Swiss luxury watch brand Parmigiani Fleurier has launched a new rose gold version of the innovative Tonda PF GMT Rattrapante model.
Introduced in 2022, the Tonda PF GMT Rattrapante features a world premier horological function known as Split GMT.
Dedicated to globetrotters, this innovative complication is composed of two superimposed hour hands, one in rhodium-plated gold and the other in rose gold.
Pressing the 8 o’clock pusher makes the 18ct rose gold hand dedicated to local time perform a one-hour jump, revealing the rhodium-plated gold hand displaying home time. Once the dual-time information is no longer required, pressing the crown-integrated pusher enables the 18ct rose gold hand to resume its place above the rhodium-plated gold hand in the manner of a chronograph split-seconds hand.
The inaugural Tonda PF GMT Rattrapante model released in 2022 comes with a platinum case and Milano Blue. The new version joining in 2023 is an 18ct rose gold model.
Fitted on a solid gold bracelet, this new reference comes with a Milano blue dial featuring a finely barleycorn guilloché pattern.
Inside the watch beats the in-house Calibre PF051. Equipped with a rose gold micro-rotor, it offers a power reserve of 48 hours.
Visible through the sapphire crystal case-back, this 31-jewel automatic movement spotlights traditional fine watchmaking decorations like Côtes de Genève, Perlage, and Grain d’Orge guilloche (micro-rotor).
