Franck Muller Vanguard Galion Yachting

Swiss luxury watch brand Franck Muller unveils the Vanguard Galion Yachting, a collection inspired by galleons, the imposing sailing ships of the 16th and 17th centuries.

Franck Muller Vanguard Galion Yachting

The Franck Muller Vanguard Galion Yachting watch pays tribute to great explorers and legendary ships while offering a contemporary and sophisticated interpretation.

Crafted from Bronze, this timepiece embodies a flawless harmony of form and function, elegantly accentuated by its refined proportions of 44 mm in width and 53.7 mm in length.

Behind the meticulously hand-applied numerals, the dial reveals a subtly traced map, similar to an ancient parchment, evoking the routes of navigators who charted their course on uncharted seas.

The bronze and brown color palette is directly inspired by the sextant, the emblematic navigation instrument used to measure a ship’s position by observing the height of celestial bodies in relation to the horizon.

The watch houses an automatic calibre composed of 191 meticulously assembled parts. Offering a power reserve of 40 hours, this bidirectional automatic movement displays the hours, minutes, seconds, and date. This movement boasts Côtes de Genève on the bridges, rotor plate and additional plate, Perlage on the mainplate, beveling on the rotor board, diamond polishing on the sinks and bridge bevels, snailing on the ratchets, and sunray brushing on the rotor segment, bearing cage and barrel cover.

Each Franck Muller Vanguard Galion Yachting watch is fitted on an integrated strap. Instead of the traditional spring-bar technique, this strap is seamlessly integrated into the case using two unseen screws, creating a smooth transition between the strap and the case. It is further enhanced by meticulous stitching along its edges, contributing to both its durability and refined appearance.
