Seiko Presage Craftsmanship Series SPB403, SPB405 & SPB407

Japanese watchmaker Seiko expands its Presage Craftsmanship Series by introducing three new models: SPB403, SPB405 and SPB407. These new references boast artistically crafted dials spotlighting either enamel or Urushi Lacquer technique.

The first model (reference SPB403/ SPB403J1/ JDM SARX105) has a pristine white enamel dial hand-made by master craftsman Mitsuru Yokosawa and his team. It incorporates grey metal bar indexes as well as blue hands for hour, minute, and seconds.

The second Seiko Presage timepiece (reference SPB405/ SPB405J1/ JDM SARX107) has a deep black urushi lacquer dial created by lacquer master Isshu Tamura and his team. The metal bar indexes in white contrast perfectly with the urushi lacquer, enhancing legibility.

The urushi lacquer dial is also available in green, adding another color to the renewed Craftsmanship Series with new dials.

The newly developed five-row stainless steel bracelet with a mirror finish on the side is both elegant and ergonomic.

All three of the new Presage creations feature a recently updated case design with refined angles and an elegant sense of proportion conceived to highlight the craft in each dial. Together with the dual-curved sapphire crystals, the watches have a slimmer appearance on the wrist than previous creations in the series.

The versions with white enamel and black urushi lacquer dials come with five-link stainless steel bracelets with super-hard coating.

The green urushi lacquer dial watch (reference SPB407/ SPB407J1) comes on a casually elegant brown leather strap with a three-fold clasp and push-button release. The material for the leather strap is sourced from Leather Working Group-certified tanneries.

These new models are equipped with the in-house automatic Caliber 6R55 with a power reserve of 72 hours. This marks the first time that this three-day movement has appeared in the Presage Craftsmanship Series.

All three watches will be available at the Seiko Boutiques and select retail stores worldwide from October 2023.
