The BA111OD Chapter 4.2 Lily Tourbillon is the first women’s watch complication with an NFC-connected sapphire crystal.
Introduced in 2021, the BA111OD Chapter 4.1 The Veblen Dilemma Tourbillon premiered the first NFC-connected sapphire crystal in the history of watchmaking.
Unveiled at the Time to Watches exhibition in Geneva from March 28 to April 1, 2023, Chapter 4.2 Lily Tourbillon combines the warmth of a rose gold coating, the purity of natural diamonds and the softness of a ceramic bracelet with the watchmaking magic of the most desired of complications.
Designed by Liliane Murenzi, the Senior Designer of BA111OD, this ultra-feminine mechanical timepiece fuses the warmth and elegance of a rose gold PVD coated titanium case with the resistance of a bracelet with ceramic links, external links in steel with rose gold PVD treatment.
The open-worked dial features a tourbillon cage between 6 and 8 o’clock. The indexes are transformed by nine diamonds.
BA111OD is the first watch brand to offer models with NFC (Near Field Communication) connected sapphire crystal, which enables contactless communication between two devices in the near field, within 1 cm.
This technology provides a link between the physical watch and the digital world, but only if the customer wishes. By scanning the watch, the NFC glass allows the customer to transmit their business card or any other predetermined link directly to the other person’s phone.
With a very feminine architecture, horns that blend into the case, very few angles and polished bridges, this timepiece distances itself from its much more raw masculine counterpart.
With the exception of the brand’s iconic crown, which is located at 4 o’clock, as with the brand’s other models. This new model combines softness and power in its design: 40mm diameter case, made of grade 5 titanium, coated with 4N pink gold PVD. On the dial, 9 natural VVS diamonds set in a circle represent the hours.
Inside, a hand-wound mechanical movement beats at 21,600 vibrations per hour. Developed and produced in La Chaux-de-Fonds by the renowned watchmaker Olivier Mory, this tourbillon caliber, whose cage turns on itself in 60 seconds, has an impressive power reserve of 105 hours, or more than 4 days.
The BA111OD Chapter 4.2 Lily Tourbillon watch is now available at a price of CHF 5,850.
