Canada based Barrington Griffiths Watch Company has launched a new line of mechanical automatic wristwatches, the Sandon.
These watches are designed and made in Canada using parts manufactured locally and internationally. They feature stainless steel cases and leather straps made in Alberta, and precision mechanical automatic movements from Miyota in Japan.
These classic 39mm automatic watches are designed, manufactured, and assembled in Canada by Calgary designer and watchmaker Mark Barrington Griffiths.
Building on the success of previous Barrington Griffiths watch models, the Sandon evokes the pocket watch and early wristwatch era with a railroad-style dial and simple, rugged construction.
The Sandon features polished stainless steel cases with brushed sides, dials in black or white, and sapphire crystals for both front and case-back.
Through the exhibition case-back, the Miyota 9015 self-winding movement can be admired. Beating at 28,800 vph, this 24-jewel calibre provides a power reserve of 42 hours.
Buyers can choose between a black or tan handmade Horween leather strap with red accent stitching.
The suggested retail price of Barrington Griffiths Sandon is $665 CAD (Canadian dollars).
