SPEAKE MARIN introduces two new timepieces from the ONE & TWO ACADEMIC collection: ACADEMIC Black Tie and ACADEMIC White. Unveiled at Watches & Wonders 2023, these new watches are available in 38mm and 42mm case versions in Grade 5 titanium.
In the new ACADEMIC Black Tie model, the dial is dressed with rich deep polished black lacquer topped with applied Roman numeral hour markers at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o’clock. Crafted in black matt with Super-LumiNova, the 0.5 mm tall indices ensure perfect readability at all times.
At 1:30 (thus One & Two) the small second counter is formed by a grey chapter ring, while on the flange, the grey minute track marks every five minutes in orange.
These touches of light and colour, along with the central rhodium-plated SPEAKE MARIN hour and minute hands, bring a sense of contrast and balance to the intense black dial, as does the SPEAKE MARIN signature positioned directly across from the small seconds.
In the ACADEMIC White version, the dial is illuminated with shiny white lacquer. The 0.5 mm in height applied Roman numeral hour markers at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o’clock are sharp, crafted in white matt with Super-LumiNova, for perfect legibility in all lighting conditions.
At 1:30 the small second counter is formed by a white chapter ring, while on the flange the white minute track marks every five minutes in orange.
Equipped with the automatic movement Calibre SMA03 with fully-integrated microrotor, ACADEMIC Black Tie and White models offer a power reserve of 52 hours.
The round tubular Piccadilly case re-designed in 2017 by Eric Giroud, large fluted crown and folding buckle are in Grade 5 titanium.
These new watches come with a leather strap in black or white color.
