Casio presents the new special edition EDIFICE ECB-40MU watch in collaboration with Honda’s works brand MUGEN.
Founded in 1973, MUGEN Motorsports (M-TEC Company, Ltd.) is now celebrating its 50th anniversary.
In addition to manufacturing and selling parts for Honda automobiles, MUGEN has been involved in a variety of motorsports-related activities, such as F1, the Isle of Man TT race 1, and the top categories of domestic racing as a professional racing team.
The ECB-40MU is the first collaboration watch between MUGEN and Casio EDIFICE. With black as the base color, the MUGEN corporate colors of white, red, gold, and black are used for the dial, loop ring, and darning threads on the band.
The bezel is engraved with the font used for the shift knob, which is the grip part of the “Mugen” shift lever, creating a special feeling unique to the limited model.
The case is made of carbon fiber reinforced resin, with four-legged lugs inspired by the suspension of racing cars. This timepiece comes with an Alcantara® strap, which has excellent durability and breathability.
The mobile link function via Bluetooth® makes it easy to automatically adjust the time and set the world time. It also offers functions such as a schedule timer function that displays the start and end time of the schedule on the LCD in cooperation with the calendar application of the smartphone.
