Casio is commemorating the 40th anniversary of the G-SHOCK by presenting REMASTER BLACK series with an engraved band highlighting the reference number of successive models that have achieved innovative evolutions.
From the more than 4,200 models of “G-SHOCK” released so far, 49 models that have achieved revolutionary evolution in structure, function, material, and design have been selected, and the model number is printed on the band part with a hot stamp. Four REMASTER BLACK models are available: DWE-5657RE, DW-6640RE, GA-2140RE and GA-114RE.
The model DWE-5657RE, which is based on DW-5600, includes a replaceable round bezel of DW-5700, allowing you to enjoy two different designs.
The back cover has an anniversary logo, “GA-114RE” is engraved with a star mark at the 40th minute position of the glass, and the other three models are engraved with a star mark on the lower left button at the 40th minute position. 6640RE is a special specification in which the anniversary logo appears even when the backlight is on.
As a consideration for the environment, the bezel and band are made of biomass plastic. “DWE-5657RE” and “DW-6640RE” achieve a battery life of about 5 years with a newly developed module equipped with a high-brightness LED backlight. Each timepiece is delivered with a special packaging made from recycled paper.
