Norwegian micro watch brand ÁIGI has launched a Kickstarter campaign to promote its Arctic GMT model. This affordable automatic GMT watch for Globetrotters features an additional 24-hour hand and a two-way rotating 24-hour bezel to track different time zones.
The 24-click, bi-directional rotating bezel features an elegant two-tone design. It comes with a lighter color adorning half of the bezel insert (from 6 to 18), and a darker shade embracing the other half from 18 to 6. This ensures quick differentiation between day and night at a glance.
The Arctic GMT features a double-domed, box-shaped sapphire crystal glass with an anti-reflective coating on the inside, ensuring a clear view of the time while protecting the watch from scratches.
Measuring a diameter of 41mm, its stainless steel case offers a comfortable fit for wrists of various sizes. The lug to lug length is 44 mm and thickness is 11.95mm (14mm including domed sapphire crystal).
The ÁIGI Arctic GMT boasts a special and enchanting appearance, thanks to a harmonious blend of circular, horizontal, and vertical brushing on the case and bracelet, enhanced by selective polished areas.
The watch is available in four dial versions: black, white, green, and blue. The sandwich pattern dial has an attractive grainy texture. The hands and index hour markers on the dial as well as the markers of the 24H/GMT bezel are enhanced with Swiss Super-LumiNova pigments: blue (BGW9) or green (C3).
Each Arctic GMT timepiece houses a Seiko NH34 automatic movement with 24 jewels, date, hacking seconds, 21,600 vph, and 41-hour power reserve. In addition to local and secondary time-zone functions, it displays the date at 3 o’clock.
On the rear side, the watch features a stainless steel screw-in case-back ring with engraved GMT table, and a sapphire crystal glass that allows the view of its mechanical movement. Equipped with a screw-down crown, this timepiece is water-resistant up to 20 ATM/ 200m.
Each Arctic GMT watch comes with an integrated stainless steel bracelet, which features vertical brushed main links, complemented by polished centre parts and angled sides.
Moreover, the Arctic GMT case is compatible with straps from ÁIGI’s Arctic Diver and Satellite Ground Station collections, allowing customers to modify the looks according to their preferences.
In addition, ÁIGI is offering integrated FKM rubber straps that perfectly complement the new Arctic GMT, as well as the Satellite Ground Station and Arctic Diver watches.
The ÁIGI Arctic GMT Watch Kickstarter campaign period is from 18th August to 12th September 2023. The pledges start at NOK 3,095 (about $295 US dollars). Estimated delivery: Dec 2023.
