Casio has announced the OCW-S7000C, a new OCEANUS Manta chronograph model that expresses the beautiful sparkle of the sea surface reflecting the city night light. It will be released on 13th October 2023 in a limited edition of 1,200 pieces worldwide.
OCEANUS is an analog radio-controlled solar watch based on the concept of “Elegance, Technology” and combines advanced functionality with a sophisticated sporty design.
The new OCW-S7000C is based on the OCEANUS Manta OCW-S7000 model, which has a tachymeter and has a sporty feel, and has multiple laser treatments on the sapphire glass bezel, making it perfect for urban nights. This is a limited edition watch inspired by the shining light on the sea surface.
By combining four types of laser processing with varying depths and patterns on the sapphire glass, and then vapor depositing purple and blue gradations, the company has created a beautiful bezel design whose shine changes depending on the viewing angle. The dial uses a pattern of recrystallized titanium that has been heat-treated to create a unique crystalline pattern, and is coated with the same gradation vapor deposition as the bezel to create a natural sparkle with refined luster.
The chronograph is easy to use. It comes with a direct start function that starts stopwatch measurement with a single push of a button. When measurement begins, the second hand, small hand, and mode hand all point to the 12 o’clock position.
