Franck Muller unveils the Vanguard Monolith Slim, a minimalistic watch embodying a contemporary vision of watchmaking.
With dimensions 41 mm in width and 49.95 mm in length and comprising 125 components, this timepiece exemplifies the meticulous craftsmanship that defines the collection. Every curve has been carefully refined to offer a watch that naturally fits the wrist, combining finesse and absolute comfort.
Behind its apparent sobriety, the dial reveals a subtle interplay of textures and finishes, the result of the expertise of Franck Muller’s dial makers. The alternation between polished and brushed surfaces creates a captivating luminous dynamic. The flange, hands, and central links of the bracelet catch the light brilliantly, while the rest of the watch adopts a brushed finish, affirming its resolutely modern character.
The indexes, applied by hand with extreme precision, are inserted into finely carved recesses on the dial, ensuring a perfectly homogeneous surface where only the hands emerge in relief. This meticulous work enhances the monolithic effect sought after. At 6 o’clock, a fine circle indicating the small seconds adds a touch of dynamism while respecting the minimalist aesthetics of the piece.
The Franck Muller logo, engraved with absolute precision, integrates discreetly into this quest for purity. Visible through the sapphire crystal case-back is an automatic movement with bidirectional winding, 195 components and 40 hours power reserve. It features Cotes de Genève on the bridges, rotor plate and additional plate, Perlage on the mainplate, beveling on the rotor board, diamond polishing on the sinks and bridge bevels, snailing on the ratchets, and sunray brushing on the rotor segment, bearing cage and barrel cover.
Each timepiece is fitted on an integrated bracelet. Instead of the traditional spring-bar technique, this strap is seamlessly integrated into the case using two unseen screws, creating a smooth transition between the strap and the case.
