Born in the cradle of Swiss watchmaking, Georges Dubey was a well-known master watchmaker and a prominent professor at the famous watchmaking school, the Technicum, in La Chaux-de-Fonds. René Schaldenbrand was also equally experienced and well known in the watch industry of La Chaux-de-Fonds.

In March 1946 the first few hundred pieces went into production with the new brand name, Dubey & Schaldenbrand. The duo also filed a patent for their invention, the Chronographe à rattrapante (chronograph with split-seconds function).

In 1995, Cinette Robert revived the Dubey & Schaldenbrand by creating a new company at Ponts-de-Martel. In 2009, Jonatan Gil took over the brand from Cinette Robert and transferred its headquarters to La Chaux-de-Fonds.

The brand’s flagship collections are the 21st Century and Heritage. The Dubey & Schaldenbrand 21st Century series offers the Grand Dome DT, Grand Shar DB, Artisans Xtreme, Structure, Coeur Blanc and Lady Dome watches. The Heritage collection consists of the Aerodyn, Gran’ Chrono, Coupe, Edition Georges Dubey, Carre Cambre, Aquadyn, Sonnerie, Lady, Spiral and Sixty models.
