Swiss watchmaker Eberhard & Co. has released two new versions of its iconic 8 Jours Grande Taille watch.
Already in 1997, Eberhard & Co. was one of the first Watchmaking Maisons to offer a model featuring an extended power reserve. The historic Eberhard 8 Jours watch featured a 39mm case and a hand-wound mechanical movement with 8 days of power reserve.
Subsequently, the Maison also created a larger version: the Grande Taille, with a diameter of 41 mm. Celebrating its rich history, the range has now been enhanced by two new dials: blue with an outer area in white, and white with a silvery edge. Both dials are further enriched by a Guilloché finish.
The dials are inspired by tradition, with the power reserve indicated by a scale at nine o’clock. The Roman numerals and the refined counters, alongside the vintage‐style logo, are the final touches to a timeless, stunningly elegant appearance.
The sapphire case‐back is open on the skeleton bridge, with its colour coated motive in the form of a number “8”.
