DIVING WATCHES WITH WATER RESISTANCE 100 ATM / 1000 METERS/ 3280 FEET

Gyavius NAVI Diver 1,000M

GYAVIUS Watch Company, founded by Industrial designer T. Gyavurov in 2012, presents GYAVIUS NAVI, a mechanical tool dive watch.

This diving timepiece from the independent Bulgarian watch brand fuses its retro-futuristic, lug-less design with meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail.

The GYAVIUS NAVI Diver has a massive 45mm diameter 316L Stainless steel case with integrated strap bars. With a thickness of 13mm (including the dome) and strap size of 22mm, this model is also very comfortable and easy to wear. It also features a solid stainless steel case back and thick domed mineral crystal glass. It has an exceptional water resistance of 100 ATM (approximately 1,000m).

The sleek and sophisticated look of GYAVIUS NAVI is underlined by the brushed finish on the case and its sides polished to a high shine. This creates a beautiful contrast and adds a touch of elegance to the design, making it perfect for everyday wear. A bi-directional 60 click bezel in stainless steel allows the measuring of elapsed time.

The watch has a matte black dial featuring manual pad printed in white index markers. Indicating the hour, minute and central seconds, GYAVIUS NAVI features brushed stainless steel minimalistic hands. The hour marking indexes and all the three hands deploy luminous coating that radiates a green glow in the darkness.

GYAVIUS NAVI will be manufactured in small batches. Majority of the components (case, dial, hands and bezel) are made in-house. Each timepiece houses the proven the Swiss Made Sellita automatic SW200-1 movement. This calibre is capable of delivering 38 hours of power reserve.

The watch comes with fixed strap bars to accommodate 22mm wide Nato straps.

Nivada Grenchen x UNDONE Depthmaster Pixel Art Limited Edition

In collaboration with Hong Kong based watch brand UNDONE, Nivada Grenchen presents a unique collaborative edition of Depthmaster, better known as the “Pac-Man”. The Nivada Grenchen x UNDONE Depthmaster Pixel Art is a unique interpretation of the iconic diving timepiece of the 1960s

Introduced in 1965, the Nivada Depthmaster was the very first dive watch to be waterproof to 1,000 meters – or 3,300 feet. This heavy-duty diver came in a cushion-shaped steel case with a diameter of 38mm, a substantial crown, a thick metal bezel with a knurled edge and no insert, and beefy lugs.

It also stands out with the ‘Deco’ font used for the cardinal markers. This legendary dive watch is also known as “Pac-Man”, thanks to its Pac-Man style hour-markers at 6 o’clock and 9 o’clock.

Nivada, together with the team at UNDONE, has created a Depthmaster that truly gives meaning to the “Pac-Man” moniker. It has a 39mm diameter black DLC-treated stainless steel case with sapphire crystal glass and helium release valve.

Proposed in a limited edition of only 200 timepieces, this timepiece comes with a matt-black textured dial with the emblematic “Pac-Man Yellow” theme. The steel case-back highlights the text “NIVADA GRENCHEN x UNDONE” in the same yellow shade.

The watch is powered by the SOPROD P024 automatic movement. This new Depthmaster is water resistant to 1000 meters.

This new Nivada Grenchen x UNDONE Depthmaster watch is available in a very accessible retail price of CHF 950.

BALL Watch Engineer Hydrocarbon DeepQUEST Ceramic

First launched in 2011, the Ball Watch Engineer Hydrocarbon DeepQUEST is a professional-grade deep-diving instrument.

Undeniably tough and equipped with the necessary diving features, the watch has been subtly redesigned to meet new standards. The new generation model in titanium features BALL’s patented automatic helium release valve directly integrated into the crown, while its ultra-tough monobloc titanium case remains untouched and unrivalled.

The case is made of a single block of solid titanium to reduce potential interfaces and thus effects of water pressure. Titanium not only offers extreme corrosion resistance in water, but also outstanding everyday durability and strength, capable of withstanding and absorbing intense impact.

The Engineer Hydrocarbon DeepQUEST is water resistant up to 1000m/3300ft. The strong crown seals have contributed to avoid any entry of water when it is maintained in the screwed-in position. And in order to safely eliminate the pressure from the watch on the way back to the surface and avoid any damage, a patented automatic helium release valve has been incorporated directly into the crown.

The generously proportioned titanium case as well as the wide dial opening and its streamlined design also enable immediate and clear reading of the timepiece’s indications, another essential feature of any diving watch.

The markings on the rotating bezel allow the diver to accurately monitor the immersion time as well as decompression stops. The bezel has been designed to be easily gripped even with gloves on and its unidirectional rotation is an additional source of safety in the event of its accidental movement while in the water.

For the first time in ceramic, it is available in black or in dark green. Virtually scratchproof, the ceramic can withstand daily knocks and the harshest conditions, while its resistance to ultra-violet rays ensures long lasting color.

To allow instant and reliable visibility in every situation, the dial and the hands feature wider H₃ gas tubes in green and yellow colors, some of the brightest tones that glow in the dark.

The tapered stainless steel and titanium bracelet, with the BALL patented folding buckle and extension system, means the watch can be easily and safely worn on the wrist even over a diving suit. The Engineer Hydrocarbon DeepQUEST has a guaranteed shock resistance of up to 7,500Gs and an antimagnetic endurance of an intensity of up to 4,800A/m.

The 42mm diameter case houses an automatic chronometer certified caliber BALL RR1101-C. The Ball Watch Engineer Hydrocarbon DeepQUEST displays hours, minutes, sweep seconds and date.

Tag Heuer Aquaracer Professional 1000 Superdiver

During Watches & Wonders 2022 exhibition in Geneva, TAG Heuer unveiled its new Aquaracer Professional 1000 Superdiver watch.

The new professional grade diving model represents an important milestone for TAG Heuer, as it is the first timepiece from the brand utilising calibre TH30-00 produced by Kenissi Manufacture SA, one of the most highly regarded movement manufacturers in the world. The new calibre is manufactured exclusively for TAG Heuer and begins an important chapter for the history of the brand that will see significant improvements in terms of reliability and durability.

As the ultimate timepiece and dive watch, the Aquaracer Professional 1000 Superdiver displays TAG Heuer’s expertise in the field, a savoir faire that dates back over 40 years. The latest addition to the company’s lineage of ultra-water-resistant watches, the Superdiver picks up the mantle from such greats as the Heuer 1000m Diver and the Super Professional.

Launched in 1982, the 1000m Diver was a pioneer ahead of its time. With a larger 41.5 mm case and crown positioned at 4 o’clock to improve ergonomics, it was a strong entry from TAG Heuer into the world of professional dive watches, finding use with prestigious organisations, such as La Spirotechnique, the company founded by Jacques-Yves Cousteau.

The 1000m Diver was joined by the Super Professional in 1984, a watch that has become an icon among TAG Heuer dive watches. Designed specifically for professional divers, it featured a substantial matte-finished case and pronounced teeth on the bezel to make setting easier when wearing dive equipment. It was also fitted to a bracelet with an extension link to wear over a wet suit. Provided in a kit with an additional rubber strap and decompression tables, it was clearly intended for those doing the most demanding work below the waves.

With its 45 mm case, the TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 1000 Superdiver is made to resist the greatest underwater depths. The watch is extremely robust and sports a bold, but elegant, look and a thickness of just 15.75 mm, enabling the watch to resist the extreme pressure of the deep while continuing to be one of the slimmest in the deep dive watch category.

The designers have ensured optimal legibility for this maritime timepiece. The indicator for the hour is in the form of an arrow and is more imposing than in the classic Aquaracer Professional 300, with the aim of increasing underwater visibility thanks to its sizeable area for Super-LumiNova®.

The minute and second hands are orange in colour highlight the most useful hands for diving purposes. Indeed, it is no coincidence that the colour orange dominates the TAG Heuer Aquaracer Superdiver 1000. It is the very colour of maritime safety and opposes the blue of the ocean on the colour wheel, meaning it can be quickly spotted at sea.

On the dial, the horizontal striped design that already features in the Aquaracer Professional 300 collection has also been included on this watch. For the Superdiver version, the lines are set further apart, again to improve visibility.

On the ceramic bezel, the first quarter is orange, highlighting the portion most often used for timing decompression stops, which is a key technical detail used extensively by divers when taking part in deep-water exercises. The bezel is forged with black ceramic and a unique composite made of a hybrid material incorporating ceramic with an orange colour specifically developed for TAG Heuer.

The TAG Heuer Aquaracer Superdiver 1000 uses the highest grade of Super-LumiNova®, SLN Grade X1, which is extremely powerful and bright and allows for optimal legibility in the dark.

The date cyclops has been removed for technical reasons, as the technology for mounting under the sapphire crystal has become difficult to maintain at such depths. Yet, the move is beneficial to the design, as it provides the watch a cleaner aesthetic.

In the constant move toward greater durability and safety, TAG Heuer has also added a more substantial crown protector than is usually found on dive watches. The main role of the guard is to ensure the safe screwing and unscrewing of the crown and, as a result, protect the movement from any risk of water ingress.

The orange seal around the crown tube is a detail that not only recalls the orange running throughout the watch design, but also provides an important visual indicator that the screw-down crown is properly fixed. This visual detail has been passed down from the TAG Heuer Aquagraph, which integrated the system in 2003. Finally, the crown is coated in black DLC to provide a high contrast to the case and the touches of orange that bring the watch to life.

In addition to the ultra-visibility of this high-performing timepiece, the TAG Heuer teams have also worked on improving the ergonomics, notably by incorporating deeper recesses in the bezel to allow for better grip and to facilitate turning. Extensive work has also been carried out on the sound and sensory aspects of handling the bezel, which was initiated last year with the creation of the Aquaracer Professional 300 collection.

The TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 1000 Superdiver is made entirely from grade 5 titanium, an exceptional material allowing for a finish that is very similar to steel while offering outstanding ergonomics due to its reduced weight. In an exception to the rule, the caseback of the watch is made of steel to keep a good balance and reasonable weight for a professional instrument. It includes the iconic diving helmet motif, which is engraved on all watches in the Aquaracer collection and has been one of the enduring markers of the timepiece for almost 20 years.

A helium valve has been inserted into the dive watch to enable the gas to escape and damage to be avoided. The helium valve takes a rectangular form on the TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 1000 Superdiver and is finished in a black DLC coating, in harmony with the black-finished crown. It is also engraved with the letters “He”, which stand for helium in the periodic table.

The TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 1000 Superdiver also meets the most demanding of diving standards. On top of the classic accreditations, the timepiece has received ISO 6425:2018 certification for saturation divers’ watches. ISO 6425:2018 has two levels of certification: a certification for dive watches, which few watches on the market can match, and a certification for saturation diving, which is even more difficult to obtain and is also extremely rare among dive watches.

The TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 1000 Superdiver also represents another debut for the company in the form of the calibre TH30-00. A new manufacture movement certified COSC (Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres) and produced to TAG Heuer’s exacting specifications by Kenissi Manufacture SA. It has a power reserve of 70 hours.

Kenissi is a Swiss Manufacture for high-performance mechanical movements, founded in 2016 and based at Le Locle. The company produces movements renowned for their durability and quality which are best in class in the Swiss watch industry, with standards that exceed expectations.

The TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 1000 Superdiver will benefit from an extended international warranty up to five years.

The TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 1000 Superdiver comes with a custom protective case, which is as resistant as the watch, and includes a rescue dive torch. This highly technical, waterproof and crash-proof case features orange details to remain in perfect harmony with the timepiece it accompanies.

Mühle-Glashütte S.A.R. Rescue-Timer 20th Anniversary Limited Edition in 18-carat Yellow Gold

German watchmaker Mühle-Glashütte marks the 20th anniversary of its first sea rescue watch by unveiling a special edition S.A.R. Rescue-Timer.

The S.A.R. Rescue-Timer from Mühle-Glashütte celebrates its 20th anniversary at the German Maritime Search and Rescue Service (DGzRS). In February 2002 the first S.A.R. Rescue-Timer were consigned to the foremen of the DGzRS. Since then, this robust timepiece has not only had to prove itself in the arduous everyday life of the sea rescuers on the North Sea and Baltic Sea, but also with sports and sailing enthusiasts.

The family-owned, nautical timing instrument company celebrates this outstanding achievement with a limited edition in 18 carat gold.

Since 2002, the iconic brand has crafted over 10,000 S.A.R. Rescue-Timers. In addition to the well-known advantages of the S.A.R. Rescue-Timer includes a 4mm thick, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, which allows an unclouded view of the extremely legible dial at all times.

This timepiece is equipped with the SW 200-1 Mühle version. Each movement has been elaborately adjusted in six positions, with the in-house rotor and the particularly shock-proof woodpecker neck fine adjustment.

It 42-millimetre case can withstand an enormous water pressure of up to 100 bar (1,000 meters). It spotlights an exciting mix of materials in the anniversary edition, which is limited to 20 pieces. The middle section of the S.A.R. Rescue-Timer GOLD is made of 18-carat yellow gold.

It contains a very high fine gold content of 70 grams in total. The golden surfaces of the middle part are finely polished, which perfectly underlines the noble character of the exclusive anniversary edition.

The noble appearance of the case is continued on the matt black dial in gold-plated hands. These are also made in yellow gold, so they have a high contrast to the dial and thus ensure very good readability. They trace their path over indices and orientation triangles, which, unlike the series watch, are coated with pure white luminous material.

The dial is complemented by a golden rehaut and the well-known rubber bezel of the S.A.R. Rescue-Timer. Its basis is a stainless steel core, which is covered with black, shock-absorbing natural rubber.

The other components of the case are designed to match: not only is the screwed stainless steel case back coated in black PVD (physical vapor deposition), but also the screw-down crown and the four screws on the strap bars. They hold the rubber strap specially made for Mühle-Glashütte securely on the S.A.R. Rescue-Timer GOLD.

The bracelet is closed with a black stainless steel folding clasp including an extension. It is provided with a durable diamond-like carbon coating (DLC), which makes the clasp less sensitive to wear and tear.

The S.A.R. Rescue-Timer GOLD will be supplied inside a special edition box inspired by the appearance and design of the marine chronometers from Nautische Instrumente Mühle-Glashütte.

The cabinet is made of wood. Like the marine chronometer, it has a cover with a viewing window. So the S.A.R. Rescue-Timer GOLD watch can be admired not only at the time you wear but also when you keep it in the case.

BOHEN MILLE-MER

Independent French watchmaker BOHEN presents MILLE-MER, a Swiss made automatic diving watch with a water resistance of 1,000 meters. It will be limited to 500 pieces.

Designed by Blaise-Dominique Giuliani (founder of the brand), this timepiece features a stainless steel case mounted with a 60-clcik, ceramic rotating bezel. On the reverse side, it is secured with a grade-5 titanium case back.

Its domed sapphire crystal glass with inner double AR coating provides the unobstructed view of the dial. A stand-out feature of the BOHEN MILLE-MER watch is its internal date magnifier, which is a world-premiere innovation.

Usually, a date magnifier (for example the Rolex Cyclops lens) can only be glued to a flat glass. As the glass used with MILLE-MER is a curved sapphire crystal, BOHEN has developed a patented design. This innovative system features a lens magnifier connected by two bridges placed between the sapphire dome and the date window, without obstructing the movement of hands.

The watch is equipped with the customized Soprod M100 self-winding movement. Displaying hour, minute, seconds and date, BOHEN MILLE-MER has a power reserve of 42 hours. Modified according to the brand’s specifications, the movement carries the Chronofiable A8 chronometric certification by Laboratoire Dubois SA.

This 25-jewel self-winding calibre is antimagnetic and features Glucydur balance wheel and Incabloc shock proof protection system. It also features fine horology finishing methods like rhodium coating, Côtes de Genève decoration and pearled bridges. The watch is also provided with an inner antimagnetic cage for protecting the movement from electro-magnetic interferences.

The watch is equipped with a massive, screw-down crown at 12 o’ clock and a helium release valve.

MILLE-MER features a black dial with three central hands (hour, minutes and seconds) with luminescent coating, date at 3’ clock and luminescent indexes. The hands and markers employ Superluminova X1 gel, which has better intensity and duration compare to regular luminescent coatings. To beautify the exteriors, the brand has used methods like Sallaz Polishing, embossing and deep brushing.

Rated for a water resistance up to 100 ATM (1,000 meters or 3,300 ft), the BOHEN MILLE-MER watch comes fitted on a stainless Steel bracelet with integrated universal link, which allows quick change of the watch band without any tools.

Seiko Prospex 1986 Quartz Diver’s 35th Anniversary Limited Edition

Seiko expands its Prospex collection by launching the 1986 Quartz Diver’s 35th Anniversary Limited Edition.

In 1986, Seiko launched a diver’s watch that set a new standard. It combined Seiko’s legendary 1975 design with the 1,000 meter water resistance required for saturation diving with a quartz movement that delivered an accuracy that no mechanical diver’s watch could match. At the time, and still today, it was recognized as one of Seiko’s most important diver’s watches.

Today, 35 years on, this classic Seiko Diver’s watch is re-born with new design features and upgraded professional diver’s watch specifications.

Seiko Prospex 1986 Quartz Diver’s 35th Anniversary Limited Edition, Reference S23635J1

This new watch inherits all the important design features and innovations which made both the 1975 mechanical and the 1986 quartz original so greatly trusted by the professional diving community. It has the 1,000m water resistance and helium resistance that saturation diving requires and incorporates the unique one-piece titanium case with its outer protector structure that makes its shock resistance so exceptional.

It also has the accordion-style strap that ensures that the watch remains tight on the wrist at every depth. The outer protector is made of zirconia ceramic, which is seven times harder than steel, further enhancing its resistance to shock. The strap is now of high grade, strong yet flexible silicone.

As a new safety and design feature, the crown is marked with a vivid yellow “Lock” sign and an arrow to indicate the rotating direction. The winding stem is also in yellow so that the wearer can immediately notice if the crown is unlocked. The white hour markers stand out against the dark dial so that they are easy to read at depth.

The watch comes with extra-strength silicone straps in both black and blue-gray, ensuring wearability both on a wetsuit and directly on the wrist. Each strap features the text “FOR SATURATION DIVING 1000m” in yellow.

The Prospex Reference S23635J1 comes with Seiko’s tried and trusted quartz Caliber 7C46 which delivers a high level of torque so that it can move the powerful hands that are wide, robust and Lumibrite-coated for maximum legibility. It also delivers a reassuringly long battery life of 5 years.

This Prospex watch will be available in July 2021 as a limited edition of 1,200 at selected Seiko Boutiques and retail partners worldwide.

Edox Skydiver Neptunian Automatic, New Model with Orange Dial

Swiss watch brand presents an Orange dial version of the SkyDiver Neptunian automatic, a modern interpretation of the legendary Edox SkyDiver model introduced in 1973.

Water-resistant to an incredible 1’000m, the SkyDiver Neptunian is built ultra-tough to handle not only the pressures of the deep but, thanks to its strong and durable stainless-steel case, anything on the surface as well. A 3mm-thick sapphire crystal protects the classic, clean dial encircled by a ceramic bezel. The case back features a striking engraving of Neptune, the Roman God of the Sea.

The SkyDiver Neptunian’s Super Luminova X1-coated hands and indices ensure exceptional dial visibility in low light – or under water. To enhance even more the readability, the new dial is coloured in orange, one of the most visible colors below water.

This professional grade diving watch incorporates a built-in helium escape valve. The SkyDiver Neptunian’s Automatic Calibre 80 movement offers 42-hour power reserve.

Rumoured to be launched following a Swiss colonel secret request in 1973, the SkyDiver collection pays tribute to paratroopers and the extreme conditions they might face – on land, air or sea.

Mühle-Glashütte S.A.R. Rescue-Timer LUMEN

Designed for sea rescue crews, the Mühle-Glashütte S.A.R. Rescue-Timer has been accompanying the maritime rescue workers of the German Maritime Search and Rescue Service (DGzRS) on their missions since February 2002. One of its jobs is to allow clear time readings during night-time rescue missions. The lighting on sea rescue cruisers is often turned down to an absolute minimum to allow the best possible visibility at sea, but this is no problem at all for the S.A.R. Rescue-Timer.

With its large hands and indices fully coated in Super LumiNova, the S.A.R. Rescue-Timer shines in the night and allows its wearer to keep a precise record of timings for mission reports, even in pitch-black conditions.

The S.A.R. Rescue-Timer LUMEN features fully illuminate dial that is completely covered in Super LumiNova and provides a perfect backdrop to its skeleton hands with a black coating. The distinctive hands form a strong contrast to the cream-coloured background and also enable wearers to clearly view the date display in the 4 o’clock position.

The S.A.R. Rescue-Timer LUMEN takes readability at night to a whole new level. The more luminous material a watch contains, the easier it is to read in the dark. While most watches only have shining hands and indices, this new model goes one step further, turning the night into day with its entire face coated with Super LumiNova.

The new S.A.R. Rescue-Timer LUMEN is topped with an impressive 4mm-thick scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. These high quality standards continue throughout the solid stainless steel case.

In addition to its rubber bezel, the case features a screwed-down stainless steel back and a screw-in crown. This enables it to withstand powerful water pressure of up to 100 bars – perfect for a seafaring timepiece.

Mühle’s popular rubber or stainless strap keeps the 42mm case firmly on its wearer’s wrist. The LUMEN model also offers a new textile strap as a third strap option. This was developed especially for the S.A.R. Rescue-Timer LUMEN and complements the colour scheme of the watch’s unique face.

The watch houses a reliable Swiss-made automatic movement for precise time measurements. The SW 200-1 Mühle version movement is not only equipped with the efficient Mühle rotor but also features the particularly shockproof woodpecker neck regulation and is therefore regulated in six positions. It is set to ensure accuracy values of between 0 and a maximum of +8 seconds per day. This precision target forms the heart of Mühle’s own regulation standards, which comply with the German chronometer standard, and helps to ensure that the watch never runs slow.
