Audemars Piguet presents a new Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar Openworked watch crafted in 18-carat white gold and set with 962 brilliant-cut diamonds (~6.9 carats). It comes with a transparent sapphire dial, granting sight of the open-worked self-winding movement.
The bezel, bracelet and case, all executed in 18-carat white gold, have been purposely designed to accommodate precious stones. The bezel incorporates 32 baguette-cut diamonds (~2.8carats), while the case and bracelet are fully-set with962 brilliant-cut diamonds (~6.9 carats).
The sapphire dial affords views of the open-worked perpetual calendar Calibre 5135. Upholding Audemars Piguet tradition, the movement components have been decorated with refined hand-finishing techniques, including satin brushing, circular satin and polished chamfers.
Pink gold applied hour-markers and Royal Oak hands impart meaning while contributing to the overall sense of grandeur. The subdials are also framed in pink gold, clearly demarking the calendar indications, while their smoked external zones elegantly recall the black inner bezel encircling the sapphire dial.
The watch’s sapphire caseback reveals the refined decorations adorning the movement, which include circular graining, circular satin, satin brushing, snailing and polished chamfers. The 22-carat gold open-worked oscillating weight is further embellished with “Clous de Paris” finish.
From September 2023, this model will be sold exclusively in Japan before being released globally from December 2023.
