Jacob & Co. is a jewellery and luxury watch brand founded by Uzbek-born American entrepreneur Jacob Arabo.
Jacob Arabo (Yakov Arabov) was born in 1965 in Tashkent. In 1979, he immigrated to USA with his parents and siblings. After completing a jewellery-making course, he began working with a local jeweller in New York.
Jacob then ventured into jewellery business and founded the Jacob & Co. brand in 1986. Soon his jewellery creations became huge hit, especially among the celebrities including music artists and Hollywood actors.
In 2002, Jacob & Co. launched the Five Time Zone, a quartz watch equipped with five independent time zones. In 2007, Arabo founded his watchmaking company Jacob & Co. SA in Geneva, Switzerland. He then introduced the Quenttin, a vertical tourbillon with a 31-day power reserve. The high-horology timepiece born from the collaboration with a Switzerland based boutique watchmaking firm.
In 2013, Jacob & Co. introduced the Astronomia Tourbillon made in partnership with Luca Soprana, the founder of the Atelier 7h38 watch design studio.
The brand’s flagship collections are Astronomia, Epic x, Palatial, SF 24, Opera, Bugatti Series, Brilliant, Casino, Caviar, Twin Turbo, Billionaire and the World is Yours.
Jacob & Co.’s flagship boutique is located on 57th Street in New York. The brand also has standalone boutiques in Geneva, Miami, Mumbai, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Macao, South Korea, Japan and Vietnam.
