The iconic French watchmaker YEMA has launched a new online Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for the mass production of its Superman Bronze watch housing the in-house CMM.10 calibre.
Based in Morteau, the cradle of French watchmaking, YEMA is a purveyor of the long horological tradition of this region. CMM.10 is a new manufacture calibre from the Maison.
It took about 3 years of development to create this automatic 3-hand movement. Endowed with modern architecture, it offers excellent chronometric precision, 70-hour power reserve and high resistance to magnetic fields and shocks.
Just like its previous in-house movement projects, YEMA has decided to launch an online crowd funding campaign to finance the production of Manufacture calibre CMM.10. Launching of 10th November, the new Kickstarter campaign will offer the first Superman Bronze models equipped with the new CMM.10 caliber.
Tracing its origins to the 1960s, YEMA Superman is an iconic diving watch made in France. In 2019, the brand launched the new Superman Bronze watch housing the in-house caliber MBP1000. The Kickstarter project for this timepiece was a great success thanks to the pledges from more than 1,220 backers.
The French manufacture also conducted various Kickstarter campaigns for funding its special projects, including the YEMA Wristmaster Traveller Micro-Rotor limited edition watch with the Manufacture Morteau 20 (CMM.20) Caliber.
This year, the brand has decided to capitalize the power of crowd-funding to promote its newly developed in-house Caliber CMM.10. The YEMA Superman Bronze CMM.10 is the first timepiece to be equipped with this new self-winding movement.
Designed and developed by YEMA, the Calibre CMM.10 is an extremely precise movement with high resistance to magnetic fields and shocks. Beating at 28,800 vph (4 Hz), it has a daily accuracy rate of -3/+5 seconds. Its components (bridges and main plate) are manufactured directly in YEMA’s workshops in Morteau.
Dressed in a 39mm or 41mm case, the new YEMA Superman Bronze CMM.10 is available in 2 dial colour versions: gradient blue and lacquered black. Each version is limited to 1,948 pieces.
Fitted with a sapphire crystal exhibition glass, each case back is engraved with a unique serial number and limited edition number.
