s unique Armure treatment.

The case is exposed to a chemical process including carbon diffusion at low temperature which hardens the steel’s surface. When using this method, the hardness is increased from 220 Vickers to 1200 Vickers, making the metal about five times more scratch-resistant.

Ateliers deMonaco Admiral Chronographe Flyback Armure Collection

True to its passion for tradition and Haute Horlogerie know-how, the Admiral Chronographe Flyback Armure timepieces have an open case back through which one can admire the perfectly decorated caliber featuring the signature a 22K gold rotor.

All bridges are hand decorated with circular satin-finishing, circular graining, Côtes de Genève, chamfered and drawn line decorations.

Ateliers deMonaco Tourbillon Oculus 1297 Only Watch

Ateliers deMonaco is donating a one-of-a-kind timepiece, the Tourbillon Oculus 1297 Only Watch, to 8th edition of Only Watch biennial auction, to support the treatment of muscular dystrophy diseases.

Equipped with the manufacture dMc-980 calibre, the watch is designed, produced, and assembled in Ateliers deMonaco’s workshops. Its patented tourbillon movement called Tourbillon XP1 (eXtreme Precision 1 minute) is one of the most precise in the world with a tolerance between 0 to 2 seconds per 24 hours.

Ateliers deMonaco Tourbillon Oculus 1297 Only Watch 2019

The hand-decorated calibre boasts chamfering, circular graining and satin-finishing decorations, a 22k gold rotor representing the Principality of Monaco’s crown and includes a silicium escape wheel and lever.

Ateliers deMonaco Tourbillon Oculus 1297 Only Watch

A major innovation for this timepiece is its 44mm watch case made from a technique used in the automotive industry called forged carbon.

For this timepiece, Ateliers deMonaco developed a new method including 18k gold in the process: carbon fibre, gold and resin are mixed together and placed in a mould. The mixture is then heated and pressed to form a block. After the moulding process, the case is meticulously refined to achieve the perfect shape. Thanks to this exclusive method, the case is thus unique.

Ateliers deMonaco Tourbillon Oculus 1297 Only Watch 2019

The timepiece features a multi-layered decentred dial treated with dark grey PVD and is decorated with a lozenge pattern in relief. Roman numerals and dauphine hands finally come to complete the already beautifully detailed dial. Hours and minutes can be read on the dial while the small seconds can be read on the Tourbillon opening at 6 o’clock.

Ateliers deMonaco Poinçon de Genève – Classique

In 2015, Ateliers deMonaco became a member in an elite club of a few watchmaking houses to have earned the Geneva seal.

To receive this recognition, each watch component has to be made with the utmost care and be finely decorated. Moreover, each movement must be assembled, adjusted and encased in the brand’s manufacture in Geneva. This is a controlled label, guaranteed by the state of Geneva and a beacon of exceptional quality ensuring that the purchased product is both flawless and authentic.

This year, two new prestigious models join this prestigious collection and further express the Brand’s attachment to watchmaking tradition- making timepieces that are not only a mere measurement instrument, but a true work of art.

Limited to 18 pieces each, the watches are offered in an 18K rose or white gold case. The Monaco prince’s palace logo has been placed at 6o’ clock to pay homage to the brand’s heritage and hand-applied roman indexes have been added to enhance its elegance.

Ateliers deMonaco Poinçon de Genève – Classique

The watches are designed to achieve a luxurious aesthetic appeal on both sides. Thanks to its see-through case-back, the wearer can admire the hand decorations on the movement such as chamfered, drawn flanks, drafted marks and mirror polish on the steel parts. For the bridges: chamfered, drawn flanks, circular graining and Côte de Genève decorations.

This limited-edition collection is presented with a black and a brown hand-stitched alligator leather strap with either an 18K white or rose gold tongue buckle.

Ateliers deMonaco Poinçon de Genève – Classique rose gold watch

In addition to the Poinçon de Genève certification, these new models include the patented Ateliers deMonaco “Freebeat” adjustment system.

In a conventional regulation system, pins on both side of the hairspring are used to regulate how much it can wind and unwind, regulating the speed of the balance wheel. By allowing the hairspring to bounce against these pins, in combination with gravity forces, the unfortunate side effect of these collisions is that it interferes with the precision of the movement itself.

The “Freebeat” regulation system controls the hairspring’s length with an adjustable crémaillère (straight bar with teeth on one edge, allowing it to be fixed at different lengths) obsoleting the need for pins and avoiding any interference.

To bring power to these timepieces, the watchmakers of Ateliers deMonaco have equipped them with the in-house and patented manual dMc-708 calibre, featuring a 38-hour power reserve and ruling the central hour, minute and second hands. The ultra-thin characteristics of this calibre enabled the brand to encase it within a delicate 9.2mm- high case.

Ateliers deMonaco La Sirène Champagne

Ateliers deMonaco, watchmaking manufacture, first launched its La Sirène timepiece in 2009. 9 years later, the brand offers a new Champagne edition of this fine ladies’ watch.

This delicate piece offers a perfect balance between watchmaking tradition and dazzling beauty. Luxuriously composed of gold and diamonds, this piece of jewellery will bring charm and elegance to any feminine wrist.

Developed and made in Ateliers deMonaco’s manufacture in Plan-les-Ouates, the dMc-700 automatic movement is assembled by the Maison’s passionate watchmakers. The masterpiece of this movement is its hand-engraved, 22-carat gold rotor which represents the Principality of Monaco’s coat of arms. Ateliers deMonaco is the only brand allowed to use this shield.

Ateliers deMonaco La Sirène Champagne watch

This traditional movement is encased by a 18-carat rose gold case magnified by 617 champagne-coloured diamonds, set to fit the shape of the case perfectly. In perfect harmony with the case, a delicate flower called King Protea is represented on the dial. Three rows of 24 lozenge-shaped settings welcome 120 champagne diamonds to create the corolla.

The heart of the flower is made of white mother-of-pearl, and is surrounded by a rose gold ring. Finally, to echo the colour of the white mother-of-pearl and the base of the rhodium-plated rose gold dial, a white alligator strap enhances the whole.

This new timepiece, La Sirène Champagne, is the fourth reinterpretation of the original La Sirène Topaze piece created in honour of HSH Princess Charlene of Monaco.

This flagship model of the women’s Ateliers de Monaco collection is limited to 8 pieces only.

Ateliers deMonaco Poinçon de Genève Jet d’Eau de Genève Collection

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the brand, Ateliers de Monaco introduces two new models in its Poinçon de Genève collection. These Métiers d’Art timepieces boast a new grand-feu enamel dial.

The Geneva water jet is the city’s most famous emblem and has been chosen to be featured on these two new dials using the grand-feu enamel decoration.

To create the Jet d’Eau de Genève dial, several enamel techniques are used. On a base plate made of 18 carats white gold, the first step is called cloisonné enamel. It involves the creation of compartments with small gold threads and then precise enamel filing.

Ateliers deMonaco Poinçon de Genève Jet d’Eau de Genève watch

The second technique used on this dial is called champlevé enamel. Introduced in the XII century, it has been created alternatively to the cloisonné one and gathers engravers and enamellers. The engraver produces the holes in which the enameller will fill different coloured enamels.

The effect is then emphasised by the engraver and his chisel with which he will add a final touch to every18 carats white gold partitions. This step is the most delicate one. If the engraver puts too much pressure, he can separate the enamel from the wall and ruin all the work achieved.

Finally, the last step is the sublime grand-feu enamel, a technique which consists to melt a glass composite called silica at a temperature up to 500°C. In the case of the Ateliers deMonaco Jet d’Eau de Genève dial, the temperature is raised up to 790°C. Several layers are necessary in order to get the colour gradient. Thanks to its complex artisanal process, every single dial is unique.

The Ateliers deMonaco Poinçon de Genève Jet d’Eau de Genève Collection is available withan 18 carats white gold and an 18 carats rose gold models are available in a 40mm case diameter and a 9.2 mm case thickness.

Ateliers deMonaco Grand Prix de Monaco 1968 Unique Piece

The year 2018 marks the 50th anniversary of prestigious Grand Prix Automobile of Monaco edition 1968 and the 10th anniversary of Ateliers deMonaco, the haute-horlogerie brand originated in Monaco.

Now based in Switzerland, Ateliers deMonaco marks these historical milestones by creating a bespoke watch named « Grand Prix de Monaco 1968 » inspired by the official poster of this Grand Prix signed by Michael Turner.

Ateliers deMonaco Grand Prix de Monaco 1968 Unique Piece

The official poster of Grand Prix de Monaco 1968 edition featured the image of 1967’s winner, Denny Hulme driving his Babham-Repco.

Major highlight of this special watch is its hand engraved dial realized by master-engraver Mr Bernard Ditzoff. The masterpiece’s dial is composed of three different plates made of 18K white gold. Applied on each other, this construction allows for an impressive relief effect.

The first plate represents the Grand Prix of Monaco 1967’s winner, Denny Hulme driving his Babham-Repco, he is closely followed by Graham Hill and his Lotus turning the gasworks hairpin. On the second plate lays the prestigious Monaco harbour and surrounding buildings. Lastly, the third plate is dedicated to the French Riviera’s partly cloudy speckled sky. To sublime the dial, dauphine shaped hands sweep by small lozenge indexes, the iconic symbol of Ateliers deMonaco.

Ateliers deMonaco Grand Prix de Monaco 1968 Unique Piece

The watch has a hand-brushed, hand-polished and hand-assembled 18K white gold 44mm diameter case. The sapphire case-back offers the view of the dMc 700 Ateliers deMonaco manufacture movement. This self-winding mechanical movement includes 26 rubies, has a frequency of 28’800 vibrations per hour and a 40-hour power-reserve.

What distinguishes this movement is the delicate finishing such as a 22k hand-engraved gold rotor representing the crown of the Principality of Monaco, hand-decorated bridges: Gear-train bridge, balance-cock and barrel-bar are magnified by a circular-graining. The automatic device bridge is decorated with lozenge forms, the Ateliers deMonaco signature.

The hand-stitched alligator leather strap and its 18K white gold folding buckle bring a refined finish to this unique piece.

Ateliers deMonaco Admiral Chronographe Flyback Prato

Swiss watch brand Ateliers deMonaco presents its second edition collection created in partnership with supercar manufacturing firm Prato Automobiles.

The collaboration between Prato Automobiles and Ateliers deMonaco began six months ago with the launch of the Orage motorcar and the Tourbillon Oculus 1297 Orage watch.  The watch includes a microchip inside its strap that allows opening and starting the engine of the vehicle. Thus, the Tourbillon Oculus 1297 Orage timepieces are reserved only for the elite owners of the Orage automobiles.

Introduced this year, the Admiral Chronographe Flyback Prato features a unique design inspired by modern sports cars is head-turning and perfectly embodies the identity of the Orage motorcar.

Ateliers deMonaco Admiral Chronographe Flyback Prato watch

The dMc-760 manufacture caliber comprises 226 components split between two main parts. The first is the base movement, intended for the hours, minutes and seconds functions. The second is the module that features the flyback chronograph mechanism, which is composed of 96 components.

In order to always gain in efficiency, Ateliers deMonaco has developed a patented system called “direct return to zero”. This instantaneous flyback system is in fact the simplification of a succession of events.  Instead of working successively, this system functions directly which means, pressing the pusher just once, starts the timer again from zero.

In this case, the pusher at 4 o’clock and its associated mechanism causes three tasks to be performed very quickly one after the other: first, the clutch is disengaged; secondly, the chronograph is reset to zero by means of the single-piece hammer, whose sloping surfaces turn the two zero reset hearts so that the hands reposition themselves vertically; and thirdly, the clutch engages once more as soon as the pusher is released. The sequence of movements involved in this action proceeds directly from the pusher to the clutch lever.

Ateliers deMonaco Admiral Chronographe Flyback Prato

The Admiral Chronographe FlybackPrato collection consists of two models inspired by the Orage motorcar. The first, more classic, features a polished steel case, dauphine hands and two silver-colored counters contrasting a black carbon dial mixed with 18-carat white gold.

The second, more sporty, has a black DLC steel case, dauphine hands and two rose gold color counters complementing a black carbon dial mixed with 18-carat rose gold. For both versions, Roman numerals are polished, curved, applied and treated with black PVD. The dials are adorned with the logos of “deMonaco” and “Prato”.

The 42mm case is treated with a process called Armure that allows steel to be about five times more scratch resistant than ordinary steel. Indeed, it is treated with a chemical process of diffusion of carbon at low temperature which hardens the surface of the steel.  This case is both exceptionally ergonomic and comfortable to wear.

The dials of the two Admiral Chronographe Flyback Prato models are inspired by a technique used in the automotive industry called forged carbon. Ateliers deMonaco developed a new method that includes 18-carat gold in the process.

This is the first time ever in watchmaking history that such a dial is created. To achieve this result, carbon fiber, gold and resin must be mixed and placed in a mold. Then, this mixture is heated and pressed to fix everything and form a block. Thanks to this technique, each dial is unique. After the molding process, each dial is meticulously refined to achieve the perfect shape.

The dial is made with the use of a new technology: a five axis laser. This latest innovation does not burn the material but enhances it giving the sought-after form. In this case, it is the signature symbol of Ateliers deMonaco: the lozenge. The mention Ateliers deMonaco is also written on the rim of the dial.

The two new models are recognizable by a small dial at 12 o’clock or in rose gold colour or in white gold colour. In order to be faithful to the Oculus model, an opening on the tourbillon’s cage at 6 o’clock allows us to see the heartbeat of the watch.

The Casino of Monte-Carlo is one of the great historical buildings of Monaco. Located in the heart of the city, next to the famous Hôtel de Paris, it is one of the most symbolic places of the Principality. In order to honour this beautiful monument, the watch manufacture Ateliers deMonaco took its inspiration from this mythic place and created a unique piece called Tourbillon Casino de Monte-Carlo.

This prestigious watch is composed of an automatic mechanism named Tourbillon XP1. It’s one of the first patented movements of Ateliers deMonaco and it is famous for having an incomparably precise tourbillon since it has a 0 to 2 seconds per 24 hours’ tolerance. Ateliers deMonaco Tourbillon Casino de Monte-Carlo

The calibre is covered with a sumptuous 18K solid white gold dial, passionately hand-engraved by our master engraver and representing the Casino of Monte-Carlo. It is composed of three superposed plates creating an amazing relief on this piece.

Finally, the last one features the sky and the clouds that overhang the principality’s must see monument. The hours’ indexes are applied on the dial and have a lozenge form, iconic symbol of the brand and the crest of Monaco.

Ateliers deMonaco New Admiral Chronographe Flyback Armure

Geneva-based luxury watch manufacture Ateliers deMonaco presents stainless steel versions of its Admiral Chronographe Flyback timepiece. Inspired by the armour of the “Chevalier en Armure” beared by the seal of Monaco, the Admiral Chronographe Flyback presents a special feature. The 42mm case is treated with a process called Armure which enables the steel to be about five times more scratch-resistant than regular steel.

The Armure treatment is a low temperature carbon diffusion chemical process that hardens the steel’s surface. Standard steel is normally around 220 HV (Vickers Hardness number – a quantitative measure of the hardness of metals). Following the Armure treatment, the steel can measure up to 1200 HV.

Ateliers deMonaco New Admiral Chronographe Flyback Armure

The Admiral Chronographe Flyback Armure timepieces are powered by the patented dMc-760 flyback chronograph calibre. The latter is in-house developed, in-house produced and in-house assembled in the brand’s Manufacture in Plan-les-Ouates, Switzerland. This movement is embellished by a 22K gold rotor and engraved with Monaco’s Coat of Arms.

Two new watches constitute the new Armure line, the first one comes with a full polished stainless steel case and a beautiful sapphire dial decorated with polished applied roman numerals. A light touch of blue is added on the chronograph’s seconds and on the chronograph’s minutes hands. The timepiece comes with a beautiful strap adorned with a delicate handmade blue stitching.

Ateliers deMonaco New Admiral Chronographe Flyback Armure

The second model features a stainless case treated with black DLC thereby giving the watch a very masculine and sporty note. A strong outlook accentuated by red chronograph hands and a red topstitch on the strap.

The Admiral Chronographe Flyback collection was first launched in 2015 with four elegant classic models, the following year, the collection was enriched with two models set with a sapphire dial bringing a touch of modernity to the collection. With this stainless steel addition, this line acquires a new and relaxed appearance offering a more casual look.

Ateliers deMonaco La Sirène Diamant & La Sirène Rubis

In 2011, Ateliers deMonaco created La Sirène timepiece inspired by Princess Charlene of Monaco. This timepiece celebrated Ateliers deMonaco’s first entry in high jewellery segment.

For the design of the dial, the brand used the King Protea pattern which is the national flower of South-Africa – home country of Princess Charlene. This first timepiece featured light blue topaz stones reminiscent of the colour of the princess’ eyes.

Eight years after the creation of this beautiful timepiece, and especially for Baselworld 2017, Ateliers deMonaco decided to enrich La Sirène collection with two new models: La Sirène Diamant & La Sirène Rubis.

La Sirène timepieces are powered by the in-house automatic dMc-700 calibre which is wound by a 22K solid gold rotor engraved with the shield of the Principality of Monaco. These watches have a power reserve of 42 hours and have a frequency of 28’800 beats per hour.

Fully respecting the Ateliers deMonaco aesthetics, these calibres are housed in an 18K white gold case of 39mm diameter. As a final touch, the decorations of each components are executed with precision and passion.

Entirely decorated with G – Top Wesselton diamonds, the colour and the brightness of this timepiece resembles the purity of the woman’s soul. Shrouded in a case set with 297 diamonds, a bezel set with 300 diamonds and a crown set with 20 diamonds; it’s a pure marvel.

Ateliers deMonaco Tourbillon Ronde d’Or WAT ARUN White Gold – Unique Piece Dedicated to the Wat Arun Temple in Thailand

In celebration of the Loy Krathong festival, Ateliers deMonaco has created a new piece called the Tourbillon -WAT ARUN. This traditional “fête-des-lumières” is one of the most beautiful and famous events in Thailand.

It is celebrated annually on the night of the twelfth lunar month. It celebrates the end of the rain season and honours the water spirits.  People release shaped rafts made of banana leafand decorated with candles and flowers, which then float onto the river.

This temple has been named after Aruna, the Indian God of Dawn. It is a representation of Mount Meru, the iconic representation of the center of the world in Buddhist Cosmology. In Thailand, there are over 31’200 Buddhist temples and the Wat Arun temple is the most famous one, thanks to its recognisable design. The design is very different from the other temples; it is partly made with tiny pieces of coloured glass and Chinese porcelain placed delicately into intricate patterns.

Ateliers deMonaco Poinçon de Genève Saphir Limited Edition

Swiss luxury watch brand Ateliers deMonaco adds a new model, limited to 18 pieces, to its Poinçon de Genève collection. Available in 18K white and rose gold and featuring a beautiful sapphire dial, this timepiece is the perfect blend of aesthetic appeal and technical refinement.

A watch bearing the Poinçon de Genève is not only an instrument to measure time; it is a work of art. To obtain this recognition, each watch component must be made with the utmost care and be finely decorated.

The hallmark is a symbol of exceptional aesthetic quality and guarantees that the purchased product is flawless and unique. This timepiece with its pure and dynamic lines features a beautiful sapphire dial, which enables to see the perlage decoration on the movement. Its lozenge indexes and its hand applied roman indexes accentuate its elegance.

Ateliers deMonaco Poinçon de Genève Saphir Limited Edition watch

To power this timepiece, the watchmakers of Ateliers deMonaco have equipped it with the in-house and patented dMc-708 calibre featuring a 38-hour power reserve and driving central hour, minute and second hands. The ultra-thin characteristics of this calibre enabled the brand to encase it within a 9,2mm case. The sapphire crystal case back enables to admire the hand-decorated bridges adorned with a delicate Côtes de Genève finishing.

To acquire the Poinçon de Genève, each movement from this limited edition, had to be assembled, adjusted and encased in our manufacture in the Canton of Geneva. In addition to this certification, this new timepiece also includes patented “Freebeat” adjustment system.

In a conventional regulation system, pins on both side of the hairspring are used to regulate how much it can wind and unwind hence regulating the speed of the balance wheel. By allowing the hairspring to bounce against these pins, in combination to gravity forces, the unfortunate side effect of these collisions is that it interferes with the precision of the movement itself.

Ateliers deMonaco Poinçon de Genève Saphir Limited Edition

The newly patented “Freebeat” regulation system regulates the length of the hairspring with an adjustable crémaillère (straight bar with teeth on one edge, allowing it to be fixated at different length) obsoleting the need for the pins and thus avoiding the interference.

Finally, the watch is presented with a black or a brown hand-stitched alligator leather strap with either 18K white or rose gold ardillon buckle.

Every watch stamped with the Poinçon de Genève comes with a certificate of origin, which includes a unique authentication key and QR code delivered by Timelab. These enable the purchaser to check the authenticity of the document and of the watch.

Doubtless the most striking aspect of this unique timepiece, catching and holding the gaze, is the beautiful multi-layer hand-engraved 18K white solid gold dial representing the poster of the 1966Grand Prix de Monaco.

It features the green BRM driven by Graham Hill chasing John Surtee’s red Ferrari. The scene is set in front of the renown Palace of Monaco. This Classic piece of automobilia captures the essence of the French Riviera and the excitement of the Grand Prix.

Ateliers deMonaco Tourbillon Ronde d’Or - Grand Prix de Monaco 1966

The dial of the Tourbillon Ronde d’Or Grand Prix de Monaco 1966 required an extraordinary 200 hours of work as the engraver delicately wielded the burin to extract life, adding depth and volume to a flat gold surface using a low-relief technique. The hand engraving gives to this watch its own personal touch and makes it a one of a kind creation.

Fully respecting the aesthetics of Ateliers deMonaco, this watch is housed in an 18K white gold case of 44mm, a diameter which lets leash the creativity of the brand’s craftsmen. Through the sapphire case back, one can gaze upon the patented Tourbillon XP1 movement, with its comfortable 42-hour power reserve.

Ateliers deMonaco Tourbillon Oculus 1297 Titanium

True to its technical excellence and aesthetic vision, luxury watch brand Ateliers deMonaco presents for Baselworld a new exclusive version of its most emblematic model, the Tourbillon Oculus – a masterpiece of precision watchmaking.

The number 1297 of the Tourbillon Oculus pays a tribute to the ascent of the Grimaldi Family in the year 1297. When Francois Grimaldi seized the fortress of Monaco from a rival Italian faction. Disguised as a monk, he successfully led a small army into the fortress. The legacy of his daring victory is recorded on Monaco’s coat of arms, which bears two monks brandishing swords with the lozenge pattern in the middle. The iconic and distinctive form of Ateliers deMonaco.

Reinterpretation and high-innovation are the two words that governed the creation of the Tourbillon Oculus 1297. Characterized by its modern look, with its off-centered dial at 12 o’clock and its dial aperture with the tourbillon at 6 o’clock; this new timepiece is pure perfection.

Within the titanium case of 44mm, a fusion takes place between the technical mastery involved in producing watchmaking complications and the high aesthetic standards and virtuosity required in jewellery making. Indeed, the Tourbillon Oculus 1297 has a beautiful royal blue dial which has been embellished with relief lozenges.

Ateliers deMonaco Tourbillon Oculus 1297 Titanium

This particular enhancement of the dial is made using a 5-axis laser machine, an advanced technology which firstly heats and secondly melts the material to sublime it. The overall finish of the dial gives a voluptuous play of brilliance, which underlines the elegance of the Tourbillon Oculus 1297.

Inserted into the upper part of the dial, the hours and minutes counter is a lovely embodiment of classical codes featuring Roman numeral indexes and dauphine shaped hands. The Ateliers deMonaco watchmakers have thus achieved a seamless blend of classicism and modernity in a single watch – offering a timepiece with a highly contrasted and bold design.

Produced and assembled by the Ateliers deMonaco watchmakers in Geneva, the Tourbillon Oculus 1297is powered by its own in-house patented Tourbillon XP1 movement, which drives the hours, minutes along with the small seconds. With an average tolerance between o-2 seconds per 24 hours this calibre is one of the most accurate tourbillon movements in the world today and bears witness to the Manufacture’s excellence.

Ateliers deMonaco Tourbillon Oculus 1297 Titanium watch

The Tourbillon XP1 provides remarkable technical performance and traditional watchmaking know-how with the sapphire tourbillon bridge; the hand engraved 22 carat gold rotor and the silicium escape wheel and lever. The sapphire case back enables the finesse and sophistication of the details of the movement to be observed.

The royal blue alligator leather strap and the titanium-folding buckle add a unique lustre to this exceptional timepiece. The Tourbillon Oculus 1297 also comes with a grey dial fitted either in a rose gold or white gold case. Each model of the range is limited to only 88 pieces.

Ateliers deMonaco Admiral Flyback Chronograph Top Cars Rally 2015 Special Edition

This special edition timepiece from Luxury watch maker Ateliers deMonaco celebrates their partnership with the second edition of the Top Cars Rally that was held in Italy on September 30th 2015.

Launched in 2014 by Steve Domenioz, the Top Cars Rally is a friendly sports car event created by an enthusiast for enthusiasts of fast cars.  This year’s rally started in the port of Gênes on Wednesday 30th.

After taking the ferry to Olbia in Sardinia they drove to Porto Cervo and spent three fabulous days. During this rally, the racers had the opportunity to try out their talents at the Autodromo “Franco Di Suni” Mores. Other activities included a gala organised by Ateliers deMonaco and the last day was highlighted by a yacht trip along the costa Smeralda to the island of Maddalena.

The atmosphere throughout the rally was extremely friendly, a small group of people sharing the same interests for classical cars. The fleet included a Ferrari 599 GTB, Ferrari 458, Ferrari 599 GTO, Audi R8, Mercedes GT and many more. These passionate mechanics share the same love as Ateliers deMonaco for good quality design and technical perfection.

Ateliers deMonaco Admiral Flyback Chronograph Top Cars Rally 2015 Special Edition

As the official partner of this event, Ateliers deMonaco created specifically for the Top Cars Rally 2015 a unique edition of the Admiral Flyback Chronograph limited to 8 pieces in white gold and 8 pieces in rose gold.

Ateliers deMonaco Admiral Flyback Chronograph Top Cars Rally 2015 Special Edition

This elegant timepiece features a patented manufacture flyback chronograph, which measures a succession of elapsed times, eliminates many superfluous repetitive operations.

On ordinary chronographs, the button must be pressed three times in succession to measure successive intervals: once to stop the chronograph, once to reset it to zero, once to start again. With the flyback function, pressing the flyback button once stops timing the first interval and resets the hand to zero. The chronograph hand starts again the instant the button is released.

Ateliers deMonaco PdG Collection

On the occasion of the opening of its new Ateliers in Geneva, Ateliers deMonaco (dMc) has been granted the prestigious “Poinçon de Genève” for its latest new collection “The PdG”.

Originally created in 1886 to combat counter fits, the “Poinçon de Genève” is a quality certification of the watch as a whole. Given the strict standards used, the “Poinçon de Genève” is the most demanding signature for quality in fine watchmaking, and only a very few can carry in the Haute Horlogerie.

Ateliers deMonaco PdG Collection

On top of de “Poinçon de Genève” certification, the new released dMc PdG timepieces also include the brand’s latest innovation with the patented “Freebeat” adjustment system.

Ateliers deMonaco PdG Collection

Ateliers deMonaco’s newly patented “Freebeat Regulation System” allows to regulate the length of the hairspring with an adjustable “crémaillère” (straight bar with teeth on one edge, allowing it to be fixated at different length) obsoleting the need for the pins and thus avoiding the interference.

Ateliers deMonaco PdG Collection

The PdG collection is made in a limited edition of 18 pieces per model, and retails as of CHF 18’500.-

Ateliers deMonaco Admiral Collection

Monaco based haute horlogerie brand Ateliers deMonaco launches its new timepiece, the Admiral, an exceptional mechanical flyback chronograph equipped with in-house made movement.

This patented manufacture flyback chronograph, which measures a succession of elapsed times, eliminates many superfluous repetitive operations.

On ordinary chronographs, the buttons must be pressed three times in succession to measure successive intervals: once to stop the chronograph, once to reset it to zero, once to start again. With the flyback function, pressing the “flyback” button once stops timing the first interval and resets the hand to zero. The chronograph hand starts again the instant the button is released.

Ateliers deMonaco Admiral Collection

A pending patent for the ”Direct Return to Zero” mechanism: this mechanism is unlike other chronographs directly activated by the 4 o’clock pusher. The advantage of this mechanism is that it has a multi function Flyback Hammer.

This Flyback Hammer is programmed to action: disengage the chronograph clutch wheel, engage the brake, turn the chronograph second and minute wheel. The Admiral Chronograph is made in a limited edition of 88 pieces in each version (18Kt rose gold or 18Kt white gold).

Ateliers deMonaco Grand Tourbillon Xtreme Precision Oculus Petite Minute

Ateliers deMonaco, the independent premium mechanical watch manufacturer based in Monaco, enriches its Nouvelle Horlogerie collection by introducing their latest timepiece Grand Tourbillon Xtreme Oculus Petite Minute.

Ateliers deMonaco takes its inspiration from the people, scenery and creative heritage of Monaco and design & manufactures their watches and its movements completely in-house, while most parts are produced either by themselves or by specialized Swiss subcontractors, a guarantee for the highest quality.

Ateliers deMonaco Grand Tourbillon Xtreme Precision Oculus Petite Minute

Ateliers deMonaco’s Oculus Petite Minute is powered by its own in-house developed and patented Xtreme Precision Tourbillon movement. This movement encapsulates a unique hybrid between the craftsmanship from the past and the precision and technology of the future, delivering one of the most accurate Tourbillon movements in the world today.

Five years ago, Ateliers deMonaco announced the launch of its in house developed Grand Tourbillon Xtreme Precision, regulated to have a tolerance between 0-2 seconds/24H, and making it one of the most precise Tourbillons in the world.

Ateliers deMonaco Grand Tourbillon Xtreme Precision Oculus Petite Minute

An oculus denotes a circular opening in an otherwise solid dome or wall originating out of the Byzantine and neoclassical architecture that allowed light to come through and subsequently would naturally draw the attention to this opening of light. It is also known as an “oeil de boeuf” in French or simply a “bull’s-eye“. A sapphire bridge holds the 60 seconds Tourbillon’s cage as the bull’s eye of the further solid and more classical looking Côtes de Geneve decorated dial.

This exceptional timepiece boats a unique case design – 33 components to allow for contrasting hand-finishing, blend of titanium and 18K gold with recognizable convex lines.

Ateliers deMonaco Grand Tourbillon Xtreme Precision Oculus Petite Minute

The in-house developed, manufactured and patented movement incorporates Silicium and precise manufacturing methodology like LIGA and DRIE for 10 times higher accuracy, all leading to a regulation of 0 / +2 seconds per 24H for every time piece. This precious movement is again highlighted by the iconic 18K gold Rotor with unique ATELIERS DEMONACO shield, hand guilloché finishing, decorated front & back.

Ateliers deMonaco Grand Tourbillon Xtreme Precision Oculus Petite Minute

Pricing of the new Grand Tourbillion Extreme Precision Oculus Petite Minute starts at Euros 59’000 for the 43mm Ronde d’Or 18k Rose Gold and is available in Round, Square, and Jeweled versions.

Ateliers deMonaco La Sirene

Introduced in 2011, La Sirene is a sparkling timepiece piece that celebrates the first entry of Monaco based high end watch brand Ateliers deMonaco in to the women’s high end jewellery watch category. This highly exclusive lady watch is named and inspired by Mrs Charlene Wittstock in honor of her marriage to HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco.

Ateliers deMonaco La Sirene

For the design of the dial the brand opted The King Protea (Protea cynaroides), the national flower of South Africa – home country of Charlene. It is a distinctive symmetrical form with the flower head in the genus. Importantly, the flower has adapted to survive tough conditions, including wild fires, and as such symbolizes resilience.
