Swiss luxury watch brand ArtyA presents Curvy Purity Tourbillon, a new model with a tonneau-shaped sapphire crystal case featuring a sleek, ergonomic design.
ArtyA is one of the first brands to adopt sapphire crystal for its watch cases. Thanks to its perfect transparency, this material enables the beauty of mechanical movements to be admired from every angle. It also offers remarkable scratch resistance, enabling exemplary durability and longevity. Sapphire crystal has an extraordinary hardness of 9 on the Mohs scale, making it the third hardest natural material after diamond and moissanite.
ArtyA’s years of experience in the field have made it possible to create the sophisticated sapphire crystal case of the Curvy Purity Tourbillon.
The arched, profiled sides of ArtyA’s new Curvy Purity Tourbillon present a design that is both elegant and technical. The rounded angles amplify the presence of the 17mm 4Hz tourbillon floating in its center at 6 o’clock, whilst the case remains harmoniously sized at 38.5 x 43mm.
Designed by Jérémie Arpa, Yvan and Dominique Arpa’s son, the barrel-shaped case offers more ergonomic lines than on round or rectangular models.
Created in collaboration with Swiss high-end movement manufacturer Télôs Watch SA, the shaped movement of Curvy Purity Tourbillon has been entirely redesigned to fit the singular tonneau-shaped watch case.
Recognizable by its remarkable axial symmetry and the crown positioned at 12 o’clock, the Curvy Purity Tourbillon movement might be considered as the culmination of the collection.
The assertively sized 17mm flying tourbillon has been positioned at 6 o’clock to allow an ideal view of its rotation. Thanks to the double barrel mounted in parallel, it offers an appreciable 72-hour power reserve.
Above the double barrel, the dial showcases ArtyA’s meticulous approach to skeletonization. Here, cast-iron sandblasting and hand-beveling serve to subtly optimize the display of time indications for clear legibility.
Priced at 135,000 CHF (Swiss Francs), ArtyA Curvy Purity Tourbillon is available in a limited edition of just 13 pieces.
