Cyrus Genève DOMINION GMT
Designed by master watchmaker Jean-François Mojon, the new Cyrus Genève DOMINION GMT watch features a distinctive 42 mm round case and retrograde dual time function. Unveiled at Watches and Wonders 2025, this timepiece is available in two editions: Dominion GMT Gold, limited to 25 pieces and Dominion GMT Titanium produced in 28 pieces.
This Cyrus Genève watch, crafted in 5N rose gold and titanium inlays on the lugs or full grade 5 titanium, is equipped with the signature retrograde GMT function.
The exclusive styling of the case with its iconic double crown and the three dimensional dial give the watch an absolutely unmistakable identity. Its new round case measures 42mm in diameter without crowns.
Its smooth and sinuous lines give it a one-of-a-kind appearance, thanks to the singular elongated lugs surrounding the emblematic and functional twin crowns, personalised with the logo and decorated with slanting grooves for better manipulation. In 5N rose gold combined with titanium inlays on the lugs or in full grade 5 titanium, it has a polished/brushed finish and is water-resistant to 10 atm.
The slim bezel leaves plenty of room for the dial, which is designed to make the functions readable at a glance.
A double anti-reflective sapphire crystal protects both the dial and the rear of the case, which bears the engravings: Movement by J.F. Mojon, water resistance and limited edition “One of XX”.
Dominion GMT comes with black alligator leather strap fastened to wrist with a personalised pin buckle matching the case materials.
The main actor of the Dominion GMT is the amazing and appreciated 3D architecture of its dial, which instantly displays both the local time and the second time zone on 24-hour.
The multi-layered display adds depth and the original design of the calibre’s upper bridge is a real eye-catcher. In the shape of a palm tree, it emphasises the motion of the movement’s springs, wheels and gears.
This component, finished with a galvanic treatment in the shade of 5N rose gold, lends luminosity to the dial and endows the watch with a precious allure. It boasts a circling finish and micro-beaded edges, alternating with opaque laser-finished matt flat rays.
When it comes to reading two time zones simultaneously, the Dominion GMT can certainly be classified as a “user-friendly” device. Generously sized black open-worked central hands for the local time function with Arabic numerals on a transparent disc and a retrograde hand with a triangle-shaped tip on a matt opaline grey arc at the centre of the display with a mix of Arabic numerals and dots for reading the second 24-hour time zone.
The two time zones are clearly visible. Arabic numerals, indices and hands are all treated with white Super-LumiNova®, which emits a blue glow in low-light conditions, including the propeller-shaped hand that stands out above the small seconds display at 6 o’clock.
Dominion GMT is driven by the self-winding CYR708 calibre developed by Jean-François Mojon. Comprising 278 components, it has a variable-inertia balance wheel beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz) and a single barrel providing 55-hour power reserve.
The sapphire crystal porthole allows the wearer to enjoy the finely decorated mechanism. From the bridges with a NAC-treated surface embellished with embossed rays with a brushed finish alternating with micro-beaded flat rays and beveled edges, to the open-worked single-block oscillating mass adorned with the Maison’s helix-shaped logo and the engraved motto “The Conquest of Innovation.
